Hey, Willow

I've had an idea

There's a legend about a rare demon known as a 'Binder'

The name is a bit intense but apparently its known as a harbinger of true love or smth

It's supposed to help couples who love each other but haven't realised it yet

Disregarding the romanticism, I think it could help Luz and Amity make up with each other

This blog has a good article on it: .bi/binder/

It also has a bunch of weird rants about plans to take over the isles, so just ignore those

Wow

That's a lot

I'll read through it all in a second

I didn't take you for someone who'd be into beasts

Thought you were illusion track?

I am

?

It wasn't actually my idea

It was my girlfriend's

Don't tell anyone, ok?

My Mum will kill me if she learns who it is

Her name's Viney, she's taking a mix of the beast and healing tracks thanks to Luz

Brown hair, fish hook?

That's her

Never understood the fish hook tbh

She fidgets with it whenever her hands are free

Not that I pay attention to what she does with her hands or anything

But it's a bit distracting, y'know?

Her fidgeting, I mean, not what she does with her hands

Although that's kinda the same thing

But the second one has a double meaning

Willow? You there?

Yep, sorry

I was just reading the article you sent

You were saying something about Viney's hands distracting you?

Nevermind

What did you think of the article?

I mean, it's an idea

We'd need to be very careful not to force them into it

Friendships - and anything beyond that - need to be built on consent and trust

But that doesn't mean we should let a misunderstanding tear them apart

Do you have any better ideas?

Not really…

Ok, let's say we went with this option

What would we need to do?

Well the article gives pretty specific directions for finding it

The difficulty seems to be in getting it to reveal itself to you

I guess we just get Amity and Luz to go there with us?

Separately, of course

They won't come if we tell them the real reason

I don't like lying to my friends

What other options do we have?

We can't just tell Luz about Amity's crush, that wouldn't be fair to either of them

Ik ik

I can think of some other ideas but they all involve lying or tricking them anyway

Titan this is frustrating

Ok so…

You make up with Amity, and I'll message Luz

We can play it off as a coincidence when we get there

What time should we aim to meet?

Saturday, just after lunch? So around 2pm

Sounds good to me

Emira groans lightly from her position lying atop her bedsheets, still dressed in the casual clothes she'd worn to see Viney earlier in the night. Once they'd ended their date, she'd wanted to tell Willow about the plan while the details were still fresh in her mind, and so the first thing she did upon clambering back into her room was to send Willow a message explaining it, not expecting a response until the morning. Instead, she'd replied almost instantly, and now, half an hour later, Emira finds herself no closer to the sleep she desperately craves. Lethargy seeps into her limbs as the full effects of staying up until 2 in the morning begin to catch up with her. Unfortunately, she has more pressing concerns; tomorrow (which is technically today, but she's far too tired to care) is Friday, which gives her exactly one day to make up with Amity, or risk her refusing the invitation on Saturday because she assumes it's a trick. Organising the meeting for Sunday would have given her more time, but Sunday lunch at the Blight Manor is a major event and takes up the whole afternoon, so that isn't an option. As it is, she's on a tight schedule, and going in without a plan could end disastrously. Which means that she won't be sleeping for at least another couple of hours. With another light groan, Emira pries herself from her bed and crosses over to her desk, pulling out her journal and staring at a blank page for a moment before carefully beginning to write.

Author's Note: I thought this chapter was a lot longer than it ended up being, so sorry about that. Also, Emira is just as much a lesbian disaster as Amity when it comes to Viney, and you can't convince me otherwise.
