They all enter the monastery through a dark corridor. The clones activate torches on the blasters to see better "I don't like this place. Gives me the creeps" Fang said. The silver robot walks out from a door in front of them, Shadow ignites his lightsaber "Who are you?". The robot approaches them "I am Bocoe. The humble caretaker, O mighty sir. You have liberated me from those dreadful badniks. I am most thankful". Shadow turns his lightsaber off "Where is the ox?" "The badniks kept their prisoners on the detention level. I must warn you it is very dangerous down there, my friend. Not a place for a servant girl" he looked to Amy. She looked angry and ignited her lightsaber "Do servant girls carry these? I'm a Shinobi Knight". Shadow crossed his arms and stared disapprovingly causing her to switch her lightsaber off "Or soon will be". Shadow looked to Fang "Captain, we'll get the ox. Stay here and keep your eyes open" "Copy that, sir". Elsewhere Lien-Da enters a room full of Omegas, she talks to a hologram of Dimitri "They have taken the monastery, Master. Shadow is here. He's on his way to rescue the ox" "Well done, Lien-Da. All is going according to plan". Lien-Da looked impatient "I could easily kill them now" "Patience. Collect the data I need. You will get your chance at revenge soon enough".
Shadow and Amy were walking through the dungeon, every time they passed a cell a few badniks exited and started following them which Amy noticed. "Master, you know we're walking into a trap?" "I know" Shadow replied calmly. "We just passed to more badniks. Can I just take care of them?" "Oh, well, if you feel so strongly about it, go ahead". Amy excitedly turned around lightsaber ignited and quickly took them out. Shadow nodded in approval "Not bad" he ignited his own lightsaber and took out a badnik in the door next to him "But you missed one" "I… did that on purpose". They walked up to a closed cell door "I sense our kidnapped ox is in here" Amy slightly backed away in disgust "I smell him to". Shadow opens the door, and they see a baby ox on the floor crawl up to them. Shadow looked surprised "He's a lot younger than I thought he'd be". "Aww, he's just a baby. He's so cute" Amy said but Shadow coldly glared at him "Just wait until you see what he'll grow into".
Back on Sandopolis Espio walks back to his fighter, Scylla beeped "I know, Scylla. I want to get out of here, too". He got in the cockpit and took off as a cloaked figure watched. Once the fighter was out of sight the cloaked figure walked into the palace and removed his hood revealing it to be Dimitri. He entered the throne room and stood before Jun. "O great Iron King, I have news of your son. I have discovered it is the Shinobi who have kidnapped him". Jun raised his eyebrow "How would you have come by this information?" "I have my ways. More importantly, mighty Iron King, I bring a warning. The Shinobi are planning to kill you". This caught the interest of Jun "Do you have proof?".
On the monastery courtyard Fang is directing his men to set up defensive positions when a scout comes up to him "No sign of any more badniks, Captain" "Alright, Sergeant". Fang activates his commlink "General Shadow, the castle is secure, and it's nearly midday" "Thanks, Fang. We've got Jun's son. Any sign of General Espio yet?" "No, sir".
Amy and Shadow were still in the cell and the former was staring bewildered at the baby ox "Master, my Shinobi training didn't prepare me for this. What're we gonna do?". Shadow turned to look at her "Well since you think it's cute, you can carry it". Amy didn't think the ox was that cute anymore.
Somewhere in space Espio's fighter enters the hanger of a Republic cruiser where Armand is waiting. "Commander, tell Admiral Gerald to get underway. We need to reinforce Shadow" "Right away, sir".
Shadow and Amy were taking the baby back to the courtyard "How do you like your little buddy now? Still cute?". Amy held the ox up to Shadow "He's reminding me of you more and more". Shadow didn't seem to like the comparison and silently walked away from the two of them. The baby started coughing which concerned Amy "Master, I think this little guy is sick. He's burning up with a fever". She walks up to Shadow who reluctantly turns around and feels it's head "You're right. We've got to get him back to the ship immediately. Trooper, get me a backpack". One of the clones runs forward and gives Shadow his bag. Amy and Shadow then put then try and put the baby in it. Little did they know that from a balcony Bocoe.
In the throne room Dimitri projects, a hologram of Amy and Shadow in front of Jun. "Will you just let me do it?" Amy said before Shadow sighed "I hate this kid" they put him in the bag which causes him to cry. Jun looked angry as Dimitri turned the hologram off "As you can see, it is the Shinobi who have your son and are plotting against you. My badniks have already initiated a rescue. Rest assure, your son will be saved". Jun looked down on him "And what do wish for in return" "Perhaps you would consider joining our struggle against the Republic".
Back in the courtyard Amy is carrying the baby on her back while she and Shadow are talking to a projection of Espio. "Shadow, did you find Jun's son?" "We have him, but it looks like the Separatists are behind his abduction". Espio thought "I'll bet Dimitri is using us to get Jun to join the Separatists". Amy stepped forward "Master Espio, we have another problem. Stinky here is very sick" "I'm not sure we can get him back to Sandopolis alive, Master. This whole rescue may backfire on us. I still don't think dealing with the Iron Dominion is a good idea" Shadow added. "Shadow, you know they control shipping routes in the Outer Zones. Jun's cooperation is crucial to the war effort. If you let anything happen to his son, our chances of a treaty with him will disappear". Suddenly above them Separatist invasion ships appeared "Master, we've got trouble!" Amy said. "Defensive positions!" Fang yelled as he and the other clones prepared for an attack. Shadow looked back to Espio "I'll have to call you back, Master. We're under attack! We could use a little help here if you have the time" "I'll get there as soon as I can. Protect the ox, Shadow". Eggrobos fly above the monastery and begin firing at the group. Badniks start pouring in from the main gates but the remaining tank is able to hold them at bay. "Get inside!" Shadow orders Amy who runs with Stinky and Emerl quickly follows her. Heavy fire eventually destroys the walker "Fall back!" Shadow yelled at the troops and they all run inside before closing the main doors locking them inside.
Shadow turns to Fang "Captain, we'll stay here until General Espio arrives with reinforcements" Amy didn't seem to like this plan. "Master, do you honestly think we can hold them off? We've got to find a way out of here and get this one to Sandopolis". Shadow crossed his arm "I suppose you have a plan" Emerl started beeping which Amy nodded at "Yes, I think so. Emerl willing". "Alright, Snips. I'll trust you on this one. Fang, hold them here as long as you can". Fang nodded "Will do, sir. You heard the General! Get ready to turn niks into scrap metal!". Emerl leads Shadow and Amy into a control room of the monastery where he plugs his hand into a socket. Shadow looked at Amy "You should get some rest. It's been a long day for you, little one". Amy seemed annoyed by this "I'm fine, Master. I'm not tired". Shadow walked past her and sat down "Suit yourself. I don't see why you won't just listen to me" "I do listen to you, Master. I just don't like being treated like a youngling". Shadow could relate to that "You must have patience. What're you trying to prove anyway?" "That I'm not to young to be your apprentice". Shadow stood up "Amy, a very wise Shinobi once told me Nothing happens by accident. It is the will of the Force that you are with me". This seemed to cheer Amy up slightly.
