Devil May Cry Olympus Titans Curse
ESKK: Well 7th Chapter let's get rolling.
(Start Quest Group in the Van)
Evan, Grover, Zoe, Calisto, Patty, Zoe, Thalia, and Bianca were being driven into the city by Argus. For a guy with eyeballs all over his body Evan and Calisto both noted he was a pretty ok fellow. After they got to the city Zoe took over for the driving and thus here they were on the road going west for Artemis. The group was heading west to hopefully locate Artemis and seeing as Evan and Calisto were a pair of the best trackers they were the groups improve guide.
As they were driving Evan was trying to take a nap as so far danger had yet to hit them. But he also forgot to factor in the annoyance of sitting in a car with others for who knows how long. "Ugh, I'm hungry…" Grover moaned as the van drove west towards their destination. Evan opened his eyes a bit with his left eye twitching in annoyance.
"You didn't eat before we left, did you?" Calisto asked with a tired sigh showing she had reminded everyone to eat before leaving.
"No," Grover replied sheepishly to which Patty and Kat nodded to this.
"Good thing I packed us some snacks before we left." Kat said as she opened her bag to grab one of the snacks.
"No Kat." Evan spoke up as he looked to the Daughter of Aphrodite. "We only just left we need to make this stuff last us for as long as possible." Evan said as he looked to the girl.
"Oh come on Evan." Grover said and thus Evan moaned in frustration.
"Hey I didn't eat breakfast either and you don't hear me complaining." Evan said only for his stomach to growl getting everyone's attention on him. "That proves nothing." Evan defended as he still wasn't complaining about being hungry right now.
"Well maybe some people shouldn't have taken their sweet ass time getting ready." Thalia said accusingly from her spot next to Evan.
"And I'm telling you, it wasn't our fault," Zoe argued back. "It was thy campers' fault for that silly prank on Phoebe. Now we lost our best tracker!" Zoe defended and thus the Twins looked offended by this.
"What are we chopped liver?" Calisto asked as she and Evan were damn well good at tracking as any other member of the hunt.
"Come guys, this isn't the time to argue about that," Bianca pleaded trying to keep Thalia, Zoe, and her Umbra Sister Calisto from murdering each other.
"Fine," The two arguing females relented and thus peace returned.
Just then Zoe began to take note of something and thus sighed to this. "It is thy luck day, boys," Zoe said sounding not too pleased about this.
"What is it this time?" Evan asked as he didn't need another annoyance for them.
"The van's tank is already running on empty," Zoe explained as the group saw the Gas Gauge from vary vantage spots. "We can stop for breakfast, but that shall be our only stop, got it?" Zoe said and thus Evan didn't like that.
"How about lunch? Don't tell me you're going to skip lunch?" Evan asked as Breakfast was all good but they needed energy to get them through the day.
"Or dinner," Grover added as he didn't think the snacks Kat brought would last them.
"You two boys are always hungry, aren't you?" Bianca asked almost sounding like she was teasing.
Grover's ears turned pink, and the blonde rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. Just then, a low quiet grumble came from Zoe's stomach. Everyone smirked at Zoe who was now sporting her own embarrassed blush.
"Someone's hungry too," Thalia teased as she looked to Zoe.
"Yeah I can see that." Calisto added noting the blush on Zoe's face.
"Fine, we can stop for breaks," Zoe said trying to save face but Evan smirked to this.
"Great now this is a proper road trip." Evan said to which Zoe looked ready to scold Evan for that one.
"Evan Sparda Redgrave this is not a fun seeking 'road trip,' this is an important quest to rescue the lady Artemis who might I remind you is your mother and." Zoe began and thus Calisto sighed.
"Save your breath he stopped listening after Redgrave." Calisto said as Evan was currently reading a comic book he brought with to keep himself entertained between their stops.
"Why do I even bother?" Zoe asked wondering why her lady would task her to watch over the twins should something occur to their father.
(Later at a Gas Station)
It was still fairly early in the morning, so they were able to travel quite a way away thanks to the absence of traffic at this time of day. Upon finding a gas station, Zoe pulled up in front of a pump and everyone unloaded out of the van. Fortunately for them, there was a fast food right beside them. It had a logo of two golden arches placed side by side so they formed a letter M. "Hey a McDonalds." Evan said as he dug into his pocket and handed the Grover a platinum-colored card with a lotus logo on the front and Evan's name on it. "It's on me guys." Evan said as he smiled to his friends.
"That looks familiar somehow," Bianca said noticing the card he was giving Grover.
"Didn't you keep yours?" Evan asked with a smirk on his face. "This is how it looks like when you bring it out of the hotel." He added but there was more. "Plus remember that Demon Lilith?" Evan asked to which Calisto nodded.
"Oh yeah after we took them out those Lotus folks tracked us down and gave us these cards for any expenses that may come up for us, a thank you for freeing them." Calisto said as she kept her own Lotus card as well.
Grover looked at the trio oddly then to the piece of plastic he was handed and the color drained from his face, "Y-you kept this? Why didn't you throw it away?" Grover asked as he looked to the card Evan gave him.
Evan waved off his concern, "Why? Who am I to refuse free money?" Evan said as it was a reward after all.
"B-b-but…" Grover said but Calisto cut him off.
"Come on, relax. Nothing will happen. I'm still alive right?" Calisto said as she patted the Satyr on his shoulder. "Now, go buy us girls some food and I'll catch up with ya!" Calisto said with a smirk on her face.
Grover gave the twins one more questioning look and nodded his head. "Fine…if you say, so…" Grover said and in turn he began to head to get their food.
"What will you do?" Thalia asked as she looked to Evan.
"Fill up the tank." Evan said with a smirk on his face. In turn Evan was left by his lonesome as the Tri-Breed whistled a tune from one of his favorite rock bands while filling the tank. He wanted to have some earbuds in his ear so bad, but you know what happens with demigods and technology. It's not that he couldn't handle an attack. It's just that he was almost never on his own and he never wanted to attract unnecessary attention especially when quests if you catch my drift.
Anyway, standing in the shadows was a shady character who had been watching the group ever since they dismounted their vehicle. The character nodded to someone else hiding and went out.
He walked over to the blonde clutching a switchblade in his pocket, "You there. Don't get any ideas. Just give me all your money and I'll be on my way." The man said as he looked ready to slice up the Tri-Breed and let him bleed out on the ground.
Evan of course ignored the guy and continued whistling to the tune while tapping his food. He was actually hoping for some action so he was going to egg this guy on for a bit. The mugger clicked his tongue when he noticed the Bleach head ignoring him. "Hey you. I'm talking to you!" The man called out but alas Evan was still ignoring the guy while he filled the van's tank for their journey. "HEY!" The man raised his voice and thus Evan decided to throw him a bone.
"Yeah I heard you problem is I'm filling up the tank so do me a favor and wait your turn." Evan said not even bothering with this guy which served t anger him.
The shady character grit his teeth. "Just give me all your money, so I can gut you and leave." The man said and thus Evan rubbed his eyes in frustration to this.
"Dude you seriously think I'm scared of you and the Switch Blade your hiding in your pocket." Evan said as he looked to the man.
The man was surprised that Evan was aware of the knife he had. He then growled and pulled it out and pointed it at Evan. "Any last words before I cut you to pieces?" The man asked and thus found Jekyll pointed at his face via Evan.
"Depends how much time you got left?" Evan asked while he smirked against his poor excuse of a mugger. What was worse the mugger saw that the gun was loaded and whatever was in the barrel was clearly going to blow his brains across the pavement.
In fear the man raised his hands and dropped his knife afraid of his own life. All Evan had to do was pull the trigger and boom light out permanently. "Let go of me, please! I'll do anything! I-I'll give you anything." The thug pleaded as Evan looked to him.
"Huh maybe you should have thought of that before trying to mug me." Evan said as he glared at the man. "See I should be eating breakfast right now not dealing with you shit stains." Evan said and in turn the Thug had to use plan b.
"Bob, help me!" The thug called out and in turn someone came out of the shadows and tried to sneak up on Evan.
Alas it was for nothing as Evan then busted out Hyde and pointed it at Bob surprising him. Bob seeing the gun raised his hands surprised Evan was packing two guns instead of one. "Nice idea Bob too bad you didn't properly see if the prey was worth the effort." Evan said as he glared at the two thugs on either side.
Evan then proceeded to pistol whip the first thug knocking him out before pointing both guns at Bob. "Now Bobby here's how this is going to work, you want to live?" Evan asked as he glared at Bob who now had both guns pointed at him. Bob nodded and thus Evan smirked to him. "Then here's the offer take your friend and beat it." Evan said as he then pulled the hammer of Jekyll and Hyde. "Otherwise you'll be vomiting, shitting, and possibly pissing lead, caprice?" Evan asked as Bob nodded and thus looked ready to bolt. "Good now go." Evan said and in turn Bob went to grab his friend and proceeded to run.
Once that was done Evan did a gun twirl for both Jekyll and Hyde and holstered the guns in question. Once it was done he sighed and stretched a bit. "Well that was totally random." Evan said showing he wasn't at all bothered by it. "Let's finish here and get me some breakfast." Evan said as he was itching for a nice meal right now.
(Later inside the McDonalds)
The group was sitting at a table munching on some food they have bought. No one said a word as they ate since Thalia and Zoe were at odds, while Bianca and Grover didn't want to say anything for fear of saying anything that would cause a fight.
Eventually, they got tired of the silence and Grover began to break the ice. "Uh it's a good thing they sell these veggie burgers, huh?" Grover said hoping to relieve the tension.
"You don't like meat?" Bianca asked as she looked to the Satyr.
Grover shook his head. "It doesn't feel right to eat my fellow animals." Grover said and in turn Calisto laughed to this.
"Even though animals in the wild do it all the time?" Calisto joked and thus Kat and Patty heard this.
"Calisto!" Patty scolded as Calisto shrugged her arms showing that she didn't care since she wasn't exactly wrong on that thought.
"So, Grover, we should start with your tracking song before we go." Thalia suggested as she wanted to get on with finding Artemis location.
"How sure are thee that thy song would find Artemis?" Zoe asked as clearly she was skeptical about the Satyr's tracking abilities.
"I-It works!" Grover protested as he bit through the wrapper along with his burger.
"Lay of Grover, will ya?" Thalia challenged as she glared at Zoe.
"I am just making sure we have we need to find our goddess," Zoe reasoned as she wanted this done right. "Remember it was thy campers who took out our best tracker." Zoe accused and in turn Calisto just sat back and watched.
"Well, if you weren't so stuck up all the time, then maybe we could have gotten along," Thalia countered as she glared at Zoe. "And for the last time, it's your and you, not thy, thou, or thee. This is not the 1500s." Thalia growled pointing an accusing finger at Zoe.
"Come to think of it? Why do you sound like you're from the 1550s?" Bianca chimed in as she was curious about this herself.
"I-I don't like talking about my past," Zoe muttered opting to avoid that topic. "But that is not important right now. We have a mission to look for my goddess. If that tracking song of yours does not work, then—" Zoe began until a new voice cut it.
"Then you got me and Calisto." Evan said as he walked in with a tray of his own food ready to eat.
"Lady Artemis' children." Zoe said as she looked to the young twin Tri-Breeds in question.
"Of course!" Grover began as Evan joined the table. "Evan and Calisto are expert hunters of Demons, Angels, and just about anything that wants a shot at their heads." Grover said and had more to add. "Plus Calisto has the Left Eye of Darkness one of the Eyes that shapes reality itself." Grover said as he looked to the twins.
"Please your making me blush." Calisto said soaking up the words of praise for herself.
"And why should we put our faith in a mere boy. Young Calisto I Can understand why you?" Zoe asked as she looked to Evan.
"What all the time we fought together these past few months mean nothing?" Evan asked as he glared at Zoe ready to throw down should it come down to it.
"He's not just a mere boy, he's different!" Thalia countered as she glared at Zoe.
"Oh, how far have thee fallen," Zoe shook her head. "No wonder you refuse to join us…" Zoe began and thus Calisto was surprised by this.
"Wait back up, Thalia was almost a hunter?" Calisto asked shocked to hear this.
"I told you! Back then I had to look after Annabeth and the others!" Thalia defended herself as she glared at Zoe for all this. "You know it pisses me off that despite all Evan has done with the hunt you still can't just accept him and let it be!" Thalia said as she glared at Zoe in pure contempt. "What does he have to die for him to earn that respect?" Thalia asked and in turn Evan spoke up.
"Ok that's enough arguing people." Evan said as he had almost finished with his food. "Let's take some middle ground here and put aside our differences till this quest is done once that's handle then we can take the time to bash each other's heads in." Evan said and despite his poor wording he was right they had a job that needed to get done. "So can we all agree on a Truce?" Evan asked as he looked to the two girls who had bones to pick with each other.
In turn Thalia sighed and thus turned to Zoe. "He's right… so truce?" Thalia asked and thus Zoe let it be and agreed.
"Very well Truce." Zoe agreed and thus it was all handled.
"Now then since this is settled." Calisto spoke up getting everyone's attention. "I'll be scoring myself an ice cream." Calisto said and even though it wasn't a strawberry sundae she would make do with this form.
"Now if only there was a pizza joint here." Evan said showing he'd rather be enjoying some much needed pizza.
"I swear you two need to eat healthier." Patty said worried for the twin's health.
"Hey in our line of work we need all the calories we can get in." Evan defended showing that they did in fact need it.
"Hey not to be a nay say but can you also hold off on the man hating bit too?" Patty asked while Kat nodded in agreement with the Lowell Alchemist.
"Fine, but just for the half-bloods on this quest," Zoe relented and thus Evan smirked to this.
"Thank you." Evan said showing he was finally glad to be freed from Zoe's evil eye on him.
(Meanwhile back over with Dante)
Dante was driving down the road to his intended destination as he was clearly on a mission now. That mission was to try and save Artemis and despite being willing to do it free of charge Apollo was reasonable with the money he was offering. Long story short Apollo was offering some big bucks to save the Goddess of Hunters. While driving Dante had a small hope that his kids were doing ok but he wasn't too worried about them. After all they all trained the twins personally to make sure they can take on whatever Inferno throws at them.
Still as they drove Dante mind drifted to Vergil and in turn Evelyn. It wasn't hard to tell that Evelyn was Vergil's as he wondered just what his brother did to nail a fricking Titan. Furthermore Dante even wondered if Vergil was some sort of player as it was clear that Nero and Evelyn were half-siblings. If they were full siblings he honestly doubt the kid would have let the girl by her daddy issued lonesome in the world. Still that's not to say he didn't care and miss his twin brother despite their differences.
Dante wondered just why their lives were so messed up but it couldn't really be helped for the children of Sparda. Conflict was built into them and do to their demons blood Dante and Vergil's disagreement had made a sort of bitter rivalry between them. It didn't help that it was as Lady had once said that the two derived a sort of pleasure from their brotherly fighting. The fact that they were both of their father's Sparda's own bloodline didn't help matters one bit. Still that wasn't to say Dante wasn't fiercely worried for the kids at the moment.
Anyway Apollo had given him somewhat of a lead on finding the missing goddess Artemis. That lead was taking him to Washington DC and thus here he was on the road. Dante had also keep Lady and Trish updated on current affairs as with Bayonetta and Jeanne at the moment. The Son of Sparda was confident he could handle things on his own but this was on Apollo's urging. Plus the fact he already told them himself didn't help matters. More so with Lucia working at Camp Half-Blood this meant if Apollo didn't do it Lucia would do it herself.
Still Dante was in the know of things a lot and he knew that recently Calisto had lost control of one of her summoning's recently. Bayonetta had told her what happened as did Artemis after the fact and needless to say that Dante was worried. The Witches he knew told him that the balance of power between the Trinity had shifted which was why Calisto lost control of the demon. What made it worse was that Zeus was about ready to go to war against Inferno as what he perceived as a declaration of war. Paranoid and a man-whore two phrases that describes Zeus perfectly.
The only reason Zeus hasn't gone after Dante yet is because he was scared Dante would pull a Kratos on him and the other Olympians. Still… something was going on and it wasn't just Paradiso either something in Inferno was stirring. What made it more worrisome was that Dante felt that he may have faced it in the past somehow. Dante was truly hoping he wasn't becoming his own father with leaving messes for his kids to clean up after.
(Scene Break Washington DC)
After Grover had performed the tracking song needless to say they took an odd direction. Now they were supposed to go west from where they were but they ended up going south to DC. One may wonder why the path would lead them there but it was the only lead they had. Zoe gave Grover a questioning look, but she gave the goat boy the benefit of the doubt in accordance to hers and Thalia's agreement.
Of course after they had arrived in the Nation's Capital the group ended up at a dead end and in turn the group was left at a lost. Thus right now they were outside a coffee shop discussing their next move and their next order of business on finding out what they needed to do. "Ok I'm going to be honest from my experience alone there are monsters around almost every corner." Evan began as he got everyone's attention. "In fact we can all attest to that." Evan added knowing full well how things are in their way of life.
"Ok bro your point?" Calisto asked as she looked to Evan.
"Ok here me out whether it is Hellhounds, Cyclops, Telekhines, whichever, normally the monsters find us, maybe we should reverse the roles a little." He said as everyone looked at him funny and thus Zoe saw where Evan was going with this as did Calisto.
"Bro we're Devil Hunters, Angels Slayers, and on rare occasions Zombie Slayers." Calisto said with a huge grin on her face while also surprising the group when she mentioned hunting Zombies of all things. "They don't come to us unless we're calling them out in our own way." Calisto said as she was referring to the times she dressed as a nun to call them out. But judging by that very same Grin this was where the twins were strongest and that was without Zoe and Bianca.
"Kronos's army is gathering and monsters from all over the American continent is gathering and a lot of them were heading to New York right since it's where Olympus is." Evan said to which the group nodded as they began to see where he was going with this.
"Correct, the Hunters have had skirmishes almost nonstop for the last few months." Zoe explained to which was very much true.
"Yeah we've crossed paths with several of them in fact." Bianca added before Calisto spoke up next.
"And that was without factoring the Demons and Angels acting up all over the place." Calisto added as Evan then cut in to explain his plan.
"Right which means all monsters around here must be aware by now that the goddess that hunts them has been captured and has been rendered useless." Evan said as he didn't like that fact but they might be able to turn a disadvantage into a win. "So if we capture one alive and poke it around for information." Evan said and in turn the group saw where he was going with this plan.
"Then we might be able to find out the location of Artemis as well as get a better sense of a location to where she is," Thalia added as realization dawned on them all thanks to Evan's ingenious plan.
"That's makes sense." Grover said while Zoe looked at Evan honestly impressed that Mr. Bang, Bang Slash had an idea like that.
"And since Calisto, Bianca, and I have been hanging around the Hunters for a while we more or less know how to draw them out." Evan said and in turn looked to Zoe. "And since we have a hunter with us who probably knows a thing or two about how to torture monsters and people." He added as he trailed off but everyone got the gist of what he was saying while Evan was looking at Zoe who nodded back at him.
"Find me a monster to interrogate and I will get the answers that we need." Zoe said as everyone nodded knowing they had an idea to use now.
"So shall we?" Evan asked and thus Calisto smirked t her brother.
"After you bro-bro." Calisto said and in turn the two headed off as already they have a scent to rack.
"Wait!" Zoe called out as she and Bianca then gave chase.
"We'll be right back!" Bianca called out leaving Grover, Patty, and Kat there.
"Did… we just get relegated to back-up?" Kat asked as she looked to Grover and Patty with some confusion.
"Seems that way." Patty said with a shrug in response to what had occurred here.
(Scene Break Museum of Natural History)
After they had successfully caught a monster, a Cyclops, they interrogated information out of it thanks to a combination of Calisto's torture attacks and Zoe's methods. They were told of something happening at the Smithsonian museum, the quest had arrived at the biggest museum in the world. And now they were here in one of the few places Evan absolutely HATED going to above everything. The van pulled up next to a museum and to make matters worse for Evan it was the Museum of Natural History. Evan saw the Museum and then moaned in frustration at seeing this while sitting on his chair.
"Ah well if it isn't Even's oldest enemy… education." Calisto taunted as Patty and the Witch had in turn shared a laugh with each other at Evan's own expense.
"Only this time no punks for me to beat up." Evan said as he hated coming to places like this. After all being the biggest and toughest fighter in Yancy made these things enjoyable for himself because everyone wanted a piece of him. His only hope to end this upcoming boredom was demons to attack them. Being a Sparda though it was a given that they will be attacked at some point by the demons.
"Don't worry I'm sure we'll make it through this." Kat said showing she had faith they'll make it out of this safely.
"Yeah great." Evan said as he looked away. But when he did Evan saw the air shimmer and in turn knew who just arrived. 'About time Percy.' Evan thought as this wasn't going to be a total blow after all.
"Are you sure this is the right place?" Thalia asked as she was a bit concerned about being here. "We've gone a long way away from what the prophecy said." Thalia said and in turn Bianca had to agree. Grover of course nodded in response to Thalia but Bianca wasn't convinced on this.
"And the acorns told you to come here?" Bianca asked as she was worried they may have been led astray from Artemis.
"Hey, I'll have you know that this is a time-honored skill! I know I did it right!" Grover explained and in turn saw they weren't buying it 100%. "Guys you have to believe me! I felt nature tell me to go there." Grover said and in turn Thalia had to ask.
"How sure are you about this?" Thalia asked as she needed to be sure.
"Ninety-nine percent," Grover said but then paused before he fixed himself. "No, maybe eighty-five." Grover corrected and in turn Evan and Calisto had enough.
"Well good enough for me." Calisto said ready to move out.
"Let's look for some clues." Evan said and in turn Zoe had to agree no doubt the twins sensed it as well.
"We will have to make do," Zoe spoke up as she went with the Twins. "I feel traces of my lady's essence lingering in the air. Let us just look around for clues as the boy… as Evan suggested." Zoe said and in turn Evan smirked to this only for Zoe to glare at him.
"Geez what is her malfunction one minute she tolerates me the next she hates my guts." Evan said as he was clearly not understanding Zoe in the slightest. As they made their way in Evan took note of a sign as did Calisto and both saw it read as 'Private Event.' They made sure to keep an eye on it and thus continued on in case they were walking into a trap.
But as they passed the sign Kat stopped and looked at it as she felt an odd sensation coming from it. Seeing this Patty looked concerned and walked over to the daughter of Aphrodite. "Kat?" She began but had gotten no response from the girl. "Kat are you ok?" Patty asked as she saw Kat wasn't acting like herself there.
When Patty put a hand on Kat's shoulder the girl finally got the medium's attention once more. "Oh um yeah." Kat began as her eyes began to focus once more. "I just felt… this sensation coming from there." Kat said as she wondered what it was.
"Should we look into it?" Patty asked as she looked worried for the girl.
"Later if we have time." Kat said as she felt the pull but she also felt great danger if they went down that particular path. Thus with a nod Patty and Kat walked off to regroup with the rest of their Quest group in the search for clues on Artemis.
For Evan something felt off. He couldn't put his finger on it but whatever it was… it felt oddly familiar. But the last time he felt this feeling this pull was with… Evelyn. But that wasn't possible no one ever comes back from Tartarus at least that is what is said. But time and time again foes have come back from what should be death and even Tartarus. His mother's old foes seem to pop up every now and again hunting him and Calisto down only to be filled with swords and bullets. Demons his father and grandfather took out seem to revive as well all with a grudge against the Sparda lineage. Plus to top it all off that huge ass prophesy hanging over his and Calisto's head.
With Evelyn out of the picture that only left himself and Calisto as the only viable options for that prophesy. And mind you that was only from the Olympian aspect of things. There was no telling how many other mix breeds of mood gods and demons were out there in the world.

ESKK: Well here we go the end of the chapter. I ended up making it a filler when it started to get to long with the upcoming boss fights. But don't worry guys we will get to the good stuff. Also I wanted to hold off on a few things for a bit since it seems like some reunions need to wait at least One More Chapter.
