Izuku Midoriya

No one expected the surprise attack that came. All because we were being too cautious of the large one that Miu warned was coming our way. Luckily, being in a pinch is something I specialize in.

"Gas mask! It is that person!" Sora immediately shouts when someone pokes out from the hole that opened on the ground.

Damn it! We forgot about the teleporter for a second. Could they be working together? Did they actually use the large one as a decoy? But could they possibly know about the twins' echolocation?

I kept my focus on the direction Miu specified the large one was coming from, keeping my back to the person that sprouted from the ground. I'm sure Kacchan will attack that one. And he did.

"Keep your distan-"

Kacchan charges forward ignoring Sora's warning and shouting "Die!" at the top of his lungs, ready to fight.

"I love this energy." The woman smiles then brings her arms out in front of her. Pink fog emits from her fingertips. It looks familiar. This fog…

"Sleep!"

"I'm not falling for that twice, bitch!" Kacchan shouts before taking a deep breath then plunging into the fog. He almost reaches her, but the woman vanishes, along with the fog, her laugh resonating. Then, she reappears a few inches from me.

I knew it.

The hole has opened up in front of me and the woman reaches out, grabbing my arm to pull me inside the hole.

She targeted me because I look the most injured. She might also know that I'm currently quirkless. Basically, she thinks I'm the weakest.

Too bad I'm not weak. Not anymore.

I grab her arm as well, surprising her, and jump forward, letting myself get sucked into the hole with her.

"Deku!" I hear Miu shout before being consumed by absolute silence and darkness. My eyes are open but all I see is black.

Seems like all my senses had shut down. Except for touch, I realized after a few moments, because I can still feel the arm of the woman who pulled me into this mess.

She's struggling to break free from my hold, but her raw physical strength is nothing compared to mine.

She's not using her quirk. Maybe she can't. Maybe it's an effect of this blackhole warp thing? Wait! This blackhole warp thing- It's not her quirk! Her quirk is the fog! Unless she has two? No no no. There must be someone else outside doing this. A separate quirk user.

Soon enough, the woman grew weaker. That's when I realized that I haven't been breathing ever since I got sucked into the hole. Simply because I can't. So, the same can be said for the woman.

Thankfully, my endurance was good. The same can't be said for the woman though. She's gasping for air, but there's no air inside this black space.

I don't know why, but my instinct to save kicks in even if she's an enemy. I know I'll hate myself later for this, but at this moment there's nothing else to do.

I searched for her gas mask in the darkness. Once I found it, I removed it and gave her air.

Katsuki Bakugo

"Shitty Deku, why'd you jump in? So dumb! Come back! Imma kick your ass!"

I'm not worried. I'M NOT. Trying to convince myself that he'll be fine- scratch that- Trying to convince myself that I'm not worried, I let my rage out on the spot where the woman disappeared before me.

"Dynamight, we-"

"What?!"

The bat twins are standing back-to-back, bracing themselves for another attack.

"Aside from the large one and, uhm, Gas Mask, there's three more people hiding. They're circling us. But, it seems like they're just watching for now," the short-haired one says.

"Tell me where they are, Short Hair. I'm gonna kill them!"

"Short- My name is Miu!"

"Just tell me where they are!"

The other one stops Short Hair from giving the information and instead answers me with, "You do not know their abilities. It might be an ambush. You might have forgotten but you are powerless as of the moment. Besides, we have to wait for Deku to resurface-"

"I may be quirkless, but I'm not powerless," I told her in a firm voice. I don't have the patience right now. I'm a hand bomb whose pin got pulled out; ready to explode any moment.

I clench my fists beside me, feeling the sweat coming from my palms, but refusing to ignite.

The twins chose to stay silent, so when I looked up to demand the information from them again, I was surprised to find that they were looking at me with… Awe? Damn.

I could not help the blush that crept up my neck and ears. So, I pretended that it came from anger. "And Deku can handle himself! If you cowards don't wanna attack, just stay here! I don't care!" I said, back to my yelling.

"I'm ba- Aaaahhhh!- ck." thump

The three of us turned around to see Deku fall on his ass just as the woman in his arms jumped up and held onto the hole hovering a few feet above Deku.

"'Til next time, my savior!" the woman whose gas mask was now hanging loosely around her neck says in a sultry voice to Deku. Her face… Why does she look so familiar?

She licks her lips and continues with, "And since we've kissed, you can call me Somi."

WHAT?! My ears must be malfunctioning.

Ignoring what I just heard, I ran forward, unconsciously pointing my hands backward for propelling, forgetting that I can't fucking blast my way towards where I wanted to go. Still, I ran as fast as my legs could take me. But, the woman- Somi- is long gone. She got herself sucked back into the goddamn hole, her laugh still resonating in the air.

That was when I realized why she looks so familiar, why her quirk is so familiar.

Midnight-Sensei.

This woman must be her ancestor of some sort and-

Then, something zoomed by me, pulling me out of my realization. In a flurry of black and red and brown, the bat twins flew forward with speed that reminded me of Hawks. Ugh. Ofcourse! Winged people.

They reached Deku before I did.

What ticked me off though is that they could have flown into the hole and caught the enemy. BUT, they decided to dote on shitty Deku instead.

You're worried, too-

SHUT UP!

"Deku, are you alright?" Short Hair asks, checking on his injuries.

"Hey! The hole-" closes before I could even reach it or finish my sentence. "Damn it!"

I could feel their glares, judging me, but I don't care. The enemy got away!

Bangs picks up the bags on the ground and hurriedly says, yet somehow still monotonous, "Let's go! Gas Mask- Somi- is with an ally now and the big one will be here any second-"

"We can fight," Deku says as he stands up, then adds, "Trust us!" to assure Short Hair who's still busy worrying about his injuries.

"I hope you understand, but we can not afford to be suicidal like you," Bangs states, wearing the bag in front to not hinder her wings. "Miu, let us go. If they want to stay and fight, they are free to do so. But we have to run." Huh… I thought she was brave. Turns out, I'm wrong.

Short Hair hesitates for a second, but, predictably, she follows her twin anyway.

Bangs pauses for a second before running, rather clumsily I noticed, into the forest. Just as her image disappeared through the trees, I caught a glimpse of the black somethings she's wearing on both knees that her twin doesn't have.

Short Hair turns to follow, but stops and quickly informs us, "Big one at six o'clock. Two, one of them probably Gas Mask Somi, at four. A tiny one at twelve. And the last one is at nine." After that she runs through the trees, better and faster than her twin. Then I realized they went in that direction specifically to avoid all the directions she just mentioned to us; to avoid all the enemies lying in wait.

Deku watches until she disappears from view. "Do you think they'll make it out safe? Maybe we should-"

"Don't worry about them! We have to end five enemies now. Can you do it or will you just be dead weight to me?" I said in my usual angry tone, but judging by the way Deku looked at me, this mask is useless. Shit. He knows. I'm worried, too. I would be dumb not to.

What's strange is that I'm not only worried about shitty Deku and myself. I'm worried about the freakin bats as well.

"-Kacchan! Hey, are you listening?"

"What?!" I can't seriously be worrying about anyone else right now!

"I have a plan," Deku begins. "First, we need to find the one responsible for their- uhm- let's say warping."

"Fine. Let's both go to twelve first. Put some distance between us and the big one at six."

"Great idea, Kacchan!"

"Call me Dynamight on the fie-"

Rudely interrupting me, a huge hole opens above us, looming over us. It's the biggest one we've seen yet, I believe.

"The warp user must be close!" Deku says, already waiting for the hole to spit something or someone out.

I also braced myself, but nothing could have prepared either of us for what actually came out of the gigantic hole.

"Fuck-"

"No way-"

The ground shook and cracked beneath two large bare feet as someone dropped down from the hole which immediately snapped closed after spitting him out.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

His white eyes locked onto us, ready to attack. Ready to kill.

I looked up, up, and up until I could meet those eyes full of bloodlust… Those eyes I knew too well.

"Nice to see you again, big fool!" I shouted a lie. It was not nice to see him again. In fact, I never expected to see him again. Why?

Because he's dead. In our own time, at least, Gigantomachia is dead. I killed him.

"Gigantomachia!" I yelled at him. "I will kill you again!"

Unconsciously, I almost attacked, but Deku pulled me away and started dragging the furious me towards the opposite direction.

"Kacchan, calm down! We can't fight the Gigantomachia in this state!" He frantically says.

I pulled my arm away, but instead of going back to fight, I continued running away and whispers begrudgingly, "I know. I'm not dumb. I just… hate this!"

Deku and I break through the trees and reach a cliff. A dead end.

Did I seriously survive a war just to die here?

We desperately looked for another way to escape, Machia's booming steps in hot pursuit, coming closer every second.

Deku points to the left, but a hole opens up and spits Gas Mask out, pink fog immediately coming out of her fingertips.

I immediately held my breath and I'm sure Deku did the same. He's not dumb no matter how many times I call him that. He better not be or else-

Turning to the only available escape route, we ran to the right. And- Surprise! Surprise! There stood three hooded figures, making us halt in our attempt to escape.

Shit! No way to escape now. Unless we take our chances and jump off the cliff. As if the hard solid ground and rocks waiting miles below would grant us any mercy!

"Jump!"

Huh?

"Jump! Now!"

Deku and I looked up at the same time, following the high-pitched voice that screamed the ridiculous advice. It came from two flurries of black, red, and brown- The bat twins! They're descending at a neck-breaking speed towards us. I guess they really are brave.

"Wormhole!" a deep voice bellows from the one of the three hooded figures on the right. Then, like a good little soldier, the one he called Wormhole followed right away. A hole appears in the exact direction the bat twins are going for.

I almost shouted to alert them- almost- but, the two expertly dodges. Seems like they didn't even need my help at all.

It doesn't stop there, though. After dodging one danger, they dove through numerous more. And by numerous, I mean numerous.

Other holes started appearing where it could, trying to catch the two winged women. I can't even count how many holes there are.

Surprisingly, they just maneuvered through it all gracefully without losing any speed.

They're good at this, I thought. I would never tell them that, though.

"What are you suicidal heroes doing? Jump! Now!" Bangs- No, Sora shouts at us.

Deku and I look back and see the trees break apart as Machia appears. Without thinking twice, Deku jumps off the cliff.

Ugh, fuck this.

I follow, narrowly escaping the fog, a hole, and Gigantomachia's fist.

**~A/N [05/13/2021]~** Finally done! God! I hated and loved writing this fight scene (if you could even call it that. It's so hard yet fun to do... Here's to hoping I could write better fight scenes (and in general) in the future updates. Also, don't get confused. Bakugo killing Gigantomachia is not canon. I just added it for ~drama~.
