Accelerator was on his way to the convenience store until he stopped and caught a scene of what appears to be a case of bullying. Accelerator being a victim well not helpless kind knows what it's like and has his fair share of encounters with muggers.

Three individuals are ganging up on another student

"-Let me go!" the victim demanded.

"How many lowlifes will be kicked out of the exam?" one of them asked the victim who appears to be the leader of the group.

"The first one will be..." the leader looked like he was gonna gouge out the victim's eye with his bare eyes.

Accelerator intervened by kicking a piece of stone hitting one of the gangs in the legs.

"Who are you?" One of them who is restraining the victim called out to him.

"A bystander should shut it."

"This doesn't involve you. Stay out of it,"

If only Accelerator could use his powers.

"Yeah, so what' Accelerator replied with a bored tone. The leader with shoulder-length magenta hair that is styled on either side and sharp who has a slim and muscular physique and sharp magenta eyes that strike fear onto anyone he meets decided to scare Accelerator with an intimidating glare to his surprise Accelerator as unfazed as he dealt with scarier opponents.

The two continued to stare at each other as if they were waiting for a countdown for a race only difference is that the leader is giving a deathly stare and Accelerator was just looking at him bored and uninterested, waiting for the leader to do something.

It was creating a scene the leader could just threaten Accelerator but he was handicapped so it would cause bigger trouble for both of them. The leader can't find any hint of fear in Accelerator which amused him.

The victim the other two we're restraining got out and was about to charge onto the magenta-haired leader but was stopped by certain pink hair.

"Okay, stop. Stop!" Ichinose called out to the scene.

"Great another one"

Ichinose stood between the victim, Accelerator, the leader, and the other 2 harassers. Trying to stop the brawl peacefully and with a smile.

"Come on, let's go. If we try studying here, we'll catch the stupid going around."

"Yeah."

With those last words, the group left.

"If you're going to study here, please act like adults. Thank you, "Ichinose said to the leaving group.

"Sorry for the disturbance, Everything fine now" Ichinose then turned to bystanders calming them

"Okay"

"Honami, thank you"

She then turned to the victim and Accelerator.

"Don't be a nuisance to others, all right? that's all" Ichinose then left

The victim was sturdy and has a muscular physique with dyed red hair. Then turned to Accelerator.

"Thanks but you don't need to do that"

"I would but you're pathetic I only stopped this because it was sad and loud"

"What did you say to me punk !" The victim angered by Accelerator's words and looked like he was about to attack him.

"Are you sure you want to cause more trouble I mean your attacking a cripple," Accelerator calmly responded as it calmed the redhead.

The redhead's companions arrived and it was now Accelerator's cue to leave.

"Good Job Asahiko, could use a little more work, be a lot more gentle next time ." Ichinose appears to not have left but listened behind.

"Sorry, but being gentle would just make things worse" he replied.

"Oh well, at least it has been resolved say Asahiko wanna have dinner with me I was gonna be on the way to that new restaurant."

"No."

"really are you sure.'

"Yes"

"Please my treat. You can order anything you want "

"Fine,"

"Make sure to tell the others this isn't a date or anything it will cause problems."

"Oh yeah ssusure." she blushed a little.

They arrived at a cafe. The only reason Accelerator agreed is so he can save points since Ichinose offered to treat him. As they found a table he received many stares from students who are obviously jealous about his position he concluded she is really popular. Accelerator gave them a death glare of his own which silenced them.

Since Accelerator is disabled Ichinose offered to buy his food for him. Accelerator ordered a black coffee and a clubhouse sandwich, after that Ichinose went to the cashier to order their food.

At the cashier, Ichinose noticed Accelerator ordered the most expensive ones at the menu to which she laughed at his shamelessness and laziness.

Ichinose arrived at their table, as they both started eating no one has said anything. The accelerator was just eating and Ichinose was waiting for him to say something and trying to think o something to start up a conversation.

"So you really did try to help that boy earlier."

"No, it's just because if I leave and something happens there is a high chance I get called either to be a witness or punished if I don't do something."

"Ehehehehhe come on don't deny it you truly wanted to help don't you." she teased him.

"Nothing to deny you can believe in whatever you want."

Their conversation was interrupted by another classmate who approached them. It was Chihiro and she really looked shocked at the two who are spending time together.

"Oh sorry to interrupt your date." Chihiro politely said but appears to look sad for some reason.

"Oh nononono this is not a date we're just friends," Ichinose said preventing her from getting the wrong idea.

"Not friends just classmates." Accelerator rebutted preventing both of them from getting the wrong idea.

"Oh ehh haahahaha" Chihiro laughed and looks like she was relieved by something very anxious and decided to join them.

"So Asahiko what we're you doing I thought you were not a people person," Chihiro asked Accelerator.

"Being not a people person doesn't mean I would avoid contact with people as if they had a virus and plus she offered to treat me so I accepted," he replied which made Chihiro worried.

"Umm Ichinose are you"

"No it's fine he did help someone ."

"Oh nice job Asahiko, your a good person after all most of our classmates thought that you are between delinquent to anti-social snob." Chihiro pointed out while smiling at Accelerator.

"Tch" He only scoffed at the comment.

The three continued with their chat in the cafe with Chihiro and Ichinose chatting while Accelerator was just watching them talk and eating".

He had not said a word as Chihiro was so focused on Ichinose removing her chance to talk with Accelerator.

It was a few days before the day of the exam. Ichinose and Kanzaki are in charge of study groups and Accelerator just making guides without him being begged by mostly his female classmates to mostly he turned down but that made the girls want him more.

Accelerator figured out he made a deal with Ichinose and Kanzaki he receives peace and privacy and they will receive his cooperation to rise through Class A.

The class has started to get used to him viewing him as the lazy, quiet antisocial genius. but some were persistent who want to get close to Accelerator too close to be exactly. He mostly rudely brushes them off but they come back unless Ichinose is present which is the only reason why he put up with her and their group.

"Alright everyone, do your best for the exams " Ichinose announced to the class which received a positive response mostly from the boys.

"Thank you, Ichinose."

"We love you Ichinose."

"With you, we can make it to Class A."

"I will follow you to Hell Ichinose!"

The whole class supported Ichinose viewing her as a lovable genuine leader. Accelerator laughed mentally at the scene as he concluded Ichinose may be intentionally or unintentionally using her feminine charms on his male classmates to motivate them like children relying on their parents to do everything for them until their gone they are very helpless.

"Guys guys calm down you don't need to praise me I am just doing what's best for this Class " she replied to all the praises.

The day of the exam arrived and of course, Accelerator was the first again to finish, no point in hiding his ability as it will just cause more trouble and suspicion.

He decided to pass some time in the arcade it was convenient that he was the first to finish the arcade was empty and he asked for proof from the teacher supervising him that he was the first just in case people thought he was cutting class to which he showed to the arcade manager and guard.

"Miss may I ask for something."

"Oh my Asahiko right here and now in the middle of the exam right in front of your classmates how bold of you.'

"No woman I want a note or something just in case the other staff might ask me something or might think of something."

"Oh alright sure thing."

"Why am I surrounded with so many weirdos." He thought as continue playing. The game he was playing one of those shooting games, where instead of joysticks and buttons, the remote was a replica of a gun. He was leaning on his crutch for balance and using his other hand to shoot.

This was just an exercise so he doesn't get rusty in the event he has to resort to his firearms it may not be the real thing or a real target practice but it's better than nothing.

He got a perfect score so there was nothing to fear he still has it.

"What are you doing here don't you know it's test day." a student walked up to Accelerator.

"I should be asking you the same thing I finished early." he turned around and the student who approached him was the student council president and was accompanied by what seems to be his assistant.

"Really I am gon-" he was interrupted until Accelerator gave him a note of the teacher giving him a pass.

"Okay, that's it now leave me alone don't you have some paperwork or something." Accelerator replied the next round started.

While Accelerator continued with his game the student council president and his assistance were shocked by his attitude and the fact he finished the test early and just watched him nonchalantly played his game.

"Your free for the day Tachibana it appears it was just a false alarm." the student council president said as he finished inspecting the note given by Accelerator.

"Yes, president." his assistant a girl with purple hair that is tied in two buns with bangs hanging over her eyebrows and peach-brown eyes politely said.

As she was about to leave she was stopped with a grab on the shoulder.

"On the second thought are you free today Akane."

"uwaahh yes of course bbbut." the girl known as Akane Tachibana replied a little flustered.

"Would you mind if we join you." the student council president then offered to join Accelerator with his game which fortunately and unfortunately can support three players.

"What -" Both Akane and Accelerator we're confused about the student council president's odd request.

"Not that I care or anything but don't you have anything else better to do," Accelerator asked.

"No no, plus it won't mind if someone who represents the whole school decides to interact with his underclassmen is there a problem?" for someone who wants to join a game the president showed a serious face.

"Fine whatever." Accelerator said.

The next round was about to start and the two joined in. The situation was strange Accelerator can see in the president's face that he was not the kind to be into these types of recreational activities in fact he viewed him as someone who makes their academic achievements defines them and their identity.

Accelerator knows the president isn't here to play for fun. During the game, he felt as he was being observed like a scientist studying animal behavior.

"So Asahiko you aced the first exam and the first that's impressive," the president asked in the middle of the game with a serious face confirming Accelerator's suspicion and he was having none of it.

"If you want to ask me something then ask me straight no need to turn this into a vague interrogation or a mind game."

"Very well then." the president placed down the remote gun and faced Accelerator.

"In case you forgot I am student council president Manabu Horikita and I am interested in you."

"So what are you a stalker, do you plan to use me for something, or do you have some weird hobby of reading private files." Accelerator said while not even looking at him but continued to play now solo as Manabu and Akane both stopped after Accelerator's statement.

"Don't take it like that it's my responsibility but you, you have an interesting file your entrance exams are average yet your ability contradicts and there is also the fact you finished first in your exams, then there is also your personality."

"So what then so what if I am different from those monkeys, don't you have something else better to do."

"True but I heard many things about yo-" he was then cut off by Accelerator.

"What is it do you want really."

"I just want to get to know you more is it really that bad for an upperclassman and an underclassman to socialize."

"tch, fine" Accelerator knows he wants something, or is he barely just observing him. He thought as he continued to play.

The round ended as the three returned the remote, the tickets came out and Accelerator offered it to them but they denied well except for Akane so she and Accelerator split their tickets from the round.

"Also if your interested the student council has open slots despite your personality it could use someone with your ability."

"Nah too much work," he said as he walked to the ticket counter and exchanged it for coffee.

He then left the two as he heads back to the dorm.

"So what do you think about him Akane." Horikita Manabu asked his assistance after Accelerator left.

"Well, he is strange and also impressive being the first to finish an exam but he may just guess the whole thing, there is also his look, May I ask if I may?."

"Go ahead."

"Why are you so interested in him."

"Nothing he just caught my eye., I wonder why was he placed in Class B, also I think he might be the student who is from Academy City "

"So Accelerator how are you doing there have you made some friends or perhaps a girlfriend.?" Yomikawa asked him on the phone.

"Are you stupid or something why would I do that."

"Great and I thought it was a huge opportunity for you to go there."

"You know the only reason I agreed to this retarded program is so they can upgrade my electrode and I get paid."

"Sure so are you really fitting in."

"Do I look like the type of person to fit in?"

"Of course you would, knowing you probably scared them off ."

"That's the smartest thing you said in this entire conversation."

"Your really hopeless aren't you anyway Last Order want's to talk."

"Hi how are you asks Misaka Misaka checks up on you,"

"I am doing fine."

"Are you sure Misaka as Misaka asks thinking you might be lying?"

"It's not that different when I was there with all of you."

"Have you made any friends says Misaka as Misaka hopes of you getting out of your shell."

"No why would I do that?"

After the cute banter reached Last Order's bedtime he hung up on Yomikawa who won't stop meddling and asking him stupid questions.

The next day of the exam and again Accelerator finished first to which his classmates still have not gotten used to and could sense them praying he failed.

He then decided to relax in the park after buying some coffee. he lay down to finally relax in attacks from random thugs or robots, no challenges just pure tranquility.

This is one of the times rare times Accelerator genuinely smiled with happiness not from confidence or from sadistically defeating an enemy just a pure smile like a child having fun.

It was a good thing there were no students yet as even if he was not the first they would probably hang out somewhere else.

After time passed he checked the time on his phone and learned this is the time where most students are finished so he then decided to go to the bookstore since he finished most of his manga that he borrowed from the library

"Yo Asahiko how's it going." he was called out by one of his classmates.

"Can't you see I am browsing Shibata is it?"

"Nice you remembered it, anyway what's between you and Ichinose you two are starting to get close."

"No, we're not."

"Are you sure." Shibata nudged him but failed as Accelerator showed no signs of being flustered.

"If you want her, go for it, I am not interested she is probably just pointlessly trying to make friends for the betterment of the class."

"Oh, I won't budge your call, anyway so you like manga huh."

"Yeah."

"Oh, really what genre."

Accelerator was starting to get annoyed by his classmate trying to make small talk with him but can't make him go away. But for some reason, he felt he was unconsciously enjoying it a little having a normal conversation with another boy at his age talking about normal stuff but to which he denied it. After browsing the store none caught his eye as most of them he already read before.

"Alright see ya back at class," he said as the two parted ways.

"Tch people are such a pain," he said mentally as continue to walk now bored with what to do.

Deep in his thoughts he accidentally bumped into someone.

They both fell on the floor and their canes crashed it seems they were both disabled.

Accelerator got up first as he grabbed his cane and offered to help the person he bumped to which is a petite female student with lilac-colored hair and violet eyes wearing a black beret.

"Sorry about that I would help but I am also a cripple." He said as he refused to help as the girl he bumped into has a companion. Her companion another female student who has thigh-length purple hair that is tied in a long ponytail on the right side with bangs swept to the right side and purple eyes.

"What the hell is wrong with you." her companion glared at Accelerator but his face showed no regret or empathy despite his words.

"I said sorry as I said I also have a condition." he pointed out as he thumped his cane.

"Next time watch where you going ." She spat with hostility as she proceeds to help her fallen companion.

"Alright sorry," he said to which he turned away leaving the two.

"Are you alright?" The girl asked her companion.

"Do you want me to do something about him for his rude behavior?"

"No need Masumi it was an accident and he also has a disability no need to make this big."

"Fufufufu I can tell from his eyes he is somewhat an interesting person, my this will certainly be an interesting school year."
