The van drove on with silence as it moved down the highway heading away from the city of New York, all with different thoughts and hopes as the quest to save Artemis began.

Drake was worried about his mother, all his thoughts were on saving her and this mysterious figure who has beef with the bloodline of Sparda. He sat on the couch with Silena on his left, Thalia on his right.

Zoe was in the passenger seat next to Nico, lost in her own thoughts. Dante was in the seat next to the fridge, and Nero and Grover were at the seat near the table. Grover was cleaning his reed pipes, preparing them for later since his tracking magic would be great help in discovering the way to Artemis's prison.

'Should've brought Luna and Akela to help, but Dad says Trish and Lady are watching over them at Devil May Cry.' Dante thought with a mental sigh as he rubbed his forehead.

"Man, I'm hungry." Nero said as he got up and opened the fridge, taking some food out and giving the others some food and drink before sitting back down and putting his feet up.

"So what do we do first?" Silena asked. "What is the first move?"

Drake and Zoe shared a look. Zoe was given the quest, she was technically leader, but she shared the leadership role with Drake because Artemis was his mother.

"Well first we need to figure out where my mom is. We know she is out west but where west exactly. We need to somehow get a more specific location."

"How do we go about doing that though?"

Drake thought on it for a moment before answering.

"We are heading away from New York and from my experience there are monsters around almost every corner. Whether it is Hellhounds, Cyclops, Telekhines, whichever, normally the monsters find us, maybe we should reverse the roles a little." He said as everyone looked at him funny.

Dante grinned however. "Kids, we HUNT the demons for a living. They don't come to us unless we're calling them out in our own way."

"Kronos's army is gathering and monsters from all over the American continent is gathering and a lot of them were heading to New York right since it's where Olympus is." Drake said. They all nodded.

"Correct, the Hunters have had skirmishes almost nonstop for the last few months." Zoe explained.

"Right which means all monsters around here must be aware by now that the goddess that hunts them has been captured and has been rendered useless. So if we capture one alive and poke it around for information." Drake said.

"Then we might be able to find out the location of Artemis as well as get a better sense of a location to where she is," Thalia added as realization dawned on them.

"That's makes sense." Grover said while Zoe looked at Drake, impressed.

"And since we have a hunter with us who probably knows a thing or two about how to torture monsters and people." He said looking at Zoe who nodded back at him.

"Find me a monster to interrogate and I will get the answers that we need." She said as everyone nodded.

"let's hope we don't run into a demon, or an army of them." Nero said with a huff. "Since this Luke guy is apparently working with them from what we saw last year. Demons have started coming more and more."

Dante nodded. "They'd never resist a chance to destroy the world and rule it like this. Clearly Kronos and his army of ass kissers got them on his side."

"Let's stop off at a shop and get some refreshments. The fridge is nearly out." Nero said and Nico nodded before looking at the gas.

"Shit, tank needs pumped anyway." She said then pulled up into a nearby gas station.

As everyone got out, Drake noticed there was a coffee shop at the gas station, so that was okay for them to get something in their stomachs instead of scouring for a shop.

They were currently a couple of hours out of New York and were somewhere around Maryland from what they gathered from the signs that none of them had decided to follow.

Drake took down everyone's orders before he went into the store with Silena beside him, leaving Thalia and Grover with Zoe. Dante and Nero were back on the van, waiting with Nico.

Grover was stuck standing in the middle between the two powerful females and prayed to whoever was listening that the two did not start something since he would not be able to stop them from fighting.

They stood there quietly for a moment and watched Drake and Silena get their food and drinks from the windows and Grover shuffled a little, the silence being a little uncomfortable.

Thalia looked at Zoe from the corner of her eyes while Zoe did the same. When their eyes met, they turned away and looked in the opposite direction.

After a moment, Thalia groaned before she looked back towards Zoe.

"Alright look Nightshade." She said getting Zoe's attention. "I don't like you and you don't like me. But I think for this quest we are going to have to work together if we want to save Artemis since this quest is going to be no cake walk."

Zoe looked at her intently trying to see if Thalia had some ulterior motive but she could not sense her lying.

"And what exactly did you have in mind?" She asked leaning forward.

"We work together and we put our differences aside for once. This quest is important to not only you but is very important to Drake since this is his mother we are dealing with. He's just got her back into his life, he's not loosing her again.

"You talk as if you know him well." Zoe said, eyeing Thalia.

"I l..." Thalia paused from revealing a secret she wanted kept to herself for now, like hell she was blabbing it to Zoe, before taking a deep breath and continued."I might not know him as well as Silena or Annabeth, Percy or Grover do but in a short time he became my friend. He is willing to risk his life to protect me and the others, what kind of a friend would I be if I did not return that? And us arguing is not going to help."

Zoe stared Thalia down, having noticed that near slip. The Huntress sighed, and glanced at Drake in the coffee shop. She hoped the attraction he was getting from Thalia...and herself, wasn't because of Aphrodite, or Silena. If it was the latter, and she was truly messing with Drake's heart...Zoe will make her suffering last 500 years before she kills her.

Thalia extended her hand in all seriousness while Grover looked between the two wondering if Zoe would accept. Zoe took a moment to think on it before she nodded and shook Thalia's hand, agreeing to their truce for the sake of the quest.

"Very well. I will agree as long as thee keeps her end of the truce." She said as Thalia nodded.

"Then we are in an agreement." She said as Grover exhaled deeply before smiling. With Zoe and Thalia now on agreeable terms then the quest got a little bit simpler.

Dante watched from inside the van and chuckled. "That boy of mine...he has my looks, no wonder he gets attention from the ladies." Nero scoffed and rolled his eyes in amusement before the two Demon Hunters saw something that made their amusement drop like a rock falling into the ocean.

Two guys were approaching the girls, both with sly smiles on their face's which immediately made Zoe narrow her eyes at them.

They looked like two bikers with long hair and mainly black clothes with plenty of metal jewellery around their necks and around their wrists.

"Hey sweetheart." one of them said as he leaned against the van. "How you doing, you look a little lost. Maybe I can help you with that."

Zoe scoffed and ignored him while Thalia was being spoken to by the other guy. They looked in their early twenties and Zoe noticed in the back of their pockets they each had a knife.

"It's not nice to ignore me sweetheart." He said towards Zoe who just glared at him and turned her head hoping he took the hint before she knocked him into next week.

The man gritted his teeth a little, not happy with the attitude Zoe was giving him and went forward and grabbed her arm. The other man saw this and walked towards them. Thalia looked ready to zap someone while Grover looked a little lost, not knowing what to do.

"Your being rude sweetheart." The man said as he took his pocketknife out of his pocket and looked ready to use it.

Zoe was about to go forward and give them both a beating of a lifetime as she glared at them with a venomous look but to the surprise two hands from behind grabbed them and slammed their heads into each other.

"Back off assholes." Drake said as he proceeded to beat the two assholes up before dumping them into a nearby dumpster. "Sleep with the rats and think about your path in life, dipshits."

Silena, Thalia, and Zoe stared and shared the same thought. 'Gods that was so hot.' They couldn't deny that the way Drake dominated and took control there was hot and a turn on, especially to Silena and Thalia, one being the daughter of Aphrodite, the other having an attraction to strong boys who can handle their own. Zoe liked that Drake dealt with the two guys easily, and it made her heart flutter as he sent her a smile.

Silena watched and looked from Zoe to Thalia and sighed mentally. 'I'll need to speak with those two after this quest, see if they REALLY hold feelings for Drake and can agree to share...though I wonder how that can work with Zoe considering her oath to the Hunters.'

Silena gave everyone their orders and they stood there, sipping their coffees.

"So where are we going to try and find a monster to interrogate?" Thalia asked as she took a sip of her hot chocolate and wiped away the chocolate moustache it gave her.

"Well, to be honest I was thinking central Park. I have had run-ins with Hellhounds in there before plus there are plenty of wood spirits there. It could be a good place to start." Drake said as they all nodded as the plan was pretty sound.

"A good idea." Zoe said with a nod and looked at Drake. "Considering you can now change into a wolf thanks to Lady Artemis, you can track scents."

Drake nodded. "Good point."

"Hey guys look." Grover called getting their attention as his reed pipes glowed from the magic he was using along with the tracking spell. "I got something."

Everyone crowded around Grover and pulled out a map. The map flickered around a little before the reed pipes shot forward a tiny glow that hit the map and caused it to land on one of the cites that was displayed on it.

"Washington D.C." He all said looking at the map.

"Well at least we have somewhere to go. Are you sure about this Grover?" They asked as the satyr nodded his head furiously.

"I'm positive. I felt a tingling sensation as I performed the magic and it was like nature was telling me to go to Washington. Whatever is there it links to Artemis. I'm sure of it."

They all looked at each other before looking at Drake and Zoe who thought it over.

Drake looked at Zoe, who nodded, so he nodded back before speaking. "It's the best lead we have got so far and it's good that we have it so early on."

"Well then!" Dante said from inside the van. "Get your butts on the ride! We're going to D.C!"
