Chapter 7: Darkness Rising (Part 6)
(At Autobot Outpost Omega One…)
Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Bulkhead & Arcee were all trying to figure out what Megatron's true plan was, regarding Dark Energon, and Terrorcons, while Ratchet was helping the Snell's, Rita Desjardin, & Erika Gogan, who were all monitoring and tending to Carrie White, who was still unconscious and recovering from being shot in the back by Starscream… None of the humans had left Carrie alone for a second, especially Sue & Rita, knowing of all she had suffered from her late mother's abuse to her humiliation and revenge on Prom night, resulting in the multiple deaths of all her tormentors…
But as everyone monitored Carrie's conditions, the screens suddenly started going static…
"Blasted Earth Tech again!" Ratchet said sternly again.
"It's not just you Ratchet, my computer's going wrong too." Sierra said, as her computer screen was going static too.
"You think the Decepticons are causing this?" Eleanor asked in concern and worry.
"Unlikely, the base is shielded from outside detection…" Ratchet replied in concern.
Just then, everyone heard Carrie's voice on the screens, screaming and crying, just as Sue and everyone noticed Carrie's body shaking and shivering, she was having nightmares…
The screens then cleared, while projecting everything that had happened to Carrie… from her mother constantly locking her in the prayer closet, to even Carrie's period incident in gym lockers, even leading to Carrie's Prom Humiliation, and destructive revenge, showing the extent of Carrie's power…
"By the All Spark…" Ratchet gasped in a horrified whisper.
"How is this happening?" Arcee asked in concern, as well as horror from what they were all seeing of Carrie's past…
"Carrie's nightmares & memories must be projecting on the screens from her powers." Ratchet said in realization…
Carrie's Memories continued replaying, as memories of Starscream making fun of Carrie's pain, leading up to Megatron torturously infusing Carrie with Dark Energon, causing Sue, Rita and co to gasp in horror, from seeing Megatron's twisted torture, along with his sadistic laughter. Finally, the memories of Carrie escaping replayed, but as everyone continued to watch in horror, Optimus & Ratchet noticed some co-ordinates on a screen Carrie had seen during her escape…
"Wait, Ratchet, those co-ordinate equations, keep a visual of them, see what they mean." Optimus said, as he wondered what Carrie had seen when trying to escape the Decepticon ship, and if it could help them figure out what Megatron's real plan was and stop it.
"I'm on it, Optimus." Ratchet replied, as he managed to save an image of the co-ordinates and equations, as Sierra tried to look and see what they meant as well.
"I know math when I see it, but that is one serious equation…" Sierra said, as she tried to figure what it meant…
"By the Allspark, Optimus, these are co-ordinates for a space bridge, and a vortex generator, somewhere in earth's orbit." Ratchet gasped from what he had learnt from the equation…
"Try finding the location of the generator, Ratchet, we also need to know where Megatron is preparing his army." Optimus said.
Just then, Carrie shot up and awake, with a long and loud gasp, as everyone turned to see her awake and alive, as she took in large amounts of breath, and her eye iris's glowing Energon Blue.
"Carrie!" Rita said in shock, as everyone was relieved that Carrie was not dead, especially after all she had been through with the Decepticons, as Sue & Rita both tried to gently hug her, without hurting her.
"S-Sue? Miss D-Desjardin? W-Where am I? W-Where are the D-Decepticons?" Carrie asked in stutters, as she noticed the Autobots.
Carrie eyes then glowed Dark Energon Purple, as she gasped in alert, before suddenly transforming her arms into Dark Energon cannons, and pointed them at the Autobots, thinking they could be Decepticons, as the Autobots and everyone tried to not alarm Carrie and calm her down.
"Carrie, it's ok, calm down, they're not Decepticons, they're Autobots, they're friendly!" Sue said, as she and Rita tried to keep Carrie calm.
"Take it easy kid, I was the one that got you away from the cons, before Starscream shot you in the back, remember?" Arcee also said, to calm Carrie, as Bulkhead and Bumblebee complied with her, as Carrie's eyes turned blue again, and her Energon cannons vanished, as Carrie then broke down, as Sue and Rita kept hugging and calming her down…
"She's lucky, I'm majorly surprised that Megatron's Dark Energon infusions on her didn't kill her." Ratchet said with surprise and concern.
"Carrie, I know it's early saying this… but do you know anything regarding what Megatron is up to?" Sue asked calmly, as Carrie tried to think.
"I think… I think he's gonna throw Dark Energon to somewhere called C-Cybertron, to bring forward his Decepticon army…" Carrie replied, trying to remember what she saw or heard when she was on the Decepticon ship. "I need to get that information to an Autobot Leader, the one that Megatron Calls O-Optimus P-Prime."
"I am Optimus Prime." Optimus said as he stood forward. "From what you've seen and heard Carrie, Megatron is no doubt bent on bending humanity to his twisted rule, with his army of the undead from our own home planet…"
"Undead?" Carrie asked in concern and confusion.
"Dark Energon resurrects dead Cybertronians, Carrie, for what we know…" Sue replied, as Carrie then realized what kind of power Megatron had infused into her with worry.
"Optimus, I've pinpointed the location of Megatron's space bridge, high in Earth's orbit…" Ratchet, said, knowing how far it was…
"Out of our Reach…" Optimus replied in a similar tone…
"Wait a minute… I know none of you can fly, or have alternative airborne vehicle modes, but why don't you just ground bridge there?" Sierra asked in concern.
"The ground bridge has limited range… stretched all the way into orbit, the Vortex could snap and scatter us to the stars…" Ratchet explained.
"Since Megatron is already likely in Transit, I'm afraid we must take that risk… Reaching the Space Bridge is only means of stopping him… Autobots, prepare for departure." Optimus said with determination, as Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Arcee prepared, while Ratchet feed in the co-ordinates, and activated the Ground Bridge...
"Optimus, if you leave me stranded on a planet teaming with humans, I shall never forgive you…" Ratchet said.
"Until we meet again old friend… Autobots, Roll Out!" Optimus called, as he, Bumblebee, Bulkhead & Arcee, transformed into their vehicle modes and drove through the space bridge…
The Autobots then exited the ground bridge, as the neared Megatron's space bridge…
"Autobots, Transform and gravities!" Optimus called, as he, Bumblebee, Bulkhead & Arcee transformed and magnetized their feet to the space bridge.
"Don't look down, or up, or left…" Bulkhead said nervously, as the Nemesis warship came to the spacebridge…
"So, from what Carrie said, Megatron's packing enough Dark Energon to raise Cybertron's dead?" Arcee said, looking at Optimus.
"And since we don't possess the means of disabling the spacebridge, nothing gets in, or out." Optimus replied, as he and the Autobots readied their weapons.
(On the Nemesis…)
"Hahahaha, Optimus Prime never disappoints… unlike you Starscream!" Megatron chuckled sternly, as he looked back at Starscream.
"No need for concerns master, Soundwave is locking onto Cybertron's co-ordinates, under my instructions…" Starscream replied nervously, but reassuringly…
(Back at Autobot Outpost Omega 1…)
Sue, Rita & Erika were keeping Carrie calm, as well as helping her to recover, While Sierra, Eleanor and William were helping Ratchet while listening to Optimus over com-links…
"It appears the Decepticons have sustained serious damage to their interstellar navigation system, without the Dish, Megatron won't be able to aim the spacebridge at Cybertron." Optimus said over the com-link.
"Don't the Deceptions know where your home planet is?" Sierra asked.
"Naturally, but Cybertron is many lightyears away, to reach their target, they're aim must be astronomically precise." Ratchet replied logically.
"If Megatron went to the trouble of rendezvousing with his spacebridge, he must have an alternate targeting system, a remote one…" Optimus said over the commlink…
"I think I know… what about giant size array in Texas, that's got loads of radio telescope dishes powerful enough to aim at Cybertron…" Sierra replied, while looking on her computer.
"This is not child's play!" Ratchet said sternly.
"Good thinking Sierra, we'll need to bridge there, alert and evacuate the staff." Eleanor replied.
"But it's highly likely that the Decepticons might already be there on site and within." William added in with worry.
"I can't access the dishes from here, the firewalls are too thick." Sierra grunted in frustration.
"You think, you'd be able to keep the Decepticons out?" Ratchet asked in concern.
"If I could get inside to the main computers, then yes." Sierra replied.
"But we can't endanger you Sierra." Eleanor replied in worry.
"Mom, it's not just us, if the Decepticons bring through their army from Cybertron, the whole planet is in danger, I'll give it a shot." Sierra replied, as Optimus agreed…
