"Mer you ready" Mark called from the front door.

"I'm looking for my jacket"

"It's in my hand remember you told me told hold it."

"Oh yeah" Meredith said coming out of the room.

"You know you'd lose your head if it wasn't attached to you. "Mark chuckled handing her the jacket.

"Great news is you'll be there to remind me where it is." Meredith giggled as she walked out of the door.

Derek was in a mood maybe it was because it had been two weeks since Meredith came and she hadn't said anything to him that wasn't work related. Maybe it was because his ex-best friend who slept with his wife was here. He didn't know all he knew was that he was in a mood.

"Early Morning Doctor Stevens?" Derek asked handing his chart to the intern sitting at the nurse's station.

"Late night" Izzie shrugged

"Have you seen Meredith around I wanted to ask her about a patient of hers."

"Her and M-" Izzie started but stopped abruptly remembering who she was talking to. "She's coming."

"She and who" Derek asked interested at who M was.

"Maggie" Izzie lied "She's coming with Maggie."

"Oh" Derek said slightly defeated the information wasn't as interesting as he thought. "Is Meredith seeing someone" Derek blurted.

"Don't you have a wife" Izzie asked trying to get off the subject.

"That wasn't the question" Derek countered

"Thats always the question and I have to go." Izzie said grabbing her stuff

"So, she does have a boyfriend"

"I never said that"

"You implied it"

"Hey Izzie want to get coffee" Maggie said in an attempt to save her friend from the seemingly awkward conversation.

"Isn't Meredith supposed to be with you" Derek asked.

"Uh" Izzie said shooting a glance at Maggie

"Yeah, she didn't end up riding with me she'll be here later" Maggie shrugged "Come on Iz lets go before the interns come."

"Thanks" Izzie said as the pair hurried down the hall.

"Why would Mer be riding with me" Izzie said as soon as they were out of earshot.

"It was either you or Mark"

"You told him about Mark" Maggie whisper shouted.

"No that's why I said she was riding with you. But he does think Mer has a boyfriend."

"Mer's going to murder us" Maggie sighed.

"One Large Caramel Macchiato no whip" The barista said as she handed Addison her drink.

"Thanks" Addison said flashing a small smile. She should get Derek a coffee but it was pretty unlikely he would take it being as they weren't necessarily on speaking terms. It shouldn't affect her. They had fought tons of times over the years and they always bounced back. But something about this felt different maybe it was in her head but this fight didn't feel like it was ending soon.

"You know I don't see why we have to get our own coffee that's what interns are for" Mark griped as he handed the man working the coffee cart a ten-dollar bill.

"You know interns aren't coffee runners right?" Meredith giggled

"Yes they are" Mark shrugged taking the two coffees.

"Sloan's right" Alex said walking up to the pair "interns are useless"

"Both of you were interns at one point in time"

"I was an amazing intern" Mark boasted taking a sip of his coffee.

"So was I" Alex added

"Were not" Cristina laughed as she joined the group at the nurses station. "You almost killed someone because you didn't know how to put in an IV"

"Hey" Alex exclaimed shoving Cristina lightly

"Really Karev" Mark asked bursting into a fit of laughter.

"It's true" Meredith said in between laughs.

"I'll see you guys later" Mark said looking down at his beeping pager. "Love you Mer" Mark said kissing her cheek before hurrying off.

"Ew" Meredith giggled in mock disgust.

"And here comes the rumor mill" Cristina sighed nodding to a few nurses whispering and glancing in their direction.

"Forgot that about this hospital" Meredith groaned.

"Bye guys I have to go" Alex said looking at his phone.

"Is that the intern" Meredith whispered to Cristina.

"Yup"

"Did they sleep together"

"Probably."

"I'm having the abortion today" Cristina said after a few moments of silence

"And Owen" Meredith asked warily

"He's coming. We decide to adopt"

"Thats good." Meredith smiled taking a sip of her coffee "Like really good."

"I'm glad you're back Mer" Cristina said standing up

"Me too."

Derek had been in his office all morning planning a complicated surgery for a patient with Craniodiaphyseal dysplasia. He hadn't spoken to his wife in almost 2 weeks. He was tired and he had a surgery on an aneurysm in an hour he needed to get food.

While he his sandwich in the cafeteria he felt eyes on him and decided to just start prepping for his surgery.

"Can you pass me the chart for Karl Morgan" Derek asked a nurse who was whispering to an orderly

"Here you go Dr.Shepherd." The nurse said as she handed him the chart

"And you know the new surgeon" The nurse continued

"Dr. Sloan" The orderly asked.

"Yeah him he kissed her on her cheek."

Derek was interested now. It wasn't unlike Mark to do stuff like this. Especially in a new hospital full of women he never slept with. Yeah kissing someone on the cheek to get them to sleep with him was right up his alley.

"Wait Sloan kissed Grey"

Kissed who! This felt like a knife in Dereks heart. Mark and Meredith together it made him want to puke he couldn't even imagine his Meredith with mark. He had to hear the rest of the story

"What did Grey say" The orderly asked very interested

"She said EW. All I know is if that man kissed me there would be way less talking" The nurse said with a dreamy look on her face.

Derek was going to kill Mark what was wrong with him how dare he touch Meredith and his wife, but first he had a surgery.

Meredith shift had ended and she was waiting on at the front for Mark so they could go home when she saw Tuck running in her direction.

"Hi Tuck Meredith said bending down to hug the small boy. "Where are your parents?" Meredith asked looking around.

"It's ok. Where's Uncle Mark." The little boy said avoiding eye contact.

"Tuck" Meredith said sternly

"I ran away to find you and Uncle Mark. Do you know where he is?"

"We can go look for him why we look for your parents. Why do you need Mark" Meredith asked as she took the boys a hand and began to walk.

"Guy business" Tuck shrugged.

"And why can't you ask your dad"

"Ben's old he's like 100" Tuck said as they turned the corner. "Hey there's Uncle Mark" the little boy exclaimed as he bolted off.

"Hey little man" Mark chuckled as the boy hugged his legs. "What's up"

"I have to ask you a question" Tuck started

"Ok ask it"

"I have to ask you the question in private I don't want Auntie Mer to know."

"Why not" Mark asked rasing his eyebrows.

"Guy stuff comon " Tuck said as he dragged Mark around the corner .

"What do I get my girlfriend for her birthday" Tuck asked as soon as they were out of earshot.

"What" Mark said fighting back a fit of laughter.

"What should I buy her? Ben bought my mom diamonds for her birthday should I buy her that."

"Uh no." Mark chuckled bending down so he was at Tuck's eye level "Why don't you make her something like a bracelet.

"Hey have you seen Tuck he ran away screaming about how hes going to find you and if I don't find him before Miranda does I'm not so sure I'll have somewhere to sleep" Ben said hurriedly.

"Yeah hes around the corner with mark they had to talk about guy stuff" Meredith laughed

"Im a guy" Ben said laughing,

"Yeah according to Tuck you're 100 years old"

Before Ben could say anything else Tuck came from around the corner. "Dad" the little boy exclaimed.

"Tuck" Ben said sternly.

"Sorry Dad thank you Uncle Mark. Lets go find mom" Tuck said grabbing Bens hand and hurrying to the OR floor.

"Thanks again" Ben said before hurrying off after Tuck.

"You ready" Mark asked looking at Mer.

"Yup" Meredith nodded. "What was that about"

"Guy stuff" Mark smirked and wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

"Jerk" Meredith giggled ducking under Marks arm.

"You know you lov-" but before Mark could finish his sentence a fist collided with his face and Mark was on the ground.

"Derek what the hell." Meredith screamed.

"He was coming onto you" Derek shrugged

"I'm her boyfriend moron" Mark said standing up.

"What the hell dude" Alex exclaimed pushing through the crown

"He dese-" but before Derek could finish that sentence he was the one on the ground

"Mark what the hell" Derek groaned clutching his face

"I wasn't just going to let you hit me."

"You-"

"Derek Shepherd and Mark Sloan what is wrong with the both of you." Richard called from the balcony "My office now"
