Chapter 5

Two days passed since the moment of the accident on the roof. Ikenami gave a full report to Igawa Asagi and her mentor Yatsu Murasaki. She told that she was attacked by a strange demon with dinosaur appearance and at the same time it had the power of flame. She admitted that it was stupid to separate and assured that this won't happen again. She was lectured by her mentors. And also she told about the male hunter who helped her to leave out of this situation with some scratches and bruises and they were not so critical. She gave a direct description of that hunter, but nobody could give an answer on that question and they decided to close this theme. She was told to be more careful next time and not to do such stupid and reckless acts, which can cost dearly.

After giving of her report she was lectured by her friends who were worrying about her. Maki even gave her a slight cuff on the nape, what also made the tanned girl to blush. But after this they started to ask about the person who saved her. She described his appearance, attire and weapon. She told them that the boy had features which were not appropriate to Japanese, so as she concluded that person was a foreigner and they started to deliberate about it. What could bring him here and was he alone or not. But more they thought more questions appeared, so they decided to leave this question to professionals. But still Ren couldn't let fly this boy out of her head, he was noisy and irritating, but at the same time strong in some ways. She also thought what could happen to her that night if he wouldn't appear, maybe she was turned into a sex slave like other hunters and huntresses or as the monster told she could become a dinner for him. She startled of this thought when it returned to her. But thing started to return to normal to her on next day.

This day was the same to her. The school day promised to be boring, but the first lesson was the lesson which was a bad idea to miss, since it was the lesson of Yatsu-sensei. So she decided not late for her lesson. On the way to her classroom she noticed that some of her classmates were talking about something, she has gain on but still staying behind the talkers and started listen to them.

"Hey did you hear the news?" one of them said to another.

"What is it?" another one asked with a question.

"I've heard that we have a transferred student and from this day he will study in our school!"

"You're giving me a bum steer!"

"No, it's true!" the first one didn't stop to tell about that event. "I heard it myself! To be honest I don't know in which class he will be sent, who you think it could be?" he asked his companion.

"If you're not lying, it can be an American or a Chinese Taimanin, since we cooperate sometimes, but still I'm not sure about it."

Ikenami was listening them for a bit, but then decide to give the dust them and to go straight to their classroom as the lesson was about to start. When all students took their places the blue haired woman in the doctor's robe entered the classroom and put some files onto her table and started.

"Class as some of you heard we have a transferred student at our academy. He will study and work with us for an unknown period of time." The class started to whisper and some of people have even started to talk but the mentor stopped it with a mere knock by the desk and continued as all of them stopped, "By some strange and occasional circumstances he will study in our class, I hope that you'll be kind and friendly to him." The class was calm and listened to every word of their teacher however trying to stay quite with enormous struggles. "Also I want that some of you after the lessons will show him the school and give some information about things which he must know, I mean about the village, training and etc. I hope that it's all clear to you." She stopped for a while, but then added, "Come in!"

The door opened and the boy in the uniform of the academy entered the classroom when the boy stopped in the middle of the classroom he stopped and turned the students. Ikenami rose from her place and pointed at the boy. She tried to say something, but it seemed that she lost her power of speech. "Ikenami-san, do you want to tell us something?" Yatsu-sensei asked her student. But Ikenami just merely exclaimed, "It's you!"

They could see that he had dark hair and beautiful features of face his nose was acute, his eyes were brown. He wasn't tall but still not too low, and it was clear that he had got a good completion of body but it was hiding under his uniform. But his face has made them understand that he wasn't the person of Asian nationalities. His face exuded awkwardness and some kind of hesitation. The boy looked to both sides and pointed at himself and asked, "Me?"

"There, on the roof, you helped me!" Ren didn't stop to shout. "It's definitely you, I remember your face!"

"Ikenami, I would like you to stop this if you have something to say, I'd like to meet you after the lesson at the teachers' lounge!" Murasaki has raised her voice.

"But!"

"No, buts!" the teacher said.

Ren sat onto her place, and kept quite still giving him a gimlet eye. The teacher turned to the boy and said looking at him carefully, "Introduce yourself."

The boy did a deep breath and said, "My name is Pavel Tarasov. I'm a hunter from Russian Federation." Each student were looking with amused faces at him, "Well, hobbies are to play chess, basketball, and killing demons I think. Also I hope to make a lot of friends here during my studying here. Hope we will become good friends too. I think that's all." He finished and looked at his new class teacher.

"Very well, take a free sit and prepare for a lesson, since it's your first lesson I'll advise you to put down everything what teacher tells."

"Ok, I understood." he took the last free place at the end of the class, and put a notebook on the desk and started to write. Some of students still tried to discuss the new boy, but were stopped by their strict mentor. But Ikenami was staring at the new classmate still not believing to her eyes. She didn't know what to think she was confused and puzzled at the same time, and it has made her friends Aki and Maki a bit worried about her friend.

The lesson was passing in a quite peaceful and calm atmosphere. The students were writing what the teacher was telling and also answered her questions. But Ren was keeping an eye on their new classmate and at the same time to the one who aided her during her last mission. She still was trying to understand was just it an occasion or is someone trying to mock her. The boy noticed the gaze which was aimed at him from the left, and turned his head. He saw the face of the girl with blue short hair. Her fringe was directed to her left part of her face, but still not closing her face. It gave him an opportunity to see her blue eyes, her eyes could be comparable with it purity to the colour of a sea water. He looked at her arms which were separated on the desk; he could finally notice that she was a bit muscular what gave her a special charm. He decided to wave her with his hand and give a friendly smile, not wishing make this situation more awkward. She squeezed her fist, but her face kept calmness, then she turned away to the teacher's side and thought, 'Is he provoking me? As I remember, the only thing he did is provoking me, he was so irritating! No matter I must focus on the lesson!'

The boy saw her fist and that she turned away, he couldn't understand what made her to become so angry, he tried to remember their last meet, but remembered nothing what could make her angry, indeed he gave her some advices, but it couldn't be that. But still if she is a vulnerable person than it could strike her a lot. He concluded that it's not a good idea to think so much at the lesson of Yatsu Murasaki as her scolding was really harsh. The transferred student saw only one time what punishments she gave to those who committed offence during her lessons, so he decide to listen to her very attentively. As the lesson was over and everyone was about to get up from their chairs she said.

"By the way you will also have a new teacher." The students started to talk again, but ended when they saw her terrifying glance everyone decide to calm down, "Thank you. He will teach you a new subject which is absolutely new for you. I think he will tell you everything and also introduce himself to you later. You will have his lesson today, but it will be the last one for today to you. You may be free for now."

As she said it Pavel was about to get up from his place when he noticed a shadow near with him, he turned to the source of it and saw the same tanned girl who was staring at him.

"Um, do you want…" he couldn't finish the question as she grabbed his jacket and with a force made him follow her. With a great luck he was able to take his bag.

She was leading him fast by the school's corridors, Pavel even couldn't remember their way perfectly, so he decide to ask.

"Where're we going?" he asked peacefully.

But Ren didn't answer the question and continued to move further. After several minutes they stopped at the some black corridor. The place was dark but still poorly lit, and at the same time it was solitary, what also made it a perfect place to frank talks or giving a chance to your emotions to free and etc.

"Who are you?" she merely asked him.

"Well I think that I've already introduced myself, I'm Pavel." He decided to play dumb for this time.

"Who the hell are you?!" she shouted at the boy turning to him and at the same time she squeezed the collar of his shirt.

He saw a warning glance in her eyes and a preparedness to hit him. He looked at her face and thought what would be better to say in this situation. 'Try to tell something that will make her believe that you're not suspicious and have no secrets' he remember the words of his captain, and decide to act a bit serious, but still have a note of misunderstanding.

"Do you mean that situation on the roof?"

"And this too! I want to know why did you help me and why did you come to this academy!"

"Well, I couldn't watch how a beautiful lady could suffer during that battle."

"I've already heard that song there! So don't play dumb and tell me!" She squeezed his collar stronger and the boy understood that to play dumb is not a good idea.

"Well if you want to hear the truth I can tell, but first." he made a pause what made his new classmate to look at him with a questioning but still warning look. "Could you let me free?"

The girl released his collar and the boy finally could put it in order.

"Well I think that I should start from the common. First of all I was transferred here by arrangements of our governments. Second I don't know why it was me; our country possesses even stronger hunters than me, by the way." he hastened seeing that she was about to interrupt him again so he continued, "I met you there by absolutely random accident. I decided to watch on night Tokyo, saw I left my companion and met you."

"So you're not alone here?"

"Yes, but you'll meet him soon as the rest." He smiled seeing that her face became less angry.

"So you mean that this new teacher is your companion?" she asked him without annoying tone.

"Who knows." he shrugged and smiled again.

"Why your government decided to start to build relation with us on a sudden?"

"I'm not a politician so I don't know what these chatterboxes have on their mind. Today they say one thing tomorrow they do absolutely different."

"Now listen to me." She came a bit closer to him and pointed her finger in his chest "I don't know what game you're playing here, and what is your real aim, but I promise you that I'm watching you and when you will do something that will cause serious troubles, be sure I won't stand aside!"

When Ikenami finished she was about to leave him alone, when the girl and the boy suddenly fell out of the corner onto the floor. The two looked at their visitors, but Ikenami said.

"What you two are doing here?"

"We were worrying about you. You've rushed from the class with Pavel-san, so that's why we decided to follow you." Aki said to his friend.

"But, to be honest we were worrying about him more, considering how you grabbed him, you could do something really stupid." Maki joined the talk.

"There's absolutely nothing to worry about. By the way after the classes I'm going to show you the school so don't leave or you'll miss somewhere." she finished and left the three of them to stay in awkwardness.

"Sorry for this again Pavel-san, ordinary she doesn't behave herself like this." The boy apologized again for his friend.

"Oh, don't worry it doesn't bother me too much, really." He gave them a warm smile and added "By the way you can call me just Pavel, without 'san', after all we are classmates."

"If you want so then we will call you just Pavel" the girl friendly hit him at this back and said, "By the way I'm Maki Sato, and this boy is Aki Ito, but you can call us Maki and Aki if you want." She gave him a smile.

"I could introduce myself without your help." Aki said a bit annoyed, because of his friend who always liked to tease him.

"Nice to meet you guys." And he shook the hands of his classmates "I hope we will become good friends."

"Same here!" both of them said to him.

Then they decide to return to the classroom as the next lesson was about to start.

"Well I think I must watch for you very attentively Pavel Tarasov, in order to know what you want to get from being here." The blue haired woman with a doctor's robe left the dark corner and said again, "I think I will tell nothing to Asagi-san at this moment, but still I will keep a sharp on you and this new teacher." Murasaki said and went to the same direction which her students did a while ago.
