It was a new day for Ben and he was on his way to class, after what happened last night, Ben would be keeping his guard up. He'd never dealt with enemies like that before and wondered if more would be coming after him. They called themselves fallen angels and they believed that the omnitrix was something called a sacred gear. Besides all of that, there was the matter with the Gremory's.
The Fallen Angels had mentioned someone by the name of Gremory and how Ben had joined their side. Ben wasn't sure what they had meant by that, but he did know someone with the name Gremory. It was Kiba's club president, Rias Gremory, Ben wasn't sure if they were both related and Gwendolyn wasn't sure as well.
Speaking of Gwendolyn, Ben remembered the conversation that he had with her last night. He had told her everything that had happened with him that night and she had the information to help him.
Flashback
Ben's Apartment
" Alright Ben, go into full detail of what happened" Gwendolyn said over the phone
"Well at first I thought they were just some random weirdos following me but then they sprouted black wings and took to the sky, they called themselves fallen angels and they wanted me dead because they believed I was in an alliance with some Gremory person" Ben explained
"So, do you have anything useful Gwendolyn?" Ben asked
" I just went through some books and turns out you might be in more trouble then you believe" Gwendolyn answered
"What do you mean by that?" Ben asked concerned
" Well, turns out those fallen angels are bad news, where there is one there is bound to be more, they are magical beings who's goal is to kill devils and those who side with them so they can get back into God's good graces" Gwendolyn answered
"I don't get it, why attack me? I haven't talked to any devils and last time I checked, I haven't sided with any devil" Ben said confused
" That's the thing Ben, you may of talked to a devil without knowing and those fallen angels thought you had joined their side" Gwendolyn tried to explain to Ben
Ben let out an irritated and confused sigh
" Did the fallen angels mention anything else to you before they attacked?" Gwendolyn asked
"Yeah they did, they called the omnitrix a sacred gear, whatever that is" Ben answered
Gwendolyn grew silent once more
"Come on Cous, do you have anything good for me?" Ben asked
" I do" Gwendolyn answered
"Well, lay it on me" Ben said
" Sacred gears are artifacts created by God himself and bestowed to humans to fight devils and other supernatural forces that threaten their lives" Gwendolyn explained
"Do you have anything else on these sacred gear things?" Ben asked
" Not much but what I do have is that sacred gears were created from the souls of dragons and parts from other mythical and powerful creatures, also there are multiple types of sacred gears and each has their own unique abilities and powers" Gwendolyn answered
"So, why do you think they mistook the omnitrix for a sacred gear?" Ben asked
" From the look of things, sacred gears give off a unique aura in humans, these fallen angels must of confused the energy coming from the omnitrix as an aura from a sacred gear" Gwendolyn answered
"Oooor, turns out I could have an unawaken sacred gear inside of me the whole time" Ben said excitedly
" I highly doubt that doofus, most humans find out they have a sacred gear at a young age and if you did, devils, angels and fallen angels would have been coming after you before you got the omnitrix" Gwendolyn explained
"Way to be a buzzkill dweeb, really shot down my dreams there" Ben said
" Don't be like that, it's a good thing you don't have a sacred gear, my books say those who have sacred gears don't exactly live long lives" Gwendolyn replied
Ben gulped a bit hearing his cousin say that
"Even if I don't have one, they'll still be coming after me because they think the omnitrix is a sacred gear" Ben said
" If it is that bad there, I can call grandpa and explain the situation to him" Gwendolyn suggested
"No, don't do that, I don't want grandpa or my parents to worry even more about me then they already are" Ben said
" Okay, if that's the way you want it, I won't tell him but be careful and inform me if anything else happens" Gwendolyn said
"Before you go Gwendolyn, what can you tell me about the name Gremory?" Ben asked
" What do you want to know about it?" Gwendolyn asked
"I just want to know where the name comes from and if I should worry about it" Ben answered
" Give me a minute" Gwendolyn said putting the phone down
Ben waited for Gwendolyn to find any information about the name Gremory
" Ben you there?" Gwendolyn asked
"Yeah I'm here cous" Ben answered
" I've got that information on the name Gremory you asked for" Gwendolyn said
"Great, what can you tell me about it?" Ben asked curiously
" From the looks of it, the name Gremory references a noble devil family in the underworld, they are one of the few remaining pure blooded devils left" Gwendolyn answered
"Wait, I go to school with a girl who's last name is Gremory, heck my friend is in her club" Ben said surprised
" What is that girl's name Ben?" Gwendolyn asked
"Her name is Rias and she's a third year" Ben answered
" I'm going to do some more research on this Rias person, it may just be a coincidence that she has that last name but for safety, I'd advise staying away from her until I'm certain" Gwendolyn said
"I read you loud and clear cous, I'll be keeping my distance from her" Ben replied
" Good, now I suggest that you get some sleep, we'll talk later, bye" Gwendolyn said
"Yeah, talk to you later" Ben replied hanging up the phone
As Ben laid back in his bed, he looked up at the ceiling. He still couldn't believe that his supposed normal school year just ran into a wall.
"Now what am I going to do?" Ben asks himself
Flashback Over
Kuoh Academy
Ben was sitting in his desk as the teacher continued on with today's lesson. While that was going on Ben was still thinking about his conversation that he had with his cousin last night. He couldn't help but worry that he would also now have to be dealing with devils along with those fallen angels. If that wasn't enough, Ben had the fear that his first friend here Kiba could be in danger.
Ben didn't want his friend to get hurt or be put in any kind of danger. Hopefully once Gwendolyn would call Ben back with the information about the Rias, she would be cleared from being a devil. Ben always hoped for a good outcome in any situation but it would be hard for Ben to explain to Kiba that his club president was a supernatural being who collected the souls of humans.
"Alright class, that will be all for today, remember we have a test coming up in two days so be sure to study the material thoroughly, that means you Mr. Hyoudou" the teacher said looking over at Issei as the bell rang
"Come on man, what did I do?" Issei asked confused
"You know what he means perv" a girl answered grabbing her bag
"Hey Issei, Asia, lady Rias wishes to see us" Kiba said poking his head in through the door
All of the girls in the class swooned over seeing Kiba's face, Ben couldn't help but chuckle to himself seeing their reaction
"Oh yeah, hey Ben, Rias would also like to meet with you again" Kiba said looking over at Ben
"She wants to meet with me again?" Ben asked confused
"Yeah, she said something about trying to convince you to join us" Kiba answered
"Alright then, just let me get my stuff and I'll follow you over" Ben said with a smile
" Great, Gwendolyn told me to stay away from her and now I'm going to have to meet with her so things don't look weird or suspicious" Ben thinks to himself
Time Skip
Occult Research Clubroom
Once Ben had gathered his things, Kiba led Ben to the old school building where the occult research club was. Ben was nervous walking to there and Kiba had noticed this. He had asked Ben if he was alright to which Ben answered that he was doing just fine. Eventually the two stopped in front of a familiar door. Kiba knocked before opening the door and motioned for Ben to come in.
Just like before, there was a room with bookcases along the walls, chairs and table and two couches in the middle of the room. Sitting on one of the couches was Rias, she was sitting there and drinking her tea.
"I have brought Ben just as you requested lady Rias" Kiba said with a bow
"Good good, you may leave us now Kiba" Rias said motioning for Kiba to leave the room
Kiba bowed once more before leaving the room as Rias had instructed. Now it was just Ben and Rias in the room and Ben was feeling a bit nervous.
"It is alright Benjamin, no need to be nervous" Rias said to Ben
Ben was confused, how did she know that he was nervous
"It's not that I'm nervous or anything, it's just that I didn't expect to be back here so soon" Ben said
"Well then, if that is the case then I suggest you come over here and sit down, there is much that I would like to talk to you about" Rias said calmly
Ben gulped as he slowly walked over to the couch and sat down across from Rias. Ben may of not known her for long but she did give off an intimidating aura of sorts.
"So, what is it that you wanted to talk to me about? If it is about joining your club again, my stance is still the same as last time" Ben said
"Oh don't worry about that, like I said before, I won't force you into doing something you don't want to do, besides I like a man who stands by his convictions" Rias replied
"So, if not that then why did you want to have this talk with me?" Ben asked Rias
"I know you said the occult and supernatural was more of your cousin's thing but I wanted to know how much you know about it" Rias answered
"If that's all then I don't mind answering, from what my cousin has told me, there's supposedly this thing called mana which is basically life energy then there's the thing with these charm things, I believe she called them the charms of Bezel and of course the fountain of youth and this place called Ledgerdomain" Ben said lying to Rias
"Interesting, it seems like your cousin is a savant when it comes to the occult and supernatural" Rias said
"Yeah, she goes to Fredkin University and studies those kinds of things" Ben replied
"Good for her, now if I may ask, did your cousin happen to tell you anything about angels, devils and maybe fallen angels?" Rias asked Ben curiously
"Not much, but wait aren't fallen angels demons and isn't there only one devil?" Ben asked switching the pace of the conversation to his favor
"It's a bit more complicated then that, people believe that there is a difference between fallen angels and demons along with devils" Rias answered
"Care to explain?" Ben asked
"Well for starters, demons are believed to be lowly creatures who serve devils and other stronger beings, when it comes to devils, it is believed that there are multiple houses or clans and each clan selects one to become the king of hell and lastly, with the case of fallen angels, they are said to be angels who have committed one or multiple sins, this is shown by their white wings becoming black" Rias answered
"Hmm interesting, thank you for all that, I guess I have something to talk to my cousin about later" Ben said standing up
"Again Rias, it was a pleasure talking to you but I need to get going" Ben said to Rias before walking over towards the door
Before Ben could reach the door, Kiba, Akeno, Asia, Issei and this short girl with white hair entered the room and stopped him
"I do not think you understand the trouble that you are in Ben" Rias said standing up from the couch
"I think I understand just fine" Ben said stepping back
"But you don't Ben, we know what happened to you last night and we know what you posses" Rias replied
"What, my dinner got messed up and I posses a great skill at video games?" Ben asked
"Don't play dumb Ben, we know of your sacred gear, let us help you" Akeno said
"Those fallen angels will only come after you more and more unless you have help" Rias said
"Come on Ben, let us help you" Kiba said
"Look, you guys are starting to weird me out and I think it is best if I get going before you harvest my organs or something" Ben said
"We can't let you do that Ben, you need us and we need you, don't make this anymore difficult then it has to be" Rias said
"Like I said before, I don't need your help and I don't know what you are talking about" Ben replied
"But you do" Akeno said
"I am Rias Gremory from the Gremory household, I am a pure blooded devil and this is my peerage Ben Tennyson, join us and let us keep you safe" Rias said
Suddenly, Rias and the other members of the occult research club grew devilish wings and looked down onto Ben. Ben was frozen stiff, he didn't know what to do, he couldn't say anything at all.
"We're here to help you Ben" Kiba said
"Sure you are, sorry but my soul belongs to me and only me" Ben said lifting up the oomnitrix
Ben didn't even look as the faceplate slid back and the core of the omnitrix popped up. All he did was slam it down and was engulfed in a flash of green light. Rias and the others backed away slowly as Ben began to transform. The omnitrix rewrote Ben's DNA and transform him into the selected alien. Once the light faded away, standing in the room was a tall cloaked moth like creature. It had large green eyes with a large mouth.
When it unfolded it's cloak Rias and the others could see four large wings and long arms with three fingers along with feet that had three toes. The feature that stuck out to the others was the badge with the hourglass symbol on it that was located on the waist of the creature.

" Big Chill" the creature said in an eerie voice as frost came out of its mouth
"Ben don't do this, just listen to us" Rias said
" Sorry, but like I said before, my soul is mine and I don't feel like joining the club" Ben said before he phased through the floor of the clubroom
"Now what?" The girl with the white hair asked
"Koneko, you and the others go after him and stop him" Rias answered
"Great, can't wait to pound some sense into that pretty face of his" Issei said with a grin
"Don't hurt him, try to talk some sense into him" Rias said
"Don't worry lady Rias we'll do what we can" Kiba said
"Good, I have faith in you" Rias replied
"If he puts up a fight, Ddraig and I are gonna open up a can of whoop ass all over his face" Issei said
"Let us hope it doesn't get to that point" Rias said looking out the window
A/N: Alright readers, looks like Ben might just be throwing down with the occult research club. Sorry that it took so long for me to finally start updating. Some things were going on in my life that needed my full attention. I'm not going to go into full detail but let's just say I lost a loved one and with COVID going on my schedule hasn't been exactly the same. Before any of you comment, Rias isn't trying to kill Ben straight off the bat. She is actually thinking she is helping Ben by having him join her and the others. Ben is just kind of misunderstanding the situation as is Rias not going through it the right way. Also Ben isn't afraid of devils and fallen angels, he's just being cautious as he has never fought an enemy like them before, so he doesn't know what they are capable of. With that out of the way, I am going to be answering some questions and responding to comments from the last chapter.
Tempest923, when it comes to fantasy settings, moonlight is considered a strong force or source of power. If the sun had been out during the fight Ben would have absorbed sunlight instead. UltimatePower16, Ben isn't known in Japan for an unknown reason that will be explained further down the line, you'll just have to wait and see. As for Ascalon, I'm thinking about that one, I haven't decided on if he should use it again or not. No, I don't think other dimensions will make an appearance but they will be referenced like just how Ledgerdomain was. For your final question, no I don't think Eon will show up and have some time battles with Paradox.
Maximum Rhapsody, I was thinking about that and I might add elements from the light novel into the story if that is what you and other readers want to see. For your second question, I'm not going to be adding any other characters from other anime into this story. However I might do a Ben 10 crossover with those stories further down the line. KormalKettle, I don't know if they'll make an appearance just yet but they will be referenced in a few chapters.
Now that the questions are answered, I am going to be responding to some comments from the last chapter. affiction, I am glad to see that you are excited for this chapter and the next one also thank you for the support. Guest, guess what, Ben is powerful in any universe you throw him in regardless of what you do with him. Don't worry I might do a Marvel and DC story with him eventually. Also Tempest923 is right, I am trying to keep Ben as accurate to the show and lore as I can, so step off just a bit and let me work. PoyisAltaire, that is my plan, have some light lemons but keep my focus on the story.
KormalKettle, Like I said to PoyisAltaire, my main focus is on the story while having some light lemons added in. Bromega2477, I wasn't expecting the voting to go like that, most people want Xenovia and Akeno but I guess they wanted to see Rossweisse and Akeno. RQ Quest, thank you for all of that but I kind of wish you didn't comment the same thing on all my stories instead of just PMing the whole thing like most people do when they have an idea.
