Two years later Sonic and Knuckles were doing fine.

They were happy, enjoyed being together and as promised Silver would help them with Eggman when needed.

Eggman was a little surprised the first time.

Sonic had found out that the seven Chaos Emeralds only answer himself and Shadow because they match the Chaos in them and Silver is to weak for its power together.

That shocked everyone but Silver said he would still help.

Sonic would see Shadow every few days and when he told him the Chaos Emeralds only answer to them because Silver isn't strong enough for all seven together.

That shocked him and confused him at the same time.

Team Sonic was at work with Silver today.

Station Square was surprised when they met Silver and heard Sonic and Knuckles were dating now. But if it helps Sonic then they're happy.

"Tails I'm gonna need a Power Ring." Sonic said.

"You got it!" Tails said and hit the button aiming at Sonic and he caught it.

Then he went right through a Swatbot, bounced off a pole and got the last of it.

Then he landed on his hand and foot.

He looked up and smirked.

"When are you gonna give up? I have my team, friends and boyfriend with me." he said still smirking.

"I will win next time hedgehog! Even with a new team mate!" Eggman said and left.

"Looking forward to it!" Silver said.

Then Tails got off the X Toronto and headed to Sonic along with Knuckles and Silver.

"You OK?" Tails asked.

"I think I sprained my right wrist but I'm good." Sonic said.

"Do you have the healing Emerald with you?" Silver asked.

"I keep them at home so no I don't have it. But I'll be fine. I'll use it when I get home."

They nodded.

"Thanks for the help Silver." Tails said smiling.

"You got it. See you next time." Silver said and left.

"Want a ride home? You look pretty tired." Tails asked.

"Yeah. I love to run but I'm pretty tired." Sonic said so they hoped onto the X Tornado and headed to Sonic's.

When they got there Tails grabbed the healing Emerald and Knuckles cleaned his wrist up.

"Here you go." Tails said and handed Sonic the healing Emerald.

"Thanks." Sonic said and got his wrist ready. "Chaos Control." he said and felt his wrist get back to normal. "There we go."

Then he fixed Knuckles knee and then put away.

"There we go. All healed and ready for our date tonight." Sonic said smiling.

"Yup. Got the Master Emerald with me in my pocket as usual." Knuckles said smiling.

"See you later. I'm gonna go hang out with Cream and Cheese." Tails said smiling.

"Have fun." Sonic said smiling.

Then Tails headed to Cream's and Sonic and Knuckles sat down and relaxed.

Knuckles was a little nervous about this date because he was going to propose to him tonight.

A few hours later he left and got ready and was going to meet up in Cream Amy's restaurant.

Amy and Cream had their own restaurant and Chris works at it while he's in college. He was studying science like Chuck and Tails would gladly help him when he needs it and quiz him for exams. Unless they're at work, hanging out with Sonic and Knuckles or playing in his workshop.

Rouge still works for GUN with Topaz as her partner now that Shadow's gone.

Blaze and Silver are working in their own store.

At first people were surprised they worked and had their own restaurant and store but at the same time weren't.

They know Sonic, Tails and Knuckles job is to be the heroes and Knuckles and Sonic are hero and Guardians of the seven Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald.

And Vanilla is a nurse at the hospital.

When they got to the restaurant they gave each other a kiss and went to get a seat.

Every time they come Amy and or Cream has Chris be their waiter.

"Hey guys." Chris said smiling.

"Hey Chris." Sonic said smiling.

"So what's it gonna be today?"

"I'm gonna have a cheeseburger with fries and a Dr. Pepper." Sonic said.

"And I'll have a hamburger with fries and a Coke." Knuckles said.

"You got it." Chris said smiling and took the menus and left.

"So what's going on?" Sonic asked.

"Not much. At work or hanging out with you guys as usual." Knuckles said. "You?"

"Pretty much the same." Sonic said.

A few minutes later Chris was back with their food.

"Thanks Chris." Knuckles said.

"You're welcome." he said smiling and left.

While they ate Knuckles was a little nervous about this.

'I hope he says yes.' he thought.

When they were done they paid and said good by.

Then they headed to the park and went on a walk.

Then Knuckles stopped.

"Knuckles? You OK?" Sonic asked.

"Yeah, I just have a question." he said and reached into his pocket, bent down and looked at Sonic. "Sonic, I know we didn't start out as friends when we met. But I love you and was wondering, will you marry me?" he said and opened the box to show him a blue diamond ring.

Sonic froze for a second and remembered what Shadow said two years ago.

'You have to move on.'

"Yes." he said and Knuckles smiled then put the ring on then gave him a kiss.

"Why don't we head home? It's getting late."

Sonic nodded and they headed to Sonic's.
