Chapter 7
Tanya Miller had been transferred under strict secrecy to Quantico. Her son Zack had received a severe beating in the prisons exercise yard. He was still alive but had suffered life changing injuries. Strauss and Hotch had gotten the attack reported, they had made sure the prison reported that Zack Miller died of his injuries. He had also been transported down to Quantico, he was currently in a medical induced coma.
Tanya and Zack were loose ends that the ring obviously wanted tidied up. Tanya sat opposite Rossi and Hotch in the interrogation room a broken woman. She had lost two sons one dead, killed by his Alligators. Henry had been taken into the care system. Her Zack had lost his sight in the vicious attack in the exercise yard. She might be a women who stole babies and sold them to whom ever had the cash, her family was the most important thing to her.
"What do you want agents?" Tanya asked Hotch and Rossi
"Tell us everything." Rossi replied
"I need protection for Zack and Henry." She pleaded
"Zack is under protection in the hospital unit here. Henry is being placed into protective custody and will be protected by an FBI agent in his own home." Hotch answered "once we have confirmed your information you will be handed over to the U.S Marshal service and enter witness protection. Remember your deal with the federal prosecutor means you tell us everything." Hotch told the worried woman
"Are you ready?" And she started.
Over the next four hours Tanya exposed the adoption ring to the FBI, Rossi and Hotch listened to everything feeling sick. She exposed what she knew but admitted that it was only the tip of the iceberg.
"Do you have records of the adoptions?" Rossi asked
"No, once they paid in full all records were destroyed." She answered. "Remember agent we offered a no questions asked adoption service. No trace of a body was ever found in 10 years. You only found us because of a stupid mistake."
Rossi looked at Tanya and felt a cold shudder descending his spine. How could a woman be so emotionless and cold about killing new mothers and selling their children. He uttered a few curses in Italian and text Emily to see if he could pop around and see the two princesses.
Tanya returned to her secure cell while the FBI checked her statement out.

Elizabeth escorted Rossi into the nursery, Walking through the door they both stopped and smiled at the sight of Emily and JJ fast asleep in the rocking chairs. Both women would die from embarrassment being seen covered in stains down their tops. Both women were exhausted from the constant needs of the girls.
"I'm sorry for the unannounced visit ambassador, I just needed to see that some good has come out of this nightmare. Listening to that woman's soulless voice just got to me for some reason." Rossi told the ambassador as he walked over to look at the sleeping Princesses.
A feeling of calm spread through Rossi as he looked at the two beautiful sleeping girls. The balance of good and bad reset inside him and the darkness he felt in his soul floated away.
"Thank you Ambassador, I needed that I feel centred again." Smiled Rossi.
"Would you like to join me for a cup of coffee, Agent Rossi?" Asked Elizabeth
"That would be nice thank you. Please call me Dave." He smiled
"Follow me then Dave and please call me Elizabeth."

Emily sat on the blanket with Vanessa while she amuses herself with her soft blocks on her tummy. JJ was busy blowing raspberries on Ellie's stomach much to her amusement. The two women were so oblivious to anything outside their little family bubble they missed the close scrutiny of the approaching woman.
"Peak-a-boo! I see you!" JJ tells Ellie and then tickled her sides
JJ just laughed at the squeal Ellie made each time she heard JJ speak.
Emily smiled to herself as she took a picture of the amazing sight of her wife interacting with Ellie. Suddenly Emily jumped as a voice of a woman near by made her jump. He well honed FBI supper sense didn't warn her of the presence of anybody. Emily looked up and smiled at the dark haired woman.
"Your daughters are so beautiful. I've been watching them play for the last few minutes. I lost my daughter a couple of months ago in a car accident." The woman smiled so sadly and started to cry
"I am so sorry for your loss." Emily sympathises and gently hugs the woman.
The woman very skilfully checked to see if Emily was carrying a concealed weapon. Emily was in Mama mode at the moment and didn't register this as anything else but a brief hug. The interloper walked away and all was forgotten as they concentrated on the playing girls.
After the girls started to get grouchy the little family of four collected everything and started back to the mansion so they could put the girls down for a sleep. Both Emily and JJ would be taking a little nap hoping the girls wouldn't wake up too soon.

Adele Murrin smiled to herself as she walked away from the the Jareau's she had gotten right up to them without either woman noticing. Emily wasn't carrying a concealed weapon and Jennifer looked like she wasn't. This was going to be easier than she thought, both ladies had bags under their eyes from obviously loosing sleep while they fed the little ones.
Driving away from the park she pulled her black wig off and tossed it onto the passenger seat. She picked up her cell phone and hit the speed dial. Once her call was answered
"They where clueless to my presence, we do it Monday morning get everything ready." Adele told the caller and ended the call

Monday morning found Shaun Murphy in the little wooded area in the park stretching a length of rope between two trees forming a trip wire. Ensuring the rope was taught and well hidden he walked away satisfied. He positioned himself on a bench with Jody Klarr wearing a brunette wig that matched Emily Jareau perfectly. Adele Murrin walked along a path talking to a red headed woman. Her name was Della Bride an actress that Bobby Miller used in his BDSM movies and a drug addict.
"Della, you know what you have to do this morning?" Adele asked
"Yes! When do I get my stuff? I need a hit." The desperate woman asked
"Once you've completed your first task. I don't want any mistakes do you hear me?" Warned Adele showing her the little bag of heroine.
Satisfied they positioned themselves in the little wooded area close to the area JJ and Emily brought the girls.
Everyone heard on their earwigs that the Jareau's had just departed the mansion and would be 15 minutes. Karen had been watching the gate of the mansion and would follow the two women to the park and then try and keep people away from the wooded area using her fake FBI credentials

JJ spread the blanket on the grass while Emily got the girls toys out of the bag.
"Who's up for some tummy time, how about you little princess?" JJ asked Ellie lifting her out the stroller.
JJ held Ellie into her chest as she watched Emily place Vanessa onto the blanket giving her a musical soft cube to play with. Emily was lost in the moment until
"You pair of DYKES! you don't deserve children." Screamed Della and spat into JJ's face
Once Della spat into JJ's face she ran off towards the trees.
JJ quickly checked Ellie was unhurt shocked at the sudden attack calming the upset girl. Emily was furious at the unwarranted attack on her wife and foster daughter. She hurriedly secured Vanessa back into her stroller and took off after the red headed woman. Emily was beyond furious as she ran off in pursuit.
Emily sprinted towards the gap in the trees she had seen the woman disappear into. She burst through the gap and lost her footing tripping over something falling flat on the floor. Before she could recover Emily felt herself being grabbed and her arms trapped by her sides. The red headed woman peers down into Emily's face and suddenly drags her nails firmly across her cheek making three deep scratches. Suddenly her attackers just ran off deeper into the trees without a word.
"Emily!" JJ screamed
Emily suddenly got herself up and turned back to her wife forgetting any further pursuit
"Are you OK?" JJ asked her wife
"Yeah, sorry Jen I lost it for a moment, all I could see was red. Are the girls ok?" A contrite Emily asked
"They are fine no thanks to their hot headed Mama. Your bleeding." A slightly annoyed JJ answered "you just can't run off like that anymore Emily you have two children to worry about now."
A chastised Emily just nodded and helped pack everything up so they could return home, their morning park visit cut short.

Once they knew the Jareau's had returned to the mansion Della and Jody returned to the site of the attack for act 2. Jody stood in front of Della and she started to hit her until she fell to the ground. Jody straddled the fallen woman and continued to hit her. Suddenly Della pretended to scratch Jody
"Cut! Perfect ladies." The iPhone camera man shouted
Filming Jody from behind wearing the brunette wig as she assaulted Della looked like it was Emily Jareau. Helping Della to the panel van they sat her down and placed a brown bag over her right hand to protect the skin under her nails. The two women tended to Della's injuries whilst a edited version of the complete attack had been made showing Emily running into the trees and attack Della without reason. The initial provocation had been edited out to make Emily's attack look unprovoked.
"Ready for the fun part?" Smiled Eleanor Shepherd.

After settling the girls down when they had returned home a still annoyed JJ took out her annoyance on Emily as she cleaned her scratches with hydrogen peroxide.
"Damn, Jennifer that hurts." Moaned Emily
"What if she was armed? You could of died running after her...did you even stop the think about the girls?" She asked angrily
"No!" Emily replied ever so quietly "I didn't think I just went all cavewoman and ran after her."
"Thank you sweetheart, don't ever do it again do you hear me?" Smiled JJ
Emily kissed her wife "I don't deserve you."
"I never said you did." Smiled JJ
The moment was interrupted by two crying babies needing a diaper change.
Both Emily and JJ changed the girls and forgot to report the attack to the police.

"Ma'am did you get a look at the woman that attacked you?" The police officer asked
"Yes! I'd seen her with her daughter and another women sat on a blanket. This kind couple also noticed her they said they think her name is Emily and she works for the FBI, she does that mind type stuff for them." Della Shakily told the officer
"Why did she attack you?"
"I don't think she liked the way I was looking at her daughter. She just got up and ran at me, I ran away screaming. I ran into the trees when she caught me...I'm sorry officer." Della started shaking and crying
Della was transported to the station and handed over to two detectives. Della had refused hospital treatment as she wanted to get this woman off the streets before she attacked someone else.
"I scratched her face with my nails, there must be skin under them that's when a kind bystander told me to do this, they said C.S.I was their favourite show. Detective do you think her child is safe with her?" Della emotionally asked
Della smiled to herself seed sown. Both detectives had children and detested people that hurt them. After taking her full statement and watching the bystanders camera phone footage both detectives feared for the young child.
"Detectives, the FBI have identified the women from surveillance cameras around the parks entrance. Her name is Supervisory Special Agent Emily Elizabeth Jareau she works for the behavioural analysis unit in Quantico. I have just spoken to her section Chief and advised her we are issuing an arrest warrant for aggravated assault. She has told me we have the FBI's full support. The D.A wants a full perp walk to show that feds don't get a free pass. I have informed child protective services, the Jareau's have just fostered two little girls form Story City Iowa. We need to do this by the book detectives, her mother is a U.S ambassador and has friends in very important places." Lt Warwick told his two detectives.
"Yes, Sir." Replied his detectives

Strauss walked into the Monday morning briefing in the round table room too the surprise of everyone.
"I have just had some very disturbing news. Agent Emily Jareau is about to be arrested for aggravated assault. She assaulted a woman in the park earlier this morning, all captured by a witness and her smartphone. I have told Lt Warwick he will have our complete support and will not interfere with their investigation. If I find out anyone in my section has interfered with this investigation they will be suspended pending charges. The assistant director wants it seen that FBI agents are not above the law. I forbid anyone in this team to contact Emily or Jennifer Jareau. Does everyone understand my order?" Strauss asked
She is met by a wall of silence from a shocked BAU team. It takes a few moments for the shock to wear off.
"Yes Ma'am we all understand." Answered Hotch
"With the exception of Dr Reid I want you all doing consults at your desks. Dr Reid the head social worker from Story City is escorting Henry Miller to D.C this afternoon you can leave and make sure everything is ready for him. Every one else especially you miss Garcia back to work. Do not cross me on this one." Warns Strauss
The atmosphere in the room was explosive after Strauss had gone.
"Hotch, who does she think she is? Emily is family she needs our help we can't just sit on our hands." A frustrated Morgan asked.
"I know a few people down town, maybe I just touch base and accidentally ask a few questions." Rossi smiled.
"I can do my thing and look at Emily's case on their computer system so we can see what she is facing." Smirked Garcia happy to help her friend
Everyone stood to walk out the room when Strauss returned with a huge grin on her face followed by four agents.
"Knowing this teams dis-regard for following procedure, I have taken you off call and instigated an internal audit of your cases. These three agents from the auditors will examine random cases with you. Miss Garcia this is agent Sloane from cyber crimes, she will be auditing your workstations and laptops. You will give them your full attention for the next week. Any questions?" Strauss asked her stare warning everyone not to dare.
Every one moved out accompanied by their new chaperon much to everyone's annoyance.

Emily waited for the police to arrive from the security gate. They had arrived asking to see her about an incident in the park earlier today. The unmarked police car arrived at the main doors to the mansion.
The two detectives walked over to Emily and JJ.
"Emily Elizabeth Jareau?, I have a warrant for your arrest. Please turn around and place your hands behind your back." The detective told a shocked Emily
Emily looked shocked and just shook her head. "No, what am I being arrested for?" She asked
"Aggravated Assault. Turn around and place your hands behind your back!" The detective asked again sternly.
Emily complied with his order still shocked. The second detective cuffed Emily tightening the cuffs a little too much around her wrists.
"Cut yourself shaving this morning?" The detective smirked
"What station you taking her too?" JJ asked
Detective Rory Richard handed his card over and told JJ what station she was being taken to. JJ watched as Emily was placed in the back of the unmarked police car for her journey to the police station.
