Chapter 6: It's an uphill battle

The next afternoon, Yuji had prepared a rolling cart for me to deliver the food and beverages to the teachers at U.A. The school was just a few blocks up the street to an area I never venture into. If I had ventured into that area before I ever gave my idea to Yuji, I would have seen that the school sat on a huge hill. Which unfortunately for me, meant I had a literal uphill battle with this cart in platform heels to get to the entrance. Memo to self, go clothes shopping and find good sneakers.

At the base of the hill, I looked up the path trying to come up with an idea of the less painful path. If I push the cart from behind and slip, then I could get runover by it. Death was not an option. I did it already. Wasn't impressed. Didn't plan on having a repeat. If I pull it upwards though from the front…I might be dragged down. I may partially be regretting some decisions I've made in life. Specifically, letting Yuji convince me to be the one to deliver and try to sell the products. Thankfully, Yuji had enough intelligence to put an ice pack in the boxes with desserts in them so they wouldn't turn in the heat while I was working on my challenge of the day.

Oddly enough as I was questioning my life decision, lots of vans were moving past me up to the school. I got behind the cart and started my journey upwards cursing anything and everything for how heavy it was.

55 minutes later

I finally made it to the top of the hill where it flattened out. I decided that I reached my workout quota of the century from this. I took a pause to catch my breath when I heard a lot of noise straight ahead. Leaning against the cart I watched as reporters were infront of a closed gate with two teachers in front asking the reporters to leave.

"Is All Might here?"

"How is he as a teacher?"

"What does this mean to the future of heroism?"

"Does he have a love child in this school?"

I was wiping my face with one of the paper napkins from the cart to remove the sweat from the workout I did and straighten the pink skirt of the dress before pushing the cart closer to the school. Thankfully, Yuji said he got this cart especially for its compartments and technology in it that kept cool food cool and warm food warm. I have to give it to this place, some of the technological advances are amazing. Think Yuji said this was a prototype some genius mad. If it works perfectly, they're about to make some big bucks.

"HELLO! YOU LOVELY PEOPLE!" Yelled one of the teachers. Huh? Present Mic? Wow he is loud. "Thank you for your interest but we got classes to teach! Please email our communication department your inquiries!" He called out holding a mic in hand. Some photographers were snapping pictures at him. Behind Present Mic was a guy with longish dark hair who looked like he was as tired as I felt.

It took a good twenty minutes for the reporters to leave. The teachers stayed there to make sure all properly left before the tired looking guy gestured to me with his chin to Present Mic. Present Mic had a look of confusion on his face.

I just looked at him as if he's the hero I was looking for. Which was exactly what he was. I waved a hand at him and the other teacher.

"Iris? Why are you here?"

I bowed. I had to be business professional. Step 1 of the plan to get U.A. to let us as vendors is to first build a good relationship with some of their employees. Customer service smile activated.

"Hello Present Mic and …" What was this guy's name?

"Eraserhead to you." K just as friendly as I am. We might be long lost siblings.

"Eraserhead! Yuji and I of the Tea Shop down the hill wanted to send our thanks for when Present Mic saved me from that horrible accident awhile ago. I do apologize for being so late to showing my gratitude." I gestured to the cart. "I have brought some beverages and food for the teaching staff to show my gratitude. May I bring it in?"

Present Mic smiled awkwardly. "Um thanks! Didn't have to. Lemme ask one sec." He walked away and spoke into some sort of radio.

Eraserhead just walked back into the school leaving us behind. I just kept on smiling because customer service 101 fake the smile till you make the sale. It appears whoever Present Mic was talking to granted authorization.

As I was preparing to push the cart, Present Mic came and pushed it for me while telling me to follow behind him.

So this is U.A. I thought walking through the gate and looking at huge building infront of me.

"WATCH OUT!" someone called out to the right of me. I turned to see who the person was talking too when suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my face and the world faded into darkness.
