(Duskendale, Blackwater Bay, The Crownlands, The Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, Westeros)

A proudly Hung Targaryen Banner was raised over Duskendale, one of a Black Dragon on Red.

Daemon took the Sigil of the Destroyed Blackfyre Line for his own, and took the Words Fire, Blood, and Steel.

His reward that he asked for was to be named The Lord-Prince Of Duskendale, given the lands, titles and incomes of House's Darklyn and Hollard and their immediate Relatives.

Below it flew a Lannister Lion, Baratheon Stag, Stark Direwolf, and the Sun and Spear of Martell. The Banners of Royce, Corbray, Hightower, Tarly, and Royce, flew there as well.

Prince Daemon's taking of the Blackfyre Banner was a statement to his brother, plain and simple. Daemon wanted to stay and consolidate his control over the New lands he'd acquired, but his Father insisted he come back to court for a richer reward still. What that was he couldn't say.

But His Father allowed him to take the young Dontos Hollard as his personal Page, after Ser Barristan asked he be spared on account of the boy's age. Daemon also put Tygett Lannister in charge of bringing the city to order and Named Stannis his Castellan and Steward until he returned to claim the City as his seat.

Daemon was equal parts worried and curious for whatever his father had planned.

(Red Keep, King's Landing, The Crownlands, The Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, Westeros)

Daemon hated long-winded speeches, but couldn't believe his eyes and ears when his Father unfurled Dark Sister and Blackfyre, and declared his intent to give them both to Daemon.

Rhaegar too couldn't hold his tongue and challenged Daemon for Blackfyre.

''You want to fight me brother? You want what Father gives me? Alright fine, you and me to First Yield or clear victory, Real Steel, real danger, real fight.'' That was his response.

''Done.'' Rhaegar agreed.

''The match is set, my sons will battle it out over Dark Sister and Blackfyre in real combat. It shall happen a fortnight from now.'' Aerys declared, cackling giddily as he did so.

Neither Daemon Nor Rhaegar took his eye from the other as they stared each other down.

Daemon was practicing with Ser Barristan, Ser Oswell, and Ser Jonothor, Jaime and Lyn were fighting against him as well. Daemon was pushing himself hard to extend his ability to survive prolonged Stress and wear and tear.

The more men against him the better, that was how he trained and improved, fighting overwhelming odds to the best of his ability. Tested and pushed his endurance, stamina, ability to retain clear-thinking under extreme stress.

Daemon had been at it for hours, fighting tooth and nail for every inch of ground he took and twice as hard for every inch of ground he gave. He had little doubt that His Brother was undergoing similar training with his Pillow Biter friend Jon Connington, and most likely Ser Gwayne Gaunt, Ser Arthur Dayne, and Ser Gerold Hightower. This made the training all the more important.

(POV Shift: Rhaegar Targaryen)

Daemon wasn't wrong, Rhaegar was fighting against his Friends, but in a far less competitive and stressful manner.

Rhaegar was confident because he believed his brother would still be on a victory high from unhorsing Ser Arthur, but Rhaegar had asked Ser Arthur to throw the tilt in order to deal with his brother personally. Unseating such a famed Knight of the Kingsguard was something one so young would be riding high on for a while.

Such confidence could be used to Rhaegar's advantage as he knew that Ser Arthur had thrown the tilt at Rhaegar's request.

(POV Shift: Cersei Lannister)

Cersei was grateful for the opportunity that The King had unwittingly granted House Lannister, by putting her intended and his brother against each other, Her Father now had a perfect opportunity to use her natural Lannister Beauty to seduce the Crown Prince.

If nothing else, it was also a good opportunity to Guage the Court for it's backers. Namely which Groups supported which Targaryen Prince, The Gallant Rhaegar or Grasping Daemon.

Cersei thought it foolish that The Younger Prince took the Colors and Sigil of House Blackfyre as his own, but she also had to note the boldness in doing just so. Especially as he outdid Daemon I Blackfyre by being Knighted at age Eleven.

Even if he wasn't her intended husband, he would be a good person to both have on side and to keep close tabs on...

Chapter End

Well, HOLY MOTHER OF CHRIST! When I encouraged voting, such a large overnight response was unexpected. I went from a clear Blackfyre Poll Vote Victory, to a tiebreaker that forced my hands.

Had to call upon three friends to break the tie, and three more impartial readers to make damn sure it was fair, special thanks to LordofBeal, BirdbrainRavelPhenex, and CassusEldar for that.

I'll spare you the details, but I now have to write something I was thoroughly unprepared to write up.

I'm both bitter and a little bit relieved about this, haven't decided which feelings Dominant just yet...I'll let you's know...

Oh, and be prepared for more Daena, more Characters, and more Cersei Lannister from this point on in the current story, we're nearing the deaths of The Lord Steffon Baratheon and Lady Cassana Estermont, for which I've got something oh so very planned...

Once Again,

Cordially Yours,
