Looking around at her brothers who were each huddled under at least two blankets after insisting she have three blankets on her legs and three more around her shoulders, Lyni tried not to shiver. It had been awhile since they were this cold, but all of the siblings were in the living room together again after a long day of classes/work. Feral muttered to himself, "Where are we going to find someone to fix the stupid heater?"

To anyone else Savage would have been stone faced, but his siblings knew him well enough to see the slight movement of his jaw that showed frustration. This was something that he could not fix himself. Maul was glaring at the wall as if it was supposed to have a fireplace but didn't get the message. Getting up abruptly he angrily made them each a hot drink, his fury at not being able to do more obvious in the choppy movements and aggression as he slammed the dry ingredients on the counter.

Thanking him as he brought out her drink first Lyni noticed her laptop sitting on the side table where she had left it the night before. Tracing the glued handle of her mug she tried to think who she could message the question of the electrician to. Then it came to her, Wolffe might know.

Swallowing another gulp of hot chocolate she set down her mug and reached for her laptop. After powering it up and getting to her poetry classes dashboard she pulled up Wolffe's name on the message list. Then started and stopped for about ten minutes while having her drink before she came up with a message she was satisfied with. She read it though one last time:

To Wolffe Fett

Hello, I hope this finds you well. I'm alright, but I have been better.

You see, the heater at my family's house has died. And as I write this we are all trying to stay warm under blankets.

So I wanted to ask if you knew a good but reasonably priced electrician. It doesn't really matter if you don't. But I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. Please let me know either way.

-Lyni Opress

Nodding once to encourage herself she hit send. Then moved over to the poetry assignment. It was a free write and she swallowed before getting inspiration.

Water

It can give life,

And take it all away.

A positive force,

A negative force.

We all need it,

In that way we

Are all the same.

How we use it

In that way,

We can be different.
