"For the foundational skills of Heroics that we'll be studying today, It was decided that you'll be supervised by a three-man team consisting of Myself, All Might and one other." Aizawa's voice echoed throughout the silent class, though the silence that once prevailed was quickly disturbed as the class began muttering between themselves
For the most part, Raven just remained silent, watching his teacher slowly get more and more annoyed as the whispers continued. Today had started off like any other though there was a strange tension he noticed from the teachers during the day, he could only guess it was due to the gate's opening yesterday which was understandable
Their seemingly impenetrable wall and been demolished and their school
overran, not only that but their timetable for lessons had been stolen as well as a class list
It makes sense why they're so worried since Villains could potentially know their shit
"Sir?!" Sero's voice broke through the whispers, the Spider-Man rip off raising his hand to get the teacher's attention "What kind of training is this?"
"Rescue Training." The man pulled out a card that read 'Rescue' in a bold blue from… somewhere, Raven just left that up to anime logic "You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that."
The class just broke out into more whispers, he could hear Kaminari talking about this being more difficult to Ashido and Kirishima
They're right of course, this training exercise is going to be very, very difficult.
"Guys, I'm not finished yet." Aizawa's voice silenced the class yet again "What you wear in this exercise is up to you, I know you're excited about costumes but keep in mind you haven't gotten used to them yet and they might limit your abilities."
Aizawa pulled out a small remote from his scarf and with a click of the button their Hero Briefcases slowly moved from the wall
"This training is at an off-site facility so we'll be taking a bus to get there" He started leaving "That's all, start getting ready."
The class moved instantly, everyone heading to their cases - except for Midoriya since his costume was destroyed by Bakugo - before getting dressed
Once in the training room Raven paused while grabbing his sword.
This is it, this is where everything starts, this is when the beginning of the end happens when Villains rise up against the heroes as the reign of All Might comes to its conclusion
This is the moment where everything changes in this universe
And he has the power to change it
He gripped the sword, all he'd need to do is cut off a single finger on each and then it's done, he'll he just needs to put them in an Illusion and the games over… but there's a weight in his stomach that just isn't allowing him to settle
Something ain't right
He just doesn't know what…
His grip tightened as he attached the sword to his waist. It would have to do, it's too late to change it and too late to make a plan.
He'd only been at school for 4 days after all and the months he spent before had been full of practice and everything and slipped his, mind.

Raven didn't participate much in the conversation before the bus and don't really do much for most of the journey to the USJ, instead He sat at the back of the bus, idly listening to the conversation as he messed with the bells on his sword
He had decided to ditch his coat today, instead just donning the shoes, pants, t-shirt as well the fingerless gloves that made up his hero costume, of course, this means he doesn't have access to his camera but right now the drone wasn't useful if anything he'd just forget about it
No, his sword and 'costume' is all he needs
"Your Quirk reminds me of All Mights." That sentence was what really drew him into the conversation, he knew it was coming but he still started paying more attention when the frog girl finally said it
"Yeah but All Might doesn't end up in the hospital every other day, but that sort of simple, strength-enhancing Quirk is awesome! You can do a whole lot of stuff with it" Kirishima's excitement was visible as he buzzed in his seat, eyes ablaze with many excitement though his joy dimmed as he thrust his own arm out
"Not like my Hardening, it's good in a fight but it's really boring." Raven sighed as he put himself in the conversation, might as well plant the idea of Red Riot Unbreakable in Kirishima's head right now
Oh and help Midoriya with his control problem
"I don't know about that Kirishima." He drew everyone's eyes making him sigh "Sure it's boring but so is Strength Enhancing, either way, it's considered a common ability just at different levels, your Hardening is one of the strongest I've seen, I imagine if you could harden your entire body and give it a few years of intense training you'd be able to tank some of All Mights punches." His friend gained a determined look and said something that Raven ignored, instead moving his eyes across to Midoriya who sat nervously
"I also noticed something about your Quirk Midoriya." The Successor of All Might flinched eyes shooting over to him "From what I can guess you haven't had your Quirk for that long, especially since Bakugo keeps insisting you were quirkless during Middle School."
He ignored Bakugos grumble and glare
"Anyways from what I've seen you've been channelling your power through only one part of your body at a time, when you use your Quirk you get these Veins of Power across your body but they're only appearing on the place your powers are at." He paused, letting Midoroya nod at his 'assumption'
"That's the problem you see, your Quirk gives you super strength and reinforces your body to survive the attacks, however since only one part of your body is getting all the power the rest is left vulnerable, if I had to guess your bones are breaking because your Quirk is trying to stop your other bones from breaking by sacrificing the limb containing all the built-up power." He furrowed his eyebrows as he finished talking, sending the rest of the students near Midoriya a glance
"Did that make sense?" He didn't get an answer making him shrug "Basically just try to empower your entire body instead of just a single part of it, get it?"
Midoriya nodded his head slowly, eyes wide as he absorbed the words he'd have been taught in a couple of weeks anyway
Still, if Midoriya can get this down now then he'll be able to learn more about OFA under Gran Torino who can help him increase his power output instead of focusing completely on control
"My Navel Laser is both flashy and strong enough for the Pro Level." Of Course, Aoyama didn't let go of Kirishima's comment about his Quirk not being flashy or exciting and with his sudden words sparked the conversation that was supposed to happen without his interruption
Raven just sighed.

"Floor Wrecks, Landslides, fire, etc, etc. This is a practical training area that I created myself to simulate all kinds of accidents and disasters, its name is the Unforeseen Simulation Joint!" The Space-Suit wearing hero announced, much to the verbal joy of his classmates
He could understand why, the USJ looked exactly like a theme park, albeit one designed to destroy itself over and over again but a theme park nevertheless, even its name - the USJ - is synonymous with the other USJ - Universal Studios Japan - in the small island.
Raven silently ignored Uraraka's fangirling in favour of watching the two pros converse, catching the brief movement where Thirteen told Aizawa about All Mights absence
"Before we begin Just one thing or two. Or three. Or Four. Anyways, as I'm sure most of you know My quirk is called Black Hole, it can suck in and tear anything apart."
"Yes, you've used it to save people in all sorts of disasters!" Midoriya pointed out
"Indeed… but there's a catch. My Power can easily end someone's life, and I'm sure that some of you have similar abilities." The Class gained a sombre mood at that, most if not all the class glancing at their hands at the teacher's words
His Illusions are a powerful tool and are very suited to help in all kinds of scenarios and it can be just as deadly as it is amazing as shown by Aizen
However, where does his power end in comparison? As far as he's aware Aizen didn't have unlimited potential like him so how far can he push Kyoka Suigetsu?
Will he eventually be able to cause brain damage and brain haemorrhages by causing people to hear extremely loud noises? Will he be able to completely defeat people for life? Completely blind someone?
Will wh be able to put someone in such horrific hypnosis that they fall into a coma of neverending nightmares? Will he eventually drive someone completely insane by taking away their sense of touch? Will he make a person 'feel' enough pain that their heart physically stops and they die? Will he eventually be able to shut down a person's brain entirely?
How far can he push Kyoka Suigetsu before its power becomes too deadly?
He shivered at the thought, Kyoka Suigetsu is an amazing, powerful ability- an absolutely terrifying ability no matter whose hands it's in, heroes or a villains
He sent a glance at the blade on his waist
God he hopes he never meets the original user of this ability, seeing Kyoka Suigetsu in action and seeing Aizen Sosuke in action are completely different things after all
Kyoka Suigetsu is nowhere near as terrifying as its true weirder after all
"-Your powers aren't meant to harm." Raven snapped back to reality after a few moments, catching the tail end of Thirteens speech making him tense "So I hope you all leave here today understanding that you are meant to help people!"
"HUDDLE BACK AND DON'T MOVE! THIRTEEN, PROTECT THE STUDENTS." Aizawa's shout shocked everything but they all quickly did as he said, the other Pro not even delaying the moment she heard the man's order
Raven himself tensed, hand shooting down to the hilt of his sword, knuckles going white with how hard he gripped the Green Tsukamaki hilt
From their place in the balcony, they could see a black most forming at the bottom of the plaza
"What is that? Is that like a training exercise like the entrance exam?" He clicked his younger as Kirishima spoke, eyebrows tightening as he prepared himself
"DON'T MOVE!" Their teacher called out when Kirishima do Kaminaro stepped forward to take a look "THOSE ARE VILLAINS!"
The entire class froze at the teacher's words, the man himself donning his golden goggles when a voice - Tomura Shigaraki's voice, Tenko Shimura's Voice - was heard throughout echoing through the building.
"Thirteen, Eraserhead… according to the staff schedule I received All Might is supposed to be here as well." From the smokey body of Kurogiri he appeared, a tall, lanky man with pale blue hair emerged, hands covering his body.
Tomura Shigaraki had arrived
The Next Symbol of Evil had Arrived
The Successor of All For One hand arrived
Raven froze, a cold settling around him as reality sunk in
This is real
If he fails here there is no next world, there is no restart, no do-overs, no nothing. If he fails here he dies. Again. Everything played to Canon's whims but this isn't Canon
Canon was derailed the moment he existed
And this world is very much real
There's no reason for Tomura to play around with them, either way, All Might is going to arrive and if he arrived at a bloodbath even better
Because not only will he be distraught over his student's death - his Successors death at that- his career as the Symbol of Peace would be ruined
After all, how could the Symbol of Peace not keep his own students safe?
The public want cars ain't the situation, just that the Symbol of Peace failed
"Greetings." Raven shivered when Kurogiri's voice appeared behind them but silently bit his lip, ignoring the sudden coppery taste from where his teeth shredded his skin
No is no time to be distracted
He can freak out when they're safe
He just needs to calm the fuck down
Taking on a deep breath he relaxed his body, losing his grip on Kyoka Suigetsu but not moving his palm from the handle as he continued to breathe, slowly relaxing as his body lost its tension he started working on creating an illusion, not just on Kurogiri but on his fellow classmates as well
A silent whisper brushing their ears, letting them know of the silver guard on the mist-man's body, a silent whisper to be prepared to be warped away, a whisper telling Iida to be prepared to leave for help
He could see his power taking effect the moment he opened his eyes, could see the tension in his classmate's bodies as they prepared for what he'd whispered abou-
Bang
"Bet you didn't think we'd be able to do you in before you got the chance!" He rested the snarl that threatened to break through his facade as Kirishima and Bakugou attacked
"That was quite perilous." Kurogiri remained calm despite the attack, reforming in an instant "But it's to be expected. Though you may be mere students you are also the world's 'Golden Eggs'"
"It's no use you two!" He winced hearing Thirteen's desperate voice "RUN!"
Within seconds of their teacher's shout, they were consumed with Kurogiri's black mist, the next thing he and most of his classmates knew was a falling sensation as they fell through the gates into the multiple facilities around the USJ.
When the most cleared and Raven was able to look around he felt his eyes narrow, he had wondered where he'd end up, even with a 'copy' of him staying with the others to let them know what was happening where be was
That said Raven himself had landed just a meter away from Todoroki, the heterochromatic boy immodest judging their surroundings and at the dozen or so thugs that decided to attack them
'16, 17, 18, 19, 20…, 27…, 32. 32 thugs huh, 16 each then. Poor folks don't know who they're up again, both Todoroki and I could demolish them with a thought.'
"32." He muttered, seeing Todoroki give a small nod of his head at his words "Half?" Once again all he received was a nod but that was all he needed
Raven grinned as he glanced through his side of the Villains and with a single thought he turned the Villains on one another, a single thought affecting their senses to make him disappear and appear where all their supposed allies were
Behind him he could feel the air slowly start to freeze, a sudden jolt of cold sunk the temperature lower than zero degrees as Todoroki's Villains was subsequently frozen in ice
With Todoroki's side demolished and his own battling each other- actually, with his side all knocked out, they were free to interrogate them as much as they wished to, well as long as they didn't main, torture or kill them
"Are you embarrassed to lose your children?" He could hear Todorokis cold voice as he walked towards one of the Villains "For God's sake at least put up a fight."
Raven snorted as the Villains glared, making Todoroki glance at him but not comment
"It's not that surprising." He chuckled "They're just thugs, after all, even the police can take them down and they don't even have to use their quirks."
His comment only made the Villains glare harder but Raven didn't feel threatened by these people.
As he'd said, they're just thugs who had got caught by D-List heroes of sidekicks, in this life Raven had been training to fight since he was a child under a very strict, very knowledgeable teacher. Todoroki was trained since he was a toddler by the Number Two Pro Hero so he could eventually defeat All Might or whatever Endeavors goal was
"So the plan was to scatter us and then kill us." Hsi fellow student scoffed, ignoring Raven's previous statement "You were woefully unprepared."
They ignored the thug's whispers as they moved down the hill, Raven keeping a smirk on his face as they moved, staying just slightly behind Todoroki so-
"AHHHH"
Fwoosh
The Villain that tried to attack from the front was frozen in an instant, the villain that would've attacked from behind already knocked out from Ravens own assault only minutes prior
"Listen well." Todorkis voice very near echoed throughout the near-silent landslide "If you stay frozen like that your cells will slowly start to die as your body succumbs to frostbite and hypothermia, luckily for you I want to be a hero so I'd like to avoid any unnecessary cruelty."
The boy walked forward, extending his palm just before the terrified, frozen Villains face, a cold fog glittering with ice started moving emanating from his hand
"But I can only do that if you tell me how you plan to kill All Might, that's the only way you'll survive." Todoroki's voice was just as cold as his Quirk and the big bad Villain started babbling away about their plan
Raven didn't pay much attention, instead turning to where he knew the Plaza to be.
The landslide area is too far away for him to get a good view of the fight hut by this point Aizawa was probably being beaten down by the Nomu, Iida had probably already left and was on his way to get help and he's sure that Midoriya, Asui and Mineta have found their way to the plaza so it just left them two, Bakugo and Kirishima to join the fray before the final fight begins
A wry smile crossed his face.

All Might appeared sometime during their run to the plaza, the two students having heard his booming call the moment it was shouted. That said just because the Symbol of Peace had arrived didn't mean shit, in fact, they ran faster than before as they tried to get to the plaza
Symbol of Peace he may be but if these guys did have a way to kill All Might then they'd need to help out, well, that was Raven's reason anyways
Why Todoroki was going with him was anyone's guess really
Raven couldn't help but cringe as he arrived on the scene, All Might being German Suplexed through a portal, blood showing through his white t-shirt just under where the Nomu's sharp fingers grasped
"ALL MIGHT-" That was Midoriya, the boy shooting through the air towards Kurogiri however-
"OUTTA THE WAY!" A resounding BOOM rattled the area as Bakugo exploded onto the scene, Slamming Kurogiri into the ground as he did
Finally, Todoroki made their presence known, ice freezing the ground between them and the Nomu, ice covering the appendage that was digging into All Mights wound
"One of your poorly trained thugs told us you're here because you think you can kill All Might." Todorokis cool voice took everyone's attention, all eyes snapping to the stoic heterochromatic boy and the dark-haired teen with his sword out
In other news, All Might quickly escaped the Nomu's grasp, prying its fingers from his body and backfilling away next to where Raven stood
Said student closed his eyes, moving his sword from his side until it was centred with his body, the tip of the katana just at eye level as he glared at Tomura Shigaraki
Raven silently ignored everything else happening around him, he ignored Bakugos threat to Kurogiri, he ignored Shigaraki's whining and he ignored the Nomu standing up once again, instead focusing on one specific thing
Casting an illusion
Specifically, he spent the last few minutes manipulating Shigaraki's senses, tricking his skin into feeling more pain, tricking his sight into being slightly askew, tricking his hearing so he wouldn't notice my sound they made. He tricked Kurogiri entirely, wrapping him in an Illusion Illusion tight the man wouldn't even know what was happening, making it so the Creation of All For One believed he was being completely surrounded, so that even when the Nomu rescued him the man couldn't move
Because to Kurogiri, he was still being held on the floor, unable to move, basically paralysed entirely since he didn't know what was actually happening in the real world
Finally the Nomu, Raven had his reservation about the Nomu since he doesn't know if it's actually sentient. Sure it has its own senses but it works through the commands of others, the only real difference between the Nomu and a robot being that a Nomu has an actual brain that can be manipulated
Still, he trapped the beast in an Illusion, all the same, forcing the Nomu's eyes to work in the wrong direction, effectively making the creature look in a mirror, just to be certain the creature didn't rely on its other senses he flipped them all as well, no longer were the students of UA and All Might standing to the creatures right but instead to its left
Tuning back into reality Raven visibly grimaced as the Nomu's body started stitching itself back together, creating two new lines out of nothing before slowly wrapping itself in whatever hide-like armour its skin was made out of
The whole scene was disturbing to watch
As they all watched the Nomu as it eventually recreated its body, Shigaraki explaining the Nomu's physiology in the background he felt shock hit him fully as the horror-bird disappeared, appearing somewhere completely opposite them with its arm fully stretched out, a blast of air following behind its hits
"Nomu…?" Shigaraki's voice called out, annoyed and confused as to what the hell the Nomu was doing, the Bird let out a roar of challenge, its fists slowly blitzing in a flurry of punches and blocks as the rest of them - minus Kurogiri who was basically braindead right now - watched the bord in confusion
"Illusions." Raven spoke, a forced smile on his face as everyone's eyes snapped to him "Are such a useful ability, because no matter the situation the illusionist always wins."
Shigaraki started chuckling, his mad laughter slowly, slowly becoming more and more deranged as the moments passed, eyes blazing with a mad glee
"You have an illusionist in your party…" He giggled much like a child who'd snapped after finding out his favourite hero was a mass murderer "That's just not fair… not fair at all…"
Shigaraki continued to mumble about it not being fair and Raven had to agree, illusionist are a special breed of people who can fuck with people's minds without anyone knowing about it as he demonstrated quite easily
In fact Raven sighed in relief as Shigaraki giggled to himself, not even caring as the man child rushed him, his hand spread out as he tried to touch him- to destroy him
"We can have an illusionist ruin the fun… so DIE!" Raven chuckled when Shigaraki fell past him, he didn't even move as the pale blue-haired teen reach right past him
"Huh?" The shocked call of Shigaraki was echoed by everyone in the hall
"You're right about one thing… Shigaraki was it? Never mind, you were right that Illusionist are unfair, because we can fuck you all up with just a glance. Did you think any of this was real?" He chuckled, a mocking tint to his voice as he stared down at the deranged teen
"Did you actually think you could succeed? That you could just charge? Did you think that I actually stood here? That All Might here isn't just a figure of your imagination? That your little warp friend over there is actually alive? Did you think we were even still in the plaza? Do you know where you are? Do you know who you are? Are you so sure that everything around you is even real?" Raven shattered into shards of glass, falling away like a broken mirror descending through the air, taking everyone aback when he suddenly appeared on All Mights left
"Are we actually real or just figures of your imagination?" He clicked his fingers, Twisting everyone's vision so they no longer existed, making everyone see the others also shatter into glass
"Are we actually even in the USJ?" The scenery changed, no longer were they inside a building but instead in a large field
"Are we currently in a police station?" The scene changed again, the costume Raven wore changing into a typical police uniform as Shigaraki found himself sat down and bound, hands locked together in handcuffs, a pair of artist gloves on his hands to ensure he couldn't destroy anything
"Are we actually even on Earth anymore?" They now found themselves floating in space, Raven's illusions making them feel the inertia of floating, distant stars blinding them as they looked down at the earth from millions of miles in the air
"Are we actually having this conversation at all?" Everything shattered, revealing to everyone that nothing had changed, that Raven still stood above Shigaraki, that they still existed, that their classmates still existed, that the USJ was exactly where they stood
"Illusionists don't need any special equipment or preparation time and there's absolutely nothing you can do to defeat them." He cast a shadow over his face as he smiled at the Villain, whose eyes progressively widened, hands scratching vigorously at his neck as he sent glance after glance around the building
"Now, How do you know you're even still there, Shigaraki? After all, I've sent everyone around us through a massive journey through the universe. Are you sure you're still free? Are you sure you still exist? That you're still breathing? Are you actually alive? Has your entire life been a lie? An illusion I conjured up? Will everything you see from now on be my creation? Will the shadows in your home jump at you, reminding you that reality is just a falsehood and illusion is the real world? How do you know you exist when you face an illusionist, after all..." He trailed off, a grin spreading his face
A resounding bang echoed throughout the building, not that that but those around him could hear it, those trapped I'm his illusions suddenly going completely blind as light ceased to exist
"...you can never be sure anything is real around them."
It was at that moment the doors to the USJ opened, Iida had finally arrived and with backup
Not that they were needed, the Nomu was 'fighting' All Might, who quickly took the beast down with a quick but powerful Missouri Smash to the head, Tomura was passed out, Raven silently taking the Villain out after he ended him and Kurogiri…
He twisted his head to the silent mist man and winced
Yeah… Kurogiri was out of action
"You know Raven" He blinked at Kirishima's shaky voice, finally turning back to his classmates who were staring at him with a variety of expression.
Kirishima looked ecstatic but nervous
Midoriya was staring at him with wide eyes
Bakugo was grinning madly at him
And Todoroki just stared at him with some confused shock in his eyes
"Yes, Kirishima?" He tilted his head, raising an eyebrow at his fellow student
"You're actually a pretty scaRaven'se." Kirishima admitted making him chuckle, a grin crossing his face as he put his friend in an Illusion, the face of a Demon suddenly jumping out from Ravens body with a loud 'Boo!'
Despite not seeing just what Taven did, they all decided to collectively ignore Kirshimas less than manly scream
His phone took that moment to buzz, with a blink he looked down at the device, his smirk growing larger as he read the message

This chapter was a pain in the ass, something about it just didn't sit right and no matter how I wrote it, it made me feel uncomfortable.
How am I supposed to write a believable USJ incident when the protagonist can literally just trap them in an Illusion that would have them all passing out. In the I settled for having Raven realised that, just because this is a fantasy world, doesn't mean it isn't reality for him. He got caught up in thinking the world at lathe was just a fictional world with no consequences but the USJ made him realise that if he died here there are no do-overs
Honestly, I felt like he needed that wake-up call, especially since he'll be facing literal Gods soon(ish)
Anyways I enjoyed the last part with Shigaraki, just the idea of having him petrified by his shadows is amazing, especially since all he knows is that Raven makes illusions and nothing else about him
If you came face to face with an illusionist in a fight you'd leave questioning everything after all, because how can you be sure that everything after that point is real?
Anyways I don't think I did this chapter justice so I'll come back to it at a later date and fox it up a lot but for now, this is it

When you go over there you'll notice that some of the choices I was talking about aren't on there, Rising of the Shield Hero, for example, this isn't because he won't be going there but because I don't know enough about the world to do anything with it when I write fanfiction I like knowing everything I possibly can about the series before I do it and I just don't know enough about RotSH to be comfortable writing it
That said the choices I have left up I think are worlds suitable for Raven to go to next, My Hero Academia is his base world since it's training him up, it lets him use his power and get used to it as well as improve himself, however, his next world has to improve Raven in other ways, as such the world's available will allow him to get sued to Kyoka Suigetsu - the sword - more than the power, well three of the five options will
Two of them are just kinda there for fun
