Author's Note: First off, thank you to everyone who took time to review any past chapter of Fertilization of You, it is greatly appreciated in knowing that some of you do enjoy the story. Secondly, I would like to apologize to anyone who while reading this story has been triggered in any sort of way, it was never my intention. However, if you are reading a rated T story, I am assuming you are above the age to know when to exit something that doesn't sit well with you. It doesn't hurt anyones feeling for you to just press the exit button if you are not liking what you are reading. I'll be honest and say that I have done that multiple times and have never felt the need to personally message someone a nasty, degrading message for writing something I didn't agree with.
Fertilization of You has been a bit of a rollercoaster for me personally and after receiving those personal messages in chapter 5, really did dampen all motivation I had for Fertilization of You. I cannot promise when and if I will continue to update Fertilization of You but I had chapter 6, sitting in my files partially written for months and felt I like it should be uploaded. It's definitely a lot shorter than my regular upload and I'm not satisfied with it all, but I hope you'll enjoy it. thank you.
Fertilization of You
Chapter 6
Depositing her keys on the island counter the pinkette massaged her temples as she thought back on her dinner with the insensible Uchiha. She had come to the conclusion that he was delusional and needed a head C.T. and MRI for a possible head tumor. She had told him numerous times that she would not have this baby but then he had to go on to say something so absurd as to start love. How was someone supposed to just start love, in her opinion, you either felt it or didn't. Simple as that.
Grumbling to herself about idiotic self-righteous men, she began to unzip her dress stripping it off of her person as she walked through the living room to the bathroom. Turning the water on she stripped the rest of her undergarments and stepped into the shower letting the hot water hit her sore back. The water pressure and the hot temperature of the water was relaxing to her aching muscles. Reaching for her strawberry and mint scented shampoo she massaged it into her scalp feeling the suds beginning to form. Twisting her sudded hair into a bun on top of her head she scrubbed her body furiously like she was scrubbing away all of her troubles.
"Love. Let's start that."
Feeling a shudder run through her body as those words replayed in her mind, she couldn't help but laugh at the man's audacity. He had said it with such confidence, as if they would be able to convey such feelings from one another. In her experience feelings like love were nothing but problems.
"Now as a doctor, I wouldn't think you would be condoning ending a life."
Scrubbing her body furiously in agitation as she remembered those words that fell from that boorish mouth. She had mixed feelings on this because this was something that she had thought about during Mei's surgery as well. Letting the loofah fall to the shower floor with a loud and heavy thud, she felt her heart had fallen as well.
"I guess I should take that as a sign. It's a sign that I should keep the baby, right? Even without a father."
Stricken with guilt she was once again reminded that Mei had almost lost her baby today during her surgery. What would she have done? Would she have been relieved if she had lost the baby or devastated? Based on the conversation they had prior to the surgery Mei was choosing to raise her baby alone and although she had seemed unsure about it, she seemed to care for the baby, worrying about the unborn child before herself. She was going to raise her baby alone without a father, while she was reminded once again that the father of her baby was adamant about being a part of the baby growing inside of her.
Looking down at her flat stomach she knew the baby was now the size of an apple seed and would be doubling in size by next week. Resting her hands around her belly she tried to picture how her mother must have felt when she found out she was pregnant with her. Their situations were completely different, her mother had been happily married with her father at the time, so she must have been ecstatic. She remembered the stories her mother would tell her growing up, how she had the closet full of dresses, and matching shoes by the time she was born and her nursery room complete. Sakura wondered if things had been different and she was ready to have a baby would she have had everything ready.
"What am I doing? Look at how that turned out." She bitterly reminded herself as she let her hands drop to her side. Ridding her mind of all thoughts, she quickly finished her shower and turned the water off when all the soap had been washed away.
She would put this day and evening behind her, closing her eyes, she cleared her mind of everything that had happened today. She needed to not think about the what if's nor let her mind wander to things it shouldn't. Pulling the blankets over her head she imagined it to be a barrier from everything that was waiting for her to be faced with.

Taking off his shoes at the door, Itachi walked through the living room and into the kitchen. Opening the top shelf cabinet, he pulled out a glass and a bottle of whiskey. Pouring himself three fingers worth of whiskey, he downed it one gulp. Rubbing his temples, he replayed the rest of the evening with the pinkette.
He had seen a myriad of emotions run across her face, the prominent ones being frustration and anger. She seemed to not believe in love, and while he could agree that he had never thought of falling in love with anyone things were different now. This was a troubling matter because at the end of the day, he knew this was the most important factor in her decision to abort the baby, apart from her career.
Her emerald orbs that usually regarded him with a cautious gaze now held a blazing fire behind them. Her face was scrunched in disgust and her eyes were narrowed as she looked upon his person.
"You think it's easy to fall in love." she began letting her hands ball into a fist on her lap, "It's not, and it doesn't last. When things go bad or not how they are planned, things become a mess and who's the one stuck in the middle, the child is."
He could see the way her body trembled as she explained herself, she was fighting an internal battle with herself to stay calm.
From what he had seen displayed from her prior, he could admit that he didn't like seeing the pinkette in this state, it was unlike the strong persona she put up. Thinking over his next words carefully he reached for glass of water in front him and took a drink to give the woman in front of him time to come out of her internal battle to fully digest his next words.
"I'm not a fool to believe that love will be easy, or that it will magically happen overnight. I just believe we should give this a shot" he said motioning between himself and the pinkette.
Moving to the sink to wash the glass that he just used, Itachi began scrubbing the glass clean when he realized that he was not alone. Placing the glass on the drying rack he saw his mother sitting on a chair at the island table looking directing at him.
"That's unlike you, Itachi." Mikoto said watching her son place the whiskey bottle back in the cupboard.
His mother was right, he hadn't reached for glass of whiskey in a while, but after his dinner with Sakura he had needed it. Turning around to face his mother he gave her a shrug of shoulders.
"Did you meet Sakura?" She asked placing her cheek on the palm of her hand, watching for any small detail that would clue her in to what her son was thinking.
"Aa." He replied placing the dishrag in the dirty bin to be washed later.
"Tell me about it." She said patting the chair next to hers.
Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath he moved around the island taking the seat next to his mother who knew too much. She looked at her son and saw for the first time a man who didn't know how to approach something. She had known that this would be hard for him, growing up she had seen him figure things out his own way, always in a completely different manner than normal.
"I took her to dinner, and we talked."
From her previous interactions with the woman she knew she mustn't have gone willingly. Sakura may be the pinnacle of a cherry blossom as her namesake suggests, however, in Mikoto's eyes, she was a anything but just a beautiful flower.
"and how did the conversation go?" She asked probing because she knew when her son decided to clam up, it would be tooth and nail before she got anything out of him.
"She's determined to go through with aborting the baby." Itachi said looking down at the countertop, his face perfectly blank. He was closing himself off.
Frowning at this, Mikoto looked at the clock on the wall behind her son, it read 10:05 pm, with the loud ticking filling the room as the silence between the two continued. Placing her hand on her son's hand caused him to look into her face questioningly.
"Have you talked to her?" and at his dubious look she reiterated, "I mean really talked to her, got to know her." Pressing his lips into a firm line, he recounted his encounters with the pinkette, shaking his head, he heard his mother sigh.
"I approached her after her shift at the hospital, she seemed distraught, but I coerced her into having dinner with me." Stopping to glance at his mother who crossed her arms across her chest lifting a brow, he continued, "I told her half of the baby was mine and that I had a right to the baby" At his mother's gasp he looked away from the obsidian eyes that conveyed disappointment, "and when she expressed that she didn't want to have a baby if both parents' didn't love each other, I suggested we fall in love."
She sympathized with her son she really did, because you didn't know you wanted something until it was here and then the next minute it was being ripped away from you. It was a cruel joke in her opinion. She had been pestering her sons for grandchildren and now that one was cooking in the oven, so to speak, she couldn't go through with having it because she sympathized with Sakura as well. The pinkette had a point, she didn't know them, she didn't owe them anything. As far Sakura was concerned, they were a pest to her life, hounding her and infringing on her privacy. She wasn't ignorant in knowing that her behavior had been unacceptable because it hadn't been she had just been caught up in finally possibly having a grandchild run around the house.
"I know you want this baby, because it can possibly be the only one that you may have." She said looking deep into his eyes to make sure that what she was saying would be heard. "but you're going to have to respect Sakura's wishes."
"I can't do that." He said pulling his hand back from his mother's grasp. "they're my family now."
"I know you mean well Itachi. I do, but coercing her and forcing her will not help the situation. She's a grown woman who is capable of making her own decisions and unfortunately, she has made her decision already." Mikoto said trying to get the importance of her words across to her son.
Not liking what his mother just said, he knew she was right. He had been pushy, a bully and had not listened to what Sakura wanted, he had been tunnel visioned with this new development in his life. In the end, as much right as he had to the baby, she did as well, more so than himself because she was an innocent bystander in a game that was being cruelly played on him.
Tightening his hands into fists he leaned over the countertop frustrated with himself because like his mother said you didn't know you wanted something until it was being ripped away from you. Feeling his mother's hand rubbing his back in a soothing matter had him leaning into the comfort in a rare show of vulnerability.

Storming through the hallway, employees scurried out of his way. The killing aura that he was emitting caused those around him to avoid him like the plague. He was not pleased with the bout of information that was given to him this morning. He stepped into the empty elevator, pressed the top button. The elevator stopped at other floors on its way to the top however, when employees saw just who was riding in the elevator, they bowed quickly averting their eyes if they made contact with the cold obsidian eyes and waited for the next one.
Pulling his phone from his pocket as the little chime was heard he read a text message from his Shisui. Stuffing his phone in his pocket in annoyance, he stepped out of the elevator making his way to his office. The gasps could be heard as employees intently focused their attention on their computer screens, attempting to look busy. He ignored all of this as he walked by and saw his secretary quickly stand up when he noticed his person, hand on his office door ready to walk in.
"G-good morning Uchiha-sama." He blurted out bending into a bow.
Looking at his middle-aged secretary who was sweating profusely from the killing aura that was exuding from himself, he took a deep breathe attempting to calm down.
"Cancel, my ten o'clock meeting and let Shisui through when he arrives." Itachi stated walking into his office with finality.
This wasn't what he needed; he could only imagine what the board members would say in regard to what the auditor findings came out to be. This was unacceptable, how could they have failed their audit investigation. He had made sure to review the books himself before it was submitted for review. Something was amiss and he would get to the bottom of it.
It was thirty minutes later when Shisui appeared in his office, his usual pleasant facial expressions were gone replaced by those of agitation. Someone was attempting to make Itachi look incompetent during the auditor's review and if their findings were leaked to the media outlet, he knew it would be a PR nightmare. Companies that had similar findings like theirs were drugged through the mud and eventually went bankrupt.
"What team was present during the audit?" Itachi asked looking up from the financial records he was reviewing.
Not knowing how to say this Shisui scratched the back of his head face in a grimace, "Sasuke's team was." Feeling Itachi's cool gaze not wavering from his person, Shisui shifted his weight onto one leg. Sasuke, Shisui's baby cousin, Itachi's dearest little brother had always idolized his big brother, so now that they were faced with this predicament it left one scratching his head, quite literally.
"Do you want me to call for Sasuke?" Shisui asked clearing his throat.
Placing the financial statement down, Itachi slowly drummed his fingers on the mahogany desk, an echo could be heard as each pad hit the desk in the eerily quiet office. "No."
It seemed that his little brother was being thrown into this game that was being played. Whoever he was up against may have had the upper hand but now that he was aware of their game, they would see who Itachi Uchiha really was.
