Chapter 7
Girl's Day Out
For the next several days, Felicia and Arisa would head to the beach after school to train for the Sports Festival. They would train with each other, and sometimes with Midoriya whenever he came over. Most days after training the girls would head back to the Emerald Shade because they were too tired to go anywhere else.
On the way back to the Emerald Shade, Arisa and Felicia heard the text alerts on their cell phones. They got a text message from Usagi, who made it a group chat with the other girls from Class 1-L.
"It looks like Usagi is asking if we would all like to hang out tomorrow at the Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall," Arisa read the text aloud.
"Do you think we should agree to it?" Felicia asked.
"Well, we have been training hard for a while now. Maybe one day off would be good for us," Arisa reasoned.
"Alright then, let's do it," Felicia agreed.
Both girls texted that they would like to hang out together. The other girls replied that they would also like to hang out. Usagi texted everyone to meet up at the Tatooin Station at 11:00 A.M.
The next day, Arisa and Felicia woke up, had breakfast, and changed into casual clothes. Once they met up in the hallway, Felicia guided Arisa to the Tatooin Station because she's been there before. The train station was busy and crowded today, with many people getting on and off the train. After a bit of searching, Felicia and Arisa found their female classmates in a group.
"Hey girls!" Usagi exclaimed as she spotted the exchange students.
"Hello," Makoto greeted.
"Hi," Miru said.
"Zzzzzz..." Junko snored as leaned next to Makoto.
"Good morning," Arisa replied.
"Greetings," Felicia responded politely.
"I'm so glad you all could make it here! This is going to be an awesome day! Just us gal pals hanging out together!" Usagi jumped in joy.
The other girls sweat-dropped with how enthusiastic Usagi is acting. Soon she took out her phone to take a selfie with them, and most of them smiled for it. After that, the girls got on the train to head to their destination.
The girls got off the train when it arrived at the Kiyashi Ward Train Station and walked a bit before arriving at the Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall.
"Awesome!" Usagi exclaimed.
"Wow," Miru stated.
"Cool," Makoto said.
"Amazing," Arisa responded.
"Lovely," Felicia replied.
"Zzzzz..." Junko snored.
The girls were awestruck by the wonderful sight of the huge shopping mall.
"Well girls, let's have some fun!" Usagi exclaimed.
"Yeah!" the other girls agreed, except Junko who kept sleeping.
-My Hero Academia-
First, the girls decided to relax at the spa. Some of them knew what they wanted to get, but some hesitated a bit on what to pick. After some talking, they agreed to get a manicure, pedicure, and massage together. The girls felt so relaxed and relieved from the hard training they've been doing because of the treatment. Though it was hard to tell if Junko was enjoying it.
Next, the girls went to a store that sells both clothes and costumes. They were amazed by the types of clothes and costumes that were on display. Usagi asked the girls if they wanted to try on some of the costumes for fun, and they agreed to it. The girls took their time to pick out their costumes. Miru used her Quirk to read Junko's mind so she can get her sleeping classmate's costume for her.
The group gathered at the block of dressing rooms once they chose their costumes. One of them would change in the dressing room while the others would judge if the costume suited that person or not.
Usagi came out wearing a kunoichi costume and did some quick kicks and punches. The girls nodded in agreement that the outfit suited her because of her Quirk.
Makoto came out dressed a hot pirate. The girls stated she looked nice, and the outfit suited her because of the eye-patch she usually wears.
Miru came out dressed as a punk rocker girl. The girls weren't surprised by her choice because it wasn't different from how she usually looks like, but they said she looked great.
Arisa came out dressed as a Hollywood movie star, wearing a blue dress, white boa, and black sunglasses. The girls were amazed that the outfit looked great on her.
Felicia came out wearing a long-sleeved pink and white princess dress and yellow crown. The girls were stunned that the outfit really suited her.
Junko came out, with help from Makoto, dressed in a cute giant white bear costume. The girls awed that the costume looked so cute on her.
Usagi then took a quick selfie with everyone in their costumes, and the girls posed for it. After that, the girls changed out of the costumes to change back to their casual clothes and left the store.
Finally, the girls got hungry from all the walking they did so they went to a restaurant to get an early dinner. They really enjoyed the food, especially since they were eating it together. Once they finished eating, Usagi suggested if they could go to the UA High schoolyard as the final place for the day. The suggestion surprised the girls, but they agreed to it anyway.
After the train ride home, the girls walked to the U.A. High schoolyard to relax.
"Say, what are your reasons for the Sports Festival, guys?" Usagi asked the girls out of nowhere.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Miru asked.
"I mean, like your reason for being in the Sports Festival," Usagi explained.
"Well, the Sports Festival is made for students to impress potential Pro Heroes. It is a big opportunity to show off what we're made of," Makoto said. "I mean, at least that is why I am joining the festival."
"Same here," Miru stated.
Everyone had the same thought, but Usagi had a different thought.
"Well, that's true, but actually I have a bigger reason why I want to be in the festival," Usagi said.
"What is it, Usagi?" Arisa asked.
"You all know how the Sports Festival will be broadcasted on live TV, right?" Usagi said as the girls nodded in response because they knew. "Well, since a lot of people will be watching it, I am just wondering if it may be possible that my mom will watch it too."
The girls looked at each other for a moment and then laughed.
"Hey, what's so funny?" Usagi asked, getting a bit flustered or upset.
"Oh nothing, Usagi. It's just that I thought you would say something very ... well, important," Felicia chuckled.
"It's not that we're laughing at you, Usagi. We just thought we expected you to say something else," Arisa reasoned.
"Oh, OK. The truth is I ... I am an orphan."
The girls stopped laughing when Usagi said it.
"You see, I really don't know or remember much about my mother because she left me at this church when I was just a baby, but Sister Koko took me in, and she's been taking care of me since then. I appreciate what she did for me, and I have a lot of friends at the orphanage, but I also want to look for my mom, so I thought that the Sports Festival is the best chance for me! If I win the festival, maybe she will notice me!" Usagi explained, with a bit of excitement at the end.
The other girls looked solemn, but they all smiled.
"Well, I think that is a great reason, Usagi," Arisa said.
"Yes, indeed. I 100% support your reason, " Felicia added.
"I can tell that your mind is made up, and I don't need to read your mind to know that." Miru noted.
"You can do it, Usagi," Makoto said. "And I am sure Junko-san would agree too ... If she were awake, that is."
"Zzzzzz..." Junko snoozed peacefully.
"Oh, I am sure she can hear what we're saying, but thank you so much, you guys!" Usagi said as she smiled at them all.
Usagi thanked the girls for agreeing to hang out today. Then they went home to rest from the exciting day they just had. At the Emerald Shade, Felicia and Arisa thought about how Usagi has a touching reason for wanting to achieve victory. However, that won't stop them from training hard to do well in the Sports Festival.
