"Oh my gah, I can't believe it's really you! I heard Jazz telling Emmett earlier this month that you were movin' back here but I wasn't sure I heard right. I am so glad it turned out to be true. When did ya move back?" Rose asked, pulling me into a fierce hug too.

Tanya Denali and Rosalie Hale— are cousins— and were once two of my closest friends. The very few I trusted outside of my family, and that was before my father's unexpected death, after he was gone I lost touch with everyone before I left for California.

I only came to realize how much I had missed them when I saw them again. Sorta wished I hadn't cut everyone off as I had.

"I— I just got in yesterday…" I replied, timidly.

"Oh, do you still have the same number as before?" Tanya asked, excitedly.

As she bounced slightly up and down, her massive strawberry blonde mane bobbed up and down, briefly reminding me of Dolly Parton as she did so.

I shook my head in response to her question, before biting my lower lip as I pulled out my small rectangular slide phone, tapping onto the screen a few times before I turned to show it to them, not trusting myself to verbally say it.

Both women quickly pulled out their phones, their manicured fingers flying across the screen, for a brief moment, before saving the number and calling my phone so I could record their numbers.

"Are you stayin' with your brother and Alice at the old place? Will ya be home later today?" Rose asked, quietly in one breath.

"Yes. I'll be home until I either find a job and place of my own," I mutter, looking away.

"Well, ya could always bunk with Emmett and me. He's missed ya a lot since ya left, we both have." Rosalie quickly suggests, giving me a light smile.

I flash her a brief smile for her suggestion, before shaking my head in response. "Thanks for the suggestion, Rose, but I think I should stay in the guest house Jasper and Alice had built on the property. You can come over later if you wish to, though, and bring the big lug with ya too." I said, smiling at them.

"That sounds like an awesome idea! I can bring Drake too!" Tanya squeals, pulling me into a fierce hug.

I smiled at Tanya's enthusiasm, as we talked a while longer before I quietly excused myself and finished shopping.

When I made it back home it was early in the afternoon, yet no one seemed to be home. So, I focused on gathering my clothes, and Missy before moving everything into the guest house.

After I had organized everything, I felt lonelier than I had felt since my dad had left, and that fact stung more than seeing the past making its reappearance.
