…Extended Punishment…
I hummed happily as Neville led me down the stairs and out onto the grounds. He led me down to the lake and sat me in his lap kissing my neck softly as we watched the sunset. "I love you darling." I mumbled running my hands through his hair. "I love you too little flower. Are you done pouting?" he whispered against my neck. "No, but I do want to spend time with you this weekend." I purred lightly as he kissed my neck while I spoke. "What did you want to do Lis?" he smiled and ran his hands up and down my arms.
"Not much. I just wanted to spend the day with you." I confessed getting up as the sky began to darken. He hugged me from behind as we walked up to the castle. "Of course, I'll spend the day with you." he smiled. I laughed and turned to him as we approached the courtyard. "Really? Whatever I want?" I raised an eyebrow walking backwards. "Anything you want." he whispered kissing my cheek before going to join his table.
I skipped over to my table and sat down happily. "Did you have fun studying?" Daphne smirked. "I should be asking you that." I giggled pointing at the darkening hickey on her neck. She yelped and pulled her hand mirror out examining her neck before smacking Blaise. "I really ought to punish you somehow." Daphne scoffed stuffing the mirror in her bag.
I bit back another laugh and turned to Pansy who had been nudging me for a minute. She pointed at Draco who looked pale still. I nodded and after dinner I poked his arm as we walked down to the dungeons. It took him a minute to register it was me and I pulled him down a side corridor letting the other students pass. "Are you ok? What is going on with you lately? You're starting to worry me. Do I need to write mother?" I kept my voice low in case there were eavesdroppers or stragglers. I studied his eyes carefully and put my hands on his face studying every movement his eyes made.
"I can't tell you Lis. I'm fine though. I've got everything under control. You'll see. Alright? Time for you to go to bed little one." he patted my head. "We're the same age dummy!" I scrunched up my nose as I yanked my head away from him. He smiled at me, but it wasn't his usual smile. This smile was strained, and I knew he was keeping secrets from me. "You're lying to me. Why are you lying to me? Whatever you're doing is making you sick, but you can't tell me." I took a step back and he watched me sadly.
He reached a hand out and I took another step back. "What is it? What can't you tell me?" the hurt was evident in my voice though my face was void of emotion. He took a hesitant step forward and then thought better and leaned against the wall. "I can't tell you Lis." he choked the words out and I could see he needed to talk to someone, but he couldn't. "That's fine, I guess. You can't tell me. I'm going to bed. I'll see you in the morning." I walked back to the common room dejectedly kicking the ground as I shuffled slowly.
I ignored the others and went straight to the dorm. I threw my clothes off and wrapped myself in a robe and picking up Maria. "Your uncle and dad are so mean sometimes." I pouted playing with the kitten. She pounced on the light beam from my wand and purred. "What should I do?" I scratched behind Maria's ears and she purred happily. I slipped into a pair of shorts and a tank before crawling into bed. Maria mewled in complaint and I picked her up humming and cuddling her as she drifted off. I threw all of my worries out of my mind and fell into a deep sleep.
I waited patiently for Neville in the courtyard Saturday morning. Laying back on the bench I stared at the sky trying to figure out what shape the clouds were in. footsteps approached slowly and I tilted my hand to find Neville watching me with a smile. "Why there you are! I was cloud watching." I pointed at a teapot shaped cloud passing overhead. His eyes followed my finger and he chuckled. "How long have you been waiting out here love?" he held his hand out for me and I took it.
"About 15 minutes. I had to make sure Maria was fed before I left." I wrapped an arm around his waist as we walked down the path to Hogsmeade. I smiled up at him and hummed softly. "Where are we going first?" he wondered as we got closer to the village. I grabbed his hand and skipped towards the sweets shop. We stopped in the Three Broomsticks for a couple of butterbeers and talked about nothing cuddled up in the corner.
"Are you sure you have time to spend with me? Don't you have to work on the songs for the meetings?" he tucked my hair behind my ears and pulled me closer. I was nearly in his lap and the scent of his cologne was intoxicating. "I have a lot of time. Besides our assignment from the company is to write several songs based off of our personal lives and turn them in to be examined. You're my muse you know. My inspiration, my reason for living, my everything." I kissed the corner of his mouth and a smile tugged at his lips. "So, you're using me to complete an assignment?" he pouted playfully.
"I'm in no way using you love. I can promise you that." I turned his face to me, and our lips connected in a sweet and gentle kiss. "Inspired yet?" Neville managed in between kisses. "Not nearly. Now shut up and kiss me." I smiled as he held me as close as possible. "So impatient." he tsked. I sat in his lap and pulled him into a slow kiss. "How's that for impatient?" I teased wrapping my arms around him and trying to calm my heart down a little. He bit his lip and looked around. I took advantage of his distraction and kissed his neck once before hiding my face in the crook of it.
"So sneaky Lis." he mumbled. I laughed and lifted my head enough to look at him. "Was I being sneaky?" I feigned innocence. He opened his mouth to reply but I turned around in his lap and took a sip of butterbeer. Hand in hand we walked back up to the castle and to the lake. I sat in his lap and we watched the clouds overhead guessing what shape they might be. I grabbed his hands and played with them in my lap. "I love you, Neville." I whispered as I cuddled up against him soaking in the sunlight.
"I love you too." he whispered back kissing the top of my head. I hummed softly taking in the sounds of nature and his breathing. Closing my eyes, I hummed a new melody I'd been working on and had been stuck on for a month. I felt his heart begin to race and new what the melody needed. "What are you working on?" Neville wondered softly. "I've been stuck on melodies for a month now and the meeting is coming up soon. If I can't figure them out, I'm toast." I sighed sadly. I started playing with his hands again and he laced his fingers and mine. "Did my little flower need a break from her studies?" he turned my head so he could look at me and I nodded.
I traced his features with the tip of my finger smiling when his heart began to race. I let my hand fall back into my lap. "Have I told you today that you're adorable?" he studied my eyes. "Of course, several times in the sweets shop." I smiled and moved to ruffle his hair, but he caught my hands before I could get close. "You are so adorable Lis." he kissed my cheek and hugged me tight.
The sun began to set and we got up and made our way back up to the castle. I skipped around him until he scooped me up. "I noticed something recently. You're really hyper in the mornings and evenings. What should I do about that? It should be even across the board, so you don't get worn out." Neville examined me carefully as he set me down in the Courtyard. I wrapped my arms around him hugging him tightly.
"Thank you for today." I smiled into his chest. "Anytime love. How about you spend some time with me next weekend too?" he sounded nervous and when I looked up, I found that he was looking away with a blush on his cheeks. "Do you even have to ask? Of course, I will." I turned his face back to me. "It's almost curfew time. Back inside you get." he led me back inside. "How can you tell me not to be awkward about being flustered and you do the same thing?" I mumbled.
He shot me a look and I whistled to myself as I made my way to the Slytherin table. "Did you have a fun day?" Daphne teased. I tilted my head in thought and then turned to her with a sly smile. "Whatever do you mean?" I smirked. "I saw you at the Three Broomsticks with Neville. Well, more like I saw you practically in his lap at the Three Broomsticks." she raised an eyebrow as a blush spread on my cheeks. "I don't know what you're talking about." I mumbled trying to calm down. "Yes, you do. Were you two on a date?" she poked my side as she teased me. "Blaise could you do something about your girlfriend?!" I pleaded as she began to tickle me.
Blaise slid Daphne onto his lap, and I caught my breath. "I just wanted to know if the princess was on a date." she complained from his lap. "I was not on a date. I'll be on a date with him next week." I giggled to myself. Pansy smirked and for the rest of dinner Daphne kept asking us what was so funny. I stayed up until dawn piecing together the rest of the melodies and fell asleep trying to fit the words with the melodies.
I groaned and rolled over when someone began poking me. The sound of muffled voices hit my ears and I put my pillow over my ears and tried to stay asleep. The sounds of multiple footsteps retreated, and the dorm door shut. I peeked out to make sure everyone was gone before cleaning up and curling up under the covers with my radio playing softly.
It was late afternoon when I fully woke up and Maria was pawing and meowing in complaint. I waved my hand and her food and water bowl replenished. She purred contentedly and I sat up long enough to brush my hair and take a quick shower. The others were still not back from dinner yet and I cleaned up their beds and left several boxes of sweets, notes to help them study, and mini spa kits so they could take a relaxing break from studying on their beds. I put my hands on my hips and decided to clean the dorm too and sprayed it with relaxing scents to help everyone destress.
Yawning tiredly, I changed into a pair of satin shorts and matching tank and curled up in my bed. Maria hopped up and curled up on my pillow and we fell asleep to the radio playing softly.
I stood beneath the shower water for a while thinking of where I was going wrong with my music assignment. I put my long hair up in a braided bun and slid into my uniform. The others were just waking up by the time I returned, and I put my homework and books into my bag and put Maria in her play area with fresh food and water. She was still tired, so I added a pillow I'd made for her and her blanket before waking Pansy and Daphne.
I had my head down on the table when the others showed up for breakfast drawing scribbles on my music assignment. "Are you stuck or something?" Theo mumbled. I nodded and kept scribbling. "I finally got the melodies down I just have to finish the lyrics by the end of the month." I muttered. Draco tsked and lifted my head taking my assignment and stuffing it into my bag. "You need to eat something Lis." he scolded and moved my bag to the other side of him when I reached for it. He slid a plate of food in front of me.
Grumbling to myself I picked at my food pushing the food around my plate. "You can't focus properly if you don't eat." Draco reminded me. I ate everything on my plate and held out my hand for my bag. Pansy ran in and hugged me. I shot Draco a look, but he just smiled and kept eating. "Your sister is so nice! You should've seen how clean the dorm was and she left us study notes, snacks, and spa care too." she sat in my lap still hugging me. Daphne nodded along confirming every word Pansy spoke.
I stuffed a waffle into Pansy's mouth and slid her onto Draco's lap. I nibbled on some toast while Pansy rattled off all the things I got the dorm. I gasped and reached around Draco for my bag. I pulled out two gift bags and raced over to Kat and Jess handing them their respective bags before returning to my seat. "I slept too late yesterday and forgot to give them their gifts too." I mumbled at Draco's questioning glance. He coughed and I stared at him in confusion. "Just how much did you buy Lis?!" he spluttered.
I stared at the Enchanted Ceiling while I thought. "Not much. You guys' gifts should be arriving in your dorm right about now." I smiled and stole a waffle from Daphne's plate. "What'd you buy?" Theo leaned across the table. "You'll see later. I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise." I was still trying to get my bag from Draco who'd taken it as soon as I'd left. "Cooperate with me please!" I begged him. He pushed my bag further away and slid more food onto my plate. "If I have to eat this much you have to start letting me go on my nighttime runs again." I pouted pushing the plate away.
"I'll think about and give you an answer by lunch." he slid the plate back towards me. I hmmed and continued eating until it was time to go to class. I walked slowly to lunch trying to work out the kinks in my music assignment. I laid down on a bench highly frustrated that I was stuck in a musical rut. Someone sat me up and I opened my eyes to find Neville staring at me. "Your music assignment?" he whispered. I nodded and tried to lie back down but he picked me back up. I whined and moved away. He sat next to me and slid me onto his lap.
"What are you stuck on?" he mumbled. "The words. I've been stuck on them for three days now. Can I skip the rest od my classes today?" I wondered. He shook his head. "You can't skip class. Come on you need to eat something Lis." he led me to the Great Hall and I went to my table. I nibbled on a sandwich while staring at the music sheets. Draco took the sheets and put them out of arms reach. "Eat. You can't focus if you're hungry Lis." he looked through the sheets. I bit my lip and tapped the melody out on the table and hummed along trying to figure out the lyrics.
A paper ball hit my hand and I looked up to see Neville shaking his head. "The two of you are teaming up on me again." I muttered. "Do you want to do our homework instead?" Theo asked hopefully. I tore off a piece of my sandwich and chucked it at him. Draco smacked my hand and bit back a laugh when he saw the sandwich chunk stuck in Theo's hair. I finished my lunch and held out my hand for my sheet music. Draco handed my things to someone behind me, and I turned to see Neville picking up my bag.
"I feel like a little kid being passed off from mother to father." I mumbled grabbing some more sandwiches. Draco was about to say something, so I stuffed a sandwich into his mouth as Neville led me from the hall. "Where are we going?" I asked as he led me up the stairs. He gave me a smile and wrapped an arm around me. We finished the sandwiches by the time we made it up to the alcove. "You have a free class right now." he mumbled sitting down. "No, I don't." I shook my head. "Your professor knows your in a bit of a rut and asked me to help since I have a free class. When you're feeling better, I'll take you back to class." he pulled me onto his lap wrapping his arms around my waist.
"I really need to figure this out though." I moved to get up and he pulled me back down and tightened his hold. I fidgeted some more, and he turned me around so I was facing him. "Just an hour and then I'll let you go back, ok?" he smiled. My resolve weakened and I stop fighting him. I bit my lip and stared outside. "You need a distraction. Did Draco agree to let you go running yet?" he mumbled. I gasped and groaned. "I forgot to ask him. he said he'd have a decision by lunch, but I was too distracted to ask." I closed my eyes mentally scolding myself for being such a one-track minded idiot.
"Lis?" Neville whispered softly. I hmmed in response. "Lis." he repeated. I opened my eyes to let him know I was listening. "Is this the first time you've been stuck?" he wondered. I nodded and ran my fingers through my hair in frustration. He cupped my face, so I was looking at him. "It's just temporary. You'll find your way out of this rut soon. I know you can." I smiled involuntarily at his words and rolled my eyes. "I got you to smile. I love that smile of yours. It makes me sad when you're not smiling." he mumbled. I leaned in close so that our lips were almost touching.
"Really. I'd have thought you like my eyes most since you're always making me look into yours." my voice held a light note of teasing. I laced my fingers and his as he thought. "I like your voice the best. It's a bit like honey and cinnamon. It warms you from the inside out. Your eyes are a whole other story. They're like a warm grey but not on the same level as Draco's cooler ones or Luna's silvery ones. But your smile, that smile of yours lights my entire world up. Your smile is pretty, your voice is lovely and cute, and your eyes, well they're the bow that ties the story of you together." he admitted.
A blush had spread across my face as he spoke, and he found it highly amusing. "It's not funny. What you said just not means a lot to me." I whispered. He broke out into a full grin and I kissed him. "What was that for?" he mumbled. "I like kissing you when you're smiling." I mumbled kissing him again. "I should smile more often. Or maybe I should never let you go." he chuckled. I pulled him into another kiss that lasted longer and was a bit more passionate. "I almost don't want to return you to your class." he whispered as he put his hands on my hips.
"I seem to remember back in 5th year someone telling me it was better to attend my classes rather than skip them." I sat back trying to catch my breath. He smiled at the memory. "We had to make you eat then too if I recall. You're really stubborn little flower." he tucked my hair behind my ears. I bit my lip and he pulled me close sensing I was about to start pouting. "Let's go down to the greenhouse. I have some plants to heal, and you still look like you need a break." Neville stood wrapping my legs around him.
"Ok. Am I not going back to class?" I wondered as he put me on his back and picked up our bags. "I told your professor if you weren't back in 20 minutes you wouldn't be returning." he replied as he walked down the steps. I clung on listening as he talked about a report he was writing for Herbology. He put me down once we were in the greenhouse and I placed my legs across his lap. "Any requests?" I asked taking my homework out of my bag. He shook his head and I started singing some of the songs I'd translated a while back.
Creatures from the forest appeared one b one with even a few centaurs coming to the forest's edge to listen. I finished my homework and walked around examining the plants. By dinner I was much more relaxed than lunch. I hummed happily as I ate. "Oh, I almost forgot. Did you have an answer for me yet?" I turned to Draco with a hopeful smile. He winced and I knew he was banking on me forgetting. "If not, I'll just get Neville to get me out of classes." I sighed. He groaned and rubbed his face. "Fine, you go on your runs again. Also, in your daze you missed a letter from mother." he handed me the letter and I could tell from the weight of it mother had nearly written a story.
I put it in my bag to answer when I got back to the dorm. "What did you and Neville do all afternoon since you didn't go back to class?" Daphne put an arm around me and winked. "He couldn't get me to relax in the given time he promised the professor, so I went to the greenhouses and sang while doing my homework. Why? Were you hoping I'd say something else?" I raised an eyebrow and turned to face her. She shook her head and went back to her food. "Told you not to test her." Blaise smirked. Draco ruffled my hair and I turned back to my food.
I stumbled sleepily out of the hall with Daphne. I faintly heard Theo whisper something to Blaise and Draco. My feet left the ground and I was on Draco's back. "Hey there brother." I giggled tiredly. I kicked my feet back and forth as he carried me to the common room. "You're paler than me now Draco." I mumbled poking his cheek. A small smile graced his face and I hummed happily. "Should I visit home more often this summer?" I whispered drifting in and out of consciousness. "Absolutely not. Wait for me or mother to send you a letter, ok? Don't come home unless we send for you first." he sounded serious and I lifted my head to look at him. "Ok. I won't. How's mother doing?" I put my head back down realizing there must be a reason I need them to tell me when to come home.
Draco looked away not meeting my eyes. "Not well. Aunt Bellatrix is looking after her. Write more often." he mumbled. I nodded. "I miss her. She knows that right? Even though I don't write home as much as I should." my voice sound child like even to my own ears. He stopped walking and adjusted me on his back. "Mother loves you very much. You know she loves us." he tried for a smile. I looked away refusing to meet his eyes. "I think mother loves you more." I sighed and took a deep breath.
I was scribbling a response for mother at breakfast when Katrina and Jessie sat down on either side of me. "Hey there girlie! How are you…" Jessie stopped talking suddenly and I looked up. She was staring at the entrance to the hall. I turned to see what it was. A unicorn had wandered into the hall and was making its way over. I finished my reply and sent it with the family owl. The unicorn sat patiently and people were gawking. I felt something brush my legs and I picked up the Niffler without looking and took my jewelry back.
"What is it? Do you guys want to show me something?" I sang softly. The unicorn got up and put its head on my shoulder. It put its head on Katrina and Jessie before going out into the courtyard. "What was that?" Kat murmured. "We've been summoned." I mumbled picking up some toast and wrapping it up. After grabbing some extra food, they followed me into the courtyard. The unicorn and the Niffler were staring at each other as if in a staring contest. I cleared my throat and the Niffler jumped. I tsked at the both of them and waved them onto the grounds. We followed then onto one of the paths that led deep into the forest.
I'd finished my toast by the time they'd stopped walking. There was an Abraxon laying on the forest floor. There was something wrong with it. it was breathing heavily, and its' eyes seemed unfocused. "Do you know what's wrong with it?" Katrina asked Jessie since she was the only one who had taken Care of Magical Creatures. Jessie knelt down and began checking the Abraxon out. The unicorn laid beside the Abraxon and looked at me.
I sat down with Kat and waited for Jessie's diagnosis. "Well, she's not injured." Jessie sat back and looked at us. Kat breathed a sigh of relief. "She's in the middle of giving birth." Jessie continued. My mind went blank, and Kat's mouth dropped open. "What the fuck are we supposed to do?!" Kat leapt up and looked around. I started humming a calming song while Jess continued to look after the Abraxon. "We can't do much but whatever you're singing Lis is helping." Jess mumbled. I winked at Kat who had calmed down enough to sit back down. They slowly joined in and the Abraxon calmed down and relaxed enough to begin giving birth.
"Is a baby Abraxon supposed to look like that?" Kat whispered an hour and a half later. The unicorn and Abraxon were both staring lovingly at the newborn. The newborn was quite obviously half unicorn half Abraxon. "Isn't this the most beautiful love affair you've ever witnessed?!" I sniffled wiping tears from my eyes. They stared at me, but I kept my focus on the newborn which was trying to stand. I began to sing an upbeat song to cheer it on.
We spent the rest of the day with the young family, and I laughed as the Niffler tried to teach the newborn how to walk. It was well past the start of dinner when we walked in. With heads down we hurried to our tables. Draco grabbed my hand and I sat beside him. "Where have you been all day?" he mumbled. "The Forbidden Forest watching the product of a love affair." I replied taking a sip of my drink. He coughed and shook his head.
I bit my lip and sighed. "What do you mean a love affair?" Pansy asked suddenly making me jump. "The child of a unicorn and an Abraxon." I chuckled humorlessly. Theo dropped his cup on the floor and Daphne's mouth dropped open. "That's where we were all day. The Abraxon was having trouble giving birth so we sang to help it then I sang to help the newborn learn to walk. It was almost as beautiful as the dragons." I sighed and smiled at the memory.
"You have a weirdly specific definition of beautiful." Blaise scoffed. I pouted and threw several pieces of pasta at him. I turned and pretended to be deep in conversation with Pansy. Draco pinched my arm and turned me around. Theo and Daphne were barely holding back their laughter. "Not funny." He mumbled cleaning himself off. "Zabini is right." Snape sneered flicking the pieces of pasta off his robes. I looked down at the table and nudged Draco. "When you are done here you are to go up to the Headmaster's office with Katrina and Jessie and explain where you've been all day." Snape's lip curled and he strode back up to the staff table.
I shot Draco a look, but he turned to talk to Blaise about some potions assignment they had. "Since I have to talk to the Headmaster does that mean my curfew is pushed back a bit?" I asked poking Draco's side. He let out a sigh and nodded. "Don't get in any more trouble though." he gave me a knowing look. I scoffed and turned back to Pansy sliding onto her lap. "Why is he so mean to us?!" I pouted.
I was on my way back from the Headmaster's office when I spotted Neville. Kat and Jess scoffed and hurried off to their dorms. Neville looked a bit mad and I walked over slowly. "Draco told me where you'd run off to. Did you get in trouble?" he pulled me close. "No, we may have to take Hagrid and Dumbledore to where the unicorn led us, but we won't get in trouble. I almost got in trouble for the pasta that hit Snape though." I admitted.
"You should've seen how worried Draco was today." Neville mumbled. I looked down. I'd forgotten how worried they got when I disappeared without saying anything. "Are you mad at me?" I whispered. "No, why would you think that? I was just a little worried is all." he kissed the top of my head. I rolled my eyes. "That's complete and utter bullshit and you know it Nev." I scoffed. His grip on me tightened and I looked away. "Look at me Lis. I'm not mad at you." he groaned.
"But you are mad." I pointed out. He lifted my face, so I was looking at him again. "Listen to me. I'm not mad at you. Ok?" he whispered. I thought it over and put my head on his chest. "Don't you still have a curfew?" he wondered. I pretended not to hear and busied myself with listening to his heartbeat and running my fingers across his shoulders. "I know you heard me Amaryllis." he mumbled. I let my hands travel higher eventually pulling him into a kiss.
"Your curfew." he whispered. "To hell with my curfew." I smiled. He shook his head and started to lead me down the stairs. I stopped walking and sat on the floor. "I don't want to go back yet!" I whined. Neville picked me up and put me on his back. "You're so mean! I'm not ready to go back yet." I put my head in his neck and grumbled. "It's bedtime for you little flower." he smirked. I kissed his neck and he stopped walking. "Don't do this love." he pleaded. I kept kissing his neck and he put me down. "Did I not speak loud enough?" his voice was low and he stared at me.
"Oh, wow! Would you look at the time. I need to go to bed. I'll see you later." I waved and hurried down the rest of the stairs. He wrapped his arms around me spinning me around to him. I was about to apologize when he kissed me. "Now you can go to bed." he whispered when we finally came up for air. Dazed I made it to the common room. "How'd it go?" Draco asked as I stumbled past. "How'd what go?" I mumbled.
"The meeting with the Headmaster silly!" he grabbed my arm and I stopped walking. "We're taking him and Hagrid to where the Abraxon and unicorn are so I'm going to bed early." I yawned. He didn't let my arm go. "The funniest thing happened earlier. Theo left a bit after you to wait for Katrina, but you didn't come down with Jessie and Katrina, did you?" Draco smirked. "Neville was upset so I was making sure he was ok before I came back. I forgot how worried you guys get when I leave without a word. I'm sorry." I mumbled.
He studied me for a moment and nodded. "Draco and Neville were equally upset and getting on everyone's nerves today." Blaise grumbled shooting Draco an irritated look. I smiled and hugged Draco. "How adorable! Thank you for worrying so much about me but you don't have to. I can take care of myself you know." I mumbled. "Yeah, yeah. Sure, you can Lis. I know you can take care of yourself, but you can't stop me or Neville from wanting to take care of you." he ruffled my hair.
I sat on a bench in the courtyard dressed in a square cut shirt, hip pleat skirt, and flats. My hair was up in a ponytail with the ends of my hair curled. I sat there soaking up the sunlight with a soft smile. "There you are. Don't you look fantastic." Neville walked over with a proud smile. He held out his hand and I took it. He spun me around looking at my outfit from head to toe. "Do I really look that good?" I wondered.
"You look lovely darling." he kissed me gently and held me close. "So, what is it you have planned for our date?" I wondered trying to keep myself from getting too kiss drunk. "A relaxing date. You've been worrying about your music assignment again even though you don't show it." he whispered softly in my ear. I'd been caught. "I'll admit I've been putting a bit more effort into trying to hide it." I mumbled kicking the ground. Neville wrapped an arm around me and led me down to the lake.
He'd laid a picnic blanket out and some snacks and butterbeers in a basket beside the blanket. He sat down and I laid down next to him. "Come here." Neville pulled me to him, and I put my head on his chest listening to his heart beating. I laced my fingers and his. "I heard from Blaise that you were just as worried as Draco when I disappeared." I murmured. He laughed and I tilted my head to look at him. "I might've been a bit more worried than Draco." a light blush formed on his cheeks.
I giggled and kissed his cheek. "Why didn't you just tell me? I'm very understanding." my breath caught when he looked at me. He raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "You're really good at understanding." Neville laughed. "I'm serious! I'm really good at understanding." I insisted. "Yet it took you how long to realize you had feelings for me?" Neville rolled onto his side putting an arm under my head as he moved. I bit my lip as I lay on my back looking at him.
"That's not a fair thing to point out." I whispered. "Your right. I shouldn't tease the one that said, 'I love you' first." he grinned. I gasped and lightly slapped his arm. "That's still teasing!" I blushed. He shrugged and I grabbed him by his collar pulling him into a kiss. "Don't tease me. I don't like it when you tease me." I mumbled against his lips. The kiss was steadily growing in passion and my hands found their way to his hair. We panted heavily as we broke apart. "I love you more than words can possibly say." Neville kissed me softly.
"Your kiss drunk." he laughed. I nodded and a satisfied sigh escaped my lips. "I love you darling. I really do." I ran my fingers up and down his arms. "I know you love me. I still remember when you tried to get me to delete the memory of confessing." his thumb brushed my cheek. I blushed and looked away. "Don't look away. If I'm a blushing mess you should be a blushing mess with me." he kissed me and I giggled.
I flipped us over and sat in his lap. "We're supposed to be relaxing. Why are you playing with me like this babe?" I smiled wrapping my arms around him. "It's fun. You have to admit you're more relaxed." he whispered. We joked around for the next hour just playing around in the sunshine. He made me a tiara out of flowers and I posed prettily. "You really do look like a princess." he grinned cupping my face and looking at his work. "Ah, there you go." I tsked grabbing my butterbeer and looking at the lake.
"I nearly forgot. I think I'm almost over this creative block." I sighed watching the giant squid playing in the shallows near several students playing around. "Darn, I was going to suggest we stay out here all night." Neville laid back on the blanket. I smiled and I leaned down. "Please tell me the offer is still on the table!" I pleaded leaning over him with a seductive smile. His eyes widened and I bit my lip. "Is it really the best idea?" he tried to backtrack, but I was having absolutely none of it. I softened my gaze and ran a hand up and down his arm. "Please! You could use the opportunity from when I said I'd do whatever you wanted." my hands had made it up to his face.
He pulled me down and our lips met in a passionate kiss. Neville rolled over on top of me deepening the kiss. "I don't want to use it yet. I have a feeling if I use it now I'll regret it." he admitted. I nodded reluctantly. "I guess I understand. Do you really want to stay out here all night?" I wondered as I caught my breath. "Of course. It's really clear out we might be able to star gaze." he winked suggestively. "You are so bad!" I laughed and put a hand on his chest pushing him off of me. "But you love me though." he laughed.
I went to smack his chest but he leapt up and ran away. I chased after him and he sped up running around the lake and onto the grounds. His around went around my waist and he spun me around. I jumped into his arms and he spun around some more. "You made me chase you." I whispered breathlessly. "And you made me wait all of 4th year." he countered. I opened my mouth to respond and closed it realizing he was right. "I'm sorry I made you wait so long." I apologized kissing him.
While everyone was distracted at dinner I changed into warm pajamas and met Neville back at the picnic blanket. He'd changed too and handed me a sweater of his. The sky was darkening rapidly and I curled up next to him. "Aren't you scared of getting in trouble?" he whispered as the stars began to come out. "No, I left a note for Daphne telling her to cover for me." I mumbled.
He woke me up at dawn so we could sneak back inside undetected. I showered and let y hair dry as I walked down to breakfast. We'd already come up with a cover story on why we were not in bed this morning. I sat down and started eating tying Neville's sweater around my waist. "See! I told you she would be in here!" Daphne scoffed as she entered the hall with Draco. She sat next to me and gave me a one-armed hug. "I hope you enjoyed your night out little princess. Draco is on a one-man mission to prove you were doing something stupid last night." she informed me before scooching closer to Blaise.
"Where did you go this morning?" Draco demanded. "I went on an early morning walk. I finally got over my creative block." I bounced up and down in my seat. Draco nodded at my waist. "Oh, I ran into Neville this morning and he gave it to me cause I was a bit cold. You're not a detective Draco. Why are you like this?! I've been behaving so well. Jeez, a girl can't even eat in peace without being getting questioned like a common criminal." I gave a fake sniffle and piled more pancakes and fruit onto my plate.
"Eating extra cause you missed dinner last night?" Draco was pouting now since I'd snapped at him. "I have a meeting with the company today to go over the music assignment. I have to meet Katrina and Jessie after breakfast." I mumbled hurriedly. Satisfied he went back to his plate and I finished the last two bites on my plate. The owls had just begun to swoop in with the morning mail as I finished my assignment. Theo spit out his juice when he saw the Daily Prophet.
"What is it?" Draco looked over but Blaise snatched the paper. I caught a glimpse of the cover and felt a chill. I slowly got up so as not to alert or set off big brother mode on Draco. "I need to get ready for the meeting." I mumbled making my way past him. I had just made it to the doors when he finally managed to get the paper and read it. "Amaryllis get back here right now!" he yelled. I took off for the dungeons thankful for all the laps the professor had made us run. I made it back to the dorm and started to get ready for the meeting.
I brushed my hair and set the curlers to work on my hair. sighing I decided to keep my make up light and then slid into a pair of fishnet stockings and an A-line skirt. Daphne and Pansy burst in out of breath as I slipped a lace tank on. "Where's the fire?" I joked. "YOU'RE ON THE COVER OF THE DAILY PROPHET AGAIN. MALFOY PRINCESS CAUGHT KISSING HER BOYFRIEND BT THE LAKE AT HOGWARTS! DRACO IS CAUSING A FUSS RIGHT NOW ABOUT IT." Pansy and Daphne yelled. I sprayed perfume and put my blouse and pumps on. "How are you not freaking out right now?!" Pansy gasped. "Because I have a meeting to go to." I mumbled looking at my reflection in the mirror. Daphne wolf whistled and Pansy smacked her arm.
I grabbed my bag with my music assignment and walked to the door. The curlers left my hair and it fell down my back in shiny ringlets. "Are you guys coming?" I asked looking over my shoulder. They were gawking at me. "You realize your brother and your boyfriend aren't going to let you wear that outside right?" Daphne blushed as I opened the door. "The meeting is in the music classroom silly girl." I sang sweetly. They stumbled after me as I made my way back up to the entrance hall.
Theo and Blaise had just calmed a livid Draco down by the time I made it there. Jessie and Katrina ran over to me as soon as they spotted me. We were dressed alike except for the colors of our clothes. I was wearing mint green and baby blue, Katrina was in pastel yellow and white, and Jessie was in ruby red. Draco spotted me and started shaking again. Theo turned to see what was wrong and pointed at Katrina. "Go change. Now!" Theo waved Katrina in the direction of her dorm. "Aren't you glad you boyfriend isn't here?" I teased Jessie.
Draco tapped my shoulder, and I was just about to turn to him when Neville came out of the hall. I hurried over and hid behind him. "I can't study with you today. I have that meeting and I think I'm grounded." I mumbled as Neville looked at me in surprise. I pointed at Draco who was now tapping his foot and waving me over. Neville blinked and turned to look at my outfit. "You should go change. Now!" he grumbled. I pouted and turned to Hermione who had just walked out of the hall.
I put a hand on her shoulder and whined. "Do you see a problem with my outfit?" I pouted spinning around for her. She blushed and looked around examining the situation. Before she could answer Katrina came flying down the staircase followed by Theo. She had not changed and was ducking around statues and students. "Katrina! Amaryllis! Jessie!" a familiar voice squealed from the entrance. Shrieking we ran over to our supervisor Elaine. Elaine was a full Veela. She kissed each of us as we went in for a hug. "I've missed you guys. I want to ask how this assignment went but first Lis darling. You ended up on the front page. Is that how you got over your creative block? Did you get la…?" I cut off her last question by covering her mouth with my hand.
Jessie and Katrina snickered behind their hands. "Jessie, would you like to take Elaine up to the classroom while we finish dealing with this." I waved at the angry Theo and Draco. The two started up the stairs and at the top Elaine turned back. "Don't forget we need to discuss the beach photoshoot today!" she smiled slyly and took off around the corner with Jess. "I am most definitely grounded for the rest of term." I groaned. "You got that right." Draco and Neville muttered.
I rounded on them as Kat was dragged off by Theo. "What beach photoshoot?" Neville grumbled. "That's your question. I want to know why you covered her mouth at the last question." Draco demanded. I waved Pansy over. "Can you make sure these too are friendly but not too friendly while I'm in this meeting?" I pleaded. Pansy's eyes widened. I waved Luna over too. "Pansy and I are friends now so there's absolutely no reason why you two can't be more civil. I want my two favorite people to get along, ok?" I shot them each a look.
"You still have answered us!" they muttered. I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Do me this favor and I'll repay you guys ten times over!" I pleaded with Luna and Pansy. They agreed and jumped up and down in glee. "Where'd you get the money to pay them?" Neville wondered. I pointed at Theo then Blaise. "Their presence is so enriching." I laughed. Kat hurried over grabbing my hand. "Hey guys. Is Elaine already upstairs?" another familiar voice called. I turned to see Dylan our producer/ Elaine's fiancé walking in. Dylan had a warm smile and the looks of a modern-day Greek Adonis. Luna pointed and then turned to me. "I'll fill you guys in later." I mouthed the words as Kat led him up the stairs.
I felt like I was forgetting something, so I kissed Neville before hurrying after the others. Elaine was already going through Jessie's work. Dylan sat on a desk talking to and joking around with the professor. I sat down with Kat and put my head on her shoulder. At lunch Dylan and the professor went down to get lunch for everyone. Elaine smirked as the door closed behind them. "Now that there are no interruptions you can answer my question from earlier." she shot me a look while Jess and Kat giggled.
"My boyfriend took me on a date and helped me relax is all. I can't believe you'd ask something like that in front of all those people." I blushed. "The brown haired one next to your brother, right? He kept his eyes on you the whole time. I had absolutely no effect on him at all." she smiled. I nodded trying to calm my blush down. "I saw the prophet this morning. You two never came to dinner yesterday." Kat snapped her fingers like she'd found the missing link.
"We decided to hell with my punishment we wanted to spend the night star gazing." I rocked back and forth on my feet. "I feel like we heard this line before." Jessie murmured. "We really were star gazing this time not just in a closet all night." I pouted. "Whoa! Back up! I covered for you and you were in a closet with him?!" Kat gasped. I shrugged and kept my focus on Elaine. "You really love him I can tell." She smiled and hopped up from her chair.
"As for you Katrina. You need to stop fighting so much with your boyfriend." Elaine scolded Kat. I smirked and Jessie laughed. "Did I miss something?" Elaine demanded. "Me and Jess have a theory that Katrina and Theodore fight so much because they love the making up part of it." I giggled. It was Kat's turn to become a blushing mess. "We do not!" Kat's blush darkened several shades as she spoke. Elaine turned to Jess who immediately stopped laughing.
"You're graduating soon. Does that mean you'll be having your boyfriend visit you more often since you won't have to deal with these two?" she questioned. Jess looked out the window and shrugged. "It depends on when he comes home." Jess smiled vaguely. "I thought you two were going to keep the princess out of the paper. Instead, I'm greeted by her straddling her boyfriend." Elaine scoffed tapping a desk. "That's the thing. She's technically grounded right now. She was supposed to be doing her music assignment." Jess turned back around shooting me a playful glare.
"I did my assignment and punishment had been lightened though I think as soon as this meeting is over, I'm going to be grounded again." I shuddered. "Was it worth it?" Elaine folded her arms. "More than worth it. I love Nev and I love my brother. I just don't know how to make them get along with getting myself in trouble. They're my two favorite people and they only get along when I'm in trouble or I'm in danger." I leaned back slightly staring at the ceiling.
"I know you love them." Elaine smiled. Kat and Jess shared a confused look and Elaine waved them over. They read the music I'd been working and turned to look at me. "I used my muses. I had a serious talk with Draco a while ago plus the time I spent with Nev. Is it good? I think it still needs a few tweaks." I twirled my wand in my hand making bubbles in the shapes of different music notes float through the room.
Jessie's music was chosen to be sung by an older singer, Katrina's for a musical, and mine was in progress. "I want you two to also use the muses in your lives to come up with a few songs and Lis you should broaden your writing range." Elaine was serious as she looked over our work. I nodded and put stacked the songs up. "So, what are this Theo and Nev like?" Elaine asked. The door opened and Dylan and the professor came back in with lunch.
The professor left to meet with the other 7th years to pick new recruits. "We need to discuss the photoshoot." Dylan hopped up and went to the chalkboard. "Where are you guys going for the summer trip?" Elaine grinned as she watched Dylan walk. "We're going to Hawaii. Great greenhouses and animal reserves. Not to mention excellent spas." I danced in my seat. "Don't get caught in something skimpy again. I saw your brother and boyfriend's reactions when I came in. I feel like if those two work together whoever harms you is in for hell, true hell." Dylan gave a fake shudder.
"They aren't that bad when you get to know them." I pouted. "So, you're going to tell them how you're dressing for the shoot?!" Kat gasped. "You know, I'm almost an adult and don't have to tell them everything. They'll see it when it comes out." I mumbled looking away. "No, let's tell them now and while we're at it, Kat can tell Theo. I can visit Jason while we're at it." Dylan waved us all out the door. Elaine skipped ahead with Jessie while Dylan pushed us unwillingly through the halls.
We found them doing a bit of studying with the other 6th and 7th years in the Great Hall. Draco's head snapped up as we walked in and he stopped talking to Neville. Dylan and Elaine led me over to them and they made room for me to sit in between. "Go on. Tell them. I need to go talk to Jason." Dylan ruffled my hair before hurrying over to hug Jason. "Explain." Draco and Neville growled quietly. "Jason is Dylan's little brother and Elaine is Dylan's fiancé." I mumbled. "And what are you explaining." Elaine wriggled her eyebrows suggestively.
"The photoshoot. We're going to Hawaii this summer and we're doing the photoshoot there. I think you can guess by the location how I'll be dressed." I couldn't meet their eyes but I could feel the anger radiating off them. "Time for little miss Katrina to go tell Theo now." Elaine giggled as she and Jessie led Kat over to where Theo was sitting with Blaise.
I glimpsed at them both through my hair and they did not look happy in the slightest. "I can try to limit what they put me in. Or I can write every day." I tried to lessen their anger. "One you already know your punishment hasn't ended. Two, mother sent me a letter saying you will be grounded until the end of the summer. Three, do you really think just because you send more letters we'll be happy about this." Draco growled. I turned to Neville for help but he was livid.
"In fact, we both agreed you should spend more time in the library studying." Neville mumbled. I whined sadly and gave Neville my best puppy dog eyes. His mood didn't change. I turned to Draco but he was having none of it. "Aw come on you guys!" I complained putting my head on the table and stomping my feet. "Oh, don't throw a fit Lis. You knew this was going to happen." Draco scoffed. I stomped my feet again. Grumbling I got up and joined Hermione and Daphne.
"Pouting? Throwing a fit?" Daphne grinned. "I'm grounded until the start of next year by orders of mother Malfoy." I scoffed rolling my eyes. I could feel them staring by I helped Daphne and Hermione with their homework. "There's no way I got that wrong!" Hermione grumbled flipping through her textbook. I was right and sighed as her head hit the table. "Oh, come on. It's not that serious. I can let you see my notes tomorrow." I offered. She looked up still unsure. "Part of my punishment is going to the library every day and studying." I confessed.
I gave them some studying tips before rejoining Jessie and Elaine. They welcomed me back with teasing smiles and we listened to Kat trying to talk her way out of her own punishment. When she'd finally given up, she had a year and a half punishment. "How long is your punishment?" Kat grumbled. "Just until the start of next year unless something stupid happens on this trip." I replied shooting Neville and Draco a glare.
Remembering something important I hopped up dragging Jess, Kat, and Elaine with me all the way to my dorm. I took out the swimsuits and laid them out on my bed. Maria mewled from her play area and I picked her up. She stared around while Elaine went through the bathing suits. "Were you bored Maria?" I asked. She meowed sadly and pawed the air. I gave her treat and she brightened considerably.
"You guys will be able to wear any of these just get it cleared with you boyfriends first." Elaine teased. I scoffed. "I'll wear whatever I bloody well feel like wearing. Fuck them." I pouted. Elaine carried the boxes of suits up with Jessie's help. I carried Maria with me because she refused to let go. Elaine scratched her behind the ears and Maria purred contentedly.
Dylan and Jason were just coming out of the Great Hall. Elaine skipped over dumping her boxes into Dylan's arm. "These are for the photoshoot curtesy of Ms. Malfoy who decided fuck what they think!" Elaine announced oud enough for everyone to hear. Laughing I walked into the hall and went over to Daphne and Hermione. Maria kept batting Hermione's books and walking over Daphne's hands every time she tried to write. I moved Maria back over to me and gave her a quill to bat around.
"Did you really say fuck what they think?" Daphne giggled. "I'm already grounded, what else are they going to do? I should be able to wear what I want to wear without answering to them." I waved in their direction. "You're going to be in so much trouble!" Hermione sighed. I winked playfully. "If I'm going to be in trouble, I should at least wear my string bikini, or I got another piercing or tattoo or go out to a party or get caught doing something stupid. I mean honestly, give me a legitimate reason why I'm in trouble besides the fact that my producer is Dylan and his little brother is Jason." I stuck my bottom lip out as I pouted.
Hermione and Daphne shared a look. "Thank you guys for the great idea! I should show them what I should actually be punished for, so they stop over reacting." I hopped up and kissed them both quite near their lips. "Come to think of it…" I trailed off looking at the Enchanted Ceiling. "No, no, NO, NO, NO!" Daphne muttered smacking my head. "I just had an idea for my next tattoo. Thank you, Hogwarts!" I clapped excitedly. Luna and Pansy walked over looking extremely uncomfortable.
"I thought I told you guys to watch the idiots?" I tilted my head in confusion. "They want a word with you." Luna mumbled. "No." I stated flatly. They groaned. "You can tell them that these two gave me some fan-fucking-tastic ideas. I'm going to show them what actually deserves a punishment, and they can thank our precious school for giving me my next tattoo idea. I'm going to go talk to Elaine and then I'm going to bed. Also, I don't want to talk to them for the next week, those petty bitches." I spoke loud enough for his roommates to hear and hugged Hermione and Daphne and because they were sitting in front of the Slytherin table my blouse draped enough for Neville to see the top of my lacy bra.
I picked Maria up and went to the courtyard where Elaine and Kat were soaking up the sunlight. Jess was helping Dylan and Jason take the boxes to the company. I summarized what just happened in the hall. "Merlin's beard! What the hell'd you do that for?!" Kat laughed. "I don't know! I was really really really mad but when I came out here for some fresh air it cleared my mind and I realize what I just did is stupid." I sniffled. Kat stood and put a hand on my shoulder.
"You can be a complete idiot sometimes." she smirked. "You have a longer grounding than I do. Should've used what your mama gave you to get out of it." I put a hand under my breasts lifting them as I spoke. Elaine burst out laughing nearly falling on the ground as Katrina blushed from head to toe. I skipped down to the dungeons and put Maria on my bed. She walked around the bed while I stripped down to my underwear. "Your uncle is petty and so is mommy's boyfriend." I pouted slipping into my pajamas.
I went to the showers early and cut my hair so until it was just touching my shoulders as I gathered my things for class. I was already in front of my first class and had eaten by the time the entire school had woken up. I doodle in my music notebook and waited patiently for class to start. A shadow fell on my notebook. "Are seriously ignoring me?" Neville muttered. I kept sketching pretending I didn't hear him. "Dean and Seams told me what you said yesterday. On top of that I know you purposely teased me when you were hugging Daphne and Hermione. Lis look at me. I know you can hear me." he continued.
He picked me up and put my things in my bag. I took a deep breath looking at the floor. he lifted my face, so I was looking at him. "Ok, so you don't want to talk. Then don't talk just listen. He placed my hand over his heart and with the other hand pulled me into a kiss. Our hearts began to race as the kiss became more passionate. He backed me against the wall not giving me a chance to breathe or think. "Make sure to be in the library after classes get out." he smirked running his hands down my body slowly. He left for his class leaving me there speechless. "I don't have to do a goddamn thing!" I screamed.
