That Awkward Time I Fell In Love
Ch.7
Naruto smiled as he walked into work and held a tray of two coffee's for Sasuke and Itachi, and an iced coffee for himself. He knew it wasn't part of his job, but neither Sasuke or he had tome to have one at home this morning. Blame Kakashi. So when his best friend sent him to grab some, he went ahead and got one for Itachi as well. It wasn't what he normally liked, but it was good, a snickerdoodle blend. So, sweet with cinnamon sugar, and still hot.
When he got to his desk, he set the tray down, grabbing Sasuke's plain coffee, and then Itachi's sugar fest. He took the youngers first, since he was expecting it.
"Is the other one for Itachi?" Sasuke asked, tiredly. Naruto nodded. "Good. His coffee machine broke and this will help him."
"I didn't know that. I was just getting him one to be nice," Naruto told him, but secretly happy to be helping the older Uchiha.
He quietly left Sasuke's office and shut the door before going to Itachi's and knocking lightly, waiting for a "come in" and slowly opened the door when he heard. Coffee in hand, and smile in place, he walked in, setting the steaming cup on his desk. Itachi blinked at the cup, with a sweetened aroma, and smiled slightly.
"Thank you, Naruto," he spoke softly. Itachi grabbed the cup, sipping lightly and the smile stretched a little. "That's a new flavor," he said.
"Snickerdoodle," the blond answered, still smiling as he walked out of the office and back to his desk to enjoy his own beverage, and start on his work.
As he finished for the day, he noticed Itachi still in his office, and did not hear the subtle sounds of the computer being shut down. Naruto sighed, not wanting the man to work too late, thus being irritating tomorrow, and slowly opened his door.
"Itachi," he started softly, seeing the man reading his screen.
"Hn?" the older male responded.
Naruto felt his eyebrow twitch at the sound. God he hated the Uchiha "hn" with a passion. "It's time to go home for the day. It's almost seven." Naruto tacked on the time to catch the raven haired mans attention.
After a minutes silence, Itachi nodded and started to shut off his computer and stood up, leaving his desk in disarray. He would get to it in the morning. Smiling softly at the blond, Itachi stood up.
"Thank you, Naruto," he started. "For your concern."
Naruto smiled back and answered, "Of course, Itachi."
The three men walked out of the office building at almost exactly seven, and Sasuke cursed as he remembered something.
"Itachi?" Sasuke asked. "Could you take Naruto home? I have a dinner date with Kakashi in ten minutes."
Itachi smirked at his little brother. "Of course, dear brother," he answered. "Come with me Naruto."
