"And that era begins now." Morningstar said as she pulled out a revolver and shot the leaders square on the head on man at a time.
After all if you want a fresh start, there has to be some purging.
"Besides, Chernobog was a dead city anyways." Svaha thought to herself
"How cruel you have become, from that little girl I took when the invasion of Lungmen failed all those years ago." Came a voice that Svaha was familiar with.
"After all, you made me what I am now Kashchey." Svaha told the man, her tone filled with such venom, it could kill a man in an instant.
It has been hours after the public execution of the Chernobog ruling council at Morningstar's hands.
In is office Wei Yenwu was looking at the TV with a blank look, which he had turned off as soon as the execution of the Chernobog ruling council.
He had been wondering who Morningstar was ever since she made an appearance as the new leader of reunion 7 years ago, and from then on Reunion had become a force that no one should take lightly.
And honestly Wei wasn't one to care, all he cared was that Lungmen prospered, and its citizens were safe... And keeping the only promise that he was able to uphold.
If one were to ask Wei if he cared for anything, he'd respond with "Protect the city in my charge, and doing the best I can to protect my two nieces."
"Who are you Morningstar?" Thought the Shrewd Chief Executive of Lungmen as he picked up his phone.
"How can I bee of assistance Mr. Yenwu?" Came a male voice over the phone.
"Can you connect me with Mrs. Ch'en? There something that I need her help with." Said Wei.
"Understood sir, just a moment." Said the man.
Wei waited for a moment, until he heard the voice of his younger niece.
"Yes Mr. Wei?" Came Ch'en's voice in a Professional tone, this sometimes aggravated Wei at times, and wondered why couldn't either of his nieces refer to him as Uncle at time, but he also understood that they can't refer to him so casually as Ch'en and Talulah had to give an example, else junior L.G.D Operatives don't get any ideas.
"Ch'en I am placing you in charge in dealing with the Chernobog refugees, and setting up checkpoints to ensure that there wont be any Reunion infiltrators." Wei told Ch'en.
"Understood sir, anything else sir?" Ch'en asked Wei.
"No, as I said before just make the proper preparations for the refugees entering the city so to make sure that there won't be any Reunion infiltrator inside the city." Wei said.
"Very well sir." Ch'en responded, as she closed the phone and went to finish the assignment Wei gave her.
"So... What was that all about?" Asked Hoshiguma as she looked at Ch'en after the latter finished talking with the Chief Executive.
"The Chief Executive gave the order to prepare for a large amount of refugees coming from Chernobog." Ch'en answered as she put down the phone and began preparations for the Chernobog's refugees.
"Alright." As the response of Talulah and Hoshiguma as they followed Ch'en.
At Rhodes Island HQ.
Hours after extraction
"This is Pequod, requesting permission to land. Over" Said the Helicopter Pilot.
"This is Watchtower. Roger that Pequod, you have permission to land. Over" Said Watchtower.
"Roger that Watchtower. Pequod. over and out." Responded Pequod as he he began to land the Helicopter on the Helipad.
As the Helicopter touched down on the Rhodes Island Landship Rainbow team, Kal'tsit, Amiya, the Doctor, along with the USSG girls and the boy the rescued from the reunion soldiers, walked out of the Helicopter and were met with a Lupo woman in her early mid 20s she had dirty grey hair, amber eyes she was dressed in a sliver knight armor that was made off of metal foam and a dark-blue scarf, and a pair of dark-blue fingerless gloves.
"Welcome back everyone, It seems that the mission was a success" She remarked as she saw Rainbow team, along with Kal'tsit, Amiya, and the Doctor.
"That it has, Sif." Said Ash.
"We can discuss thing later we have gathered the group leaders to the debriefing room, we are waiting for your presence." Sif said as she made a sign to follow them.
"What is it Sif?" Asked Amiya.
"It'd be best if you saw it for yourself." Said Sif as she led them to the debriefing room.
"What's going on?" Doctor asked them.
"I've got no idea." Said Blitz as he along with the people followed Sif to the debriefing room.
"Send me the info later, I will take our new residents to their respective quarters." Kal'tsit said as she turned to the USSG girls and the boy.
"As you wish ma'am." Sif said with a Shrug.
"Alright, come along I will take you to your quarters." Kal'tsit said as she made a signal for the Chernobog survivors to follow her.
"Alright." Sonya said, as she along with the other survivors followed Kal'tsit to their new quarters.
"Hey Blitz, Ash, Frost, Tachanka!" The Rainbow six stopped for a moment as they saw two boys walking towards them, the boy to the left had white hair and yellow eyes, he was wearing a white short sleeved shirt, short pants along with grey pants and black sneakers.
And next to him was a Pythian boy around the same age, with dark turquoise, and eyes with red pupil, and was wearing trousers and boots, an black short sleeved shirt.
"Hello Eno, Sasha, what can we do for you lately?" Asked Tachanka.
"I was wondering if you could help in our combat training? Seeing that you have much longer combat experience." Asked Eno, which earned a cough causing the boys to turn behind and look at Sif, who quirked her eyebrow, this caused Eno to let out a weak chuckle.
"Sorry Mrs. Sif." Apologies Sasha.
"There's nothing for you to apologize Sasha, Eno should have been more careful with his wording. Besides we can deal with your training later, we have important business." Said Sif, to which the boys nodded.
"Very well then, see you guys later than?" Asked Eno.
"Sure kid." Said Ash as she rubbed his hair, and then the adults present went to the debriefing room.
In the Debriefing room
"It seems that everyone's here." Remarked Ash, as she looked at the debriefing room filled, with Rhodes Island operatives.
"Yup, let's just get this out of the way and prepare for the next mission." Said Sif causing team Rainbow to look at her with a confused look until Sif was tackled to the ground by a Lupo girl dressed in red.
Team Rainbow and Amiya couldn't help but chuckle at the sight, as for the Doctor was wondering what was going on, as he thought he was being led to a debriefing.
"Hi Red." Sif greeted with a tired tone as she wasn't in the mood for Red's antic and really wanted this briefing finished.
"Hi Sif, I wondered if we could play later." Red, told the older Lupo, which her response was a sigh.
"Later alright? You know I called you for a briefing." Said Sif.
"Alright." Said Red as she got off Sif and stood at the older Lupo's side.
"Now, if that's anything interrupting us let's get this over with." Said Sif as she entered the room, with team leaders present.
"Alright everyone as we all know, 60 minutes from now, the Nomadic City of Chernobog had an Uprising which was lead by Reunion forces." Said Sif as she pulled out the Execution video.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and girls. As you all know I am the Leader of Reunion, Morningstar. And I am informing everyone on Terra, that today Chernobog has fallen, it streets and building now lay in ruins and the City's leaders stand her with their knees bent before the very people they murdered and oppressed for just simply existing. And now with the Fall of Chernobog signals the beginning of a new era, where the Infected no longer oppressed, murdered or squashed under the boot of uncaring governments, simply just for existing. And that era begins now." Sif paused the Video as soon as Morningstar was about to pull her revolver.
"Once the Uprising was a success, the Leader of Reunion codenamed "Morningstar", publicly executed the ruling council of Chernobog." Sif said as she turned around to face the folk gathered.
"Ma'am?" Asked Nearl.
"Yes Nearl?" Sif said as she looked at Ansel.
"I was wondering, what was Ursus' response to Reunion taking over one of their Nomadic cities, one would think that with the empire's policy towards the infected, they'd respond swiftly to this Uprising." Nearl asked Sif which the Lupo shruged.
"Honestly, Nearl, the Empire so far has been rather hush about the Chernobog uprising, and we don't know their response until there is one." Sif said, and that Amiya raised her hand.
"Yes Boss?" Asked Sif as she turned her attention to Amiya.
"Do we know who his Reunion's current target?" Amiya.
"Well now that you asked, I suspect it' Lungmen, since that place has the 2nd highest tension among the infected and noninfected, with what the poor conditions in the slums, and by now I suspect that the Chief executive must have given the orders to prepare for the Chernobog refugees." Sif said as she gave an estimation on which city would be targeted next by reunion.
"Alright, if that's all I will go an grab our bear friend and make a call." Said Blitz as he got up and left to take Sonya and make a call.
9:43 pm Back in Chernobog
In the City hall
Inside the hall Svaha was sitting on one of the chairs inside the hall whilst she looked over the dead bodies of Chernobog's ruling council, with several Runion soldiers standing guard, you can call her a cold and callous, or a Butcher all you want, in the end of the day their death's were necessary to send out a message.
Besides, you have to wonder how many innocent infected were killed or sent to Ursus' "work" Camps.
"My my, what a mess has occurred here." Came a smooth female voice.
"Indeed, I'd believe that you'd be more discreet about the councilmen death." Said a male voice.
"Artorias, Maria." Said Svaha as she looked at the two lieutenants.
17 minutes Later in the Chernobog Garrison building.
"Where are they?" Asked a girl about 15 years old with black hair and pale blue eyes who wearing a Chernobog middle school uniform along with black boots and red stocking, as she walked around the room.
"We don't know where could have gone, do you think that the Reunion Soldiers outside got them?" Asked a boy about the same age.
"We can't think like that, they are still out there looking for a better place to hide." Said a girl of 14 years old.
"Hello? Is this thing on?" Came a male voice.
"Who is this?" Asked the girl as she picked up the radio.
"This Blitz, a Rhodes Island operator an intending to keep a promise our organization made." Said the man.
"How can we trust you?" Asked the girl.
"Well, why not talk to Sonya herself." Said the man.
"You can trust him Galina." Came Sonya's voice.
