"R-rebellious Eyes? HERO dragon?" Ryuji muttered in complete shock, confusion, and amazement. In truth, I was amazed as well, this power flowing inside me… I feel like I could do anything!! Especially beating a creep like Kamoshida.
Speaking of, he was on the ground staring in shock for a second "who the hell are you!?" He demanded before gaining his arrogant smirk again. "Doesn't matter, my guards will dispose of you shortly"
4 guards instantly surrounded me, each turning into some kind of monster. They each had a Jack-o-lantern head, black witch hat, holding a lantern filled with flames. I quickly charge at the first monster I saw with my blade. Trying to at least stab one of them.
However, he quickly dodged and countered with a strong fiery strike from his lantern. Leaving me a bit burnt, and sending me to the wall. Leaving me groaning a bit in pain. While I was down the 2nd Jack-o-lantern would shoot another fiery blast at me but I would quickly and smoothly roll to the side.
A third jack o lantern would try to strike at me as well but I quickly hopped over him rolling to the center of the room. All of them surrounded me, shooting out a scorching fire attack. I would quickly jump up "Rebellious Eyes!!" My eyes glowed purple as my persona reappeared.
While staying in the air a bit longer, thanks to my persona. He began to quickly fire at the beasts with an ultra powerful energy blast leaving them weak before I slam down to the ground. Using his power to send an energy wave back at the other beings destroying them.
I stood glaring at Kamoshida, he glares back at me walking over to me. "Why you little…!!" He suddenly got pushed against the wall by Ruyji.
"You like that you son of a bitch!?" He taunted with a glare.
I knew if he would stay free in here he would cause way more trouble for us "get the keys and lock the cell… hurry!!" I told Ruyji heading out the cell
He looked at the keys by the wall picking them up quickly running out. slamming the cell door shut. Locking it, "Alright it's locked." Kamoshida would bang on the cell door making us back up.
"Damn you!!" He shouted at us. Ruyji completely ignoring him as he turned to me. "Hey, what was that just now?" He looked at me up and down "and your clothes… it changed too."
Purple flames erupted around me as my clothes changed back to normal. Leaving him in more shock "w-whoa… they're normal again!!"
Kamoshida would bang on the cell again clearly pissed
"You bastards!!" He yelled out, giving a sigh, I turned to him with a bit of a cocky smirk. "Hey, I know you're mad and all but could you keep it down… me and him is kinda having a conversation."
"You think this is a joke!!? I'll make you pay!!" He warned.
"Yo, we should scram…" Ryuji told me throwing the key into some kind of lake inside the castle. "since you have a way to take care of those guards you lead the way"
I nodded "it's been fun Kamoshida, but we have to go… enjoy your cell" I gave a bit of a wink as we headed away from where he was banging, and calling for guards.
Around us were lots of cells, some appearing to be empty. To the left was a broken bridge we had to jump across. We would continue to wander aimlessly around the castle, jumping across platforms above the water.
There were loads of cells above the lake and some deep, most of it was underwater. I hate to think what happened to those inside. We soon saw some guards up ahead. "Great… there some guards that way… we should be careful, if we try to take them out they'll call for backup." I nodded, "yeah… I think I saw another place we could go" I responded
I quickly lead him into some room with large amounts of stairs going up.
"Finally, this must lead to the exit."I looked at Ruyji with a nod
"Yeah… I hope so too… let's get out of here"
We both ran up the flight of stairs. Heading into where they lead, which wasn't the exit. Just more water, "argh!!... I thought the exit was here…"
"Yeah… this place is like a maze, a long, never ending maze" I murmured seeing someone dangling in a cell over the water.
"Damn it!! that's cruel!! So there are other people captured beside us" I looked towards him
"yeah, who knew someone like that was doing something this cruel… we need to find a way out…"
We would continue to wander around aimlessly passing by a statue and a draw bridge until we got to a dead end. "Argh… Another dead end!!... How the hell are we supposed to get outta here!!" Ryuji clenched his fist in frustration
"Hey, you there!!" We heard a voice on the left from the cell. "Blondie, and wavy hair!!, look over here!" I turned, seeing a black, uh… Cat? It sure looked like one. It had on an interesting attire, with a yellow scarf around its neck and blue eyes.
"Hm?... who's this?" I asked curiously. The cat-like creature looked at us with desperation. "you two are not soldiers right? Get me out of here?" He asked pleasingly his tiny paws pointing to the key by the cell.
"Huh? We're trying to get the hell outta here… hell, you look like an enemy!" Ruyji would respond back a bit loudly.
"I'm locked up here, so how can I be your enemy!?" he responded, I gave a bit of a nod as I kneeled down to his level "Alright, I'll bust you out, though be a bit quiet… we're kinda wanted by the guards around here"
"My,my. You kids are making quite the ruckus around here." Another voice was heard, quickly turning towards it. I found myself face to face with a tall, knight with shiny golden armor. It was clear this beast was way more stronger than the others.
He continued talking "Unfortunately, we can't let you leave. though from what we've been told you hold a power that's extremely strong" I looked at him a bit confused.
"We?" I asked in complete confusion, The knight began to shake as it began to morph into 3 seperate knights. One of them had blonde hair, blue color armor, the head gear looked like a crown. He had a medium sized blade.
The 2nd guy was way taller, with a sword twice the size of the first guy. Donning a king's cape with golden armor with gems on the side, blonde beard, and a huge shield.
Last but not least was a pretty woman, with long blonde hair, red armor, sword and shield, the shield having symbols of playing cards. "I'm queen's knight!" She declared as her sword and shield turned into a duel disk?
The shorter guy stepped besides her "I'm jack's knight!!" He declared as his sword turned into a smaller duel disk!!.
The tallest and most scariest looking of them all looked down on me with disgrace.
"And I'm king's knight…" his voice was booming loudly. The three looked at me with murderous intent.
"W-whoa, those guys look scary… but they have duel disks? These guys know how to duel too!! This place keeps getting crazier" Ryuji commented, shocked, confused, and scared.
I nodded understanding how he felt. 'We won't be able to get outta here unless we get past these guys' I thought as I stood in front of Ruyji. "you go free the cat, I got these guys" I stood in front of him
While Ruyji was fiddling with the lock I looked at the 3 knights. "So you really want to duel instead of fight. What if I decline your request?" I asked curiously.
The king's knight would give a hearty laugh "well, that won't happen… look around you boy" a bit hesitant I would look around the area. The cells, Ruyji, the cat, all of it were gone!!.
We seemed to be inside some type of temple. I was on one side, the three knights were on the other. As if we were sent here, "what did you do!!" I demanded
"Don't get all worked up, we just sent you to the spirit realm. Where we'll be having our duel." The queen's knight explained to me, "It's where regular spirits like us can send horrid thieves like you to this place and defeat you."
"Once that happens you are subject to a life of suffering by us spirits forever." Jack's knight would piggy back off of her.
The king who was in the center glared at me "you'll truly learn the error of your ways boy, one way or another."
I gave a bit of a gulp, I knew if I lost it'll be over. However if I waste my time here my newly found friends will be caught. Having no other options, "Alright then… let's duel… I refuse to lose!!" I activated my duel disk
The three knights smirked as the duel commenced

I was going to do the duel on this chapter but I didn't want it to be that long. so there's going to be a couple things we're going to have to establish before they escape the palace. first we're going to establish how duels work in the metaverse. I created the spirit realm to give it some kind of incentive for the others to duel. I mean if a monster trying to kill you challenges you to a duel your most likely are not going to accept. especially when you have a powerful monster by your side. this gives every duel in this metaverse against monsters some kind of stakes. you always have to win or at least get them to give up to come out alive. 2nd thing Morganas deck,

it's gem-knights, her Ace is either going to be lady lapis which also going to evolve onto lady diamond or the other gem knight fusion monsters which is going to evolve into master dimond. next time you guys will see how duels go and Morgana persona

maybe I can make Arsene into a custom, that'll probably be what I do. though It might be a side quest or story. or she could be a new girl that comes to the school.
too bad I can't add numbers, the most i can add right now in the rear card department would be some god cards, and dimension dragons but you'll see why further down the line with the story.
attributes are a real pain for the other cast. it's clear that Ann should be light, and Ruyji should be fire. maybe Yusuke could be dark, Haru could be wind, or water, I don't know what to do about Futaba, and for Makoto if she has monarchs which seems like a good idea especially with the queen title then I could make her ace/persona be whatever attribute she represents. I also have multiple deck idea's for them like F.A and triamids. I think I know what to do about things like Psi, death and nuclear attributes. though I'll figure out what there attributes should be soon enough
