Chapter 6 - Battle Trials
Izumi was PISSED, not like she wasn't always pissed, but this time she had a valid reason to be pissed. Well not really a "valid" reason but that didn't matter. It was the end of her first day at UA and she hadn't had a single chance to confront that Candy Cane Cunt that has the sheer fucking audacity to not only copy her looks but from what she'd seen in the tests earlier, he even had a similar quirk to hers as well.
It's not like she hadn't tried to have a very normal totally not violent talk with him, however every time she was about to start her little chat (aka violent interrogation), one of the teachers would show up and stop her. Izumi was guessing that Mr. Aizawa tipped off the rest of the UA staff that she would try to start something with her lookalike, making this a matter she'd have to resolve outside of school.
Or it would have been if the bastard hadn't vanished into thin air as soon as the day was over, Izumi had learned his name was Shoto Todoroki and the son of the number 2 hero. Meaning he was a rich boy with fat stacks of cash laying around, he probably gets a god damn chauffeur to drive his ass to school and back. As a result the only way she could get a hold of him would be if she stalked him back to his house.
However at that point her pride informed her that he probably wanted answers just as much as her, so she wouldn't go to him, instead he would have to come to her! To sort all this shit out.
"Good evening Midoriya!" Izumi was brought out of her skulking by Iida running up to her.
"What do you want Glasses?" she huffed back.
"Despite your crassness you have clearly dedicated yourself to becoming a hero and showed great foresight during the test today, I have to admit that you are better than me!" Iida stated, now walking side by side with Izumi "I have to say Mr. Aizawa really demonstrated that you have to be the best of the best for UA."
"HA, well at least you know it now!" Izumi said with a laugh "I thought this Extra would have a big ego, but it looks like he knows his place." she thought with her MASSIVE ego.
"Hey you two wait up!" Shouted Uraraka, running up to them "You two heading to the station? let's walk together."
"Oooh, you're the infinity girl." Iida said.
"Hi, I'm Ochaco Uraraka and you're Tenya Iida right?" she turned and brightly smiles at Izumi "And I already know you Michan."
"HUH! THE HELL YOU JUST CALL ME?! ARE YOU MAKING FUN OR ME!? I'LL MELT YOUR EYES OUT!" Izumi yelled, however she just received another smile from Uraraka and something about not threatening your classmates from Iida that she chose to ignore.
"I can call you Midoriya if you want." Uraraka said, unfazed by her threat (already pretty used to them) "I just think Michan sounded a lot cuter."
Izumi didn't answer right away "Tsk, whatever, call me that if you want. I don't care." she finally grumbled out.
Izumi started walking away with Iida and Uraraka following close behind as they headed to the train station.
It was the next day and their second day as UA students "So normal." was the collective thought of the class as they suffered through a myriad of boring ass classes which was just too normal for a hero school in Izumi's opinion. Sure there was the gimmick of the classes being taught by Pro Heroes but apart from that it was just a normal high school.
However the insufferable boredom ended for the class coming after lunch, the only class Izumi really gave a fuck about. Fundamental Hero Studies.
"So who do you think our teacher will be?" asked Kaminari.
"I wonder if it'll be Mr. Aizawa." replied a kid with black hair and freaky up elbows, like seriously how the fuck does he even get his arms through sleeves?
The classroom was abuzz, excited for their first hero lesson and curious of the mystery of which Pro would be teaching them.
Suddenly the door flew open with a crash, drawing everyone's attention "I AM HERE!" All Might yelled into the room, striking a weird pose while holding onto the door frame "Coming through the door like a normal person!"
The class erupted in a cacophony of cheers due to the appearance of thee Number one hero.
"It's All Might!"
"He really is a teacher at UA now."
"He's wearing his Silver Age costume, kero. So cool."
"He's giving me goose bumps."
Izumi could have made a snarky comment about how that was very much NOT coming through the door like a normal person. But how could she, it was ALL MIGHT for fuck sakes, even if her and Kacchan were going to surpass him they both still revered the man.
"I will be your Fundamental Hero Studies teacher." he said "In this class you will learn the basics of being a hero! Let's get right into it, today will be..." he whipped out a card that read BATTLE "COMBAT TRAINING!"
"Cobat..."
"...training!" Izumi said, finishing Kacchan's sentence for him, they both were grinning maniacally.
"And to go with that are THESE!" he pressed a button on a remote, revealing shelves from the wall with cases on them "COSTUMES!"
"Now go change and meet me at Ground Beta!" were his final words before he ran out the classroom at speeds that were hard to track with the eye.
"They say clothes make the men Young Ladies and gentlemen. And from how on you are HEROES!" All Might exclaimed as the students filtered out of the tunnel leading into Ground Beta "Lets see what you've got ya Noobies!"
Izumi was beyond ecstatic to beat the others down and show them who's the alphas of the class, as far as she was concerned at the moment it was exclusively her and Kacchan in that category. She was also amazed at how well her costume had turned out as well as the fact that the support item she'd requested had actually been approved, she wondered who in the Support Department was crazy enough to build her what she was now packing.
Izumi's costume consisted of a simple white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up just below the elbows, a bright candy apple red waistcoat and accompanying tie that was tucked in between the waistcoat and the shirt. Her long legs were covered by a pair of white suit trousers with the shirt tucked in, her footwear was a pair of red leather dress shoes which had white laces and subtle spikes lining their soles. She had on a pair of gloves, a white one with snowflake patterns on her right hand and a red one with flame patterns on her left hand. And crowning all of it was a white fedora with a red band around it donning the top of her head with her mane of red and white flowing freely down her back. The clothes clung tightly to her body, showing off her lean yet muscular build as well as her moderate bust and sizable hips.
"Wow Michan! You look so cool!" Uraraka complimented "Your giving of a wild yet cool mafia sort of vibe."
"I know I look good!" Izumi snappily replay, she also gave Uraraka a once over causing the girl to squirm a tad "And I guess you don't look to shit yourself Cheeks, unlike that diaper baby over there, like what the actual fuck was he thinking." she pointed to Mineta over her shoulder.
She swears she heard him say "insult me more!" but she was going to pretend she didn't for her own sake.
"Thanks. But they ended up making it a bit too skin tight for my liking, it's embarrassing." Uraraka said sheepishly while rubbing the back of her head, at that moment Uraraka noticed something attached to Izumi's wait that she missed before "MICHAN! IS THAT A GUN?!"
"Fuck yeah it is!" Izumi happily said and whipped said gun out of its white leather holster. She held it up, it was a white Colt Anaconda 1990 revolver with a crimson handle and gold out lines along the barrel and down the grip.
"Is.. is that even allowed?" Uraraka asked in a fearful, hushed tone. It's pretty clear to her that an angry Izumi plus gun is a bad idea "She wouldn't shoot someone though right? right?" she was trying and failing to reassure herself.
"Apparently." Izumi shrugged, holstering her revolver "But stop shaking in our boots, it's not really a gun but more of a glorified water gun."
Uraraka adorably tilted her head in confusion "What do you mean by glorified water gun?"
"With it I can store the liquid Nitrogen I make to spray at my enemy at a distance and if I insert these specially made granite muskets I can shoot lava at them." Izumi excitedly explained with an evil glint in her eye that certainly concerned everyone that heard what she'd explained.
Uraraka was shocked, one because the school actually allowed that, two because Izumi would actually use that and three because that sounded far more cruel than taking a bullet. If she wasn't already convinced enough before about never wanting to fight Izumi she was definitely sure of it now.
Izumi pulled Uraraka in close and spoke in a hushed tone so no one else could hear them "But just between you and me Cheeks. With this 'gun' I can do the same as what I did during the soft ball thrown but with the granite muskets instead. Meaning, yeah, it's also a real gun. I didn't tell the Support Department that because there's no why in hell they'd allow that."
Izumi walks to the front of the class to be next to Bakugo. Leaving a stupefied Uraraka "I am so glad Michan's not an enemy. I'd be too scared to fight her if she was a villain." Uraraka thinks and joins the rest of the class.
"You all look so cool!" All Might said "Now let's get into the exercise!"
"Sir!" Iida interjected, raising a hand "This is the battle grounds from the entrance exam. Will we be fighting against robots again?"
"NO! Young Iida. For this exercise you will be split into groups of 'Heroes' and 'Villains' for a two on two indoor team battle!" All Might explained
"Without any basic combat training? kero." Asui questioned, with her finger resting on her chin and a tilt of her head.
"HAHAHA! This is basic hero training!" All Might said with a boisterous laugh.
"What are the win parameters?"
"How bad can I beat them up?!"
"How bad can I burn them?!"
"Will the losers be threatened with exaltation like with Mr. Aizawa?"
"How will the teams be decided?"
"Isn't my cape fabulous?"
All Might wasn't prepared for the onslaught of rapid fire questions "Whoa, slow down! My quirk isn't super hearing." he huffed and pulled out a scripted "For this test the 'Villains' will be guarding a weapon in one of these buildings. The 'Heroes' will win by either apprehending both 'Villains' or securing the weapon before time runs out. Whereas the 'Villains' win by defeating the 'Heroes' or running out the clock but keeping the weapon in their possession."
"And as for the teams. They will be decided on by drawing lots." All Might finished and presented a box that said Lots on it.
Iida shot up his hand yet again "Is it truly wise to decide teams so haphazardly?"
"You know the offer for me to help find your brain is still available, because it's clear to me you still haven't found it on your own." Izumi ground out.
Iida stared at her, a little offended but more curious as to what she was meaning.
"What? You think you'll get to pick and choose who you get to work with when shit hits the fan?" Izumi asked rhetorically.
"Ah! Once again you've outshone me Midoriya with your foresight." Iida swivelled back around robotically and gave a 90 degree bow to All Might "Apologies for interrupting!"
"Anyway! Let's start the trials and pick the teams!"
Team A: Izumi Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka
Team B: Shoto Todoroki and Mezo Shoji
Team C: Minoru Mineta and Momo Yaoyorozu
Team D: Tenya Iida and Katsuki Bakugo
Team E: Yuga Aoyama and Mina Ashido
Team F: Koji Koda and Rikido Sato
Team G: Kyoka Jirou and Denki Kaminari
Team H: Tsuyu Asui and Fumikage Tokoyami
Team I: Mashirao Ojiro and Toru Hagakure
Team J: Eijiro Kirishima and Hanta Sero
"And the first two teams to go will be..." All Might plunged his hands into two different boxes, one labelled as Villains and the other Heroes "Teams B and I! B will be the heroes and I will be the villains. The teams will have 5 minutes to prepare and strategize. Now everyone else, to the observation room!"
Todoroki was angrier than usual, not that it showed on his stoic face, and the source of his frustrations was one Izumi Midoriya. She looked like his exact copy, quirk and all, she also seemed to be just as angry, violent and egotistical as his father, with a dashing of vulgarness as the cherry on top.
Though he could easily guess what's going on in this situation. If his father wanted a successor to succeed him in his goal of beating All Might, why would he only try with one woman? With more, the chances of success was higher.
However he hadn't been able to confront her about it so far due to her acting like a raging bull (just like dear old dad) every time he tried, leading to the teachers intervening and separating the two. Though, it hardly matters anymore, despite yesterday's shocking results on the quirk test he was positive he was still stronger than her with only his mothers ice. He's going to show his bastard father and his bastard kid that fact.
"START!" All Might announced through the intercoms.
Todoroki was on a mission, a mission to prove his superiority. He completely ignored what his partner, Shoji, had said to him "You might want to step outside." he said in a monotone voice.
Todoroki barely gave his partner time to leave the building before he placed his right hand on the wall and proceeded to freeze the entire building solid.
He calmly walked out the frozen building, breathing out frosty air. He didn't need to check on the enemy, he had no doubt that his attack immobilized both of them, it wasn't long until his suspicion was proven right.
"H-h-hero t-team WINS!" came All Might's shaky voice.
Todoroki took the liberty to unfreeze the building, content that he'd made his point clear.
Minutes earlier in the observation room:
"START!" All Might yelled
Everyone watched as Todoroki silently and calmly walked into the building as if he owned the place and wasn't even concerned of being attacked. Seconds later they saw Shoji rush out the building moments before the entire thing began being encased in ice, it didn't take long until every inch of the building was incased in it, the floors, the walls, the 'Villains' and the weapon. Even in the Observation Room the cold could be felt.
The whole class was stunned at the sight and display of raw power "H-h-hero t-team WINS!" All Might stammered out through chattering teeth.
"Holy Hell! This guys on a different level!" Kirishima shouted out.
"He's way too OP." Kaminari added.
"Yeah, and he's got fire that he didn't even need to use." Jirou said.
"Man, just what you'd expect from Endeavours son." exclaimed Mina.
There were only two present in the room that didn't share the sentiment of being astonished by Todoroki's ice show. Bakugo was in the back, thinking to himself while biting his lip in frustration "Could I really beat that guy?"
Izumi on the other hand stormed up to the front, unfazed by the cold. She loudly slammed her hands on the desk "That bastard must think he's better than me HUH!" she growled, expelling heat waves, unintendedly warming everyone up "I'll show that Candy Cane Cunt who's BETTER!"
Kaminari leaned close to Jirou's ear "Again, they have like, the exact same hair." he whispered, earning himself a giggle from her.
Just then the said Candy Cane Cunt strolled into the room with the other three participants of the test. Izumi glared at Todoroki with fury in her gaze and started to make a beeline straight towards him, only to be halted by All Might who placed a hand firmly on her shoulder.
"Calm down there Young Midoriya, there's no need for such hostility." he lightly said to her.
Izumi responded with a Tsk and shrugged his hand off of her shoulder. She stomped to the corner of the room, all the while continuing to glare daggers at Todoroki who himself merely spared her nothing more than a glance. Doing so pissed Izumi off to no end and not being able to do anything about it pissed her off even more!
"Well, I would have asked who the MVP of the match was. However I don't think that's really necessary now." All Might said, receiving nods all around "The MVP is Young Todoroki!"
"Now onto the second match!" All Might once again showed who would be facing off in the match "Team A as the heroes and Team E as the villains!"
Izumi and Uraraka stood outside the building while Mina and Aoyama went inside with the paper mache weapon.
"So Michan do you have a plan?" Uraraka asked.
Izumi smirked at her "I'm going to prove to everyone that I'm better than that Princess Elsa wannabe."
"How are you going to do that? Do you need my help?" Uraraka offered, she'd seen what Todoroki could do and going by Michan's attitude, she could guess that the angry girl could do about the same if not more. However that didn't stop her from wanting to help and not being totally useless.
"No, just stay out of my way Cheeks." Izumi replayed, however she didn't miss the slight finch she got from Uraraka because of her words "Tsk, it'll just be safer for you to stay back. Unlike me you're not heat proof."
Uraraka looked up at her "Is she trying to comfort me?" she shakily smiled "Ok, just be careful."
"START!" All Might announced.
Just like Todoroki did earlier, Izumi walked up to the building, she slammed her open palm onto the side of it and activated her quirk with a sneer on her face. The ice that formed around the building wasn't as apparent as Todoroki's however it had the same effect and was much colder.
A minute pass and the announcement of her victory hadn't been given, meaning that the two Extras in the building must have escaped or somehow dodged the ice "MOTHER FUCKES!" Izumi screamed.
Izumi's anger at her initial assault failing didn't last long though "Humph, it's fine. This just gives me the chance to show why I'm superior even more." she removed her right hand from the wall and this time smacked her lift hand onto it instead.
Technically she didn't have to switch hands or stay with the whole left and right shtick, but she liked to match it with her hair and new gloves.
With Team E:
Mina and Aoyama placed down the dummy weapon on the fifth floor of the building "Maaaaaan." Mina droned "I really didn't want to fight Midori after seeing what Todoroki could do."
"Don't fear mademoiselle my sparkling shall keep us safe." Aoyama exclaimed while striking a pose with his cape in hand.
"I think you'll end up blowing chunks before Midori's down and did you hear what she said to Uraraka before the training started." Mina said with a shiver and holding onto herself "I might be acid proof but I'm positive freaken lava will still melt me!"
"START!" they heard All Might shout.
It didn't take long until the entire building was flash frozen, including the bottom of their feet. It wasn't like how Ojiro's and Hagakure's whole legs were encased, however they still couldn't move.
"I-i-i-it l-looks like M-Midori is j-just as g-good a-as T-T-Todoroki." Mina managed to say through madly chattering teeth, her hero costume consisted of nothing more than a sleeveless skin tight bodysuit so to say that she was freezing right now would be like saying the desert is hot.
Aoyama was faring much better due to his costume consisting of a suit of armour but he too was freezing "B-b-but l-luckily I-I can melt t-this ice." she added and secreted acid from the soles of her feet. Freeing herself, she did the same to free Aoyama.
"M-merci m-mademois-s-selle." Aoyama said while trying (and failing) to not stutter due to the cold.
The pair waited a minute in the sub zero temperature, waiting for their opponent to show themselves. Surprisingly, they never showed. Mina was close to calling it quits and just forfeiting, she couldn't feel her anything at that point. BUT THAT'S WHAT A COWARD WOULD SAY! However the temperature started to rise, making it more bearable.
"Huh? Is it just me or is it getting warmer in here." Mina asked.
"Oui, it would seem so." Aoyama answered, but just like Mina was confused as to why. They were close to giving up, unfreezing the building wouldn't help the 'heroes' much. Would it?
It didn't take long to find out what was happening though, the building continued to get hotter and hotter until they weren't in a building anymore but a brick oven set to max heat.
Mina could barely stand on the floor, having to hop from foot to foot to stop them from burning. Aoyama had it the worst, due to him wearing a suit of full metal armour he was literally being boiled alive. To say he was hot right now was like saying the Antarctic was cold.
At that point they decided through in the towel "WE GIVE! WE GIVE!" Mina squealed, still hopping around.
"Hero team WINS!" All Might announced.
As soon as the battle trials ended both Mina and Aoyama were shipped off to Recovery Girl, none of their injuries were visible but that didn't mean they weren't still severe. Mina was suffering from hypothermia and even though she did get warmed up again that didn't mean that her skin wouldn't blister without proper medical care. As for Aoyama, he was suffering from a heat stroke and was severely dehydrated.
When Izumi walked into the observation room with Uraraka trailing behind her, all eyes fell on her. Izumi scowled "What the fuck are all you looking at!?"
Iida made his way to the front of the crowd "Midoriya, I can't argue that your methods were swift and effective. But don't you think you went a bit too far?"
Many in the room agreed with Iida, it was difficult to watch that battle, well the term 'battle' being used lightly here, it could hardly be called so.
All Might decided to chip in and actually try and do a teacher like thing "Yes, Young Iida is right. You used far too much unnecessary force Young Midoriya, if you do something like that again punishment will have to be given."
Izumi grinded her teeth and deepened her glare, she couldn't understand what she did wrong "How the fuck is it my fault if those Extras were to weak to do anything!?" she'd never been told of for beating someone before, so why now?
"Young Midoriya seems to be a mass of pride, as a teacher I must counsel her well." All Might thought "But right now I literally don't have the time."
"Putting that aside, ONTO THE NEXT BATTLE!"
The next trial was the third non-battle battle of the day, the hero team consisted of Tokoyami and Asui against the villain team of Mineta and Yaoyorozu.
To say it was boring as hell was an understatement due to the fact it was literally nothing more than waiting for the clock to time out. Yaoyorozu had sealed the bomb rooms windows and doors off with metal sheets and left it as that. Tokoyami's quirk Dark Shadow did manage to dent the metal, however that was the extent of the damage he could do.
The fourth one was at least a bit amusing, the heroes were Jirou and Kaminari, and the villains were Koda and Sato.
Jirou located the enemy team and Kaminari, in one of thee biggest dumbass yet annoyingly effective moves kamikazed himself. He managed to take out both himself and Sato with his electricity.
Izumi truly wondered how the fuck someone with a quirk that incapacitated their owner even got into UA in the first place. It's just so… stupid. (Cannon Midoriya sneezes while lying in the infirmary with several broken bones.) Like, sure she sometime hurt herself if she over did it and end up being a bit dumb for a time, but never to that extent.
It didn't take long for the heroes to win due to the fact that Koda pussied out and serenaded when Jirou arrived in the bomb room.
The last battle of the day was pretty much the only interesting one that didn't end anticlimactically, Iida and Bakugo as the heroes were pitted against Kirishima and Sero.
When the start was signalled and Bakugo was unleashed upon the enemy, he rushed straight into the building.
Kirishima ended up putting up somewhat of a fight but it didn't last long, Bakugo was relentless in his attacks, beating the pair of them black and blue. He only stopped when Iida ran in and touched the weapon, resulting in the hero's victory.
However just like with Midoriya, Bakugo's foes had to go to the infirmary to get fixed up by Recovery Girl. He also got the same warning about excessive violence as Midoriya and experienced the same confusion as she did at being told off for being superior. It just didn't compute with what the two had been taught up till this point.

So yeah, sorry for the LONG ASS wait for this chapter. To be honest I feel kinda iffy with this one, I like it and all, but this is the first time I've tried to write something before so idk really how to do it "properly".
Also on a side note, I know All Might calls the student zygotes. But I was curious as to what that actually was, so I googled it, and it turns out that it's a fertilised egg cell, aka an undeveloped fetus. So yeah fuck that.
