As they followed Fury inside, Steve looked down at the short woman behind him. She might be short, but she was a very lethal goddess…Wait, goddess? That seems a little too strong a word for her…
"You look like you're very strongly pondering something, Steve," Natasha said with a smirk that said she was trying to figure out what he was thinking of.
Steve's cheeks went red and he quickly looked elsewhere, pretending to take in their surroundings as he mentally berated himself for somehow ending up staring at Natasha. "Just…happy to see you again…" he said, glancing back at her with a smile once he was sure his cheeks weren't red enough to be noticeable.
She raised her eyebrow but didn't say anything and just gave him a smile and took a look around, which Steve took as an opportunity to do the same.
Fury had led them inside of a crumbling warehouse. As they followed him through the place, Fury eventually stopped inside of a room that had a few computers around, a fridge, a makeshift table and chairs and a rolled up sleeping bag stuffed in a corner.
Wilson went and put the pizza boxes on the table and they all went sat down. Fury handed them each a box and then leaned back and seemed to be waiting on them for something.
Questions? To start eating?
"Oh for fucks sake," Fury muttered and rolled his eyes…well, an eye, anyway. "Start eating, I'm not going to bite your head off."
Looking at each other with a small smirk, they began eating their pizzas. Steve had a broccoli, pineapple and cheese pizza while Natasha had a plain cheese and Wilson had a peperoni pizza. They had no idea what type Fury had cause he didn't open his and seemed to just be watching them casually for a little bit.
"Seriously? Captain America has broccoli AND pineapple pizza?" Natasha teased.
"You're supposed to be setting an example for the general public," Wilson snickered, shaking his head in disgust at Steve's pizza.
"It's better than you think," Steve shrugged, causing Natasha, Wilson and Fury to scoff.
"If you don't have any tastebuds," Fury remarked, causing Steve to chuckle and shake his head. While he was curious about why Fury had called them as Fury hadn't told him yet cause he had been waiting for Natasha and Wilson to come, Steve was fine with not knowing right now. Just seeing him and his friends sitting around having a good laugh and eating pizza was an amazing sight and one he didn't see that often, so he wanted to savour it as much as possible before Fury brought them back to whatever terrifying reality had set in.
