"Why?" Anya demanded having slipped back into her more demonic state of Anyanka demon face and all as she delivered yet another hard slap to the retrained man's face once struggling against her mother's hold when Gaea attempted to drag her away.

"Jenny. She- she is my daughter-" their captive tells them through tears.

"So, you sacrifice mine?" Gaea questions

"Elder One please, please - the poison wasn't responding to anything the coven has tried thus far- my Jenna is dying."

"Those people don't know who the girl is. They only saw her as a powerful vampire who also somehow has a strong connection with the Goddess herself. They simply wished to study her." he says as if repeating some weak sales pitch "If I gave her back to them, they said they'd cure my Jenny."

"Those people are the ones that poisoned her to begin with." Gaea growled "They saw the power Jenna Giles possessed, knew the coven she belonged to. Besides my daughter and I, Jenny is the strongest among you should they begin to move against the coven itself."

"But the Flynn boy assured me they simply wished to continue to study the girl after but were having trouble finding her after she'd escaped, with the aid of the witch that shared her room."

"He lied." Anya growled, "You sent my sister to slaughter."

"Jenna is my only child." The broken man sobbed. "I can't just let her die. Not when I can save her. Please Elder One you must see that as a mother yourself."

"And Tara is my only child." Gaea growls her fingers sharpening into claws that scraped in warning down both sides of the chair they'd restrained him to peeling the aged wood away like tissue paper as she straightens up backing away toward what was left of the sofa.

It had been too long since she'd shifted forms with the amount of magical energy, she was using up to keep the man restrained and alive given how angry Anya was at the loss of her adoptive sister, but Gaea pushes through the pulsing pain behind her eyes.

"But I thought-"

"It pains me to say but Anyanka is my child in title only." Gaea corrects moving her hand to cup her demon daughter's face with a tender touch that Anya returns by nuzzling her cheek against her mother's palm. "Tara, however, she is mine by blood." She admits watching as the man's eyes widen in terror when he realizes the full gravity of what he'd done.

"My sister is the rightful successor to the very coven you and the rest of your family have been a part of for generations." Anya reiterates as she prowls back and forth behind her mother like a caged panther. "and you gave her up to those monsters."

"While I left you that short time, I made two phone calls from this device," Gaea says before their captive could gather what little courage, he could to attempt to speak in his own defense holding up the cell phone, she'd borrowed from Anyanka. "The first to my daughter's love and the rest of his friend telling them where to find us after receiving weapons of their choosing to aid in rescuing my Tara."

"Humm Rambo Xander." Anya sighed licking her lips in anticipation. "Yes please."

"The second call I placed." Gaea went on allowing her second daughter her moment of lovestruck fantasizing. "was to Jenna herself to whom I was able to speak to personally."

"She is better then?"

"The poison hasn't completely left her, but yes for all intense she is better, but her recovery was not the doing of the Initiative. "Already the bound father was lowering his head already guessing what was coming next. "Jenna told me while she is grateful you attempted to aid her for what you've done in endangering not only myself but the life of the coven's successors and rightful heir, she renounces you as her father."

The rest of the discussion stalled with the door was blown open by a near hurricane-like blast of magic.

"Hi, honey we're home." Xander calls out with his normal comedic flare as he and Buffy slip past the levitating figure yet to move from the broken doorway.

"About dammed time you got here." Anya huffed gratefully falling into Xander's strong embrace before sending a much more pleased "You're in for it now, sic' em Red." Toward the terrified man looking as if he'd seen a ghost as Willow stepped into the room.

"But she's dead- Elder One she's-" Aaron Calendar's eyes flicker from the no longer dead Wicca before him to that of the cinnamon cat now held in the arms of the blonde that had come with her who seemed to be in the middle of introducing her to the dark brown-haired boy, she was also holding hands with.

"I hope it's alright, but I asked my boyfriend William to help us out."

"Where is she." Willow snarled her own magics wrapping in thick black vines around the man's limbs pulling the father's attention back to her.

"I-I don't know." He whimpers.

"Wrong answer." Willow snarls her eyes bleeding into an inky black as she looms over him.
