Third Person POV

Erebus looked at Elrond one more time before disappearing into the shadows. Reyna turned to Elrond.

"Get training", she said. "Find out what powers you have." Elrond nodded. Reyna turned and ran to the Senate house to inform them of this meeting.

Reyna reached the top and rang the bell. 30 minutes later, the members of the Senate were seated before Reyna.

"What's the issue here Reyna? Is it a threat in New Rome?" asked Parachyes, the head senator.

"It's the new kid. He's a son of Erebus." Reyna replied.

The senators began conversing among themselves. "So Erebus claimed-" There was a sudden flash and a guy with flying sandals and a roman tunic appeared before them. The senator all dropped down to a bow. Reyna bowed as well.

"Lord Mercury", she said.

"The Hunters of Diana are approaching. You must bring a girl called Crystal with the kid Elrond on a quest for the sword of Aeister. They can take 2 companions. Annabeth of the Greek Camp says it's somewhere in Colorado. Be safe, farewell." Mercury disappeared in a bright flash.

Parachyes nodded. "Praetor Reyna, prepare for the quest immediately!

(Present time, while Reyna is off telling Elrond)

Eythira's POV

We were nearing Canada. I shivered at that thought. It was where I used to live, where dangerous events happened and I lost my mother. We came to a stop at the edge of Lake Ontario.

"Alrights guys, me and Ethan will make air bubbles so we can get over the border. Etha you make an air bubble by surrounding them with water", explained Percy. With that, he grabbed Annabeth's hands and jumped in the water with her, leaving me with Ethan. He ran and jumped in the water and then turned to me. "Are you going to come?" he asked.

I didn't want to travel with him so close to me, but only he could take me across the lake. Some ask why I didn't join the hunters, but I don;t hate them. They're just so immature.

"I'll dry you up, besides you won't be wet in an air bubble."

I sighed and jumped into the water with him. He formed a rather large bubble which I was grateful for. I dried up magically as I looked out the bubble. I saw fish swimming past us and big striped bass bumping our bubble. I smiled as one looked at me curiously. (Don't know how I could tell). I reached out and touched it, and it alarmly swam away.

"You know, I've never tried this before. Being able to see huge fish underwater is so cool", Ethan said to me.

"Agreed." I noticed a slightly transparent thing that was shaped like a spirit swim towards us.

"What is that", I asked Ethan.

"I don't know", he said, squinting at the woman. The woman opened her mouth and shot a water current at the bubble popping a hole in it. Water started flowing in.

"She's attacking us! There's more of them!" Ethan pushed the water out and refilled the hole. The bubble started going faster.

"It's probably Hydros. This is freshwater, he's more powerful here." More spirits had shot water at us and multiple holes began opening.

"Do something!" I yelled.

"I can't, he's more powerful than me." I noticed that he was straining against something. I realized that he was struggling against Hydros himself. The bubble was growing smaller and I moved to stay in the bubble. He was now next to me.

"Hold your breath.", he bubble suddenly burst and I opened my mouth only to catch a bunch of water. I spit it out and tried to swim, but found out I couldn;t. The current was pushing against me. I felt a hand close around mine and pulled me slowly out of the water. We bursted out on the surface and I spit out more water as Ethan slapped my back.

"You ok?", he asked, eyes filled with concern.

"I'm fine, stop the smacking, it hurts. Let's go", I answered. He smiled and I scowled at him.

Percy was waiting for us at the top of the hill. He grinned and said,

"What took you guys so long? Spending some time together?"

I turned a bit redder and punched him.

"What were we doing down there!? You idiot didn't realize that the lake was freshwater and told me and Ethan to get inside! We were getting attacked and I almost drowned!" "Here you are still making jokes!" I yelled.

Annabeth signed. "Yeah he's such a seaweed brain sometimes. He's not that bright you know".

"Hey! You didn't think of that either." I couldn't think that this guy survived two wars, but Nico said only Percy could make a joke at this time. I felt myself dry up. I was so caught up in yelling that I didn;t notice I was wet and shivering. I nodded appreciatively at Ethan.

Percy kissed Annabeth and I said, "I'm going to see what's around here. You guys do your stuff whatever." I left the hill and walked down the street to see what I could buy for lunch. I looked at Papa John's, but that place had nothing I liked, so I left, heading for the supermarket. I had the suspicion I was being followed, but I shook it off and brought some pomegranate fruit. Those seeds tasted awesome.

I headed down the alley and then demonic figures crawled out of the alley. I turned around and saw that I was cornered. I took out my long knives and surrounded them with shadows and struck the nearest demon and kicked it. I whirled and slashed and kicked, but there were too many. A claw came down on my face and I braced myself for the impact.

The was a sharp Clang! and the demon cried out in pain.

"What are you doing here?!"

"I was just walking down the street and saw you."

"You were stalking me!" I yelled at him. Why was he following me? This guy is crazy.

"I wasn;t Percy was having romance with Annabeth and I went out to Papa John and sensed something unnatural stepping on water. I looked around and saw you." he replied. By now, the demons were overwhelming us and I was starting to grow tired. Ethan took out 3 bottles of water and opened them, spraying them out. He froze the water and stopped the demons in front of us. Etha grabbed me around the waist and I blushed a little and he put me down on the top of the building.

"I don't need you to carry me!"

"I happen to know you can;t fly so let's go before they catch up". We ran and jumped off the building and ran to Percy where he summoned a wave and pushed them back. Percy broke a car window, opened the car, and threw a bag of cash at the guy who was screaming at us about his car. He poured water in the key lock, froze it and started the car.

"Head to the west, I said."

Crystal's POV

As we approached the Roman Camp, I felt uneasy. There was something dark in that place. Lady Artemis informed me that the son of Erebus was in the camp and I understood why I felt that way. However, I was going on a quest with him. That made me uneasy. He was literally the opposite of my parents, and radiated darkness instead of light.

Praetor Reyna greeted us at the entrance. "Lady Diana", she bowed in respect. Lady Artemis had told me all about the Greek Roman stuff, and I honestly like Artemis more. She was way nicer. Lady Diana smiled and said,

"My hunter will camp in the Field of Mars. Crystal will accompany the male", she wrinkled her nose in disgust, "on the quest. Reyna nodded.

Before I left, Zoe said, "tell us if the male is being mean. We'll take care of him for you." I smiled and waved goodbye to my sisters. Even though I couldn;t join the hunt, I still considered them my sisters. They had accepted me when I had no home and saved me. I followed Reyna to another entrance where the son of Erebus, Elrond was waiting for me with the 2 roman legionnaires, Frank and Hazel. They were senior legionnaires that survived the second giant war.

"Let's go then," Hazel said as she smiled at me. Elrond stayed far aways from me. We went down the road to Colorado.
