Chapter 7: Meeting Melody Experience

Back at the cabin, the still tied up Grant was tossed into the barn as Terran and Ambrea closed the doors.

Once they closed and locked it up, Riley gave Logan a glare as he asked his little brother. "Are you crazy?!"

"Look, I know, Riley. But we gotta find out what happened to the guy. Maybe it had something to do with this lamb creature." Logan tried to reason with his older brother as he holds the canister in his hands with the containing lamb.

"Well, how are we going to keep that man inside the barn all day?! I mean if Grammy ever finds out, she's gonna kill us!" Riley replied back to Logan.

"Don't forget about the possibility with Mom and Johnny." Logan said wearly too.

"Thank you." Riley said with an annoyed sigh.

Logan then got things on track. "Look, it doesn't matter right now. We got what we saw at the river, which means we need to find out about what's going on around here. Maybe this has something to do with what that doctor guy was talking about."

Riley groans before he says. "Okay. But I still think keeping him inside the barn is a bad idea."

Terran came over to them with his sister and said. "Alright. We got him locked and secured in the barn, but I don't know how much of it he can take."

The banging on the doors from the inside of the barn made sense.

While they were discussing what to do at the moment, they had no idea that they were being watched by Melody who was hiding behind a tree. She watched them as she witnessed what happened to her partner and overheard what they were talking about. Then she ran off without being spotted.

"Alright, let's head back into the cabin and see what this stuff is exactly." Logan said as he along with his family members followed him back into the cabin.

(Scene changes)

Meanwhile inside the cabin, Logan was looking through the slimy stuff from the canister the mutant lamb was in through a microscope he brought with him while sitting down on a chair next to the table. He even had the papers he found as well and gave them to Ambria for her to look at. Ambrea was looking through the notes Logan found in the van he found with the supplies.

As he was looking at it very carefully, Riley approached his brother and asked. "Well, what is it, buddy?"

"I don't know, but it looks like some kind of ooze of some sort." Logan answered as he turned to his brother.

"We don't even know how we're gonna find out anything about that thing. We can't even get one close up to where this T.G.R.I. plant is. And we don't even know who this Angus Oldfield person is. He sounds like a dirty rotten dude to me." Terran said as he came to his cousins.

"Look, we know that this Angus Oldfield sounds bad, but we don't even know where he is at the moment." Ambrea said to her brother.

Terran glared at her before saying. "Well, there's no point in finding out quicker! We should just go out and find out about it!" He finished exclaiming before slamming on the table, which also almost resulted in the canister to drop.

But Logan noticed it as he yelped in horror, before he grabbed it quickly before saying. "For real you guys?!"

Terran and Ambrea looked at him before saying apologetically together. "My bad/ Sorry, Logan."

Logan just sighed before placing the canister back on the table as he said. "Well, I don't know what else to say. I have no idea what kind of ooze this stuff is in the lamb. The point is, we've at least gathered some information from most of the people about this crime stuff. But they didn't tell us anything about this kind of creature."

Ambrea came over to them as she said. "Well, even if there are more points on what we're looking for, what kind of person, like Angus Oldfield, would harm innocent people and animals?"

"I don't know." Logan said as he eyes the canister containing the lamb.

(scene changes)

In the barn, Grant wasn't doing so well as he began banging on the walls violently acting like a wild animal.

Suddenly somehow his eyes turned into sheep pupils, then he screamed in pain as his whole body began to mutate as his shadow was displayed on the wall as well as ripping the ropes off him.

(scene changes)

Back in the cabin, the boys and Ambrea were still discussing what else to do.

"I say we go find out who this Angus Oldfield guy is and send him to jail!" Terran said.

"Well we don't know where he is, though." Logan said to his cousin. "Even if we could do that, the police won't even know what we're dealing with."

Ambrea said, agreeing with Logan. "He's right, guys. We'll just have to wait and see what to do now."

Then all of a sudden, a loud crash was heard outside in the barn. This caused the four to look outside to see one of the window's crashed.

"What was that?!" Riley exclaimed in surprise.

"I don't know, but we better check it out." Logan said before he along with his family went outside to see what had happened.

They opened the doors to the barn and saw everything in a very deep mess.

"Hey, what the heck happened here?" Ambrea asked in surprise as shattered glass dropped to the ground.

Logan and Riley looked around as Logan said. "It looks like our 'guest' must've been wrecked up and trashed the barn."

"Well, I don't see him." Riley said with disdain in his voice.

While looking around, they failed to notice a large shadow move away from the wall. As Terran looked around, some growling was heard and it caught his attention behind Logan, Riley, and Ambrea.

"Hey, Logan. How big do you think the monsters in your movies might be?" He asked his cousin.

"Well, a human is composed of the same chemical of toxic waste to be either transformed into a monster of some kind, which would be at least man sized in 30 feet long to be precise." Logan translated.

Terran then shouted. "THEN WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!"

This caused Logan, Riley, and Ambrea to turn to see a three hoofed hand appear on the wood handle before it emerged to be Grant, now a mutant sheep monster.

His clothes were ripped as he was still wearing them as well as his pants, he grew long ears, a long snout, hooves on his feet as well as his hands were now three hooved claws.

He then lets out a sheep roar before charging at them, but they dodge out of the way.

"SWEET MOTHER OF MERCY! WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO HIM?!" Logan exclaimed at the mutant sheep Grant as he growled at them.

"I don't know, but it looks like he is mad!" Riley said, horrified by what happened to Grant.

"Let's get out of here!" Terran said as they ran out of the barn before closing the doors.

As they were breathing heavily, Grant's left hoofed hand smashed through the wood, making Logan, Riley, Terran, and Ambrea scream in fright as Grant grabbed Logan by the throat.

"Man, why is he in a bad mood?!" Terran asked in shock.

"He's not in a bad mood, Terran! He's a sheep monster!" Logan grunted before he escaped from his grasp as he fell to the ground on his stomach.

He got up as Grant, by full force, opened the doors as he howled at the full moon.

As he got closer to the four, a tranquilizer dart was shot out of nowhere and it hit Grant on the chest.

The mutant Grant looked down before falling down unconscious.

Logan, Riley, Terran, and Ambrea looked in surprise before they heard footsteps coming from behind them.

They looked back to see Melody with a tranquilizer gun in her hands as she walked over to them and stopped beside Grant as she nudged him a bit with her right foot. She then looks at the four.

"Are you alright?" Melody asked worriedly.

"We're fine. Thanks for the assistance." Ambria said with a smile.

"My name's Melody Experience. I'm an activist on stopping criminal scientists from harming nature." She explained.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Logan, this is my brother, Riley. And these are our cousins, Terran and Ambrea Momaney." Logan introduced himself and his family members.

Then they looked at the still sleeping Grant sheep monster snoring. Soon they chained him up and placed him back in the barn, but not before they chained up the doors to prevent him from escaping.

(scene changes)

They were soon by the firepit right beside the cabin as they were sitting down.

"So you were with Grant at the lake going after those people who work for this 'Angus Oldfield' person?" Terran asked Melody.

Melody nodded as she said. "Yes. Angus Oldfield is now taking control of T.G.R.I. now and has captured most of the people in the state of Maine."

Logan looked more confused by this as he looks down in thought before asking her. "Well, do you think you can tell us where they are? I want to see this for myself."

This caused his family members to look at him in surprise as Riley said to his younger brother. "Hold on a minute here, buddy. We don't know anything about this lady. I mean, we let her inside our cabin and now you expect us to help her out?!"

Logan looked at his brother and said. "We don't have another option, Riley. This is the only way. We leave now and get everything ready."

As soon as he said that, they all went out into the cabin and prepared to leave for their mission.

Unknown to them, hiding in the bushes five figures were seen watching them from the shadows of the trees before they disappeared.
