A/N: Here I am!
Now I need to point something out with my Code Gundam: Wings of Rebellion idea. I can see that you are all excited about it but right now it's nothing more than really just a concept. I'm not that all committed to it, since Gundam Wing isn't exactly one of my favorite Gundam series, I just recently watched the whole series. I don't even have a concrete plotline or ending in mind or anything like that right now. The only thing I have confirmed is the final moment in the final battle of the story, and maybe a fight or two. But nothing else is planned or even thought up as. And if I did do it, it would be the Endless Waltz version of Wing Zero. I like that version much more than the original anime version, because of the wing-like thrusters.
But the point is, it's not concrete, just an idea I'm not even 20% sure how to pull off. So don't expect to see me writing it. If you all want to throw out plot ideas and story outlines, you're more than welcome to do so, maybe that could help me come up with an idea for the plot. It would have the same prologue as all the other stories.
So with that out of the way, let's get to work. You all wanted a breather chapter, so that's what this chapter will be before we get into the final battle. Keep in mind, this may be a bit shorter than the other ones.
Hope you all enjoy the chapter.
Also, I do not own Code Geass or Gundam 00. Both are works of Sunrise.
"We've received multiple calls from the Black Knights, the Knights of the Round, and Ribbons Almark," Kanon informed the recently appointed Emperor of Britannia. It has since been at least an hour after his declaration, and already he had more than two dozen calls from each of the three that Kanon listed in that time. "They all seem to not be pleased with your most recent actions Your Majesty."
"I did not do this to please anyone Kanon. I hope they realize that." Emperor Schneizel el Britannia reminded his faithful aid. "I've been on the sidelines long enough. It's time I take a more active approach against Lelouch. Ribbons and his group of Innovators have failed to produce any results since I permitted them to engage with him. I will deal with them after Lelouch is taken care of. And do not worry about the Knights of the Round, they will continue to remain loyal to the Empire, especially if it's an order from their new Emperor, who will give them a chance to avenge their previous ruler. As for the Black Knights, so long as they still believe I will give them Japan, they won't dare move against me. Without Lelouch, they are nothing but insects to be squashed. I will simply destroy them after I deal with Lelouch and the Innovators."
"Schneizel has refused to answer any of our calls! He now has his Damocles project fully operational! What do we do about this now?!" Regene demanded to know from her master as he calmly sat down on the large couch in the mansion he lived in.
"Calm yourself Regene." Ribbons said with a wave of the hand. "While I admit that his action did slightly surprise me, this is going all according to my plan."
Regene scoffed. "Really? How so?" She asked skeptically.
"Schneizel will now focus his full attention on Lelouch for the time being, choosing to ignore me. And Lelouch will also be too focused on stopping Schneizel and the Damocles to be concerned with me and whatever my plans may be. This makes it the perfect time to strike both of them." Ribbons explained with a sadistic smile as he rose from the couch and made his way up the stairs. "When Lelouch goes to engage Schneizel, and I know he will, despite how the battle will go, with either Lelouch or Schneizel claiming victory over the other, the victor will be too exhausted to properly counterattack against us, leaving them easy pickings. I hope that Schneizel eliminates Lelouch. Because while it would be dangerous to have a man like him in possession of a superweapon like the Damocles, it pales in comparison to the danger Lelouch presents with the Gundam and his Geass. Speaking of the former, how is the construction of the Reborns?"
Regene looked at a data tablet to find more information about that project. "It's about 90% complete." She reported. "We only needed the data we gathered from the 00 Gundam's battles to complete the whole Gundam. Now that we have that data, we should be able to complete it soon, before the time limit Schneizel set up is complete."
"Excellent." Ribbons said. "And make sure Memento Mori is prepared as well. Schneizel believes he is the only one in possession of a superweapon, but soon we'll prove how wrong he is.
"What do you mean we have more problems, Nina?" Lelouch asked as he, Kallen, and Rivalz were discussing with Nina what she was able to gather from a scan of the Damocles.
"I just recently learned something," Nina said as she then pulled up a diagram of the Damocles, "According to the schematics I was able to gather, the Damocles has a highly advanced float system that allows it to fly to extremely high altitudes, even up to 300 kilometers in the air."
"Okay, so what does all that mean exactly?" Rivalz asked, scratching the back of his head, not understanding why she was bringing it up.
"Well, I ran a few simulations for when the Damocles reaches that height." Nina began as she pulled up a simulation on her computer screen. The simulation showed the Damocles hovering about 300 kilometers above the Earth's surface. Then it showed multiple F.L.E.I.J.A. warheads being shot all over the world. "According to these simulations, once the Damocles reaches that height, it will be able to target any point on Earth and destroy it with the warhead within a time limit of 90 minutes."
The three froze at the implications.
"So that's what he's trying to do," Kallen murmured as it made sense to her. "He's trying to hold the world hostage with the threat of destruction to any city or organization that dares to oppose his regime."
"This is how the guy wants to achieve peace?! How is this peace?!" Rivalz cried.
"In a way, it's not so different to what Celestial Beings is trying to do." Lelouch suddenly said, shocking his companions. How could he compare them to the manic Schneizel is?! "He's using the threat of destruction as a way to keep the world in check. To keep them from starting any more wars. And that's exactly what we've been doing with our armed interventions. Threatening people that we'll come to destroy them if they try to start any wars. He's just found a more lazy way to do it."
The three that were with him looked down, contemplating his words. He was right. What Schneizel was doing was the same thing they as an organization was trying to accomplish. Did they have any right to try and stop him from doing what they were trying to do themselves?
"However," Lelouch's voice pulled them out of their thoughts as they looked to their leader, who was clenching his fists, "Even though we are using the same method to eliminate war, there are two clear-cut differences between us and him. First, he's talking about destroying an entire city and the surrounding area if they try to oppose him. A city full of innocent people along with those who desire war. We may attack a city, but we don't condone the death of thousands of innocent people if we can avoid it. We only seek to kill those responsible for causing war in the first place."
His friends nodded in agreement. Lelouch was right. While they may have the same methods, Schneizel didn't care if innocent people got caught in the crossfire, so long as he accomplished his goals.
"And second, Schneizel is someone who seeks to have the world be stuck in the present, unmoving and stagnant, you could hardly call it life. But we," Lelouch said, gesturing to those around him, "We seek the future. We seek to change the world, not into something complacent, but something better, something greater than it's ever been before. A world where people communicate, not through an exchange of arms but through an exchange of open dialogue and understanding. That's the kind of world we desire. And if someone who uses our methods to try and stop the world from embracing that future, then we'll just have to destroy them."
His friends' expressions hardened as they nodded with determination. That's right, no matter who stood in their way, they were gonna see this through to the end. And they were gonna be victorious.
The sound of hands clapping came from behind them. They turned around to see Ian was clapping.
"A moving speech Lelouch. And just the type of attitude old man Ruben was looking for when was looking for someone to pilot the Gundams." Ian said as he had a warm smile on his face. "It seems he made the right choice when he chose you to pilot the Gundam." Lelouch smiled in gratitude. But Ian's face soon became serious. "But you're gonna need a lot more than determination to win a fight against an Empire like Britannia and a group led by Ribbons. Thankfully," The man carried a sly smirk on his face, "I have just the tools and weapons to help you do just that. You three!" He gestured to Lelouch, Kallen, and Rivalz. "Come with me."
He leads the three down to a hangar where they work on the Knightmares and Gundams. Ian led the trio of teens down the hall and in front of a special red Knightmare that had just received a major upgrade. An upgrade in the form of a GN Drive attached to its lower back and sticking outward.
"Is that…?" Kallen looked in awe at the red machine she just knew was hers.
Ian smiled. "Kallen Kouzuki, may I present to you, the Guren GN-Type Special." He presented with a gesture of his hands. "Outfitted with its very own original Aeolia Shenburg GN Drive."
"This… This is… I can't even…" She turned and embraced Lelouch in a tight hug before giving him a quick kiss in gratitude. "Thank you so much for this!"
Lelouch, along with company, were confused. "Uhh… Thanks, Kallen…" Lelouch said awkwardly as he gently pushed Kallen off of him. "But I'm not the one you should be thanking. That honor goes to Ian." Lelouch told her.
Kallen blushed in embarrassment as she then turned and bowed in gratitude toward Ian. "Ah, no need to make a big deal about it," Ian said humbly, waving it off. "Besides, you gonna love it when you see the Flaming Halo." He said as he guided the three further down the hallway.
They then stopped when they came across a massive piece of humanoid machinery. It wasn't a Knightmare or a Gundam for that matter, it looked about the size of a Knight Giga-Fortress, with the inside hollow, enough for a Knightmare or Gundam to fit inside.
"I give you the GN Arms Flaming Halo." Ian presented. "Think of it as like extra battle armor, or a frame coat, for the Guren to use. It has extra-durable armor as well as a stronger and more vast weapons arsenal. It's powered by a GN Condenser, which allows the frame to store extra GN Particles and apply it to other systems to enhance performance." He finished explaining with a smug smile. "So, what do you think kid?"
He didn't receive a response right away, so he looked and saw Kallen was starstruck in awe at the piece of machinery before her. Ian had a small smile at the girl's awe. "Why don't you go talk to some of the technicians about some of the new systems and features present in the Guren and the Flaming Halo?" Ian suggested for Kallen, who nodded eagerly as she went back to where the upgraded Guren was. He then turned to Lelouch and Rivalz. "I got something to show you two."
He then led the two towards the 00 Gundam. For the most part, nothing was different from it, except the repairs they did on it from Lelouch's battle with Suzaku earlier. All except one detail. Its two GN Swords, which were usually stored on the waist of the machine, were now gone. And in their place was a brand new sword. This blade was larger than the previous GN Swords, it also had a thick green highlight around the edge of the sword, and it seemed to have a bigger rifle attachment.
"I give you the GN Sword Mark III!" Ian presented. "Unlike the GN Sword Mark II that the 00 originally had, the Mark III is a direct descendant of a previous Gundam's GN Sword, in terms of appearance. But the transition from Sword to Rifle mode is much smoother and faster than the original and much stronger thanks to the 00's Twin Drive System. And the green edge is made from the same material as the GN Condensers, making a large amount of GN Particles generate intense heat, so hot it's able to cut through almost all non-GN Particle enhanced material, with the right amount of power put into it. It's also able to turn it into a beam saber, covering the whole blade of the sword, which is beneficial to the Raiser Sword."
"Raiser Sword?" Rivalz asked.
"Oh right! Sorry. Got ahead of myself there for a minute." Ian chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head. "Let me explain. We recently installed a new system into the 00 Raiser after all the data we were able to gain from your use of it. The Raiser System. It harnesses the particles from the 0 Raiser's GN Condensers and then uses them up in Trans-Am increasing the 00's output to 300 percent, even 700 percent in some situations. It allows the 00 Raiser to use normally high energy costing systems without losing too much power. One of these systems is Trans-Am Raiser. It can theoretically allow you to be in Trans-Am longer than intended. It also can create that quantizing effect you sometimes can do. It also can create a massive beam saber, we call it the Raiser Sword. Its range can be extended so far that it can even go into space! It'll make slicing up warships like cutting butter with a hot knife!"
Rivalz seemed to be the most excited by this news, even Lelouch was greatly impressed. This would prove greatly beneficial in the battles to come.
"I'm gonna go check this out more Lelouch! I'll catch up with you guys later!" Rivalz said as he moved away from the two and made his way to check out more info on the Gundam. Lelouch looked back to Ian to see he still had a smug smile on his face.
"I assume you still have at least one more thing to show me?" Lelouch asked.
"You assumed correctly. Follow me." Ian said.
The two took an elevator down to the lower levels of their borrowed base. "We had begun working on this baby for a few years now in a separate location from Ashford Academy and the Island. We just recently brought it over to this base to finish it." Ian explained as they continued riding down the elevator as it arrived at its desired floor.
"Finish what?" Lelouch asked as they stepped out of the elevator into a large room, it was over 200 meters long telling Lelouch whatever Ian wanted to show him, it was big.
"This," Ian said as he looked over the railing and showed Lelouch what he was talking about. Lelouch looked over the railing and gasped at what he saw.
It was a ship. But it was unlike any ship Lelouch had ever seen before.
"Lelouch vi Britannia, I give you the CBS-70 Ptolemaios or the Ptolemy! The official flagship of Celestial Beings!" Ian announced. "This baby is capable of storing the Gundams and performing maintenance on them if needed. Not only that, but it's also able to use the power from the GN Drives of any suit equipped with them and use it to power the ship. This baby is one of a kind!"
"This is incredible!" Lelouch said in awe as he stared at the ship. With this and all the other upgrades and weapons they were receiving, they might just have a chance to stop Schneizel and the Innovators. Lelouch looked toward Ian with a grateful smile. "I don't know what to say."
Ian simply shrugged as he walked up to him. "Don't say anything." He said as he placed a hand on his shoulder. "Just make sure you do old man Ruben proud and change the world. Like you promised."
Lelouch gave him a determined nod along with a fiery determination as he nodded. "I will!"
"What do you mean you want the Lancelot repaired before the deadline Emperor Schneizel gave?" Lloyd asked. "Now I'm all for having my creation fixed up and in top shape, but do you see the state it's currently in?! There's no way I can fix it completely in that amount of time!"
"I didn't say to fix it completely. I said I just need you to fix the flight system." Suzaku corrected as he sat on a bench aboard the Camelot engineering team's designated hangar aboard the Avalon, his body heavily bruised and bandages wrapped around him. "It doesn't have to be the energy wings if you can't do it in time, you can just get it fixed up to fly, or even use a previous model if you have to. I don't need any of the weapons systems activated, I just need the Lancelot to be able to fly again and fly fast."
"Why though Suzaku?" Cecile asked as she came up to him, bringing more bandages to wrap around his injuries from his battle with Lelouch. "If you need to get somewhere, why not just take a normal plane or even another Knightmare? Why do you need the Lancelot?"
Suzaku couldn't tell them what he was planning on doing. His fight with Lelouch and Schneizel's most recent declaration had opened his eyes. He needed to do something, something only he could do, and he needed the Lancelot to do it. But he couldn't tell Llyod and Cecile what it was. Cause he knew they would try to stop him.
"Because the Lancelot is the only machine I trust to get me where I need to go," Suzaku told them. While it was the truth, he was omitting very important details. He just hoped it was enough to satisfy them.
Lloyd and Cecile glanced at each other wearily before the former just shrugged. "Well I was gonna fix it up anyway, so I guess I can get at least the energy wings fixed and the power core replaced before the big battle."
Suzaku smiled genuinely, the first on his face in a long time. "Thank you, Lloyd." He simply said as the scientist went to work on the damaged Knightmare while Cecile went to grab more bandages.
Suzaku took a deep breath. His mind and heart were now clear. He knew what he had to do. After his experience in C's World when he was fighting Lelouch, he finally understood what C.C. meant when she said he was essential to Lelouch achieving his goals. He thought she meant when he had let him go at Kamine Island, but now he understood what he had to do. Something only he was willing to do. And he was ready.
"No doubt Lelouch and his Celestial Beings group will be present to stop me. Can I count on the support of the Black Knights to help me in this battle to put an end to him once and for all? And if you need any incentive, I will promise you Japan once he is destroyed, after all, I am now the Emperor of Britannia." Schenziel said as he awaited the answer from the Black Knight Supreme Commander, Kaname Ohgi.
The other members of the High Command were filled with mixed feelings. While they did want to get Japan back as soon as possible and make Lelouch pay for using them, they were also beginning to doubt Schneizel. His ascension to the throne, destroying his own nation's capital just to make a point, and then threatening to bomb another city if Lelouch didn't surrender in three days. These actions made many of the Black Knights reconsider joining up with Schneizel. But it wasn't up to them, it was up to their Supreme Commander.
With a defeated sigh, Ohgi spoke. "We will be there." He declared, surprising some of the members. "We want Lelouch dead as much as you do, and we also want Japan back more than anything. So we'll be there." His eyes then narrowed at the recently crowned Emperor of Britannia. "But you better keep your promise and give us Japan once this is over. No more excuses!"
"Of course I will. Farewell Black Knights. See you on the battlefield." Schneizel said as he cut the communication line. Ohgi then sighed and looked down.
"What are you thinking Ohgi!?" Tamaki shouted in disbelief as he looked at his friend. "Why are we still going along with this?! After everything, that guy has put us through?!"
"I have to agree with Tamaki! I can't believe I just said that." Chiba shouted the first sentence, though she whispered the last part under her breath. "I hate Lelouch probably more than anyone here, but even I have my limits when it comes to those like Schneizel. We can't just keep going along with what he says!"
"Well, what other choice do we have?" Diethard asked. "If we're not allied with him, then we are against him. Do you see the power he now possesses? We wouldn't stand a chance against that level of power, even if we had the support of Zero and the Gundams!"
This went back and forth for a while until they had run out of points to argue. When silence enveloped the group, Tohdoh stepped up and asked Ohgi, who hasn't said a word since the transmission with Schneizel ended, a very complicated question. "Did you think you made the right choice here Ohgi?"
Ohgi was silent for a long moment. He then turned to them, and the others gasped at what they saw, even Tohdoh was surprised. They saw a man who was completely and hopelessly lost.
"I don't know." Ohgi answered, his voice just as lost as his face. "I don't know anything anymore. It was all so simple back then. The Britannian Empire was the bad guys, and we the Black Knights were the good guys. Even when we learned about Geass, we still believed we were the good guys, just that our leader was the worst of the worst.
"But now," Ohgi continued as he thought back to the recent events that had happened. The massacre at Ashford they were a part of, Lelouch stopping it with the Gundam and declaring his intent to eliminate war. The Knight of One threatened to attack Japan if Lelouch didn't show up to a duel, and the latter did show up, with the intent to have Japan be made free if he was victorious. Those Innovators. Kallen's defection to Lelouch's new group. Schneizel destroys Pendragon, declaring himself Emperor, and threatening to attack more people if Lelouch didn't show up.
But most prominent of all those events was Lelouch saving them from Suzaku earlier that day.
Why? Why would he save them? After everything they did? Why? He just couldn't stop thinking about it! It just played on repeat in his head over and over again ever since it happened! The image of the 00 Raiser saving them from the Lancelot siN. Even now as he was thinking about all this was that same image playing out in his mind.
"I just don't know." Ohgi finished as he made his way out of the room and to his quarters. He just wanted to be alone right now.
"That was brilliant, Your Majesty!" Kanon praised his master as they walked along the halls of the Damocles. "You managed to get the Black Knights to side with you, despite all that has occurred. How did you do it?"
"They simply acknowledge that I will be the winner of this fight. And I need only remind them of Lelouch and the 'promise' I made with them." Schneizel explained. "Once we have defeated Lelouch, launch a F.L.E.I.J.A. towards Horai Island." A Kanon's surprised look, Schneizel began explaining. "The Black Knights will never accept my world, so I must be sure to eliminate them. Then I will focus on the Innovators."
"I understand Your Majesty," Kanon said as he bowed. "In other news, the Knights of the Round have accepted you as their Emperor, securing their loyalty. We've also received additional support from Princess Marrybell and her Glinda Knights. She never really had any logger for the homeland and most of her family, to begin with anyway, so having her loyalty was easy enough."
"Good," Schneizel said as he continued to walk down the hall. "It honestly doesn't matter if Lelouch decides to answer my summons. Because once the time limit I've given him is up, Damocles will have reached 300 kilometers and be able to target anywhere on Earth. Lelouch will then have no choice but to surrender if he doesn't want people to die."
As Schneizel and Kanon continued to discuss their plans, another hidden figure was able to listen in on their whole conversation and record it.
3 days later. 5 hours before Schneizel's deadline.
As the sun began to rise over the horizon, Lelouch couldn't help but take it in for all its worth. This might be the last sunrise he would ever witness. While he had no intention of dying today, he also wasn't so naive to think this fight would be as easy as cake.
He was going against the two most dangerous opponents he's ever faced. One had always managed to outplay him, whether in chess or the battlefield when it came to strategy. And the other was a master manipulator who had extraordinary power and access to his GN Drives. This was going to be his greatest battle yet.
But before that, he decided to take in the rising sun, with Kallen by his side. They stood there on the edge of a cliff, taking in the view for what it was all worth. Standing side-by-side and hand-in-hand. It was truly a beautiful site for one to behold to anyone watching them. Two young lovers looking off into the sun together. It was truly romantic.
Sadly, that moment ended when Lelouch's communicator began beeping, signaling that they were ready. Lelouch turned to Kallen, searching her eyes to see if she was also ready, and with a fiery look in her ocean blue eyes, she nodded.
The Ptolemy was completed and ready to take flight as Lelouch and Kallen stepped aboard. Kallen went to enter her Guren while Lelouch decided to stop by the bridge.
As he stepped on he noticed a few new faces among the familiar ones. Among the latter was Nina seated at the consul that specialized in tactical operations. Sayoko was present in the copilot seat, turning back to give him a nod and a smile.
Among the former was a man named Lasse Aeon, Ian had recruited him. He was the main pilot and gunner of the Ptolemy. Along with him was Mileina Vashti, Ian's daughter, who was in charge of the CIC for Ptolemy.
In the supposed captain's chair of the ship sat Ian, who quickly stood up from the seat so Lelouch could sit down. "I hope you don't mind, I was keeping it warm for you," Ian said as Lelouch took his place on the chair as the older man moved to sit in a station behind him.
"I don't. Thank you for being so considerate." Lelouch said as he turned to the others. "How are we looking?"
"The 00, the 0 Raiser, the Guren, the Sutherland Sieg, and the Gouka Byakuen are all loaded up and plugged in. Their GN Drives are plugged into the Ptolemy's systems, giving us more power." Nina reported.
In addition to giving the Guren a GN Drive, Jeremiah's Sutherland Sieg and Orpheus' Byakuen were given the same treatment. The latter was done out of the deal for Peace Mark's assistance in the battle to come. They needed all the help they could get, and Lelouch could tell Orpheus held the same ideals as Celestial Beings, maybe he could even recruit the terrorist into his organization when this was all over if he accepted that is.
Pushing those thoughts out of his mind, for the time being, he got back to the start-up for the Ptolemy. Thrusters were all set, the guidance system was operational, the hangar doors were opened for them to launch at any time, all that was left was for Lelouch to give the order.
Taking a deep breath to steel himself, he opened his eyes, carrying a fierce determination. "Launch Ptelomy! Now!"
His orders were carried out instantaneous as Lasse threw the throttle and they blasted out of the hangar, the Peace Mark float ships following them.
As the G Forces that were pressured on Rivalz began to cease, he was finally able to take a relaxed breath. "Well, looks like we're off." He said as he began to stretch. "Maybe I should go to the bathroom now before I'll need a change of pilot suits before the battle."
He got out of the cockpit of the 0 Raiser and then made his way to the bathroom. But as he began walking around, his mind then dawned on an important realization: He had no idea where the bathroom was on this thing.
After helplessly searching for 20 minutes he finally was able to take a dump. After he finished up, he made his way back to the 0 Raiser to prepare for the battle to come. Only then did he realize he had gotten lost trying to find his way back to the hangar.
After a couple of wrong turns, he ended up in a different hangar. He was about to turn around when something caught his eyes. It was two large containers, about the size of the 00 Gundam. "What's in those things?" Rivalz wondered aloud.
"Hey!" Rivalz turned around to the source of the voice to see an engineer come up to him. "Shouldn't you be in the 0 Raiser Mr. Cardemonde? The battle will begin soon."
"Yeah, I know. Sorry, I just got a little turned around is all. First time on the ship and all." He chuckled as he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. He then turned back to the two containers and asked, "What's in those things?"
The engineer looked where he was pointing and smiled slightly. "Oh, those old things. Those are just some relics that the boss wanted us to bring aboard. 'Just in case' he said." The engineer waved it off as if it was no big deal. "Anyway, the 0 Raiser should be docked in the middle of the ship, just stick to the right and you'll find your way there."
"Thanks, man! You're the best!" Rivalz said as he then moved back down the hallway, still pondering over the contents of those containers. The engineer said they were relics. But if that was true, why did Lelouch want them aboard? The engineer said he did it 'just in case', whatever that means?
Though it shouldn't matter so much to him, as he had more important stuff to focus on (like the battle for the fate of the world), he just couldn't get the containers marked '0' and 'Exia' out of his head.
"Are you sure you're fit to do this Suzaku?" Cecile said as Suzaku sat in the cockpit of the, barely, repaired Lancelot, getting it ready for flight.
"I'm sure Cecile." Suzaku assured them as he finished the preflight check.
"Now be careful with this baby, okay now," Lloyd told the young man, his tone stern. "I was able to at least get the energy wings working to allow you to fly, as well as repair most of the hull, giving you at least arms to use. But the Lancelot is barely holding itself together as it is. So don't push it, or you'll risk having the whole thing fall apart on you."
"Don't worry, I'll go easy on it," Suzaku assured them with a smile as he moved the Lancelot down the launch ramp of the Avalon, which Schneizel had left behind, as he had already taken command of Damocles.
Before he closed the cockpit and took off into the sky, he gave Lloyd and Cecile one last look. The last look he was ever gonna give them. He then smiled warmly at the two scientists. "Thank you both. For everything. Goodbye."
Before the two could say anything to stop him, Suzaku closed the cockpit and shot off the launch catapult. The White Knightmare took to the skies for one last flight.
A/N: Hope you all enjoyed that breather chapter.
Now I know it's a lot shorter than my previous chapters, but my original idea was to make this one big chapter, so I just took a small portion out of the original idea and expanded on it. Hope you all still liked it though. Sorry if it's not my finest.
Now yes, I gave more GN Drives to more Knightmares. I also gave Kallen the Guren she uses in Resurrection. Though I named it the Guren GN-Type Special because it has a GN Drive. I thought it would be cool. I also gave her the frame coat, which I made into a GN Arms that they use in the Gundam 00 anime, Though it's still the same look as in the movie, I just gave it the name GN Arms instead of Frame Coat.
I also now gave the 00 Raiser the GN Sword MK III.
I also put in the Ptelomy, the one they use in season 1 of Gundam 00. I was originally gonna have its debut in the epilogue chapter, but I decided Lelouch was gonna need every advantage he had to fight his two greatest enemies. I also introduced some more Gundam 00 characters, I'll have more in the epilogue.
The Glinda Knights will also be making an appearance next chapter, and Lelouch will fight them, as you have asked. I'll try to make it good.
Now I have a problem with the next couple of chapters. I'm trying to decide if this fight should extend to space or not. Because based on how the final battle went in the anime, the fact they were in space was a key factor in how it all played out. So I don't know if I should have maybe Lelouch and Ribbons have their last hooray in space or if they should do it on Earth. I guess I could have the majority be in space, but then transition down to Earth where they end the fight. Let me know what you all think?
So without further ado, here's a preview of the next chapter.
The Final Game Part One:
Lelouch and Schneizel battle it out with their respective forces and weapons in an attempt to decide the future of the world. But as the two are busy fighting each other, Ribbons is making his moves to put both of them in checkmate. But all three are thrown in a loop when an unexpected factor rears its head in the battle to come.
Stay healthy and safe out there everyone!
