I've Got You Under My Skin!
Part 3.
Sitting at a small table, Chris sighed. Looking down at the textbooks in front of him. Why was college was all work and no play? That can't be fair there no way Cole had any type of fun at his time at law school. He couldn't understand how Cole managed to finish college.
A little spell couldn't hurt, Chris told himself. It would be innocent magic. No, harm could be done right? All he had to do was go back to the manor and look into the Book of Shadows. Chris then packed all of his textbooks back into his backpack and left the college library.
When Chris returned home. He looked around to see if Cole or Coop were in.
Seeing no sign of them he went straight up to the attic, his main goal being to search the Book of Shadows. He walked over to the stand and started flipping through the book's pages.
"Yes. Yes. Yes." Chris said to himself. He then took his notepad out and pencil and copied down the spell. He decided to use it. Could it work over the phone or would he have to see his teacher in person? Screw, he'll head back to college and cast the spell face to face. The young man made sure to lock the door behind him. But he would give his professor a chance to give him an extension without magic influencing his mind.
It didn't take him long to walk back to college and find his professor. Luckily for Chris, his professor was alone in his office. He knocked on the door to be polite before he entered. The professor was sat at his desk looking over some paperwork.
"Sir." Chris said announcing his presence to the professor.
"Mr Halliwell. To what do I owe this displeasure?" The professor replied.
"I was wondering if we could negotiate my coursework."
"You won't be treated any differently, to any other of your classmates. Christopher." The professor said in a harsh tone.
"I was wondering if I could have a tiny extension." Chris requested, please don't make me resort to having to cast the spell. Chris prayed in his head.
"Afraid not Christopher." The professor told Christopher.
"These words Will travel through the minds of stubborn parties and unbind. The thoughts too rigid to be kind. A compromise they'll dis-entwine."
"Of, course, you can have an extension, Mr Halliwell. I'll even do you one better. Consider yourself free of all your coursework." The professor told Chris. The boy was gobsmacked, he didn't expect the spell to work that well.
"Wow okay thank you sir," Chris responded before leaving the office. Maybe, Cole wouldn't be such a stick in the mud. If he had magic back in his college days.
