Laura was the first to speak, "Terribly sorry if we disturbed you darling," She said apologizing for disturbing Ran, "But we were curious as to how you activated our poster." Ran soon realized that the poster she had found was theirs. Ran gave it back, and explained that while she didn't know a trigger for the tambourine but her human form was triggered by her song. Jacklyn soon concluded that their poster would grant them a human form whenever a pet did a performance that reflected who he/she was.
Jacklyn was confused as to when she was fighting the animal hunters, she got Rainbow Dash's guitar, but not a human form. She soon brushed the thought aside and soon asked Ran why she was helping the animals they had freed.
"Ever since I was a kid, I've had the unique ability to understand all animals," Ran explained, while reminiscing about when she first began to discover her unique ability. "Most mages can only understand bird language, while I can understand every single animal in the magical world." Ran continued her story by explaining her usage of her skills. Ran and her family ran a veterinary and Ran often helped her parents with the animals thanks to her ability to understand animals that the others could not. Jacklyn was amazed and soon began connecting her skills to those of characters on the poster. Both specialized in understanding animals and had unique magical abilities.
"My mother doesn't like it when I go off on my own to cure wild animals, but that can't stop me from going out with a friend and helping animals in need," Ran soon said smiling as she spoke about ignoring her mother's rule. "My mother still has that rule, but now its become a sort of joke among us," Ran concluded.
The girls soon stayed around to see Ran finish her operation with the griffons before they decided to return to the island where her friend was waiting. After landing on the outskirts, Ran transformed back into her pet form. However, once they got there, they noticed that the animals had started to freak out for some reason. Jacklyn assumed that the animals had gotten stressed out, while Charlie assumed that the animals were wanting to party. Caught in the crossfire of the animals was Sarah who was trying to stop the animals from their ruckus, but kept on getting knocked down. Jacklyn then got the idea of letting Ran play her tambourine in order to soothe the animals. Ran understood and began to play. The animals were soon entranced by the power of her song. Sarah also saw Ran's performance and the effect it was having on the animals. As Ran continued her song, she once again triggered her transformation, only this time gaining her dress and wings and not her human form. Sarah was amazed by this transformation and rushed to ask her what had happened.
"I earned the magic of an enchanted poster that allows me to transform into a human," Ran explained to Sarah.
"Where did you find this poster," Sarah said in anticipation.
It was there that Jacklyn and her two friends revealed themselves to Sarah. Sarah's new look was a white shawl with a matching white undershirt with bright blue outlines covering most of of her outfit. "Sarah spent most of her life in the Mortal Realm," Ran told the three, "Now that she knows of her magical origins, she's stating in Mystrallia with her aunt and Grandma." "I guess explains her... whatever you mages call that outfit," Laura said confused as to what Sarah was wearing. Laura did like the colors complimenting it, but she was worried about butchuring their culture even if it was by complete accident. Once they introduced themselves, they explained that Jacklyn was the one who defeated the animal poachers with her power of song.
"So you're the ones who took care of the animal poachers when we came to this island for the first time," Sarah said satisfied with the mystery solved.
"Yes," however, I'm trying to discover the origins of my song powers," Jacklyn explained to Ran's old friend Sarah.
"The only hints and clues we have is our poster and the family who first made this power," Laura then joined in.
Ran soon asked Jacklyn, "I know this is a weird question, but why are you focused on trying to learn the origins of your powers?"
Jacklyn soon explained her reason, "Ran, while you may not have much interest in learning about your origins, I'd rather know why I have a unique gift instead of ignoring it."
Ran and Sarah were impressed by Jacklyn. While both of the girls never deeply pondered how they had their magic when they first encountered it for the first time, Jacklyn did. Jacklyn knew she had special magic in the form of the Power of Song, and wanted to know where it came from and how she got it.
After voicing her reasons, Laura and Charlie admitted to Ran and Sarah that they were what Mystrallians referred to as "mortals." "Sorry if we never told you when we first met darling," Laura told Ran, "but we thought that non-magical beings were not allowed here." "It's no big deal miss Laura, and this applies to you too miss Charlie," Ran explained, "Mages and Mortals have been known to coexist in harmony with us; we don't feel any resentment to those who haven't been blessed with the gift of magic like us mages." After having that weight lifted, Ran and Sarah got back tohelping most of the small and medium animals with Jacklyn's team joining in to do some small, but important tasks. After all of the animals that were small to medium sized were dealt with, Ran decided to move on to some of the big beasts. The first one of those: a dragon. Ran was about to start her operation, when a voice Ran recognized interrupted her.
"Oh, Ran, how many times must I tell you not to work with big dangerous beasts until you're an adult?"
Author's note: Regarding Sarah's new outfit, its meant to be the one Mithos Yggdrasil from Tales of Symphonia has on as his 14-year old form. The reason for this is due to who voiced him in Japan. I won't spoil who it is, you'll just have to find out for yourself.
