I sat there, with my arms wrapped around my legs, lost in thought wondering what I could possibly do in this situation.

After a few hours of contemplating what I could do, a plan finally formulated…

I knew what I had to do now. But how in the world was I going to do it if all of them were acting like my bodyguards?

Think, Bella, think.

How do I leave this place without them noticing?

I knew from the looks of it my shoes were next to the chair that was near the door, as were my keys… so, how do I—Aha!!! Got it!

As quietly as possible, I climbed off the bed, making my way towards my shoes, before snatching my keys off the bedside table.

I knew I only had a few moments before one of them came into the room to check on them. So, as quickly as possible, slipped my shoes on, and climbed out of one of the windows in the room, careful not to mess up the line of salt on there.

I noticed how dark it was as I silently walked around the house, towards the front.

Rushing forward towards my car, silently praying that they didn't notice my absence until morning, hopefully, I'd be states away from here.

13 Hours Later:

This was a bad idea.

I knew this, but it didn't stop me from leaving Bobby's place. I also knew that I had to get rid of any traces of Bella Swan from my person if I wanted to live a happy life.

Even having any type of semblance of peace, changing my appearance was only the beginning.

So, I stopped at the first salon I could find after I entered Nebraska, and chopped off my long hair into shoulder blade length, before proceeding to dye it a warm honey gold blonde. The color seemed to lighten my eyes, turning them the shade that my mother used to have.

It took the better part of the day to do so, so it was late afternoon when I finally left the small salon, I only stopped to top off on gas and grab a small snack.

I wanted to get as close to Florida as possible, yet I knew I would have to find a safe place to stay, even for a few hours, there however seemed to be nothing on the road I was currently driving in.

Finally, I arrived at a place called Harvelle's Roadhouse.

The place seemed to be practically empty, with only a few cars parked here and there. Even so, I slowly pulled my crossbody bag towards me, before dropping my dad's gun into it along with the keys.

I slowly got out of the car before locking it and heading inside.

A few people littered the place, some eating, others drinking, a few on the phone, and a few others just sitting there.

I choose to ignore the curious glances I receive as soon as I step through the door. Walking up to the bar, and looking at the woman that stood behind it, taking orders every now and then.

She seemed familiar.

But from where? I felt too familiar with her as if I knew her from somewhere yet not personal to her exactly.

"What can I get ya?" She asked, not looking towards me as she turned to dry a few glasses.

"Surprise me," I replied with a shrug.

She nodded as she picked up a glass, and turned to fill it with God knows what.

I gasped as she turned to look at me, dropping the glass in surprise, shattering at her feet as she stared at me in astonishment.

"Bella?" She asks, stepping over the shattered glass, and walks closer to inspect me.

"Do I know you?" I asked, politely.

A smile pulled at her lips as she stared at me, in happy disbelief. "No, you probably don't remember me. I'm Ellen Harvelle." She introduces, holding her hand out toward me.

"Marie Higginbotham. Pleased to meet you." I replied, shaking her hand.

She nods in understanding before looking around. "You look just like your momma, well with your daddy's eyes. What brings you here?" She asks, pulling out a new cup before serving me a soft drink.

"They're gone. I needed to get away from everything. I'm heading to Florida." I replied.

"My condolences. Your parents were wonderful people. Would you like to eat something while you're here?" She asked, pointing to the menu under my elbow.

"Just a burger and fries are fine. Can you recommend a place for lodging near here?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.

"I have a room here. Thirty a night." She says, as her eyes fell on something behind me.

The smile disappeared from her face for a second, before she replaced it, turning towards me. "Let me get that order in and I'll be right back." She said before she disappeared into the back.

I nodded, giving her a smile before turning to look back.

I sighed, rolling my eyes as my eyes fell on who Ellen was looking at.

Of course, they would follow me… but how did they find me so quick?
