Quinn:

"I can't find Tina anywhere. Not so sure if that's a good or bad thing." Quinn slumped onto the floor in the corner of the club. After a good 30 minutes of searching the bar for her friend, she gave up and put her trust in Mercedes, who promised she had just been with Tina.

"So long as she's still in this building I'd assume she's doing ok." Finn laughed. He knew Quinn was having a rough night, between the discomfort of being in a club, looking out for Tina and turning down Sam, the poor girl was constantly on edge.

"You're a good friend, you know. Looking out for Tina."

Quinn shrugged and tried to blink back the tears in her eyes. She felt her face flush with embarrassment as Finn took notice to her tears.

"Hey, Quinn, hey. You're...it's ok. C'mere." He reached out and wrapped his arms around her as she leaned stiffly into his hold, thankful for the dark lighting within the bar.

"I'm sorry." Her voice was muffled against Finn's shirt. She tried to calm herself down, however the more she leaned into Finn's hug, even more emotions seemed to spill out of her. It felt like she had been bundling all these feelings and burying them deep down where she knew she could just about ignore them, but somehow had suddenly reached her breaking point.

"Don't be sorry. It's ok." Finn whispered.

Quinn sat up to look at Finn, and could tell he was deliberating on whether he should take her home.

"It's just shitty." She declared weakly. She felt her eyes fill with more tears, which she held back with what felt like every fibre in her body.

Finn nodded and reached for her hand, squeezing it soothingly.

"That's ok, things are allowed be shitty. Quinn, you've been more of a friend to me in the couple of years I've known you than most of my older friends have. You're like this constant support system that I know I can turn to and I know you'll never turn me away. But you're so, so strong. And you don't give yourself enough credit. You don't have to be little miss perfect, you can be little miss Quinn who is awesome, periodt."

Quinn smiled sombrely at Finn, no longer making an attempt to hide the tears that began to spill from her eyes.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Finn asked carefully, seemingly trying to respect her boundaries.

Quinn leaned back a little, once again in a position where Finn was half hugging her. She had never had someone care about her as much as Finn did. She felt the need to open up to him, even though the thought terrified her.

"Relationships of any kind have always been kind of difficult for me. I wasn't close to my mom and things were even worse with my dad. I've just... I'm trying so hard not to let them affect me, but I just can't allow myself to get close to people, no matter how hard I try."

Finn didn't interrupt, which made her want to continue. She wasn't holding back, which made her question if this was a good or bad idea.

"I've never told anyone from my... I guess adult life about this. I had a baby when I was sixteen. I don't have any custody or anything of her, I put her up for adoption. It...it was her birthday during the week. It's just a hard time of the year."

She stared deep into Finn's eyes, as though searching for his disapproval. It was a habit of hers that she hated, yet couldn't manage to shake.

"Thank you...for telling me. I'm not so sure what the right thing to say is, but you've just given me another reason to admire you."

Quinn could feel another wave of emotions washing over her like a dark cloud. She had no idea why she decided to breakdown tonight of all nights.

"You're an awesome person Quinn, I don't know who told you otherwise, but they're so wrong. You shouldn't feel the need to get into a relationship just because you think it's what's expected. You're great just the way you are."

Quinn didn't know how to respond, so wrapped her arms around Finn and hugged him as tight as she could. Her problems from her youth made it difficult for her to maintain friendships, often pushing people away to avoid being hurt. Without her ever realising it, Finn seemed to have snook in through her guarded walls in a way that yes, scared her, but also gave her a sense of love and security. The feeling she had constantly craved when she was younger.

"Wanna get out of here? I'll check on Kurt and make sure he's ok to just call me when he's ready to leave and I'll come back and pick him up. I'll do the same for Tina and I'll find Mercedes to make sure she's cool with keeping an eye on her. I don't think anyone will miss us too much." Finn smiled his infectious half smile, which instantly caused Quinn to break into a small yet genuine grin.

"Sounds like a plan."

Sugar:

Sugar danced around the room, appreciating how incredible it felt to be drunk. She had such an awesome buzz going on that she even flirted with the barman. He wasn't having any of it, which worked out in her favour. She had less than zero interest in him, but she still got to flirt!

As she was dancing around the club, completely out of sink with Tina, Mercedes and Sam who were attempting the Thriller dance, she noticed Santana standing by the bar, looking almost lost. To Sugar, it reminded her of those scenes from movies when there's a characters thats at the party but not in the party. She immediately made it her mission to drag Santana into the party, even if the girl protested.

"What's up, Santa?" Sugar launched herself as gently as she possibly could, casually draping her arm around her friends shoulders.

"Santa?" She raised her brows. Sugar shrugged defensively.

"Remove the 'na' from the end and your name is Santa. Pretty cool, right?"

"Very cool, Sugar. Having a good time?" She laughed as Sugar continued to hang out of her.

"Yep! I love parties, we should go to more. Will you dance with me, Santa?" Sugar grinned widely, receiving an eye roll from Santana.

"Hate to break it to you, girl, but I'm here with another woman."

Sugars eyes darted around the crowded room until they landed on Brittany, dressed in an awesome crocodile print dress.

"Brittany!" She screamed across the room, grabbing Santana's hand and leading her towards the direction of the blonde.

"Hey you two." Brittany smiled once the two girls reached her. Sugar recognised the guy she was talking to from work, but couldn't work out what his name was. Christopher? Maybe Carter?

"Britt, do you mind if I steal your girl for a few minutes to dance with me? I promise to try return her in one piece."

"Fire ahead, I'll sit back and enjoy." Brittany laughed, receiving a small yet joking glare from Santana.

"Go on Santana, I'll look after her for you." The guy promised, smiling innocently at Santana.

"Hmmm, thanks Kurt." Santana replied sarcastically as Sugar pulled her onto the dance floor and twirling her around in circles.

"Why do you hate dancing? You're so great at it!" Sugar shouted over the music.

"I don't hate it." She shouted back. "I'm just overly conscious cause Brittany's looking. Is she looking? Is she laughing?"

Sugar squinted to get a good look at Brittany from across the room, who looked to have her mouth hanging wide open as Santana began to properly dance along to the beat of the song.

"Yes she's looking, no she's not laughing. She looks a healthy mix of shocked and impressed."

This seemed to boost the girls confidence as she continued dancing along happily to the remix of songs.

"That's what twelve years of dance classes gets you."

Sugar, who was nowhere near as good as Santana, danced alongside her best friend for what felt like hours. When a slightly slower song came on, the two decided it was time for a break, and grabbed two more drinks.

"Hey, can I tell you something? I don't want it to be a big deal or anything like that, I just wanted to let you know." She wasn't sure why she was doing this now, all she knew was that it seemed to be the perfect moment. They were both happy, alone and the alcohol made any nerves she would've had sober disappear.

"Of course." She replied simply, taking a large gulp of wine.

"I'm asexual. I've known for a while, but I wasn't ready to say it out loud, but now feels right. I told Blaine a few weeks ago."

Santana's eyes widened in surprise.

"Wow, Sugar that's amazing! Congrats, thanks for telling me." She put down her glass and pulled her into a bear hug, kissing her on the cheek.

"Thanks, I'm happy you know. I mean, I wasn't hiding it exactly, but I wasn't announcing it to the word either. It's confusing."

"That's totally normal, there's no rush on these sort of things, it's very much a you make your own rules situation." Santana assured her, feeling immensely proud of her friend.

"Thanks, San. I really appreciate it." Sugar thanked her gratefully.

"Come on, you know you don't need to thank me. Auntie San always has your back. And I'm prepared to bust balls if anyone gives you shit. Unfortunately I know more than a few homos floating around work."

"Oh I have no doubt about that." Sugar laughed, having more than a few memories of Santana making grown adults shake with fear. Her words could be like bullets.

"You don't have to worry about me telling anyone either, you know that. I do however want to welcome you to this awesome ass community with another dance." Santana grabbed the drink from Sugars hand, leading her back out to the dance floor where the two pushed through the hundreds of dancing people until they were smack dab in the middle of the crowd.

"I fucking love you!" Santana screamed over the music, now happily dancing without a care in the world.

"I love you more Santa!"

Kurt:

Kurt's night had a rocky start, with Ben digging for an argument by insisting they didn't need a ride from Finn.

"You know it's like a 45 minute walk, right?" Finn had protested, but Ben had been adamant about showing up with Kurt and Kurt only.

This of course led to an argument between the two, causing Finn to slip away by himself halfway through the fight.

"Seriously, Ben. Why wouldn't you want a ride? We're all going to the same place."

Ben rolled his eyes, adjusting his jacket in the mirror as the two fired words back and forward.

"We rely too much on Finn. You're always going places with him and catching rides. It's fucking weird."

"He's my brother, you psycho. Are you actually telling me you're jealous. Now that's weird. He was literally just offering us a ride. There's no need to be so clingy with everything, we're allowed talk to people other than each other."

"Like Blaine." Ben shot back angrily, grabbed Kurt's keys to start heading out the door.

"For the last time Ben, he is a friend! I should be allowed have guy friends without you getting jealous."

"I'm not jealous, I just don't like this guys intentions."

Kurt stared into Bens icy blue eyes, urging himself not to have a fit.

"You haven't even met him." Kurt replied through gritted teeth.

"Mhm, I cannot wait to meet him tonight." He replied almost sneakily.

"I swear to god Ben, if you make a scene then this is over. This is Tina's night, not ours! I'm bringing you so you can get the chance to meet some of my friends, not so you can corner Blaine an threaten him to prove you're some big macho guy."

"What do you mean 'this is over'?" Ben impersonated Kurt's harsh tone.

"It means we're over. I'm not sure if you've realised, or maybe you've been too busy trying to destroy every good thing in my life, but this isn't a healthy relationship. I am this close from leaving, and if you push me over the edge tonight then it'll come sooner than anticipated." Kurt used his fingers to indicate how far Ben had to push him. He was practically shaking with fury and the night hadn't even begun.

"You talk a big game, Kurt, but I know what you're doing. You're never leaving me. You're parents met me and thought I was good for you, and you don't have the balls to date anyone else."

Kurt's heart dropped at the mention of his parents. He wished Finn were here to knock Ben down a peg or two, since no words were coming out of Kurt's mouth when he began to speak.

"Judging by the look on your face, I'm right. Threaten to leave all you want, but we both know you won't. Not without Mommy or Daddy hear to approve Blaine." He replied smugly.

"Don't go there. Speak about them like that one more time and I'm out. I've had enough of your bullshit." Kurt voice was quite and shaken. Bens harmful words and threatening tone were getting to Kurt more than usual. It was starting to scare him.

Kurt proceeded to walk ahead of Ben until they were out of the building. He could hear Bens steps speading up behind him, so darted out to the street to grab a cab before he had the chance to stop him.

Thankfully, one pulled up once he made it across the street. Out of breath, he practically shouted the name of the club in the drivers ear, looking back to see how far away Ben was.

"You in trouble, son?" He cab driver asked as he pulled out from the curb. Kurt was surprised by the slight concern in his voice.

"I...I'm fine. Can you please try make it there as fast as possible." He fired his head back around to see Ben seemingly searching for a cab.

"Sure thing. You be careful tonight."

Kurt nodded, knowing he'd feel better once he reached the club with Blaine and Finn. He tried to ignore the fact that Blaine was the first name that came to his head, and hoped Ben was far behind them.

He arrived at the club less than 30 minutes later, his heart still pounding rapidly against his chest.

He did what felt like laps of the room, but couldn't find Finn. He breathed a sigh of relief when he spotted the girl from his building standing with another blonde that he recognised from work.

"Hey, Santana. Have you seen Blaine? Or Finn?" He asked, trying to keep his tone and facial expression neutral.

Obviously failing, Santana lightly put her hand on his forearm.

"I was talking to Finn about twenty minutes ago. I think he was with his girlfriend . Are you alright?"

Kurt frowned. Finn has a girlfriend?

"I uh, I just need to know where he is." He couldn't help but glance towards the door a few times, getting ready to run if he saw Ben.

"Kurt, you seem nervous. Did something happen?" Santana asked softly. Considering he hardly knew this girl, she seemed worried about him.

"I...I got into a fight with my boyfriend and he said some really insensitive things. I just don't want to be alone with him."

The blonde girl seemed to join in with Santana's concern.

"Can I get you a drink? I'd be glad to keep you company until you find Finn. I'm Brittany by the way." She added kindly. Santana mumbled something about finding Finn or Blaine before running off somewhere as Brittany guided him towards the bar.

"Thanks." Kurt took a rather large sip of his drink and made sure to keep an eye out around the room for Ben.

"I don't mean to intrude on anything, but has your boyfriend hurt you or anything? I'm not drinking if you need to leave without him."

"Thank you, I appreciate the offer. He hasn't...no. I just, I needed to get away."

Santana returned a few minutes later, Finn by her side.

"Bro, what happened?" Finn asked, taking Kurt by surprise when he hugged him.

"He, he was just being scarily controlling and kept saying shit about mom and dad. He has my keys but I...I just ran. I'm sorry."

"Hey, no it's ok. Quinn doesn't feel well so I was gonna take her back to ours. Santana actually caught us as we were on our way out. I'll stay here if you need me, but if I head home it means I can stop him from getting in or anything. Quinn's looking for Blaine now."

Right on cue, Quinn arrived with Blaine in tow. Kurt shook his head, knowing he had the safety of the girls and Blaine here.

"No, you two go home. Can I call you when I'm leaving? If I see him I'll try get my keys off him."

Finn looked hesitant, but eventually agreed.

"Don't talk to him alone, and don't wait outside when you're leaving. I'll come in and find you. I'll try stop at a hardware store and get new locks too." Finn instructed.

Finn and Quinn headed off a few minutes later, Kurt hanging back with Blaine as Brittany and Santana left to get more drinks.

"You ok? I'm sorry he said those things." Blaine made eye contact with Kurt, and Kurt instantly felt more at ease.

"Yeah, I know that I need to call things off with him. Everything's gotten way out of hand."

Blaine nodded in agreement and took a deep breath.

"About last week. I'm sorry about th-"

"I'm not." Kurt interrupted.

The two stared at each other, and for a moment, the air was clear of any tension. However, that moment didn't last much longer, as Kurt saw a familiar figure darting through the door towards him.
