Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Angel and Devil. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I do not own any rights to Fairy Tale, Hiro Mashima, Kodansha and a few others that I may write about.

"Lucy…" Erza stated to which Lucy crossed her arms. "We know just how dangerous outsiders can be." Erza added as Erza frowned and shook her head.

"I've been handling him since he's come here." Lucy stated and pointed a finger at Erza. "You know that, yet you keep acting like he's some hideous monster we know nothing about and cannot be trusted or ANYTHING." Lucy said while pondering what happened to Avitus.

"We barely know anything about him, Lucy." Erza said to which Lucy raised an eyebrow. "There has to be failsafe in case he's dangerous." Erza put in as she crossed her arms over her chest with annoyance.

"I can handle myself!" Lucy said and frowned before looking down at the ground with annoyance. "You told me you'd let me handle Avitus! I trust him, if he wanted me dead? I'd handle him like I usually do…" Lucy said to which Erza wanted to say something as Lucy turned to leave.

"And if Avitus becomes out of control?" Erza questioned to which Lucy hummed and started to leave once again.

"Then I'll handle it… And you know I can." Lucy said before turning to leave once more. "Let me handle it, Erza. I know what I'm doing." Lucy stated to which Erza said nothing as she turned to look out the door once more.

Erza said nothing at the moment. She could only ponder what Avitus would do. She knew Lucy could handle Erza pondered what happened that something would become of the wounded warrior.

But she worried about what Avitus would do next. She had trusted enough people to know there was snakes in the grass once more. Avitus was an unknown factor that she could only question if he was truly on their side.

(With Avitus)

Avitus withdrew his wings what would happen next. He felt in pain, but that pain started to die out slowly. Each day brought more comfort at the moment.

"You, ok?" Lucy questioned as she started to open the door. "I hope you're doing better since we last talk." Lucy stated to which Avitus simply shrugged and started to look around the room.

"I'm fine, Lucy." Avitus said and crossed his legs under him. "How are you ok at the moment? I hope you're not too inconvenienced by me." Avitus said while cracking his wings which caused him to grunt and grabbed at his wing.

"OW…" Avitus stated as he shook his head once more and leaned back against the wall behind him.

"Don't strain yourself at the moment." Lucy said as Avitus scooted backwards as he allowed Lucy to sit on the bed.

"I'm just curious about what happened." Avitus said while facing Lucy once more. "I feel useless all over. Without my wings? I feel like I cant do anything at the moment." Avitus said and sighed before looking out the window.

"Why?" Lucy said and leaned forward. "Are most people in your region gifted with wings?" Lucy asked to which Avitus nodded.

"Yeah, makes it easier to climb around the mountains for the most part." Avitus said and blinked a moment later. "I don't know if it was given by magic if we're born with it… All I know is flying is a part of us a lot at the moment." Avitus said and raised an eyebrow.

He was quite curious only ponder why he didn't remember that. Very many things he was curious about at the moment. He couldn't understand it… But he sure as anything did want to find out about it when push came to shove.

"Hey, Lucy?" Avitus said to which Lucy blinked. "I think you might want to read that book you found. It's important, I don't know why… But I think you should let someone see it. I heard the magic in it is dangerous." Avitus said as Lucy hummed once more.

"Really?" Lucy said as Avitus hummed once more.

"Yeah, I think we need to examine that book…" Avitus said and rubbed at his temples once more. "Do you want to bring the book here to look at it? I don't know for a fact what's in the book at the moment and I don't want you guys getting hurt if it's dangerous." Avitus said to which Lucy nodded and ponder what could only ponder what happened next.

She knew for a fact that this was going to be a long day when it came down to it. Still?

She wanted to give Avitus the benefit of the doubt. He had secrets she knew for a fact that things had to get better sooner or later.

Hopefully sooner rather then later at the moment. She started to which could only wonder what was going to happen next. She cracked her knuckles once more and looked around at the moment.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be in 2-10 months at the moment. Next chapter will show more bonding and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter will be 900-1500 words. Erza and most of them 900, Mirajane will be 1500 words or at the moment and such.
