Horse Show Rehearsal Part 2
"Mom's got the van all set, are you three ready to go to dinner?" Max asked Lisa, Carole, and Stevie.
"You mean we're not ordering room service?" Stevie asked Max.
"No," Max said to Stevie. "Mom's arranged for your pen pals and their families to meet us at the new Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, Minelli's, here is a photograph of the establishment where we'll be dining tonight."
The Saddle Club looked at the photograph.
"Whoa, Max! That place looks like it costs a fortune to eat at!" Stevie exclaimed.
"I'm not sure Missis and Colonel Baker can afford that place on their salaries, Max." Lisa said nervously.
"Don't worry about that, Lisa," Carole said. "my dad is paying for it, he and Colonel Baker are US Army buddies."
"That may be fine for you, Carole," Stevie said. "but what about Lisa and me?"
"Don't worry about that, Stevie," Max said. "Mom and I have saved every penny for this trip, we've got the restaurant covered."
"Yes!" Lisa exclaimed.
"Thanks, Max!" Stevie exclaimed.
Once they reached Minelli's, the students of Pine Hollow, Red, Max, and Elizabeth got out of the van.
Lisa quickly spied Rob in the suit he wore to Lana Barnes's award ceremony.
"Lisa," Rob called. "over here!"
Lisa went to join Rob while the other Pine Hollow students followed.
The Pine Hollow guests joined the Ghostwriter team and their families at a long restaurant table.
Unfortunitely for the Ghostwriter team, Calvin Fergusison, Veronica's pen pal was also dining at Minelli's along with his family at the same long table.
