Great Khan

On the other side of the mirror, they saw piles of gold, silver, bronze, and gemstones in the shape of coins, jewellery, and cutlery.

"Another Goa'uld treasure chamber? Next!" Godfrey Mutton ordered.

"Wait." Daniel Attwood pointed at the top of the mirror. "This is in a giant tent."

"Mmh, I know of no Goa'uld who would store his treasure inside a tent." Michelle Small commented.

"Maybe it is a nomadic Goa'uld." Archie Novak suggested.

"No, the pirate and merchant Goa'uld who don't permanently hold any planets prefer to store their wealth in spaceships and -stations." Sergeant Atwood retorted.

"Not a Goa'uld. Let's go then." Captain Mutton.

The four reached out to the mirror and went over to the other side.

"I see a small opening, there." Daniel pointed to their left.

Now they navigated trough the dunes of gold and silver.

When they reached the hole in the tent canvas Sergeant Attwood looked outside.

He saw some men riding horses, he recognized their clothes.

"These are Shavadai, quick get Michelle back through the Quantum Mirror."

"Shouldn't we all go then?" Doctor Novak asked. "What can these primitives offer us."

"They have the QM, who knows what else they found with their Stargate?" Godfrey Mutton said. "Corporal, Doctor, return to base. We'll continue observing the situation from here."

As Michelle Small and Archie Novak returned to the Quantum Mirror, the captain and sergeant took out their binoculars.

They quickly found the Stargate.

The Stargate activated.

The incoming wormhole was observed by a company of Simarkan horse riders armed with captured Staff Weapons.

A bunch of Jaffa in chains were led through the Stargate, they all bore the mark of Yu.

At front was a Second Prime recognizable by his silver mark he was followed by his family, then followed by rows of Jaffa al bound together with ropes.

After a few minutes Jaffa stopped coming through. Now out came mounted Simerkans, of all the world's tribes, followed by wagons carrying plunder. The wagons contained, captured Goa'uld technology, precious metals, and young or pregnant Jaffa put in cages.

"Excellent work Turghan." Moughal, the Simarkan Great Khan, congratulated his lieutenant coming back from off world. "Did you conquer the entire world?" The main impetus for the Simarkan conquests had been the need for more steppes on which their livestock could graze.

"I'm afraid not, Great Khan. It turned out there had been many Jaffa settlements on that world. After taking the city near the Stargate we had been forced to retreat. They were with too many." Originally Moughal and Turghan had been enemies, but the Stargate had allowed Moughal to gain the upper hand and now Turghan was one of his loyal lieutenants.

"No, worries. At least we have a sizable bounty of plunder and slaves." Moughal replied.

"Just to think, this here all started when that one merchant accidentally found the long-forgotten address to our world."

Then the two went off to join the counting of slaves and plunder.

Their subordinates had begun sorting the valuables by weight and metal and the captured Jaffa by gender, the men would be sent to off world mines.

Turghan pointed to the wife of the Second Prime. "Bring her and her daughter to me." As the commander he had the first pick among the women his men captured.

She had a defiant look as she and her teenage daughter were prodded towards Turghan by Simarkans armed with spears. As he looked at her face, he had to admit Yu's Second Prime had a great taste.

Turghan looked down so he could look at her face from up close. "What is your name?"

"Nesa." Her voice was filled with hatred.

He moved his hand through her hear. "So Nesa, I can't decide whether I first should bring you to my bed or your daughter. Do you have any recommendations?"

She laughed. "Do not think you will have the chance to despoil our honour, infidel barbarian. Your days are already numbered."

Turghan laughed. "How? Your so-called god cannot reach this place. We always do an intermediate stop on an uninhabited world. Even if he had spies watching the Stargates on his worlds he'll never know we are here."

Then a wormhole opened.

Nesa lifted a pendant from her neck. "This here has been your doom."

Jaffa stormed out of the Stargate; they belonged to Yu's own Imperial Guard.

The Simarkans opened fire with captured staff cannons.

The plasma blast harmlessly bounced off force shields projected by several low ranking Goa'uld.

Then the Imperial Guard opened fire, they were armed with the most powerful, most accurate, fastest reloading staff weapons the Jade Emperor had access to.

The Simarkans stood no chance.

The Imperial Guard soon switched over to Zat'ni'katel to avoid accidentally killing any POWs.

"Let's return before anybody finds out we are here." Captain Mutton put away his binoculars.

"And ask Hammond for permission to drop a bomb at this side so no Jaffa can follow us." Sergeant Attwood added.

Oshu, Yu's First Prime walked towards Nesa.

"Thank you." She spoke. "Luckily, you arrived in time."

"No, thank you." Oshu replied. "If it was not for the video crystal you left, we'd still be searching for this planet."

"All thanks to Yu's magic crystal." Nesa said. After the first raids on his planets, Yu began giving his Jaffa pendants containing a hidden camera. When they stopped on the intermediate planet, she had filmed the Simerkans when they dialled their home world and clicked her boots so they would eject the crystal which recorded the film in the ground. The First Prime had then found the crystal and gave it to a low-ranking Goa'uld.

"Now, I'll prepare to interrogate our new slaves." Oshu said. "We shall let make them work in the same mines they wanted to put our brothers to work in."
