Chapter 5: Shark chase

As the grown-ups and the rest of Mario's friends kept looking for the gang, Hyp saw the island and thought the gang were on it. Nod and Mutt saw what Hyp was doing.

(Nod) What are you doing Hyp?

(Hyp) Those hatchlings might be over there.

(Nod) But I heard stories about Swimming Sharp-teeth in big waters. We can't swim there. It's too dangerous.

(Mutt) Yeah. Swimming Sharp-teeth are really mindless then Land Sharp-teeth. They eat randomly instead of choosing a prey.

(Hyp) Dangerous or not I'm going to that land over there.

(Nod) Then Mutt and I are coming with you.

(Hyp) I figured you want to. Come on. I saw a log that can get us across the big water.

As the gang found enough long sticks, Mario was almost ready and began crafting the ship. Peach found lots of materials and Daisy got lots of pirate ship items for it. With all of that he began crafting. After an hour it was done and it was big enough for the gang.

(Mario) Petrie. Can you go up and find a beach somewhere?

(Petrie) Petrie finds the beach not too far away. Follow Petrie.

The gang followed Petrie to the nearby beach.

(Mario) Perfect.

(Cera) You guys get on the raft. Once you're one I'll push it farther in the water.

The gang got on the raft and Cera pushed it into the water until it was free and she got on.

(Mario) It worked. Now let's get back to the mainland.

Hyp, Nod, and Mutt pushed a log to the beach, They were going up a rocky hill however.

(Nod) You sure this thing will stay on top of the big water?

(Hyp) Well it works with sticks back in the watering hole.

When they got to the top, they pushed the log into the water. But it didn't stay afloat.

(Hyp) I guess it was too big a stick.

The three then started to get back to the herd. But then they stopped when they saw bubbling water and knew what it was. A log had come back out of the water.

(Hyp) Well well. It worked after all. Alright guys. Get on. We got hatchlings to find.

So the 3 got onto the log and started paddling.

(Hyp) Sorry if I worry you Dad. But I'll be back. I promise.

As the log went farther in, Mutt saw a big grey fin.

(Mutt) Guys. A Swimming Sharp-tooth is coming.

Hyp and Nod saw the Swimming Sharp-tooth. And it was coming straight to them.

(Hyp) AAHH! Quick. Paddle.

The ship was on it way to the island but by the time the it was a couple feet away from the island, Cera lied down on her belly.

(Cera) Oh. I feel horrible.

(Peach) Are you getting sea sick?

(Ducky) Maybe you ate too much food Cera.

Just then a big fish jumped out of the ocean and tried to get Ducky but missed.

(Ducky) What was that?

Mario then saw that a long stick was sticking out of the right side.

(Mario) Whoops. Forgot to remove that big stick.

(Littlefoot) Hold on Mario. Look what's on it.

(Luigi) Tickles. What are you doing up there?

(Tickles) I want to be far away from the ocean.

Spike noticed a barrel but it had a scent coming to it and smelled like green food so he followed it and went inside the barrel.

(Toadette) Hey. What's going on?

As the barrel moved, everyone then saw what Spike was doing.

(Luigi) Spike. Get out of that barrel.

Luigi lifted the lid open and Spike popped out with green food in his mouth and that made Luigi jump and land on his back. Everyone laughed.

(Luigi) Spike. Don't scare me like that.

After he said that Spike licks him with his mouth full.

(Luigi) Alright I know your sorry and also don't lick anyone's face with you mouth full.

But then they heard a thump on the ship.

(Luigi) What was that noise?

(Daisy) Let me see.

Daisy looked around and saw something coming. Something big.

(Daisy) Guys. We got company.

(Mario) What? Let me see.

Mario used his camera to see and switched the view into underwater and It was a Megalodon Shark.

(Mario) It's a shark and coming straight towards us!

(Luigi) A shark? Where?

(Littlefoot) What's a shark?

(Mario) A kind of Sharp-tooth that lives in the ocean.

(Cera) Are you crazy?

Then without warning, the shark came and knocked its fin on the ship. Making them tilt over a bit.

(Toad) Ahh! We're under attack!

(Luigi) That's not the worst Look.

Then storm clouds gathered around and then a thunderstorm came.

(Mario) It's a storm like never seen before and if we don't stop the shark and do something quick we're gonna sink.

(Daisy) A thunderstorm seriously?

(Mario) Well the ship is armored with minerals so it will be fine. But the shark is not giving up. And somebody up here must be really upset with somebody down here. Wait a minute that's it.

But then a log came out of nowhere and the gang bumped on it. Mario then saw who else was on it.

(Mario) Hyp?

(Hyp) Hiya hatchlings. We wanted to make sure you were alright on that land over there. But a Swimming Sharp-tooth came and stopped us.

(Littlefoot) They're called sharks Hyp. Another attacked us too.

(Hyp) And now they're working together.

(Nod) Guys. More are coming.

Mario looked at the herd of sharks coming their way and knew that Nod was right. Then Mario opened a ladder for them to climb

(Mario) Quick. Move.

The 3 climbed up the ship and got on and Mario pulled the ladder back in.

(Hyp) Thanks guys

(Mario) Alright everyone, I'll steer the ship to get away from them.

But the winds were so strong that he can't steer it.

(Mario) Guys I can't steer it. The wind is too heavy.

Everyone gasped

(Petrie) This Bad, Really Bad. A Swimming Sharptooth and a Thunderstorm, We never make it to the island. Well me think the only thing left is to be thrown into the sea.

(Wario) Hey you don't have to do that Mario made multiple planks we can just walk off.

Wario bumped his arm on the ship and then a plank appeared

(Mario) Yeah thank you you're too kind.

(Waluigi) Well the good news is that we're almost there and the wind is blowing straight so the sails will help it pull. But the bad news is a lot of them are coming and well it's either the plank or the sharks?

They had no choice; they had to jump off the plank and they did and landed into the water. Then they saw the sharks coming for them and they had to swim for their lives. And after that they made it to the island

(Luigi) We made it and were alive

But as everyone else got up and they looked at where they were, they saw the jungle from the island. And the cliff that the gang climbed up during the earthquake was there too.

(Mario) Well, back to where we started. At least we're safe from the sharks and look the ships on the sand and it's in good conditions thanks to the Minerals

Mario then saw Luigi laying on his side on the ground holding onto his knees and he was also whining and his body was shaking.

(Littlefoot) Luigi?

(Mario) He's afraid of sharks.

(Luigi) Please don't put me back in there. I would rather be eaten by Land Sharp-teeth.

(Cera) Me too.
