Still Friends

Summary: Holly and Harry are still friends even if they did end up in different houses.

Even with the promise the pair of them made it still felt odd not having Holly around. Ron, was great really, he was, but Harry was used to Holly and even though Ron didn't understand why Harry didn't like the idea of Holly being in a different house. It, didn't change the fact that Harry was a bit depressed and everyone in the house noticed.

Everyone in Hufflepuff also noticed Holly short attention span. She was of before any of them could ask if she been around Harry always walking away before they could ask, most of the time a skip in her beat. Down the hall, humming away looking around through the castle.

Harry was just drifting. He didn't have Holly odd mumbles beside him anymore not as often as he was used to. Until letter started.

This wasn't new. Mr. and Mrs. Dane would often send letters to both Harry and Holly by the use of Hedwig, but now the snowy white owl flew to him on days he knew he shouldn't be getting any mail.

Opening the letters up he found himself with drawing. Harry of course, doing some questionable things, like killing a snake, meeting a shaggy looking dog and riding a dragon. He found words on the back written in Holly hand writing.

Still friends.

He smiled, but turned when he noticed someone sitting beside him.

"Did you know Harry?"

"Did I know about what Holly?"

"There's no moon yet."

"Moon?"

"Yes, will she not, called moon, but she has a name that means moon. Can't recall though. But she not here yet, but when she comes to Hogwarts you have to meet her. You have to."

"Why?"

"Because I like her Harry. She different a bit loopy, but different."

He packed up the letters as Holly stoke Hedwig white feathers.

It was nice to be beside Holly again, but the doubt in his mind still linger.

"Hey, Holly. Still friends?" he asked.

"Yep, still friends."

Yellow and red would do just fine and if anybody had a problem with a Hufflepuff student at a Gryffindor table. Nobody, questioned it. Any doubt in Harry mind about their friendship was washed away because now he knew that no matter what Holly and Harry would always be friends and nothing would change it.
