EPISODE 6: APES OF WRATH PART 1
(Adapted from "Monarch of the Jungle")
This episode starts in the late morning with a wide shot of the Bald Eagle exhibit with Benny standing in the center. We then cut to his annoyed expression before he grabs his shirt with both hands and stretches it for a second, looking at it and his nametag.
He then sighs while letting go as his shirt "snaps" back to his body.
Benny: It's…it's FINE, man. You're still an employee as long as you're the team's red ranger. You've earned this shirt. Even if you aren't…THAT kind of zookeeper.
He tries to keep up a smile, but it fades a little.
Still looking a little disappointed, the young red ranger looks back at the habitat.
But as he does…something catches his eye up in the sky that makes him use his heightened sight to get a better look.
Benny: (while squinting) What the heck?
We then see through his Eagle sight that the thing catching his eye…is an army of Tri-Star ships heading towards Dolphin Coast!
Benny: (eyes widening as he gasps) OKAY, THAT'S A PROBLEM!
He quickly whips out his Morpher right as we hard cut up to this army of ships, and then inside one of them to see both an Amoebanoid piloting it, but also this week's new hunter (Adapted from the player "Gaburio") who looks like a giant walking crocodile with the helmet of a roman warrior.
Gobbledile: Sorry to keep you waiting, Earth, but I, Gobbledile, have finally arrived to chow down on all of your wild wonders! Hahaha!
(He sounds like the villain Wolfgang from 'Skylanders: Trap Team')
The Rangers: Zord time!
Gobbledile: Huh?
We then smash cut to the zords, already gigantic, and charging forward like a herd as usual.
Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Megazord Activate!
With that, the Eagle, Shark, and Lion zords all go cubic, stack on top of each other, and form the team's main mech.
Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Zoo King Megazord! Ready!
Gobbledile: The Zoo-Keepers!? No, no, no, you're here too early! Stop them!
A line of the Tri-Star ships blasts their green lasers down at the city, missing the Zoo King Megazord as it raises its blade ready to strike back.
Caleb: You think we care that we're early!?
Jackie: Go back to space, you psychos! (spins her command cube)
More ships fly by, a bit closer to the Megazord this time, but its blade cuts down at least three of them as they fly by, some still firing lasers down at the city. Over to the other two rangers, Sylvia spins her command cube and makes her Tiger zord launch its energy claws, which takes out a trio of ships. Then we cut over to Winston and get an awesome moment where once he spins his command cube, the Elephant zord goes cubic, and while still moving forward, launches into the air towards another three ships, then pushes all of them straight down out of the sky, crushing them all at once as it lands on the ground, proving the value of their cubic forms, once again.
Winston: Take them down!
Benny: Right! Reticulated Giraffe Zord!
He of course says this as he throws said smaller zord out the Megazord cockpit, making it grow into their latest giant mechanical mammal friend, before then quickly turning into its finisher-based bazooka-like mode, and connecting with the Megazord's right hand.
Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Reticulated Giraffe Zord Linked!
After a brief shot of the remaining ships looping back around into a group, we cut back to Gobbledile.
Gobbledile: (while pushing his Amoebanoid pilot) Move over! I'll drive!
Back inside the Megazord cockpit, Benny spins his Morpher top to the animal side, then he, Jackie, and Caleb plug them back in their command cubes ready to end this.
Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Giraffe Zord Wild Final Strike!
Once again, as usual, they spin the command cubes after energy pours over them, and it gets sent out as a blast from the Giraffe zord!
Gobbledile: Welp, never mind!
The monster says this as he comedically scoots off to the side and lets the Amoebanoid take back over.
The Zoo King Megazord then finishes off the remaining ship with the firepower of the Giraffe Zord, but as it does, Gobbledile hops out of his Tristar ship.
Gobbledile: Not today, Zoo-Keepers!
Sylvia: (gasps) That monster's getting away!
Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Huh?
Gobbledile: (while falling) I still have so many sights to eat!
We then see him keep falling, only to land in the forest park near the zoo, headfirst into the ground, with nothing but his feet sticking out now.
Winston: After him!
Right as he leaps up, we hard cut to the forest floor.
Because it's a monster they're looking for, the team is still fully morphed as they search for him.
Benny: (using his Eagle eyes) Ugh. The forest is too thick. I'm not picking up anything.
Jackie: Same. Lots of little sounds nearby. They're making it harder to focus, and even if there weren't, nothing I'm hearing sounds like a monster.
Winston: That, and I haven't gotten a smell out of the monster, so tracking it with my nose probably won't work.
Caleb: So…that's it!? We lost it!?
Sylvia: Well, it was a pretty big fall from the sky. Maybe it's already dead?
Benny: W-Wait! I think I see something! That way!
While we don't have a good idea of what he saw yet, Benny rushes in the direction of where he was looking, the others following behind.
Cutting ahead a few seconds later, they come to a stop and see a dark figure nearby, obscured by the camera.
Benny: T-There! I see it!
The figure jolts its head up upon hearing him, and runs for it, with Benny dashing forward.
Thankfully, he's able to leap forward and pin the figure onto the ground.
Benny: (struggling) There's no escape, monster!
?: N-No, no! Please! Don't hurt me!
(He sounds like Lavertus from "Legends of Chima")
Our red ranger is finally able to turn the figure over, but once he does…he stops…and looks down.
The dark figure also stops panicking and looks up at Benny as the others show up behind him, revealing the figure to be…the Gorilla Zooman (Adapted from the Zyuman character "Larri") from the last episode! Who we can now see more clearly with his green/red/yellow beanie and his cubic pattern clothing under a coat, and his yellow pants with room enough for his tail to stick out the back of them.
?: …What!? Power Rangers!?
Benny: (shakes his head) A gorilla!?
The Others: (push Benny out of the way) A ZOOMAN!?
?: You…you know about Zoo…(gasps) I…I can't believe it! OH, amigos!
Without another word, he pulls our heroes into a great big hug, say for Benny, who avoids it.
?: This is a miracle! (lets them go) I didn't think there would ever be any Zoomans alive on Earth, let alone with the Keeper Cubes, but…here you are!
Benny: W-Wait, you think we're—
Sylvia: Uh, y-yes, YES. We're Zoomans! And…s-so are you!
Goriz: This is wonderful! Oh, where are my manners? My name is Goriz!
Benny: N-Nice to meet you too. I'm Benny. This is Jackie, Caleb, Winston, and Sylvia.
Sylvia: Hola.
Winston: Uh, hi!
Caleb: Cheers, lad!
Jackie: Sup?
Goriz: It's a pleasure to meet you all.
Suddenly, all of their zords, including the giraffe zord, hop out from behind their backs and start making happy noises and bouncing/flying around Goriz while they do.
Goriz: (gasps) Oh, and you even found some Cubimals! Why hello there, little friends!
Winston: Uh, cube what now?
Goriz: These zords! They're called Cubimals! You know, like cube animals? Did you not know that?
Jackie: Uh, we're still a little new to the whole, ranger thing.
Goriz: Say no more! C-Come, come. I have a place nearby. It should be a perfect place to talk more about this. Follow me.
The rangers start following Goriz, alongside the zords, still making happy noises.
But then, a few dozen yards away, we see Gobbledile, still face down in the dirt with his legs sticking, and no music playing for comedic effect.
Gobbledile: (muffled) Ugh. Where am I…Hello?
Next, we hard cut up to space and onto the Arrow Galion.
Blockhead: Augh! Gobbledile! What is that idiot doing down there!?
The last part of this is said as he kicks a coin stack-like barrel and Insidion walks up to him chuckling.
Insidion: Your plan has failed before it even began! Just as expected from the brainless buffoons that are your hunters.
Blockhead: Enough! I don't have to take this!
Midaria: (as he starts walking out the cockpit's revolving doors) And where are you going?
Blockhead: To Earth of course!
He then turns around and continues out the cockpit's revolving door exit.
Insidion: Hmm. Should I send down some backup?
Sagittar: (while holding up a drink) Let him have his fun. With luck whatever he does will…amuse us.
Cue Theme Song (1 Minute)
Back down in the forest, we get a shot of Goriz's makeshift home. Then we cut inside to get several shots of what he has inside there. Clothes hanging, some old books with what looks like Zooman writing on them, and some hung tools for cooking and eating (some being cubic in shape). Then we see the team sitting down as a group.
Oh, and keep in mind, they're still morphed and will be for this talking scene. This is crucial to remember so keep it in mind.
Sylvia: So, how long have you been living here, Goriz?
Goriz: Not long. Got here very recently via sneaking onto a boat. I've been to plenty of other places than just here in my worldwide travels.
Winston: I see. So…I take it you're a Zooman from Zakanada?
Goriz: Ah. Yes. My home. Or should I say it WAS my home until they "ran me out"!
Caleb: You got kicked out of Zakanada!?
Goriz: Yes. You see, despite my appearance, I'm a scientist. I wanted to go study the Earth and humanity, but…the rulers I had back home were very cruel to those who wanted to know more about this planet, and well…yeah. Fortunately, I was able to escape to the Congo thanks to the Link Cube.
Jackie: Ah. Have you ever tried going back to Zakanada?
Goriz: Goodness no! And even if I wanted to, which I don't, shortly after I came here, the Link Cube vanished on me!
Benny: Oh! Well, we found the Link Cube!
Goriz: Wait, you did?
Benny: Yeah! We've had these powers for a while, some of us longer than others, and the Link Cube has been helping us control them.
Winston: We've used it to make weapons and a secret base to defend ourselves.
Caleb: If you want, you could come to see it with us!
Goriz: Of course, I'd love to see your base! Tell you what. Let's go there after we celebrate with this Wild Tea I've been saving for special occasions.
He then sits back down in the center and starts opening up the ingredients ready on the tray in front of him.
Jackie: Those ingredients look very natural.
Sylvia: And delicious!
Goriz: Of course! Nothing but the best that nature can offer for my Wild Tea!
Sylvia: Ooh, I can't wait to try some!
Benny: Is this "Wild Tea" famous in Zakanada?
Goriz: You don't know what Wild Tea is? Ha! And you call yourself a Zooman!
Benny: Well, uh, I'm not.
The music, and Goriz's tea making hands completely stop.
Goriz: I'm sorry, what?
Benny: I'm a human. (pulls out his Morpher and turns the top to the green side, demorphing him on the spot) Tada! See?
Goriz: (after a 2-second pause) Noooo!
While yelling this out, he leaps onto his feet and starts backing up!
Benny: W-What!? What is it!?
Goriz: S-Stay back!
The gorilla Zooman says this while rushing into his house, and then proceeding to throw pans and other assorted items at the team, all of them being visibly confused at this and trying to talk to him, but to no avail. After a few seconds of this, we then cut to the house from the other side and see Goriz comedically burst through one of his walls before running out into the woods. Caleb and Jackie, who are still morphed alongside Winston and Sylvia, going after him.
Jackie: (running after him) W-Wait, dude!
Caleb: (running after him) Hold on lad!
Benny: I…I don't understand!
Winston: Yeah, what the heck did you do to set him off!?
Benny: N-Nothing, I just unmorphed!
Sylvia: (sighs) I was worried this could happen.
We cut to a different part of the forest a few minutes later and then see Goriz sitting on a rock next to a river.
Goriz: I don't want anything to do with humans anymore.
After saying this, we get a wide shot that while he's facing the river, Jackie and Caleb are behind him, still fully morphed.
Jackie: I thought you wanted to study humans.
Goriz: …That's in the past. I tried to get along with humans before, but…well…
We then get some flashback footage showing Goriz trying to meet people (which is actually sentai footage of his counterpart Larri doing the same) First, we see him approach a couple sitting in some kind of public space, but when he tries to speak to them…it doesn't work out.
Goriz: Hola!
The Couple: Ah! Gorilla!
After they scream, the couple and the people around them run away, Goriz standing there confused with his arms wide open. We then see him try again with some kids in another neighborhood, but they run in terror as well, and then at a park with more people who also scream and run. However, we're going to keep up with this park scene a little longer.
This time, we see Goriz let his arms fall to his sides and his head hang down in sadness.
However, as it does, the camera pans to the right, and we see a cop stopping on a bicycle upon seeing Goriz. Once he gets off it, he quickly pulls out his GUN, to be more accurate, a revolver, and aims it at Goriz, which shocks him. The officer fires two rounds at Goriz, thankfully missing him, which makes him start running towards the nearby woods, but right as he does this, the third and final shot fired hits him right in his left arm as he continues running.
Cutting back to the present, we see Goriz grip his left arm around the spot where he took the bullet, seeing that he's patched up damage to his coat.
Goriz: …they usually fear me.
Caleb: But Benny's not a bad person. He'd never hurt—
Goriz: JUST…(sighs) Just leave me alone.
We then cut about half an hour later to down in the Sanctum, everyone finally unmorphed to talk about Goriz's fears.
Benny: Ah. So that's why he ran away from me.
Caleb: Glad we got to him in the park before anyone else did.
Jackie: Speaking of which, probably best we don't tell Martha about him for now if he's that easy to spook.
Benny: I can't believe people would be scared of him.
Winston: I can't say I blame them for being wary. Given the world we live in, they probably thought he was an ape monster and ran away.
Jackie: Big guy's got a good point. We are from different worlds, after all.
Benny: Yeah, maybe you're right about that…I just… wish I could talk to him, maybe try to help him at least, but…he's seen me unmorphed now, so I think that option's out.
Sylvia: …Well…he didn't see ALL of us unmorphed, right? And didn't he think we were Zoomans when we were in our suits?
Benny: Yeah, but…wait…(gasps) Sylvia, that's it!
We then cut back to the forest about half an hour later with a close-up of Goriz picking some plants. Then, we cut a few feet away to see Jackie and Sylvia, fully morphed, walking up to him smiling, despite their helmets hiding that they are.
Sylvia: Hola, Goriz!
Goriz: Hola, senoritas!
Jackie: Are you picking some plants?
Goriz: Why yes. I'm going to have these for lunch.
Jackie: Well, why don't we help you out?
Goriz: Oh, gracias! And if you wish, you can join me for lunch.
As he says this, the girls walk around him to start picking plants from the bushes.
Jackie: Thanks, dude.
Sylvia: Isn't this fun Benny?
The camera then pans over to show Benny, on his knees, subtly making his way into the interaction, and starting to pick some plants.
Benny: Yeah! This will go much quicker if we work together.
Goriz: Agreed! It—…
The Zooman kneels motionless as the upbeat music for the scene cuts out before he quickly jolts his head in Benny's direction. The pudgy red ranger, who's unmorphed at the moment, smiles at the ape, hoping he'll be calm.
Benny: (still smiling) …Please don't scream—
Goriz: Noooo!
With that, he gets up, dropping his picked food in the process, and runs into the forest.
Sylvia: Aw, dang it.
Jackie: Well, THAT didn't work.
Benny: True, but I'm not done yet!
Cut several minutes later where we see Goriz lifting a large wood pole with barrels at each end. As he picks it up and starts walking Winston and Caleb show up (morphed).
Caleb: Yo, Goriz! Are you grabbing some water?
Winston: We can help you out with that.
Goriz: Sure boys. Why not?
We then cut to a shot of a full water barrel being carried on the pull, then to a wide shot of the 3 men lifting the beam, the rangers struggling just a tiny bit while Goriz is completely unaffected by the wooden tool's weight.
Caleb: Wow! This water is heavy!
Winston: (a little tired) Yeah. Gotta say Goriz, you're pretty strong.
Goriz: (chuckles) I'm not losing to you kids, yet!
As he keeps walking forward…we then pan back down the beam a bit to see Benny has now snuck under and is helping to lift the water barrels.
Benny: (getting used to the weight on his shoulder) You're pretty impressive, Goriz!
Goriz: Why thank you. Nice to see my workouts are paying off.
But then…Goriz comes to a stop. This of course makes the other guys quit walking, and then he turns his head around.
Goriz: Huh? You! Get! Away!
With that, the Zooman uses a mighty push to send the wooden barrel carrier flying into the air. And while Winston and Caleb let go in time and roll out of the way quick enough, Benny is sent flying into the air before he lets go. He hits a nearby tree with a thick trunk stomach first, before falling right on his butt down onto the forest floor, getting splashed on the hit and hit by an empty barrel as the other barrel and the carrying pole land next to him.
Goriz looks up, realizing what just happened as Sylvia and Jackie show up, still morphed.
Sylvia: Oh no, amigo!
Jackie: Are you okay, dude!?
Caleb: Hey! That's going too far! (starts marching towards Goriz)
Winston: (quickly holds him back) C-Caleb, wait!
Goriz: ENOUGH! (this gets their attention) If you keep bringing that human around, then I don't want to see any of you here, ANY MORE.
He then turns around crossing his arms, waiting for them to leave.
Benny looks at him disappointed, but then Caleb tightens his fist in anger.
Caleb: (as he shakes free of Winston's grasp) Listen here you crazy cowardly chimpanzee!
Goriz: Excuse me!?
Winston: Caleb! Shut up!
Caleb: No! This needs to be said! We're humans too! (takes out his Morpher and demorphs, shocking Goriz) Go on lads!
Sylvia: (sighs) Sorry Goriz. (demorphs)
Jackie and Winston then do the same thing as their big cat-based companions.
Goriz: You're…y-you're all human? But—but if the Keeper Cubes are Zooman relics, why would they—
Caleb: Yeah! We're human! And we've been trying to be friends with you! Look, I'm sorry you got hurt by people. I'm sure that sucks. But it doesn't give you an excuse to hurt them back, and especially not when they are trying to be nice to you!
Goriz: (steps back surprised) I…I…Ugh, enough! Take your friend and your human faces and just…get out of here already! I've had enough of you!
He then angrily stomps off into the woods.
Caleb: Fine…Let's go.
The others start following him, Jackie helping Benny up.
Benny: Y-You guys go ahead.
Jackie: What?
Benny: I'm gonna take a quick walk.
Jackie: But, dude, that was a rough hit you took. Let's get you back to the Sanctum at least—
Benny: (sounding more annoyed) I'm just gonna take…a quick walk.
He then starts walking in the opposite direction of the others, but not in the direction that Goriz went, the team looking back a little confused.
Cutting ahead a couple of minutes later, we see Benny sit down atop a nice stone slap with a disappointed sigh.
Benny: (looks up and smiles) OH…Hello there.
We cut to Goriz a few yards away, seeming to have calmed down again. He slows his walking speed near a two trunk tree, then stops and slowly turns his head to his right as if he hears something from the opposite direction. After a cut ahead to a few seconds later, Goriz stops at a bushy stop with a nice opening into a small little spot which happens to be the one where Benny is sitting at the moment. But it's what Goriz sees that's very important.
He sees Benny, still sitting on the rock, holding out his hand, which has some grass he grabbed from around the rock, feeding and talking to a female Sika Deer.
Benny: There you go. I bet that tastes good.
Goriz stares at this for a second.
Benny: Alright. Y-You can get going now.
Goriz is about to quietly step back from the area, but of course, he steps on a twig. The snap makes the deer look to its right, and then run away. Benny is caught off guard a little bit by the speed at which it runs, but then he looks over to his right…and sees Goriz. Benny's eyes widen upon seeing Goriz, but the Zooman sighs and brushes the vegetation in front of him aside and walks forward a few steps forward, now making his full body clear.
Benny rubs the back of his neck nervously, trying to avoid eye contact with the gorilla…but then he speaks.
Goriz: You…You like animals?
Benny: Uh…y-yeah. I-I wanted to be a zoologist because of how much I love them so much….Kind of like…h-how you wanted to be an anthropologist, I assume.
Goriz: Umm…y-yes, I…I suppose that's accurate.
Benny: Goriz? …I'm so sorry…It must have been so painful for you…Having something you love or wanted to do for a while turn into something that you hate…Something that's just…another bad memory…I…I may not be a Zooman but…know the feeling.
Goriz: Huh? What do you mean?
Benny: When I was little, I wanted nothing more than to be a zookeeper. I love animals and I wanted to become a Bald Eagle trainer in particular…But then…(he tightens his fist and looks down) …A few years back I had a dog. His name was Buddy…(chuckles) He was such a sweet huntaway puppy…We did almost everything together for a while.
We then get some flashback footage of Benny first getting the puppy that lasts 5 seconds.
Then we see them playing together for 7 seconds.
Then we see Benny going to sleep with him on his lap in his bedroom for about 8 seconds, before cutting back to the present.
Benny: I thought taking care of him would make me…prepared to take care of zoo animals, but… (tears up) …there was uh…there was this…one day, I…I threw the ball too far out into the road, and…and there was this car coming so fast, I…I didn't mean to, I…I…
While not sobbing, Benny now has 2 tears streaming down his face, Goriz's body language shows concern.
Goriz: … That sounds terrible.
Benny: (rubs the tears away) Ugh. My point is…I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I thought…because I know how much this feeling sucks, you didn't deserve to go through it like I did.
Goriz: Oh…Well uh…g-gracias. Umm…
The red ranger then slowly walks forward and grabs Goriz hand to shake it.
Benny: If you want to run away from me…that's fine…But…I want you to know from the bottom of my heart…if I, Benny Washi, hurt you today…I'm beyond sorry. And even if it takes a long time…I want to make it up to you.
The gorilla Zooman ponders his words, starring down at the hand grabbing his for a few seconds.
But then, after those seconds are up, suddenly, Benny's Eagle zord appears from behind Benny's back making a lot of noise and flying all over the place.
Benny: (as it flies around) W-Woah, chill! What's wrong pal!?
The Eagle zord makes a "follow me" motion with its body before we cut to another part of the forest nearby.
Cutting to somewhere nearby, we see the rest of the team, going through something similar. They're running around an area of the woods with leaves coating the ground, their zords out and making panicked noises.
Jackie: Little dudes, calm down! I can't help you out if I can't hear anything nearby!
Sylvia: (spots something nearby) OH NO.
Winston: What's up, Syl?
Sylvia (battle face ready) LOOK.
The others look several yards away and see exactly what's got her sounded annoyed. Blockhead. Still searching for his hunter.
Blockhead: Come on, where are you Gobbledile!
Jackie: (as she and the others run up to him) Stop right there!
Blockhead; Huh? (stops and turns to look at them) Oh. The Zoo-Keepers.
Winston: This guy looks tough.
Sylvia: Is he made out of…cubes?
Blockhead: Scram, Rangers! The hunt's on hold until I find Gobbledile! Get lost!
He says the last part as he starts to walk away.
Caleb: (as he whips out his Morpher and presses its buttons) As if we're just gonna agree to that!
The Others: (Morphers out) It's Morphing Time! Zoo Mode Go!
Of course, they spin the stops while saying this, but instead of doing the full thing, this time they just instant morph on the spot, and right as they fully transform, they already have their Savage Blasters in hand and together they fire rapid shots at Blockhead. And while it makes him stop and turn around, the shots do nothing to him, even bouncing off him and hitting the forest floor instead as he faces back towards the 4 rangers.
Caleb: Woah! W-Well then…
He switches his blaster into the Savage Saber, the others doing the same and charging forward towards Blockhead. They try hitting him for a few seconds, but Blockhead literally just stands still and takes it as if they do literally nothing to his body, which seems likely at this point.
Jackie: What the…?
They strike him a few more times, then they all strike at once, getting in nice broad strikes at his torso. They push hard against his blocky skin, but again, he just stands there menacingly and takes it. He then chuckles and waves his arms up so hard, it makes a brief wave of wind that sends them all rolling onto the ground.
Caleb: I don't get it! How is he so hard to hurt!?
Blockhead: I'll say this one time. Scram! Unless you WANT to die of course.
Benny: Guys!
Blockhead: Huh?
Benny runs up from behind Winston, just in time. While he's not morphed, that's about to change.
Winston: (a little tired) Watch out, Benny!
Benny: Who the heck are you!?
Blockhead: I am Blockhead. One of the Shooting Star Poacher's headhunters.
Caleb: Headhunter?
Jackie: So that means he's like that Jagged freak?
While saying this, she and Caleb get back into defensive positions, followed by a very brief shot of Sylvia and Winston getting ready as well.
Hard cut to Benny's Morpher, open as he presses the necessary buttons to start morphing.
Benny: (closes it up) It's Morphing Time! Zoo! Mode! Go!
You know the drill by now, he spins the top, waves his arm while the camera pans around him, and then sticks the Morpher up into the air while opening it to transform into his glorious Red Eagle Ranger suit (only in this case, without the Morphing Sequence CGI). But right as he's done morphing, we get a shot where Benny's head and upper torso are to the left and out of focus, while an area of the forest next to him is in focus. And coming to a stop at the forest clearing edge to watch behind a tree…is Goriz.
Benny: Keeper of the Sky! Red Eagle Ranger!
Jackie: Keeper of the Ocean! Blue Shark Ranger!
Caleb: Keeper of the Savannah! Yellow Lion Ranger!
Winston: Keeper of the Forest! Green Elephant Ranger!
Sylvia: Keeper of the Tundra! White Tigress Ranger!
Benny: (poses his arms) POWER RANGERS…
The Rangers: …Zoo-Keepers! (cue sentai footage pose around Blockhead)
Blockhead: Well…I suppose one fight wouldn't hurt.
Benny: If you go ballistic, then we go…(raises arms) animalistic! PRIMAL…(said as he lowers his arms)
The Rangers: …Power! (said as they grow their suit upgrades)
Benny then instantly Fire Flashes straight toward Blockhead as triumphant music begins playing…only for it to completely stop as Blockhead catches Benny midflight and then tosses him aside to his right. Now the fight starts with Caleb throwing some Lion Lightning into his torso, which does seem to at least knockback Blockhead for a second, then Sylvia throws her Tigress Snow Strike slashes right into him, which push him back but don't seem to affect him in the slightest, followed by Jackie, not even a second after that attack is thrown, Shark Spin Dashes right into his torso. But Blockhead acted fast too, and we able to catch her and throw her a few years away.
As she recovers, Winston gets in front of her, and sends out an Elephant Earthquake, but right as it's sent out and dust/leaves/rocks fly while it flies towards the monster, Blockhead just straight up opens his arms wide open, and takes it, as if he enjoys it! But the second the flying dirt clears; Blockhead has summoned his giant rectangular blade and sends out a purple energy slash out. It flies towards Winston, who barely dodges it, then sends one toward Caleb who gets missed, then does a quick spin slash that the others barely miss, then sends a slash at Benny, which he thankfully jumps over and misses.
After Benny gets back on his feet and stretches his wings and jumps back into the fight, we cut over to Goriz.
Goriz: This is incredible.
He then says a second sentence where, while he says it, Benny flies at Blockhead and gets smacked aside, before Caleb and Jackie try to grab him by his sides and restrain him, but get shaken off, making Sylvia, who was about to attack stop and step back. Then Benny leaps back in front of him, tries to kick him, but gets blocked, then grabs Blockhead's blade and tries to push him down, but gets pushed off.
Remember, this all happens as Goriz says this.
Goriz: But how!? How could humans wield the animal spirit powers of Zoomans?
Then we cut back over to him…as he says THIS sentence.
Goriz: (gasps) Could they maybe be…N-No, that's impossible…Or is it?
Cutting back over to the team, Jackie, Caleb, Winston, and Sylvia, seeming to have briefly run out of Primal Power seeing as how they don't have them on them anymore, try to keep up the fight with Blockhead for several seconds, but it doesn't work. In fact, it results in Blockhead smacking them with his blade a bit, then making them fall on top of each other onto the forest floor before fist slamming the stacked rangers with his left hand, and then smacking them hard enough to not only send them flying several yards away but also enough as to whereas they're falling out of the sky, Benny, who's still flying with his Primal Power wings, almost gets hit by them as they fall.
Once they land on the ground, Blockhead charges his energy sword and sends out a purple lightning slash right into the 4 rangers that hits all of them at once, causes flames to spark around them, electricity to spark from them, and of course, them demorphing and fall to the ground. Not knocked out, but beaten.
Benny: (gasps while flying) No! THAT'S IT. Eagle Shredder!
Of course, he yells this in anger while pulling out his signature chain sword, then divebombs towards Blockhead with an enraged yell!
Blockhead: Talk about hot wings.
As Benny ends his dive bomb, the two clash their blades twice in a row, but after the second clash, Blockhead trips Benny with his sword and tries to slam him into the ground, though he's thankfully able to dodge it. Benny then tries to take back off into the sky, but Blockhead is able to grab him by the leg mid takeoff, and slams him back into the ground, even making feathers fly from his Primal Power wings as they're "forcefully deactivated" if you will. Blockhead then hits Benny while he's still on the ground twice with his sword right in the torso, and though Benny blocks the 3rd attempt at hitting him, the cubic brute then kicks him, pulls him up, and slashes him in the chest, before then punching him so hard, it not only sends him flying back but hard enough as to where it looks like his punch creating a mini-explosion.
Anywho, after this punch, Benny comes to a stop and demorphs, straining himself as he tries to get up.
Blockhead: (chuckles) So much for you, hummingbird.
He then raises his sword and sends out a slash of purple energy, that cuts through the ground, causing dirt and rock to fly up straight towards our Red Ranger, who is able to get on his feet as it gets close to him…but it's too late. Right as Benny gets to his feet, he doesn't react quick enough to do more than just raise his arms to protect his face as the strike blasts him back over a nearby mini cliff with a decent-sized explosion while he screams.
Goriz looks up and gasps, Caleb yells "Lad!", Jackie yells out Benny's name, Winston yells no, and Sylvia gasps out of fear.
Hard cut to a shot of Goriz running up and looking out over the cliff.
After that we hard cut to the bottom of said mini-cliff to see Benny, bruised, cut, unconscious, laying on a rock, injured, and barely able to move.
The camera then goes back to panning around Goriz who looks down in shock.
As he does, 2 of Benny's lines echo in his mind, mainly, "I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable", and "I want to make it up to you". After this panning-around moment, we get a close-up shot of Benny's Morpher, out of his hand, with the unconscious red ranger in the background.
Back over to Goriz, he tightens his left hand into a fist, looks up, and nods with a grunt, before leaping off the mini cliff down to the rocky riverside area where Benny lays, and then immediately steps toward him. He then stops in front of Benny, turns to his left, and then kneels to pick up his Morpher off the ground.
Goriz: Hold on amigo. I'll make it up to you.
The 2nd sentence is said as he stands up and then walks another few steps over to Benny before we cut to the others, arriving to look over the cliff.
Caleb: Lads, look.
Back down to Goriz, he grabs Benny's right hand and wraps their hands around his Morpher, while saying…
Goriz: Mighty Keeper Cube, I beg you…Let me lend him my animal spirit power!
We then get a shot of Benny's face…as the Morpher starts to glow. Then, we get a wide shot of the two as the camera pans up, and warm red cubic Morphing Grid energy flows from Goriz to Benny. After one more shot of them as the energy flows, we cut back to the other rangers.
Sylvia: Is he…healing him?
Winston: Your guess is as good as mine.
After one shot of Caleb and Jackie looking down concerned but hopeful, we cut back to Goriz and Benny, the energy still flowing between them, but once the camera has fully panned over to Benny…the glow of the Morpher and the energy fades. The bruises and cuts from Benny's face have disappeared, and he slowly wakes up, not in pain or shock, but like he's waking up from a long nap.
Benny: …Goriz?
Goriz: Hola! You're awake?
Benny: (looks at his hand, then back to Goriz) I felt…a warm flowing power…Goriz…(sits up) Did you…did you save me?
Goriz: …I guess I did.
He says this as he hands him back his Morpher. The others, still watching, let out a sigh of relief and smile that their friend is okay, before cutting back to Benny, who smiles and nods at Goriz's statement that they are friends…But this break is short-lived, however.
Blockhead: Too bad! You aren't saved yet!
This is said as the cubic brute runs forward, sword out, and tries to strike Benny while he's down. Then, in a seamless mix of sentai footage and original footage, Goriz and Benny get out of the way of his strike as the sword makes some rocks fly from the impact, and Benny instant-morphs quickly enough to catch his sword as it attempts to hit him.
Blockhead: (right after Benny catches his sword) Huh!? You caught it!?
Benny: (as Blockhead tries pushing down on the sword) What's going on? I suddenly feel so…so strong! Like…like I have gorilla strength in my veins!
He says the last part while pushing up the sword as Goriz watches this a few feet back, and then pushes Blockhead back.
Benny: ZOO MODE…GO!
As he yells "Go", he grips the bottom of his helmet's beak-like part…and with one swift motion…
…HE FLIPS THE EAGLE FACE OF HIS HELMET UP.
A new helmet is revealed underneath as if it was there all along, and then, with a Primal Power-like arm motion, waves of red, pure Zooman tied and animal spirit energy erupts off of him in shockwaves. Blockhead stares at this in slight awe in a closeup shot, before we cut back to Benny, as the energy slowly starts to dissipate, a new animal face forms on his chest where the Eagle face should be. This time, it's a gorilla face, and right as it forms, the arms of his suit suddenly grow incredibly thick and muscular.
Ladies and gentlemen, Benny has either gained his first battle mode!
The Other Rangers: What!?
Benny: KEEPER OF THE JUNGLE. (leaps into the air and does a mini fist slam) Red GORILLA Ranger! (Adapted from "Zyuoh Gorilla")
Winston: He switched his animal!?
Caleb and Sylvia smile and high-five each other while Jackie and Winston stare down, happy but so confused.
Goriz: (really looks at Benny's new form) WOW!
Benny raises his fist and runs toward Blockhead, ready for Round 2.
Blockhead: Hit me with your best shot.
He tries to strike Benny with his sword, but to show what an absolute unit this new form is, Benny just smacks it out of his hand in slow motion!
Blockhead: What the f—
Benny then left hooks him in the face.
Then he punches him in his torso's side with his right fist.
And then he summersaults into the air, and with both fists, slams Blockhead, HEADFIRST into the ground, so hard that it causes rocks and dirt to just erupt upward!
Goriz: Alright, amigo!
Blockhead: (shaking his head) What just happened?
Back over to the others for a second…
Jackie: His attacks are working!
Caleb: Heck Yes!
We then get a fun, partially slow motion shot as Benny either yells or imitates a gorilla noise (you decide) while beating his chest like a gorilla.
But of course, Blockhead gets up and continues the fight.
He throws a punch, which Benny catches, and then he grabs onto the monster trying to lead him away from this mini "gorge" I guess, river while Goriz stands behind them our Red Ranger on in his fight.
Goriz: Right and left, Benny! Yeah!
But right as he raises his arms when yelling that part, he sighs and lowers them, sounding kind of tired as he turns to his right.
Back to the fight, now Benny and Goriz are back in the forest and surrounded by leaves.
After about 7 to 8 seconds of the two trying to punch each other, Benny grabs Blockhead's hands as they come down, struggling to pull them down for a second, before using his strength to lift him over/behind his head and slam Blockhead onto his back. Benny then quickly recovers from that move and then blows hot air out of his helmet, which somehow grows into a gust powerful enough to blow Blockhead into a tree. How? Because of Sentai footage.
But the monster has no time to recover, as the Red Gorilla Ranger runs up and body slams him into the tree with his left arm so hard that the camera hard cuts to a wide, slightly far away shot of the forest from above as Blockhead is sent flying through the woods, even knocking over a few trees in the process.
Back to the others…
Caleb: He's at least as strong as Blockhead now!
Jackie: (shows him out of the way) Kick his cubes, Benny!
Back over to the fight…
Blockhead: (as he gets back up) If you think you've won…you're mistaken!
He then rushes towards Benny in slow motion, ready to throw a punch right into his face…but then, within a second, the Red Gorilla Ranger is not only to counter it with a punch to his fist but he hist his fist so hard that it makes a mini shockwave before sending a surge of red energy up his arm…and breaking it!
Yes! Benny punches Blockhead's fist so hard, he dislocates it from his shoulder like a person breaking their arm.
After Blockhead steps back and realizes this…the fight is about to end thanks to Benny.
Benny: Taste my Jungle FURY!
While yelling out that final word, he uppercuts Blockhead. But it's not just a normal uppercut, oh no. He uppercuts him so hard that his fist looks like it's on fire, the shot goes into slow-motion for a second as lightning sparks, and then, Blockhead launches into the air with a burst of fire, as if breaking his arm wasn't an insult to injury already!
Blockhead: (tries to sit up) That was…p-pretty good for an Earthling.
Benny: I told you. (turns around) Go ballistic? (as he turns his head around) We go animalistic.
Blockhead, beaten with smoke coming off his body while also sparking some red electricity, just lays there and laughs. Then, KABOOM. The cubic brute erupts in a bright orange fiery blast as our Red Gorila Ranger beats chest while Blockhead's cubic remains fall out of the sky.
Benny: ANIMALS WON!
Whew! That was a lot to go over. Let's check in on Sagittar and the others on the Arrow Galion, shall we?
Insidion: Impossible! First Jagged, and now Blockhead!?
Midaria is about to teleport down with a continuation coin…but then…
Sagittar: Oh, that won't be necessary, Midaria.
Midaria: What!?
Insidion: Excuse me!?
Sagittar: Just trust me you two.
A mysterious music stinger plays in the background as this is said before we cut back to Earth.
We see Benny, now unmorphed out his muscular new Gorilla form back to his normal slightly chubby look, running up to his friends ecstatic.
Benny: Guys! Did you see that!?
Winston: Heck yeah we did pal, that was awesome!
Caleb: (as he high-fives him) You KILLED IT out there, lad!
Jackie: (slightly blushing) Dude, that was some of the coolest fighting I've ever seen!
Benny: (chuckles) Thanks! I-It was just like the first time I morphed, just a rush of instinct and power and KAPOW! Oh, I gotta thank Goriz for this!
Sylvia: (looking around) Speaking of which…where is Goriz?
Benny: Wait, he's not here?
Winston: I thought he was with you?
Benny: Did we…did we lose him?
Everyone starts looking around and spots no sign of the Gorilla Zooman.
Caleb: Yo Goriz!
Sylvia: (yelling) Goriz?
Jackie: Where did you go, due?
Benny: (cups his hands around his mouth and yells out) Goriz! Where are you!?
The episode ends with a wide sunset shot from above as Benny yells this out…while the theme for Harris subtly plays; text appearing at the bottom of the screen reading…
