The Scott Home
"The ride home was quiet. I know you and the boys are used to alot more in terms of a house and life in general. Currently i'm trying to sort through all the mismatched pieces of my life. So you are getting no judgement with me on how you move forward. Because we are in the same place."
"What can i get you to eat and drink.?" Lucas asked. Looking to Brooke.
Brooke took a deep breath. And stared around the kitchen. Then over at her boys.
"Comfort food. Anything. We aren't are you're take out food menus." Brooke asked.
"I'm in the mood to cook. Macaroni and cheese. Lemon pepper chicken. And on the side loaded baked potato salad. What do you think about that.?" He asked.
Brooke felt her mouth watering and stomach growling.
"Amazing. Haven't had food like that in ages. You have to let me help." Brooke insisted.
"I won't have it. You are my guest. Which means i take care of you. And that goes for the two of you as well." Lucas proclaimed. Looking to the boys.
"Momma what's going to happen to the rest of our stuff.?" Davis asked.
"And what about daddy. Where did he go and what if he comes back.?" Jude asked. The boy shaking at the thought.
"Things can be replacement. You're father's location is the police's concern now. I want you to get used to you're new surroundings. You're uncle Lucas opened up his home to us. Out of pure kindness and a strong need to help." Brooke stated.
"But we don't want to leave you alone." Davis admitted. Jude shaking his head in agreement.
Look at me. I'm in one piece. The two of you will be sharing a room. You need to put away you're stuff. I'll let you know when the food is ready." Brooke reassured them.
They looked to each other then back at Lucas.
"Just because momma trust you. Doesn't mean we do." Davis said. Turning from him as the boys left the kitchen and went up the stairs.
"I've been warned. I will keep that in mind and tread lightly." Lucas said. Looking to Brooke.
"I wouldn't take it to heart. Davis and Jude are very protective over me. Living in that house with Julian was about survival. We depended on each other." Brooke revealed.
"Why don't you go shower and change.? I've got things covered down you're time." Lucas suggested.
"Sure. I might as well." Brooke replied. Getting up from her seat as she left the kitchen and went up the stairs.
...
Once upstairs and behind the closed door of the bathroom. Brooke went to lock the door. Swallowing hard as her hand shook.
She took off her towel and stared at her naked body in the mirror.
The bruises were starting to fade. But besides that. She was too thin. Julian monitored what they ate and how much of it they got. She couldn't stand the sight of herself. She turned away. Tearing off her wedding ring and throwing it into the trash can.
As she turned on the water and stepped into the shower.
Scrubbing the soap over her body. Keeping her eyes closed the water washed over her.
She doesn't know how long she was there. But once she reopened her eyes the water was cold.
Brooke carefully got out of the shower and dried herself off.
It was then that felt the feeling of familiar hands on her body and the voice that made her skin crawl.
"Look at you. Thinking you've won. You will be nothing without me." Julian's voice echoed in her mind.
Brooke stared up at the mirror. To see his face. She bawled up fist and smashed it into the mirror.
When his face vanished. She started down at her fist to see it was bleeding.
"Shit!" She exclaimed softly as she wrapped her injured hand in a spare cloth and left the bathroom with a towel wrapped around herself.
By the time she finished getting dressed. She heard Lucas calling her down from the stairs to eat.
...
"You wouldn't believe it if i told you." "Brooke has become so out of control lately. She's turned violent and it's taken a toll on our marriage. I know Davis and Jude would be better off with me. I think Brooke needs serious mental help. "Julian announced.
"For her to be attacking you and putting the lives of the boys at risk. Is very concerning to us." Ted Davis replied.
"We should go down to Tree Hill and see for ourselves what's going on.?" Victoria suggested.
"Now mom. You know how stubborn Brooke is. Asking for help of any kind isn't what she does. She'll just deny the problem or blame me. She's the mother of my sons. Let me handle it." Julian stated.

The Scott Home
"I appreciate you coming by here at such short notice." Lucas said.
Jake smiled shyly.
"We have more in common then different. I'm sorry about how this is unfolding. I never meant for you to be hurt. Peyton made this decision to lie to us both for all these years." Jake said.
"I hate how many lives her lie is affecting. We've been friends since high school. This situation shouldn't change that. I invited you over because Sawyer is hurt and confused. I was hopeful that we could come to some kind of agreement in terms of a shared custody regarding her." Lucas stated.
Jake thought it over then looked to Lucas.
"I may be Sawyer's biological father. But you're her dad. You she shares 12 years of memories. Birthdays. Holidays. With you. I would never attempt to take you're place or break the bond the two of you share. I'm fully open to sharing custody."
"Honestly she doesn't want anything to do with me. So instead of trying to force a relationship. I just want her to be happy and fufilled. If you want I'll sign over my parental rights. Allowing you the freedom to adopt her.?" Jake suggested.
