After their first lesson they had that day which was history with Professor Oobleck, Shiro noticed something was bothering his team mate Naomi and tried to talk to her about it as he said, "Hey Naomi, what's up?" and Naomi just stared at Shiro for a few minutes before she deadpanned in reply,
"Nothing. I'm fine."
Before she then began walking off and Shiro just stood there and frowned a little, before he then started walking to his next lesson. When they had finished their next lesson which was Grimm studies with Professor Port, Westlyn was walking with Shiro towards the cafeteria for lunch when she noticed the frown on his face and asked him, "What's wrong Shiro? You're not normally this sad." And Shiro looked at Westlyn and let out a sigh as he answered,
"I'm not sad Westlyn, I'm just...frustrated because I want to help Naomi with whatever seems to be bothering her but she won't tell me what's wrong or what's bothering her."
Westlyn then looked a little surprised before she said, "Oh my mistake, maybe Naomi might open up to me if I try talking to her."
At lunch…
Shiro and his team mates were sitting opposite to team RWBY on a table in the cafeteria, when Ruby asked with a beaming smile on her face, "So, Shiro how is everything going with your team so far?" and Shiro smiled a little as he replied,
"Oh, umm things are going good in my team at the moment Ruby, what about your team?"
And Ruby blushed a little as she said, "Well, Weiss is still a little cold to me sometimes, but umm I still believe we will be BFF's in no time. I wonder how Jaune is doing with his team after he stood up to Cardin the other day?" Westlyn then leaned over to Shiro as she said to him with a smile on her face,
"I'm gonna try and talk with Naomi and see if she will tell me what's wrong, if she does tell me then I'll tell you after our next class."
Shiro just nodded his head as Westlyn shifted away from him to find Naomi so that she could talk with her, and Yang noticed this and so she perked a brow as she asked Shiro, "Something wrong Shiro?" and Shiro smiled and shook his head as he answered,
"No, nothing's wrong Yang, Westlyn was just telling me that she was going to work on the next part of our assignment for Professor Oobleck, that's all."
Yang seemed satisfied with Shiro's response before they all soon went back to talking with each other again.
Meanwhile, Westlyn shifted up next to Naomi on the table making her blush a little as she whispered in her ear, "Can we go somewhere private and talk?" and Naomi looked back at Westlyn and replied,
"Sure, this place is starting to bore me anyway."
So the two of them decided to walk back to their dorm room so that they could talk in private with each other.
Team SNOW dorm room…
Once both Westlyn and Naomi were inside their team's dorm room, Westlyn sat down on her bed and looked at Naomi with concern as she asked, "What's wrong Naomi?" and Naomi looked back at Westlyn and frowned a little and her ears drooped a little as she deadpanned in reply,
"Nothing. I'm fine."
But Westlyn could see that Naomi's face was telling a different story, so she said softly to her, "Something is obviously bothering you Naomi, and we want to help you whether it is to do with classwork or something a little more...personal. But we can't help you if you don't tell us what's wrong or what is bothering you. We care about you Naomi."
That last statement made Naomi look up at Westlyn a little in shock, before she then scowled at her as she scoffed, "Yeah right, you only care about me because we have to put up with each other for the next three semesters after this. I was doing just fine on my own before I used up the last of my lien to even pay the tuition fee at this Academy."
The room was silent for a few minutes as Westlyn frowned a little and tried to hold back a few tears before she eventually broke the silence as she almost choked in reply,
"That's not true Naomi, we care about you as a friend, all of us do. Including Olivia, we all want to help you with whatever troubles you might have. But we can't help you if you keep pushing us away and pretend that everything is okay."
Naomi then grit her teeth a little as she scowled at Westlyn before she growled, "None of you know anything about me or what happened to my family! I am so sick of listening to you guys talk about your families and how wonderful they are!"
Meanwhile, Shiro and Olivia were on their way back to their dorm room to join Westlyn and Naomi, when they could hear yelling coming from inside, as well as from Team RWBY's dorm as Shiro heard Blake yell, "Yeah? Well, maybe some of us were tired of being pushed around!" before Team RWBY's dorm room door flew open as Blake ran down the hallway past Shiro and Olivia who were walking the opposite way.
Then Shiro's dorm room door flew open after Naomi yelled, "My family was murdered by the White fang! Why can't any of you guys think about how I feel or considered my feelings when you sit there and talk about your families that you still have!" before she then bolted down the hallway past Shiro and Olivia.
Olivia then looked a little worried at Shiro as she said to him, "Do you think Naomi will come back? I hope she's okay." and Shiro let out a sigh before he looked at Olivia and smiled slightly as he replied,
"I'm sure Naomi will come back Olivia, right now let's just give her some space to cool off and continue working on our assignments."
Olivia then smiled slightly as she replied, "Okay, I hope you're right Shiro. I wonder what got Naomi all upset in the first place?" before she then skipped down the hall to their dorm room and Shiro casually walked behind her, before he was stopped by Ruby as she had a concerned look on her face as she said to him,
"I uh I see my team isn't the only one that has a person missing then, as it seems like you're missing a member as well."
Shiro then sighed as he looked back at his cousin and replied, "Yeah, and I want to help Naomi with what's bothering her, but she won't tell any of us what is troubling her and I don't know what to do." and Ruby smiled slightly as she said to her cousin,
"I umm I think the best we can do for now, is to try and look for them. I doubt they would have gone far."
Elsewhere...
In a warehouse by the docks Roman was looking over a map of Vale and potential next targets to steal from, when a member of the White Fang was wheeling a cart with boxes of dust and left it behind Roman and Roman let out a sigh as he said, "You're late." and the White Fang member frowned a little as he replied,
"Sorry. It won't happen again sir."
Roman then turned to look at the White Fang member while lighting a cigar in his mouth before he said, "Well, for your sake see that it doesn't happen again, we're on a tight schedule here people and we can't afford anymore delays. Am I clear?" and the White Fang member saluted at Roman as he replied,
"Yes, sir."
Then after Roman dismissed the White Fang member, he walked over to one the boxes on the cart and opened it and picked up one of the dust crystals inside and smiled slightly as he said while admiring the crystal in his hand, "Soon I'll be rich with more money than I'll know what to do with. Just so long as everything is shipped on schedule that is."
A/N: So Roman is up to no good again, and both Blake and Naomi have ran from their teams, leaving their team mates worried about them, what will happen next? Stay tuned to find out. Also I might end this volume in the next couple of chapters, I know I originally said I had ten more chapters planned but honestly I can't think of anything else to write.
