Chapter 7: Andromeda the Chained Lady
It was 2 weeks before Lucy's birthday and Layla and Jude had decided to get Lucy a silver gate key. They knew that Lucy wanted to be like her mother and be a celestial spirit mage. Lucy already had a couple f silver keys as she had Horologium and Lyra which she had received from her parents for Christmas.
The key that they ad bought her was for Andromeda the Chained Lady. Layla knew that Andromeda would look after her beloved daughter and help her whenever she needed it.
Time skip to the day of Lucy's birthday
Lucy had woken up early and was patiently waiting for her grandfather to arrive before she could open any presents. It was not long before Makarov arrived, and they all waited for Lucy to begin opening her presents up.
Makarov had got his granddaughter a beautiful silver dress that remined both Makarov and Layla of the stars. Lucy said thank you to her grandfather and then soon Lucy started opening her presents from her parents she was extremely excited as she soon discovered that one of them was a silver key she could not wait until she met whoever the key was for.
"Thank you, mama, and papa for all my presents and thank you grandfather for my beautiful dress".
Once Makarov had left to go back to the Fairy Tail guild. Layla and Lucy went outside so that Lucy could make a contract with her new key.
"Now Lucy, d you remember what you need to say in order to open up a celestial spirit gate?"
"Yes mum" Lucy replied to her mother.
"Gate of the Chained Maiden, I open thee! Andromeda" Lucy said as she turned away from her mother. Soon in front of them stood a beautiful young woman with long red hair and bright green eyes.
"Hello, master my name is Andromeda, I am the chained lady, I use chain magic and earth magic and I am available whenever you require me to be of service" the spirit said to Lucy. Lucy just stood there in shock as she had never seen someone with such bright green eyes before.
"Please don't call me master. I am your friend not your master" the little blonde said to the spirit. Now it was Andromeda turn to stand there in complete and utter shock at what had been said to her.
The spirit could only smile at her new friend before she got Lucy to close her gate.
Layla knew that if anything ever happened to Lucy would be safe with Andromeda by her side.
It would be in a few weeks' time that Lucy decided she wanted to start training to become and strong independent mage and this would happen with the help of Acnologia and her grandfather Makarov. It is also around this time that Lucy joins Fairy Tail.
