Hogan placed his hand on Mary's shoulder. Mary looked at the older woman who her father called Berlin Betty. Her eyes looked the woman up and down. The older woman was near or a little older then her Huntsman. She was a beautiful woman in Mary's mind. Her eyes closed while she lowered her head. 'How could Peter love me. This Betty is beautiful, and I am…' Her father's voice brought Mary out of her thought.
"No, Mary. Newkirk does not love her. He loves you." Mary raised her head and opened her eyes. Her eyes looked back at the older woman. The older woman was now making her way to the Kommandantur.
"I got to go and tell Will that she is here." Hogan said as he moved quickly to go into the house. Mary turned around and picked up hers and her father's bowls. She made her way into the house. Walking into the kitchen, she sat the bowls down. Mary turned around then made her way to hers and Newkirk's bedroom.
As she walked toward the room, she started to think about this woman again. The woman was perfect. Her body was a body that she knew that men liked. Her legs was long and slim, and her face was that of a beautiful model. Mary stopped and placed her hand on the sofa's edge. She felt the pain in her heart of her love. 'Peter will see her and go to her. How could he not love a woman that looks like that?' A tear fell from Mary's eye as she asked herself. Then she placed her hand on her chest. She didn't know if she could handle him leaving her. 'But I would let him go so that he could be happy.' She thought again. Then her brows narrowed as her Vater's words came back to her. 'She played with Peter's mind and heart. Peter fell hard for her, but in the end she didn't want him. He was heartbroken.' His words played back threw her mind as if he was standing there telling her this once again. 'She did hurt Peter so badly.' Mary thought to herself again. She dropped her hand and walked to the bedroom where her gold heart was sleeping still.
Mary opened the door and walked in. She looked at him while smiling a loving smile. Newkirk was asleep on his back and had his left hand on his chest, while his right arm was stretched out. Mary made her way over to her side of the bed and laid down. She moved closer to him, while laying her hand and head on his bare chest. Her smile grew as she heard his heart beat. She hugged him tight, but not enough to wake him just yet. 'I will miss this.' She thought. Then she felt his arm go around her waist and moved her closer. Mary looked up into the blue flamed eyes that she loved to look into.
"Morning diamond heart." He told her with a large smile. Mary smiled back at him.
"Morning gold heart." She said while moving herself up to his lips and giving him a kiss. Newkirk was surprise when Mary moved up more and was now kissing him longer than usual. Once the kiss broke he looked at her with a raised brow.
"Now that was one hell of a morning kiss." He told her with a large smile, but it fell some as he looked into her snowy blue eyes. "Mary what is it?" He asked her. Her eyes moved down onto the love bite that she had given him.
"She is here." Newkirk narrowed his brows and sat up.
"Mary who is here?" He asked her. His eyes widen as a tear fell from one of her eyes.
"Betty." She said in a low whisper. Newkirk's eyes widen at the name. He looked away then looked back at his love. He looked again to see the hurt and pain on her face and in her eyes. 'She thinks that I am going to leave her for that…' He let his thought trail off. He reached up slowly to move a piece of Mary's hair away from her face.
"Mary." He said her name, but she didn't look at him. Newkirk moved his other hand to the other side of Mary's face. He turned her head slowly to make her look at him. Her eyes locked onto his. He sighed as he saw the pain within his loves eyes.
"Mary, I am not in love with her. I love you more than anything. I'm not leaving you." He told her.
"But if you want to be with her then you can go with her. I just want you to be happy." His eyes widen when she told him this. He moved his hands down, then wrapped his arms around the young sadden woman. Mary let him move her around to where she was now sitting beside him. He leaned his forehead against the side of her head. Moving his left hand up to cuff the side of her face as he spoke.
"Mary, I will not leave you for a woman who shattered my heart. After she played with my heart and mind, Mary… I was going to commit suicide. The night you came here was the night I was going to do it." Mary's eyes widen at this. She moved back quickly and looked into his blue flamed eyes.
"Peter." She breathed out his name. He smiled at her and then spoke again.
"Mary, I was going to, but I couldn't find anything to do it with. Your father and everyone else, they had hid everything I was going to use. Then once I saw the daylight." He paused. "I was going to get something that day to be able to end my life with." He smiled at her with a loving smile. She saw the love within his eyes as he spoke the next words. "But I saw you and was told to protect the most gorgeous woman that I had and will ever see. I love you my diamond heart." Mary smiled at his words. Newkirk leaned in and kissed her on the lips. The kiss was of that of love and happiness. Once the kiss broke he rested his forehead against hers.

Hogan quickly walked into his and Klink's bedroom. He quickly stepped to Klink's side of the bed. He reached down and shook the older man. Hogan narrowed his eyes when Klink made a low moan and rolled over. Hogan pressed his lips together and thought to himself. 'Okay so now I know how he feels trying to wake me up.' A smile came to his face as he walked over to the other side of the bed. He leaned down to the man's ear. Hogan had to stop himself from laughing. He whispered in the man's ear.
"Will, ten prisoners escaped last night." He leaned back quickly to see the older man's eyes snap open.
"WHAT!" Klink yelled out and sat up quickly. He looked over when he heard someone laughing. He narrowed his eyes at the younger man. Hogan stopped laughing and smiled at him.
"Well good morning to you too love bug." His smile grew wider as he saw the look in Klink's eyes. The look was that of he wanted to hit him so badly.
"Robert." He said while holding up his hand, and pointing his finger at him. "That is not funny." Hogan chuckled at the older man. He moved back away from the bed so that the older man couldn't reach him, just in case he did want to hit him.
"Well I had to get you up quick." Then Klink watched as Hogan's face turn from a childish one to a more serious look. "That witch is back in camp." As Hogan said the nickname that he and Klink had given Betty, his eyes widen.
"What? Why is she back here? I was not told of her coming here." Hogan narrowed his eyes at this news.
"You didn't know that she was coming here?" He asked while the older man quickly got out of bed and moved to get his uniform on.
"No, I had no idea that she was coming here." He told him the truth. Klink walked into the bathroom. Hogan sat down on the bed and thought of why this woman was back here. Then he heard as his love walked back out of the bathroom. He looked over and saw the man standing there in his uniform trousers and his jack boots. A large lopsided smile came to Hogan's lips as he saw the older man dressed like he was.
"Lord I hope Mary will be alright, and that Peter tells that witch off." Klink said as he went to grab his shirt. He looked over at Hogan when he didn't say something back. He smiled as he saw the look on his loves face. "Robert." He called his loves name. Hogan shook his head and looked at him in the eyes. Klink raised a brow as he saw Hogan's face get red. He looked down at himself, then looked back at the younger man.
"Sorry, I just have never seen you look like that before." Klink smiled as he walked over to his love. Hogan's face got redder and the lopsided smile turned into a large grin. Klink reached his hand up and lifted the younger officer's chin, making him look into his eyes.
"You like what you see I take it?" He asked him. Hogan nodded his head. "Well we can talk about this later, right now we have to find out why that witch is back in camp." He told him and watched as Hogan once again made a pout with his lower lip.
"Okay fine, but we will talk long and hard about this." Hogan told him with a wink. Klink rolled his eyes and let go of his loves chin.

Klink and Hogan were now walking up the steps of the Kommandantur. They opened the door and saw Hilda standing there at the office door. She walked over to them while giving them both a hard look. Both men raise their brows at the young woman. Hilda then took her hands and pushed both of them outside onto the little porch of the small building. She raised her hand up and pointed her finger at both of them.
"Why is that bitch back in camp?" She asked them both. Hogan looked over at Klink when he spoke.
"I don't know why." Klink said while raising his hands up. "I was not told that she was coming here." He told the young woman the truth. He glanced over as Hogan spoke up.
"We both don't know why she is here. Do you know why?" He asked her. Hilda narrowed her eyes at the man.
"No I don't, but she said that General Burkhalter is coming here too." Both Officer's saw as Hilda looked back, then leaned in to them. In a low voice she told them. "She is with the Gestapo now." Both men's eyes widen at this. Klink leaned in and asked her.
"How do you know that?" Hilda rolled her eyes when she spoke.
"She is one of those women, who tries to out do every woman she is around. Like when she asked me if I was your secretary, and I said yes. Then that bitch told me that she was now a Gestapo agent." Hogan's eyes widen as he turned his head to look away. He had never heard Hilda speak like this before. He looked back when she spoke again. "Now I will tell you both this once." She warned them both. "If that bitch so much as looks at Mary the wrong way, I will kick her ass." Klink's eyes now widen as well. Hogan narrowed his brows together, when she had said Mary's name. Hilda and Klink looked over at him when he asked.
"Mary?" Hilda stepped closer to him which made him move his head back.
"Yes Mary. That bitch in there told me that she came to see her handsome Englishman. Then that will hurt Mary, and that sweet young lady will think that Newkirk will leave her for that succubus." With that Hilda turned and walked back into the small building. Hogan turned toward Klink.
"Succubus." He said with a large grin. Klink smiled wide and said without looking at him.
"That word does fit her." Hogan laughed lightly then followed Klink into the building. They walked into the office, and saw Betty sitting there in the chair looking at herself in a small mirror in her hand. She looked over at them and stood up. She smiled a sweet smile at them.
"Hallo Herr Kommandant, and…" She looked over at Hogan.
"Colonel Hogan senior POW officer here in Stalag 13." Hogan told her and with the sweetest smile that he could muster up. Klink saw this and smirked at this. He knew that Hogan didn't like this woman, and he himself really didn't like that woman at all.
"What brings you here?" He asked her. Betty looked over at him and smiled wide at him.
"I am here to see my handsome Englishman." She told the German Officer with a loving smile. Klink walked around her and made his way to his desk. Betty looked over at Hogan. Her eyes widen slightly as she saw him looking at her with hatred in his eyes. She turned her head back to the older man when he spoke.
"Well Corporal Newkirk is not going to want to see you." He told her. Betty smiled then moved closer to the desk.
"Now why would my love not want to see me?" She asked him. Her eyes widen at what she heard next.
"He is not your love. He never was, you told him flat out that you didn't want him, and that you never would want him. But you see he is with someone else who loves him very much." Hogan watched Betty's jaw tighten at this news.
"What do you mean, he had found someone else?" She asked him. Klink leaned back in his chair. Hogan smiled as he saw the joy within Klink's eyes as he told her about Newkirk.
"A very sweet young lady came here to the camp. She is Colonel Hogan's daughter. Her name is Mary. Newkirk is Mary's bodyguard to protect her from her step father. They have hit it off very well. They are both very happy and in love with each other. Newkirk, I say will not want to see you nor even hear from you. So if you are here to use him like before then I say you should go somewhere else and find someone else to use." He told her this with such joy in his voice. Hogan looked over from his love to Betty who was now tightening her fists. Then she loosen them, and placed her hands on the desk. She leaned in and told him.
"I am with the Gestapo now, and I would like it very much if you would bring him to me." She leaned in closer as she said the next few words. "Because if not, I can call Major Hochsetter, and tell him that everyone here is spy's. Then everyone here will be killed, starting with this Mary." She smiled sweetly at him. Klink looked over at Hogan. They both knew that this would happen. Klink then sighed, and told her that he would send Hogan to get Newkirk. Hogan watched as this witch stood up and smiled even wider. Then Hogan heard Klink tell Betty that she only got ten minutes with Newkirk in the VIP quarters.

Newkirk and Mary were laying on the bed. They were just laying there holding each other. Mary had her hand and head on his bare chest, while Newkirk was playing with Mary's hair. He heard Mary sigh deeply and move closer to him. He smiled to himself as she did this. It was then when the door opened and they both looked up to see Hogan standing there in the doorway. Newkirk narrowed his brows as Hogan walked over to the bedframe. He placed his hands on the bedpost and sighed a heavy sigh.
"Papa, what is it?" His daughter asked him while sitting up. Hogan looked up at her then glanced over at his best friend.
"Betty wants to see you Newkirk. Klink told her that she only has ten minutes with you." Mary's heart raced within her chest at these words. She quickly looked over at her love. Newkirk sat up and got out of bed. He put his shirt on and grabbed his jacket and hat. He looked over at his Commanding Officer.
"What does she want?" He asked him. Hogan shook his head and spoke.
"I don't know, but she is with the Gestapo now. She is in the VIP quarters." He warned him. Newkirk nodded his head then walked over to his love. Mary watched her love walk over to her. He smiled a loving smile at her.
"Don't worry my diamond heart. I will be back soon." He said then leaned in for a kiss. Mary kissed him then watched him leave the room. She looked at her father with worried eyes. Hogan saw the worry in her eyes and walked over to the side of the bed. He sat on the bed as he spoke to her.
"Mary don't worry. Newkirk loves you very much and will not leave you for that as Hilda puts it, that Succubus." Hogan smiled at his worried daughter. Mary smiled when her father said this.
-MN-
Newkirk walked to the VIP quarters where he was told that Betty was in. He walked up the steps then took a deep breath in slowly, and let it out heavy. He opened the door and walked into the house. He looked around the front room until his eyes fell on the woman that hurt him many months earlier. Betty was sitting on the sofa with her legs crossed, her hand draped over the arm of the sofa. She smiled at him with the same sweet smile that worked on him last time.
"Well, don't just stand there. Come in and sit down with me." She said and patted the spot beside her. Newkirk walked closer to her, but stayed standing.
"No thank you. I would rather stand." He told her in a hateful voice. Betty stood quickly, and walked over to him. She stood in front of him. She reached out her arm; while brushing her hand over his. She spoke to him in a sweet loving voice.
"Don't tell me that you are still upset with me with what happened before?" She asked him sweetly. As her hand touched his, Newkirk could feel his skin craw with disgust. He moved his hand out of her touch. Betty narrowed her brows at him.
"Don't touched me." He told her. She pulled her hand away.
"I heard that you found someone new to love you." She stated. He nodded his head and told her.
"Yes I did, and she loves me for me." He told her. Betty smiled at him, then narrowed her eyes.
"Really? And what can this Mary give you that I can't?" She asked. Newkirk did a sideways smile.
"She can give me the love that I have wanted for so long. She is perfect in everyway. I have to say that she is the most gorgeous woman that I have, and will ever see." As he told her this, he saw Betty's jaw tighten. She walked away from him then turned back.
"What makes you think that she will stay with you? She could be using you for her own little fun." She watched as a large smile came to his lips.
"She is not using me. Now, you used me for your own little fun." He told her with now a large smirk on his face. Betty narrowed her eyes at him. Then after a few seconds, she softened them. She smiled sweetly at him once again.
"So did you tell her that we, had made love?" She asked him. Newkirk felt his blood heat up with anger.
"No, because we didn't make love. You just rode me like a wanting whore." He told her. Betty's eyes widen at these words.
"Well you enjoyed it. Hell you even told me that it was the best that you ever had." She told him now looking into his eyes. Betty smiled at him as she watched his reaction to her words. Newkirk turned his head and lowered his eyes. He quickly looked back at her with narrowed brows and eyes when she spoke again. "Have you fucked your new little whore?" She asked him. Newkirk took a step closer to her.
"No I haven't. She is in control of our relationship, not me. I have learned from you to not rush in, to take my time. Mary has been through hell with her step father doing every kind of abuse to her. He tried to make her mindless. Hell he even thought at that time that she was his daughter. She tells me what to do, so that I don't send her into a flashback. I do love her very much, and I would never use her or hurt her like YOU DID TO ME!" The last four words he yelled at her. Betty backed up from the yelling man as he continued. "AND WHAT EVER YOU WANT FROM ME YOU CAN FORGET IT!" With that Newkirk turned and quickly walked out of the house. Betty jumped as she heard the door slam behind him.
-MN-
As Newkirk was walking back to Klink's private quarters, he felt himself get even more angry. He knew if he walked into the house like this then he would end up yelling at Mary, and he didn't want to do that. He then turned and made his way to the Kommandantur. He walked up the steps and into the small building. He made his way into Klink's office. Klink was at his desk doing paperwork, but stopped to look up as the angry young man walked into his office slamming the door behind him. As he stood up, he could see that Newkirk was very upset. He made his way over to the younger man slowly.
"What happened?" He asked him. His eyes watched as Newkirk paced back and forth. The anger that was coming off of the younger man made him nervous. The older man jumped some when Newkirk started to speak in a loud voice.
"That woman is a fucking bitch!" He told him while pointing at the VIP quarters.
"Yeah I know that, hell we all do, but what happened?" He asked him calmly again. Newkirk stopped and turned around to look at the older man. This time Klink saw pain in the younger man's eyes.
"Betty and I, had sex that night… she told me that she fell for me. I fell for it! She told me that she only did that for someone that she was in love with. Then after she rode me and… after the broadcast she…" He was now speaking in a low sadden tone. Klink watched the younger man raise a hand up to rub his face. Once he dropped his hand, he then dropped down in the chair that was behind him. The older man sighed and walked over to the now hurting young man. He moved the other chair to where it was in front of him, then sat down as the younger man spoke again.
"I know that it had been a long time for me then, but…how could I be so ruddy stupid?" He asked the older man. Klink sighed then spoke.
"She played with your head, then with your heart. You had just met her, and you have been starving for so long for someone to love you, to want to be with you. You were deep down hoping for that to turn into love, the love that you have with Mary." As Klink spoke Newkirk looked up at him with tear filled eyes. The older man was right, he had been looking for someone for so long after his girl back home had wrote him, telling him that she was getting married. She had wrote him and told him to find someone else, that she couldn't wait for him no longer. As Newkirk realized this, he looked away. When Klink started to speak again is when he looked back at the older man.
"That is why you fall so quick, and so hard for those that you hope will end your search. I know first hand about that. After Everett died, I did the same thing. I was ready to marry any woman that would say yes to me. I found a woman that did say yes, and I thought I was happy, but I knew that I was fooling myself. I knew that she only wanted me for my money and nothing else. I was going to marry her, but she did what this Lizzie did to Robert. She found someone with more money and could get her whatever she wanted. When she left me, yes I was downhearted, but I was actually sadden as well." Klink closed his eyes and thought back on that part of his past. He opened his eyes when he heard the younger man ask him.
"Why sadden?" Klink smiled a small sadden smile.
"She had a son named Elias. You remind me of him in so many ways. When I told Elias that his mother was not going to marry me, he was heartbroken." Klink closed his eyes once again. Newkirk could see that the older man was trying to stop himself from showing the hurt within his eyes.
"What happened to him?" He asked. The older man opened his eyes, while looking up with tears in his eyes he spoke.
"A few years later, he was in a relationship with a young woman. The young woman played with his heart and mind, like Betty did to you. I was devastated when I heard that she had left him and he… he took his own life. He had wrote a letter to me, saying that he could never find happiness or anyone to love him. I loved that boy, and I saw him as my son." Newkirk's eyes widen when he heard this, then they widen even more.
"That's why you were so worried about me, after Betty shattered my heart. You knew that I was going to do the same, and I had thought of the same thing as he did." The younger man closed his eyes as the older one spoke to him in a fatherly voice that he had never heard before, not even from his own father.
"Yes I was so worried about you. I had told Robert to watch you, and I knew that your friends were watching you as well. I had went through that once, and I didn't want to bury you knowing that you did the same thing as my son did. In away I do see you as my son, hell there has been a handful of times I had almost called you son or Elias. You asked me yesterday why I called you by your first name. It is because if I don't then I might call you son." Newkirk felt tears come to his own eyes. He had never thought that anyone could see him as a son or even want too. He watched as Klink reached over and placed a hand onto his.
"I know that you don't want me to call you that, but I will give you some fatherly advice. You need to tell Mary, before Betty does." Newkirk nodded his head as he stood up. Klink stood up and was about to turn to walk back around his desk, when the younger man hugged him tightly. This took the older man aback by this, mainly when he heard Newkirk say.
"You can call me son." Klink moved his arms up and hugged the younger man. Then he spoke to him.
"I don't think your father would like that." He was shocked when Newkirk ended the hug and told him the truth.
"My mum and dad were never there. My older sister Mavis raised me. Mum and dad were always away on some trip somewhere. After my sister got married, I raised myself. So I have never really had anyone see me as a son or want too. So I don't mind at all." As he spoke he kept his eyes down on the floor. Klink smiled and told him.
"Alright…Son you need to tell Mary before the Succubus does." Newkirk looked back up at the man with narrowed brows.
"Succubus?" He asked him. The older man chuckled lightly.
"That is what Hilda called her." The younger man chuckled at this.
-MN-
From the window of the VIP quarters Betty watched Newkirk walk into the building. She raised a brow and made her way to the door. She made her way to the Kommandant's private quarter's. As Betty moved across the grounds, she made sure not to let the men in the small building see her. She looked around when she got to the small house. Her eyes looked over to Barracks 2 and saw the younger American Colonel walking into the barracks. Betty smiled to herself as she walked up the steps to the house. As she walked in she could smell food cooking. 'She is in the kitchen.' She thought to herself. 'Let's have a look at this Mary.' She added in her mind. Betty peeked into the kitchen and her eyes went wide. There at the small table placing a tray of fresh bread down on the table, was this Mary that Newkirk had told her about.
The young woman was what she guessed to be only sixteen. She had long coal black hair that went past her hips. Her skin was fair. This girl's skin looked like white porcelain. Her body shape was that of a perfect woman. The green dress she had on looked amazing on her. When Mary turned to look to the side is when Betty saw the color of the young woman's eyes. They were white with just a hint of light blue in them. Betty pulled her head back into the other room. She turned around and thought to herself. 'Dear god she is gorgeous. No wonder he will not fall for my charm again. I have to drive them apart to get him to do the broadcast tonight.' Betty smoothed out her dress and straighten her shape. Placing a sweet smile on her face she turned around and walked into the kitchen.
"Well you must be Mary." Mary jumped when she heard an older woman's voice. Her eyes widen slightly. She looked the older woman up and down. 'Dear god. Why does Peter want me, when he can have her?' She asked herself.
"Yes I am, and you must be Betty." She stated. Betty walked toward her slowly. Mary watched the older woman walk closer to her. She saw the other woman look her up and down as well.
"Well, I don't know what Peter sees in you." Mary's heart raced as this Betty spoke. "I mean you are a plain and not that good looking. I have to say that when Peter told me about you, I didn't believe what he was telling me. I had to come over here and see if he was right about you." Betty's smile turned into a large grin. "He was right. You are plain and… well not the kind of woman that he needs. I can see why he told me that he is still in love with me." Mary's heart fell at this news.
Then in her mind, she heard her Huntsman's voice. 'Mary, I am not in love with her. I love you more than anything. I'm not leaving you. I will not leave you for a woman who shattered my heart. I saw you, and was told to protect the most gorgeous woman that I had and will ever see. I love you my diamond heart.' Then Mary heard a voice that she had thought had died a long time ago. 'She is playing you. Call her out on it, play her game back. Don't let this old hag rip us away from our Huntsman.' With this Mary straighten herself up. She then gave her own sweet smile back at the older woman.
"Really? Peter told you that?" She asked her. Betty nodded her head and placed a fake sadden look on her face. Then her eyes widen at what Mary said next. "I don't believe you. First of all, I am younger and you are not. Why would he want an old hag like you? I know my Lancelot better than you. Tell me when he was supposed to be telling you this, what nickname did he call me?" Mary asked her. Betty felt herself get a little nervous, but hid it well.
"He called you Guinevere. Plain Guinevere…" Betty was about to go on when both women heard a rough voice cut in.
"I don't call Mary Guinevere. I call her my diamond heart, and she calls me her gold heart." Betty narrowed her eyes at Newkirk who was making his way past her to this young brat. She tighten her jaw as she watched him wrap his arm around Mary. 'Guess I have to play this card instead.' Betty thought to herself. Newkirk's eyes widen when Betty spoke.
"If he loves you so much, than why has he not made love to you? He made love to me an half an hour of knowing me." Mary's eyes widen at this as she looked over at him. She watched him close his eyes and lower his head. Then Newkirk opened his eyes and looked over at Mary when she pulled away from him.
"Peter, did you?" She asked him.
"Not only did he say that it was the best he had ever had, but he told me that you two had not. That you were in control, yet he will not even touch you. I guess our dear Peter wants a woman to pleasure him and not some little sickly girl." Mary's eyes teared up as Betty spoke. Her eyes never looked away from the man that she thought loved her. Newkirk's eyes were widen at the pain and hurt within Mary's eyes.
"Mary…" Mary cut him off.
"Is that why you don't want to make love to me? Because I don't look like her?" She asked him. Betty smiled wide at this sight before her. Newkirk raised his hands up and waved them in front of himself when he spoke.
"No Mary that's not why. I told you it was because I didn't want you to have a flashback…" Betty cut in at this point.
"Don't believe him Mary. He told me that he was only using that as an excuse not to get intimate with you. He was playing with you until I came back to him. I do love him, and he loves me."
"NO I DIDN'T!" Mary jumped as Newkirk turned toward Betty and yelled at her. "I NEVER SAID ANY OF THAT! YOU ARE TRYING TO RIP US A PART FOR WHAT EVER REASON!" On Betty's face was a evilest happy grin. He narrowed his brows at her, then looked back over at Mary. Mary was shaking all over; her eyes were the widest that he had ever seen. Her breathing was short and sharp.
"Mary, I was not yelling at you." He said in a low voice. He reached out his hand to touch hers. Mary saw this and pulled her hands into herself. When he took one step near her is when Mary ran out of the kitchen and to their bedroom. Newkirk stood there with the widest eyes he had ever had. He didn't jump when he heard the door to their bedroom slam shut. He stood there in a shock. 'Oh my god! She is scared to death of me now. I must have reminded her of George.' He told himself. It was only when he heard Betty's voice again did he snap out of it. He looked over slowly toward her as she spoke.
"Well, I guess that she is terrified of you now. I guess we can do another radio broadcast." She told him walking over to him. He didn't move when her lips touched his. Once the one sided kiss broke she spoke again before walking out. "Come to the VIP quarters tonight, and don't be late my love." With that she walked out of the kitchen and out of the house. Newkirk dropped to his knees. He lowered his head and sat back onto his heels. 'What do I do?' He asked himself.
-MN-
Hogan was standing at the window in his loves office. His eyes widen as he saw Betty walk to the small building. He turned and told Klink that she was about to come in. The older man stood up as the door of his office opened. Betty walked in and looked at both men. She told them both that she was doing a broadcast tonight at the VIP quarters. She then informed them that Newkirk will be speaking.
"What makes you think that he will do that?" Hogan asked her. Betty looked over at him with a evil smirk.
"Because he just lost his love, and she is now terrified of him." She told him this then turned and left the office. Both Hogan and Klink looked at each other with wide eyes. They both took off running out of the small building to their house. They ran in and saw no one in the living room. Klink made his way to the kitchen while Hogan ran to his daughter's bedroom. When Klink got to the kitchen he saw Newkirk now sitting against the cabinets. He had his legs up with his arms on each one of them. Klink took large steps to the younger man. He knelt down in front of him. The young man who he saw as a son looked up at him with tears running down his shocked face.
"What happened?" He asked.
"She told Mary that she and I had made love. Then she twisted it around to where I didn't want to touch Mary. That I didn't want to because I was still in love with her, that Mary was just a toy to me basically." As he spoke the older man got worried at the heartbreaking tone. His heart was not only breaking for the younger man, but was full of worry that he would take his life now.
"Peter, son." Once Klink said the word son, Newkirk looked into his eyes. "You have to show or do something to show Mary that you love her. Beg her forgiveness if you have too, I don't want to bury none of you." Newkirk tilted his head slightly. Klink saw that the younger man didn't know what he was talking about. "Peter, if you take your life, then Mary will take hers, then Robert, then I will as well." The younger man now knew what was being said. He got up and slowly walked to what he hoped his and his loves bedroom. When he got into the living room; he saw Hogan sitting on the floor at the closed door. Hogan looked up with tear filled eyes. When his best friend got closer he spoke in a low voice.
"She won't opened the door." He told him. Newkirk saw the worry in his best friends eyes. Hogan stood up when Newkirk walked to the door. He knocked on the door softly.
"Mary, please open the door?" He asked her. He tried to open the door, but found that it was locked. When no one answered he reached into his pocket and got out his lock picking kit. Once the lock was picked, he opened the door. He stood up and walked into the room.
Hogan and Klink stood outside of the doorway. The two men were both very worried and nervous how this was going to play out. All three men saw Mary sitting on the bed with her knees up, and her arms folded on them. Her head was down; her long hair was cloaked around her shoulders. Some of her hair was laying on the bed. Two of the men's eyes went from their daughter to the young man standing before her.
"Mary." Newkirk said her name in a low whisper. Hogan and Klink saw Mary's head lift slightly. She saw the older man before her. She lifted her head all the way up as she saw what he did next. Hogan and Klink's eyes widen at what their best friend and son was doing.
Newkirk slowly got on his knees. He placed his hands in front of himself. As he placed almost all of his weight onto his hands, he then stretched out his legs. He laid himself down on the floor. He then stretched out his arms to the side of him. All three saw him now with his palms down; his forehead on the floor in a laying cross. Mary moved her legs out and placed them on the edge of the bed. Her eyes were widen with shock. She had never seen anyone do this before. So when Newkirk spoke it made her jump slightly.
"Mary… please forgive me. I was fooled into loving her. I don't love her, I love you. I want more than anything to show you how much I love you, but I don't want you to think I am like George in anyway. I'm sorry that I yelled, it was not at you. I'm sorry I frightened you, that was not what I was trying to do. I was only trying to set things straight. I never said any of that. I did have sex with her though, and I was on my way to tell you this. She told me that she loved me, and I had starved myself of love. I had a girl back home, but she wrote me and told me that she didn't want to wait for me. She married someone else, and no she and I were not going to get married. She found someone and I didn't know about it. She just wrote me and told me that she was a day away from getting married. She just thought that she should tell me. After that I was searching for someone to love me for me. I fell hard and quick for any woman that looked at me. Please Mary, I beg you to forgive me. Don't leave me, please forgive me. I know I messed up, and I regret ever kissing, holding, and what I thought was making love with everyone before you. I want more than anything to have you love me, to kiss me, to hold me when I need it, to be there with whatever crazy idea I have, and to make love to me." As he spoke Mary could hear him hold back the sobs that he wanted so badly to let out. Mary, herself now had tears falling from her eyes like heavy rain. Hogan and Klink were both in tears at the younger man pouring out his heart and soul to the woman that he did truly love. Mary went to move more off the bed but Newkirk's words stopped her.
"And I would do all of that for you. To hold you close, to kiss you, to support you with whatever you want to do. To wipe away your tears, to chase your fears away. I will be whatever you want me to be. I can't lose you. You are the most important one in my life. You told me about your dream, and I want all of it to come true. To give you the home you want, the family you want. I will go along with anything you want to do. You deserve so much, and I know you will not ask for it. But if you wanted the moon I would try to rest it from the heavens for you. You asked me awhile back that if you wanted to be The Queen of England. I meant it when I said that I would win you that crown and place it on your head myself. I love you Mary, I would gladly die the most painful death a million times over to let you have another second of life. Please forgive me, and love me again." With that he and the room went silent.
Mary could hear this man that just poured out his soul to her softly cry on the floor. She looked over at her father's still standing in the doorway. Both men made eye contact with her. She raised her hand, and motioned for them to leave the room. Hogan shook his head, but then he saw his daughter give him a look. He nodded his head, while turning he looked into a pear of baby blue eyes. Both men left the room, shutting the door behind them. Once the door was shut, Mary placed her boot covered feet on the floor. She stood up and walked over to the man still on the floor. When she said his name, she saw his shoulders shake some.
"Peter, please set up." She told him. Her eyes watched him set up onto his knees. His head was still down, he didn't want to look into her eyes. Mary sighed softly, and reached out her hand. She lifted his chin with her hand. His blue flamed eyes locked with her snowy blue ones. The pain within his eyes, made her heart hurt. 'I did this to him. I am no better then Betty. I hurt my gold heart. I have to make this right.' She told herself. With a small smile, she placed her hands beside his face. He reached up with one hand and placed it onto hers.
"Peter, I will not lie to you. You did scare me so badly when you yelled, but I didn't believe her when she told me that you said that you were using me, or playing with me. I know that you wouldn't do that to me. But when she said that you slept with her after just meeting her is what hurt me. I know that you told me that you don't want to hurt me, but Peter… I do want you in that way. We don't have to make love right at first. We can explore each other before that. I want you to run your hands over me, I want to do the same to you. Peter, my gold heart… I didn't stop loving you. I could never stop loving you, if your were to leave me in death." She paused. "I know that I would not make it through the night. I would not only die of a broken heart, but I would mourn myself to death. You would not be here with me, for me to look into your blue flamed eyes. I would put on your jacket and sleep in it. Smell your natural musky scent, that is intoxicating to me." She smiled wide at this. Newkirk couldn't help himself he smiled wide at this knowledge. "I love you my Huntsman. I was only afraid that you would leave me for her. She is beautiful and she was right." When Mary said this he narrowed his brows. "You need a woman, not a…" She trailed off for a second. "A sickly girl." She looked away from his eyes. It was only when she felt his arms wrap around her, and his head against her stomach is when she looked back at him.
"No Mary, you are beautiful. You are a angel from the heavens, she is the demon from hell. You saved my life, gave me a purpose to live. You are not sickly at all, I just want you to know that." He said while leaning back. He saw a small sadden smile come to her lips. Newkirk narrowed his brows in worry. "Mary?" He added. Mary lowered her head and spoke.
"George hurt me in so many ways. I went a long with it because that is what I was told to do. You had helped me in so many ways, push some of the things he had done to me away. Then when Betty spoke to me, apart of me thought she was right. Peter, I'm damaged, used goods. You deserve so much better than me." Newkirk raised his hands up, and took her hands into his. He looked into her snowy blue eyes and started to speak.
"Mary, you are not damaged nor used goods. You are strong in so many different ways. You being able to smile now, knowing what all you have been threw, and loving me knowing that I have made so many mistakes in life. That alone makes me love you even more. Don't ever think that you are damaged or used goods. You are my diamonded heart for a reason." Smiling at her Huntsman's words she took her hands out of his. She placed each one on the side of his face once more. Leaning down she kissed him lovingly. After the most loving kiss she or he had ever had, did she leaned back up again. Mary watched Newkirk place his head against her stomach once again. She smiled a loving smile as he whispered to her.
"I'm so sorry. I'm sorry that I caused you so much pain my diamonded heart." Her smile grew when he spoke again to her.
"I don't want to keep nothing from you anymore. Today I will tell you everything I have done, who I have dated, and I want to tell you everything. I want to hear anything and everything you tell me. Memories, dreams, things that you want to do, or places you would want to go. I don't want us to hide anything from each other no longer." As he spoke Mary's eyes shined with happiness. Her smile was the largest that she had ever had in her life. "So my Snow, may I tell you everything?" He asked her once again.
"Yes you may." She told him. A knock came from the door. Both looked over and saw a very worried Hogan opened the door.
"You two okay?" He asked them still seeing his best friend on his knees before his daughter. Mary smiled at him and told him happily.
"Yes Papa, Peter and I are alright." Newkirk watched his love smile at her father. Then he glanced over to his best friend who let out a breath, and smiled wide at them both.
"Thank god." He said, then walked into the room. "How do you want to do this?" He asked his best friend. Newkirk rose from off the floor, when he spoke the next words. The words he spoke shocked father and daughter.
"I will go later tonight and tell that Succubus the truth." He stopped when Mary spoke.
"The truth? About what?" She asked him. He smiled down at her then told her.
"I will tell her that I will not do the broadcast, and that I love you and will never love her… ever." Mary smiled at his words.

Hogan walked out of the small house, and toward the Kommandantur. He walked into his loves office, and closed the door. Klink looked up from his desk at his love. He saw that Hogan wanted to tell him something. He got up and walked over to the younger man. The older man leaned in close to his love when he spoke.
"Newkirk is going to go to the VIP quarters, and telling Betty off tonight. I think that we should be there just in case something happens." Klink nodded his head at his loves words.
"I think you are right." Just then the door to Klink's office opened. General Burkhalter walked into the office. He looked at the two men standing close to each other. He sighed and then spoke.
"I told you two to be careful and not to get caught." He spoke of his warning that he had given them. He glanced over at Klink when he spoke.
"I know that Herr General, but we were actually talking about Newkirk going to talk to Betty tonight, and that we might want to be there to make sure no one gets hurt." Hogan watched the fat General tilt his head slightly.
"You are right, but she is here for the Gestapo. She will still do the broadcast with him or without." He stated. Burkhalter looked over at Hogan when he spoke to Klink.
"Do you think that Mary should be there or not?" He asked him. Klink narrowed his brows in thought.
"Well, if she is there then maybe Betty will get the picture that Newkirk is not in love with her." He then paused for a short time, then spoke again. "But if Mary is there then, that Succubus will play with her mind again. I know no one here wants that to happen again." Hogan nodded his head. He knew that his love had a point. If Betty played with Mary's mind again and somehow turned Newkirk against her in her own mind then…
"Your right. If Mary does go then she could somehow make Mary think that Newkirk is going against her. Then I know that we would be burying two people tonight." When Hogan spoke about burying two, Burkhalter looked at him and asked.
"Who would you be burying?" He asked. He looked over at Klink when he spoke.
"Mary and Newkirk. If Mary thinks that Newkirk will leave her, then she will take her own life. Then if she does that, then Newkirk will take his, then…" His eyes looked over at Hogan who was looking down at the floor. Burkhalter looked over and knew what Klink was talking about. 'Everything in this camp would fall apart if that young lady takes her life.' He thought to himself.
"Well we will just have to make sure that doesn't happen." He told them. Both men nodded their heads at the General's words.

Mary and Newkirk were laying in bed. They had been laying there for hours talking about things that one should know about the other. Mary had her head against her Huntsman's chest. She smiled to herself as she listened to his heartbeat. Newkirk was playing with his Snow's hair. He watched her hair slip threw his fingers. He smiled to himself and noticed that her hair was soft as silk. Newkirk knew that Mary would ask him about his past relationships soon. The thought of telling her the truth made him somewhat nervous. True he had not been with many, but he didn't want her to feel like she was not special to him. It was when Mary spoke is when his thoughts ended.
"Peter, how many have you dated?" She asked him. He closed his eyes and told her the truth.
"I have dated five all together, and I have slept with nine." He told her. Mary sat up and looked at him with narrowed brows. He could see that she was confused about this. He chuckled and explained it to her. "I dated five women, and four of them I did have sex with. Then the other five was just one night stands." He told her the truth again.
"What is a one night stand?" She asked him, not knowing what the phrase meant. Newkirk smiled at her innocents.
"One night stand means, that I met them once and had sex with them once. I have not seen any of them again." He told her what the phrase meant. Mary nodded her head then asked him.
"So you have never seen them again? Does that mean that you used them?" She asked him innocently. He shook his head while he spoke.
"No, I have not seen them again, and I didn't use them. When I was with them for that one night, they knew and so did I that it was for meaningless sex and meaningless sex was all it was. They asked me if I wanted to, and it had been awhile for me, so I said yes. After we were done, I left or they left and we didn't see each other again. A lot of people have one night stands, but with… Betty I wished that it had never happened." She saw the regret on his face and within his eyes. Mary slid closer to him and asked him what she had wanted to know for awhile now.
"What did she do to you?" Newkirk looked over into her eyes with narrowed brows when she continued. "In that way?" She added. He sighed and told her.
"When she and I were alone, she told me to pull down the shade and I did. She told me that she would suck me off, that she only did that for a man that she loved. She did and it was okay. I personally don't like that. I would rather have the woman I love do that with her hand. Her face beside mine, that way I could kiss her and tell her how much I like it." He felt his face get red after he had said that. Mary saw his face get red and she giggled while telling him to go on. Newkirk smiled sheepishly and went on.
"After she did that, she got on top of me. She lifted her dress and she started to ride me. It was over within fifteen minutes. She told me after that she had never done that with a man that she had just met. She told me that she had fell in love with me at first sight." He lowered his head and looked away. "I fell for it, because I was at the point to where I didn't know if I was going to find someone to love or not. I fell for her hard and quick, in hope of a long lasting love, but it didn't work out that way. She said that she loved me, and called me her love… well until the end of the broadcast that is. Then she told me that her family was not being held by the Gestapo, and she didn't love me nor want me. That it was all an act that she was playing to get what she wanted." Mary could see the pain within her loves face. She raised her hand up and made him look over toward her. They made eye contact, and he saw a smile of love on her face.
"You don't have to worry about that no longer. I am here and will always love you, and I will fight for you if I have too." She told him the truth. This made him smile wide at her. He looked outside and notice that it was getting dark. He sighed to himself and moved to get out of bed. He looked over when he noticed that Mary was getting out of bed herself.
"Where are you going?" He asked her. Mary smiled as she walked in front of him.
"I am going with you." She told him. Newkirk stood up while taking Mary's hands into his once more.
"Mary, I don't think that is a good idea." He told her. Mary smiled at him with a smile that he had never seen before now.
"Peter, if that woman thinks that she will take you from me without a fight, then she is wrong." He smiled when he heard her words, but inside he felt his heart fall. 'This is a bad idea.' He thought to himself. Mary turned to go to the bathroom. Newkirk moved to put on his RAF jacket. He looked over when he heard the door to the bathroom open again. Mary was in her black dress that she had made. She smiled to him as she walked past him. She stopped at the doorway, and turned toward him.
"You coming?" She asked him. Newkirk sighed and followed his love out of the small house.
As they walked over to the VIP quarter's the two new POW's Taylor and Meyers watched Mary walk with her bodyguard. Both men looked at each other and spoke what all they were going to do to this young woman. Kingston sat there and listened to the two talk. As they talked he felt his stomach turn. Then he heard the two men say that they were going to break into the young ladies room tonight while she was gone. Then once she, and her bodyguard was back, they were going to kill him, both Colonels, then they would have their way with her. Kingston stood up and walked away from the two men. He knew that he had to do something to stop them. He pulled out a cigarette and walked over to the fat Sergeant known as Schultz. The two POW's watched their friend ask for a light, then went back to plotting. Kingston leaned in and told this Schultz what was about to happen.
"They are going to break into the young ladies room tonight and have their way with her, but that is after they kill her bodyguard, and the two Colonels inside. Don't react yet, they are watching us." As Kingston said thank you for the light, and then he walked back to the others. Schultz walked over to Barracks 2. He told Hogan's men about what was going to happen and that they needed to be at the VIP quarters tonight if something was to happen there. He told them at he and the other guards would be there at the house to stop the two new POW's. All three men nodded there heads and waited for Schultz to leave and make their move.
"Once we see Colonel's Hogan and Klink run out we go to the VIP quarter's." Carter and LeBeau nodded their heads at Kinch's words.
-MN-
All three men sat in the living room within the VIP quarter's. Betty was sitting there with a pleased smile on her face. Hogan felt his blood get hot with hatred for this woman. Klink looked over at his love and saw the hatred for this woman within his loves eyes. He looked back over to General Burkhalter as he was speaking to the woman that he also hated. They all looked over at the door when it opened. All three men's eyes widen as they saw Newkirk with Mary beside him. Betty saw the two together and tighten her jaw. She had thought that her plan had worked.
"I see that you two made up." She spoke in a hateful voice. Mary looked at the older woman, and spoke in a sweet voice.
"Yes we did, and I came here to thank you in person." Betty stood up quickly when she heard this. All three who were sitting down now stood up quickly as well and was now looking at Mary. Hogan saw the smile on Mary's face ,and knew that she was without a question that she was definitely his daughter. He looked over at Klink who was looking at him. He smiled a sheepish smile.
"Thank me for what?" She asked a little loudly.
"For bringing Peter and myself so much closer." Mary watched as Betty's jaw tighten even more. Just then Schultz came threw the door out of breath.
"WHAT IS IT SCHULTZ?" Klink yelled out.
"Herr Kommandant, there were two prisoners found trying to get into Mary's room." He breathed out. Hogan and Klink looked over at each other as the fat Sergeant said this.
"Who are they?" Hogan asked him. In-between breaths Schultz breathed out.
"Taylor and Meyers, their young friend Kingston came and told me that they were going to wait for Mary to get back and… well you know." He told them in a deep voice. Both Colonel's knew that they had to leave and see about this, but they didn't want to go and leave Mary and Newkirk here with this Succubus. It was when they heard Newkirk's voice is when they looked over at him.
"You three go, and see to this. Mary and I are fine here alone with this Succubus." He told them while making eye contact with Betty.
"Very well, this will not take long." Spoke the General. All three men left the small house, leaving the three alone. After the door shut is when Betty spoke up.
"Succubus?" She asked as she went to step closer toward the two in love.
"Yes, I think that name fits you." Newkirk told her. He looked over as he heard Mary agree with him. Betty looked at this young woman and knew that she had to do something to hurt her. Then she smiled and spoke again.
"Well I see that you forgave him for cheating on you. I wouldn't have. You know my dear that if he will cheat once then he will do it again and again. That is what a lot of men do. So even if our dear sweet Peter doesn't sleep with me, then wait until a young leggy woman comes his way. I bet that he told you that he has had one night stands." Newkirk was about to cut Betty off when he heard Mary speak.
"Yes he did, why?" She asked her. Newkirk saw the little light flash within Betty's eyes. 'What is she up to?' He asked himself.
"Well did he tell you that those one night stands happened when he was dating another woman." Mary's eyes widen and looked up at him. Newkirk looked at her with fear in his eyes.
"Mary that is not true." He started but Betty cut him off by saying.
"Oh really. Did you tell your love that you have a girl back home in England." With this Newkirk looked back over at Betty who was smiling wide at him, but her eyes were on Mary. He looked over at Mary when she asked him.
"Peter is that true?" Newkirk knew that he had to word the next words carefully.
"It was true, but I was faithful to her. She wrote me a long time ago telling me that she was getting married. She told me that she couldn't wait on me no longer. I told you this a few hours ago." He told her the truth. Mary looked from his blue flamed eyes to Betty's turquoise blue eyes.
"See, he is still lying to you. He still has a girl back home right now, and he will leave you the first chance he gets." She said with the most sweetest smile. Mary looked down at the floor and saw Newkirk reach out to touch her arm. Mary pulled away, then walked past Betty into the kitchen. Newkirk sighed and looked over at Betty who was laughing quietly. He narrowed his eyes at her.
"What is wrong with you?" He asked her. Betty stopped laughing and smiled at him.
"What do you mean?" She asked him in a nice voice.
"You don't want me at all, but yet you can't let me be happy with someone that I truly love." Newkirk shook his head at this. He looked at her as she spoke.
"No I don't want you to be happy with that ugly thing." He narrowed his eyes at the sound of Betty's voice. Her voice as she spoke was that of…
"Your jealous of Mary, aren't you." He watched as Betty's eyes got wide, and she pulled her lips up showing her teeth.
"Why would I be jealous of that demon looking creature! With her fair skin and long black hair, and those damn eyes!" Now Betty was screaming at the top of her lungs. Newkirk smirked at Betty's reaction.
"This was never about me, it may have in the beginning, but now it is about hurting Mary. You can't stand the fact that she is young and gorgeous. Like you said that her skin is fair and her hair is… oh my god now I know why Colonel Hogan calls her Snow." He said as he tilted his head and realized.
"What?" Betty asked him in a hateful and confused voice.
"Mary is a living embodiment of a real Snow White. Her skin is as white as snow, her lips are red as blood, and her hair is as black as a ravens wing. I'll be damn, now I know why." He looked away, and chuckled to himself. In return this made Betty even more angry.
"STOP TALKING ABOUT HER!" She yelled again. Newkirk looked back at the enraged woman with another smirk.
"What's wrong, don't like it when I talk about the woman that I truly love?" He asked her. Betty stepped closer to him as she yelled in his face.
"SHE IS NOT GORGEOUS! SHE IS AN UGLY LITTLE DEMON!" Newkirk's smirk grew as the woman before him showed her teeth like a rabid dog.
"No, Mary is gorgeous and not a demon. She is an angel from the heavens, and can make anyone smile with one of her own smiles. She is the most wonderful woman I have ever met and will ever meet. Mary is the woman I love and will always love until the day I die. Now you are the demon, the succubus that preys on a man that wants nothing more than to be loved and to have that love returned back to him. You… are… the… demon." Newkirk dragged out the last four words to make his point. He watched as Betty's eyes widen, and showed her teeth again.
What neither of them saw was Mary who was standing at the doorway, and had heard everything that was said. She had went to walk out of the house when she heard Newkirk say that Betty was jealous of her. Her eyes widen as she saw Betty's hand reach back and grab the wine bottle. Mary didn't have time to warn her love as Betty swung the bottle at Newkirk's head. The bottle broke once it hit him on the side of his upper and lower part of his head. Glass and wine went everywhere. Mary watched in horror as her Huntsman fell to the floor landing on his back. He raised his hand up to the side of his head. Newkirk's vision was blurry, then went back into focus. He was on the verge of unconsciousness. Mary watched as Betty quickly straddled her Huntsman. Her eyes landed on a knife that Betty had pulled out from under her dress but was strapped onto her hip. Mary acted quickly when she heard the older woman scream out.
"I AM NO DEMON, SHE IS! IF SHE LOVES YOU SO MUCH, I WILL HELP HER TO THE AFTERLIFE TO FIND YOU!" With that Betty was about to thrust the knife into Newkirk's chest. His eyes widen at what he saw happen next.
Mary had quickly ran up behind Betty. She quickly grabbed the older woman's hand and forced Betty's hand to stab herself in her own chest. Betty gasped from the pain that she was in now. She looked down in a jerking motion to see her own knife that was meant for the man under her within her own chest. She gasped again as the pain from the knife being pulled out of her chest. Mary quickly grabbed the older woman's hair and pulled her head back to make her look up at her. Newkirk watched in shock as he heard Mary spoke in a calm, but angry voice.
"You will not kill my Huntsman, nor will I let you get away with hurting him from the last time you saw him." With that said Mary moved the knife to the older woman's throat. With one swift motion she slit the woman's throat. Newkirk's vision went blurry again, but in the blur he saw the woman who had tried to kill him fall to the side. Mary stood there for only a second, then she ran to her loves side. At that time the door opened. She looked up to see her father's, and the General staring at her, then at the dead woman.
"What the hell happened? We were only gone for five minutes!" Her father loudly stated.
"She was about to kill him, and I had to stop her." Mary said in a panic. Hogan raced over to his daughter's side. He saw that his best friend was about to go unconscious. Newkirk manage to speak before the pressure of his head wound made him pass out.
"Mary saved me… from the demon." Mary's heart raced as she watched her love close his eyes.
"PETER!" She screamed out. Hogan moved over to his daughter and told her.
"He only passed out, Mary that's all, just passed out." He told her while rubbing her arm.
Klink knelt down and took the knife from Mary's hand, then handed it to Burkhalter. The oldest man took the knife with still an open mouth. He couldn't believe that the sweet girl that he had met not too long ago would have done this. He was brought out of his thought when he heard Klink yell to the guards for them to help carry the young unconscious man to the other house. To Burkhalter's surprise when three of Hogan's men came running in. Kinch saw the blood, and the dead woman on the floor. He turned toward LeBeau and told him to wait outside. The smallest man waited outside of the small house. Kinch and Carter helped Hogan carry Newkirk to the other small house. The fat General watched Klink talk to Mary in a low voice.
"Mary, Peter will be alright, but you have to tell me what happened." He spoke calmly to her. Mary started to tell her Vater what happened in a quick voice. Then once she got to the end, her eyes got wide and tears started to fall from her eyes. She looked over at Klink.
"I killed her. I… I didn't mean to. I was only protecting Peter. She was going to kill him, then me." She started to cry loudly as she realized what she had actually done. Klink moved, and took her into his arms slowly. He looked up at General Burkhalter when he spoke.
"Get the girl to the house and I will have some of my guards I trust to get rid of the body." He told him. Klink nodded his head and went to get Mary to stand, but found that she wouldn't move. He leaned down, and kissed the top of her head, then picked her up. LeBeau watched as the older man carried the young woman to the little family home.

An hour later, Mary was sitting on the sofa in her father's arms. The doctor was there looking over her love. She had wanted to go in, but the doctor had told her that she had to stay out of the room. Hogan was worried about his daughter, she had not spoken since the doctor had told her to stay out of the bedroom. He looked down, and saw that she was worried about her love. They both looked over as the door opened, and the doctor and Klink who had to be in the room came out. Mary jumped up quickly, and ran quickly up to the doctor.
"Is Peter alright?" She asked him. The doctor smiled down at her.
"Yes he will be fine. He will have one hell of a headache though." He spoke to her in a nice tone. Mary sighed and then asked him.
"Herr…" He cut her off by telling her.
"Please call me Laszlo." He told her. Mary smiled and nodded her head.
"Laszlo, can I see him now?" She asked him. He nodded his head then moved to let her pass by him. Mary ran into the room, and to her loves side. The doctor smiled then turned to look at Hogan.
"Thank you Dr. Kreizler for coming here." Kreizler nodded his head while he spoke.
"It is not a problem. I was happy to hear from Wilhelm. I just wish it was for a better reason." He told the younger officer.
"Yes, so do I. Thank you Laszlo, and you better tell me your favorite food too." With this the middle aged man raised a brow.
"I'm sorry. Are you asking me out on a date?" Klink chuckled then spoke again.
"Mary will want to thank you for helping the man that she loves. She will have me call you back here to fix you one hell of a dinner." He said with a smile. Dr. Kreizler smiled and nodded his head.
"Very well then. Tell her that I love beef wellington, if she knows how to make it." He looked over at Hogan as he spoke.
"Oh she does." He said with a smile. Hogan walked over to the doorway, and looked in. His heart fell at the sight he saw. Mary was laying beside her love, his best friend. She was crying softly and telling the sleeping man that she was sorry that she didn't stop that woman sooner. Hogan frowned then walked into the room. He sat down on the bedside near her. He reached out, and placed a hand on her lower leg. Mary looked over at her father with tear filled eyes.
"Mary, you stopped her from killing him. You did a good thing, you saved him." Mary smiled a weak smile then looked back at Newkirk as he made a noise. She sat up some to see if he was waking. Hogan looked over, and saw Klink standing beside him. His eyes looked over as his friend woke up.
"What happened?" The younger man asked. He glanced over, and saw his loves snowy blue eyes. Newkirk smiled as he saw his Snow's face. "Snow." He whispered. Mary smiled at him and nodded her head.
"Yes my Huntsman, it's me. She was going to kill you, and I stopped her." She told him. Then Newkirk narrowed his tired eyes, then they went soft again.
"Oh yeah, I remember. You saved me." He breathed out with a smile on his lips. This made Mary smile in return.
"Yes I did, and I'm sorry that I didn't stop her sooner. I didn't mean to kill her." He saw the tears come to her eyes as she spoke.
"You did what you had too, and if you didn't do it… then I would be dead. Thank you my diamond heart. I love you." He whispered the last part out. Mary whispered back as she saw his eyes start to close again.
"I love you too, my gold heart." She leaned over and kissed the man that she loved more than anything on the lips.

A few hours later, Mary woke up from another nightmare. She looked up, and saw her Huntsman's sleeping face. She smiled to herself, and kissed him on the cheek. As she moved to get out of bed, Mary saw that it was raining outside. She grabbed her coat that her love had made her, and put it on. Lowering her head, she made her way out of her and her loves bedroom. Mary quietly walked pass her father's who were asleep on the sofa. She smiled to herself, then walked out of the small house. Mary stood there on the small porch. Glancing over when she heard Sergeant Schultz say her name.
"Lady Mary, what are you doing out here?" He asked her. Mary smiled at him, then told him.
"Schultz would you be so kind to walk me to where General Burkhalter is staying please?" He narrowed his brows together, and was about to ask her why, when Mary told him.
"I have to talk to him about the sin I committed. I did a bad thing, and I hate to receive punishment for it, but I must." The older man sighed and nodded his head. Mary took his arm as he walked her to General Burkhalter's quarter's. Once there Schultz knocked on the door and went in. Mary's eyes widen and a smile came to her face.
"Schultz you dummkopf, what do you want." She tried not to laugh as the fat Sergeant tried to speak. Then Mary walked around the door. Burkhalter's eyes widen when he saw Mary standing there at the door.
"I need to speak to you Herr General. Please don't be mad at the sweet Sergeant. I had asked him to bring me here to receive punishment for the sin I have committed." As Mary spoke it took the older General aback. 'She speaks like a woman well past her age.' He thought to himself.
"And what kind of punishment do you think I should give you?" He asked her wondering what she would say. What Mary said next shocked both older men.
"You can either have me hanged, shot, or beaten to death. If so I only ask for three days to prepare my soul, and to spend one whole day and night with my gold heart." Both men's eyes widen at this.

Hogan opened his eyes, and glanced over. He saw his loves face above him. He smiled and sat up. His head had been in his loves lap. He looked around, and noticed that they had fell asleep on the sofa. The younger officer stood up, and made his way to his daughter's and best friend's bedroom. He looked in, and his eyes got wide. He looked around the room and saw that his daughter was not there. Klink woke up from hearing Hogan running into the kitchen then back out calling their daughter's name out.
"Robert, what is it?" He asked him.
"I can't find Mary." At this news the older man jumped up, and ran outside onto the small porch. He looked over and saw that Schultz was not there, then he saw the fat man walking back up the steps.
"Schultz where have you been? Mary is missing." He told him. Schultz raised his hands and spoke in a sadden voice as Hogan moved to hear what was being said.
"No Kommandant she is not missing. She came out, and asked me to take her to General Burkhalter." He saw Hogan's eyes widen at this news.
"What? Why?" He asked the man that he saw as an uncle.
"She told him that she had committed a sin, and had to be punished for it." He told both men. He moved to the side as both Officer's ran to where the General was staying.
Hogan was the first one to hit the door to where the General was staying at for the night. Both Mary and Burkhalter looked up at him, then at Klink a second later. Hogan saw that his daughter had been crying hard, by the tear tracks going down her face. He ran over to her, and knelt down in front of her. He wiped her tears away from her face then asked her.
"Mary what made you do this?" He asked her as his own tears fell onto his face. Mary lowered her head and spoke.
"Papa I did something wrong, and I have to pay for it." Hogan was about to go on, but was cut off by Burkhalter's voice.
"I was about to give your daughter her punishment Colonel Hogan." Hogan looked over as Klink moved behind Mary. "Are you ready my dear?" He asked her. Mary nodded her head, and stood up. Hogan was about to say something when Burkhalter added. "You two will help her with her punishment as well." All three narrowed their eyes at this. Then Mary spoke up as her father stood up.
"But I was the one who killed her." She stated.
"Yes that is true, but Colonel Klink here should have thrown that witch out of camp before any of this happened. As for you Colonel Hogan, you should have been a true man, and took your daughter from that hell whole a long time ago. When you found out that her mother was pregnant with her, you should have took her from her worthless mother and that bastard of a step father." As Burkhalter was speaking Hogan felt his heart drop. 'He is right I should have done that.' He thought to himself. It was Mary's voice that made all three men look at her.
"If Papa would have done that, than I wouldn't have met Peter, and had known what love really is. And I know that Papa was worried that he would turn into his father who was a lot like my step father. So please don't blame him, nor Vater. She was with the Gestapo, and I know that if you throw one rat out then it will come back with the other's." Both Hogan and Klink smiled at their daughter as she spoke about them. They looked at the General when he spoke.
"I guess your right my dear, but they will still help you though." Mary sighed, then straightened her frame. Three men looked at her and smiled. Mary was standing there looking like a real Queen. Hogan smiled, then it fell when Burkhalter spoke.
"Your punishment my dear is…." All three waited to hear the older man to say the word death, but what came out was far from that. "Is to cook me dinner tomorrow night, and I mean a big one with a cake for after." He said with a smile.
"What?" He laughed as all three said this at the same time. Then Mary spoke again.
"Wait you want me to cook you supper, and make a cake for killing a woman that I kinda didn't mean to kill, but kinda liked it." With this being said both of her father's looked at her with shock. Mary looked back at them.
"She hurt Peter so badly that he was going to take his own life, yes I wanted to make her pay for that." Her fathers went to speak, but the General beat them to it.
"Well, it doesn't matter. That woman is gone now, and now we don't have to worry about her no longer. I also found out that she had not told no one that she was coming here. So no one will be looking for her at all. Now Lady Mary." Mary smiled at the little nickname that the General and the Sergeant had given her.
"Yes Herr General?" She asked.
"I will be over at Klink's private quarters at seven tomorrow night." He said with a smile. Mary smiled and nodded her head. The General dismissed them, and they all left the General alone in his quarter's. On their way back to the small house, Mary looked over at her father. He was in shock as to what General Burkhalter's punishment was for his daughter. He looked over into her snowy blue eyes when she asked him.
"What happened with the two POW's that tried to break into my room?" She watched as her father smirked. She looked over to her Vater when he spoke to her.
"They were trying to get into your room to be able to have their way with you. Their youngest friend told Schultz quickly what they were planning to do. He told him that they were going to kill Peter, then us to be able to get to you." Mary's eyes widen at the thought of these two men hurting her love and her fathers. Her eyes widen more at the thought of these men trying to get to her again. It was then when her father spoke.
"You don't have to worry about them anymore my little Snow. They were both placed in the cooler, and will be killed in the morning in front of a firing squad." Mary was about to speak up when her father spoke again. "Mary they were going to rape you, after they had killed us. I didn't come up with the punishment, Burkhalter and Will did. I wanted to have them killed tonight, but…" Klink's words cut his love off by saying.
"But Albert and I told your father, that we thought it would be better for the rest of the POW's to see what will happen when they themselves act like lustful animals." Her Vater smiled wide at the thought of these two men being killed for trying to hurt his sweet daughter, his new son, and his love.
They walked into the small house together. Her father's went to their bedroom, and Mary made her way into her and her loves room. Mary shut the door behind her without looking. She smiled to herself as she saw her Huntsman laying on the bed asleep. Without thinking Mary started to take off her dress in front of her sleeping Huntsman. She grabbed the nightgown from the dresser, and went to put it on.
Newkirk had opened his eyes to see his love standing there in her white lace covering a white fabric undergarments. His eyes widen at the beautiful sight before him. He smiled to himself, and drank in her beauteous body. He smiled lovingly at the sight before him. He looked at her fair skin, and long coal black hair. Mary looked over to see her Huntsman's blue flamed eyes looking at her in the dim lit room. She quickly went to cover herself, but stopped at his words.
"Don't, you are so beautiful right now. Just please come to bed, and let me hold you the way you are now." Mary smiled wide at his words. She placed the nightgown back onto the dresser, and made her way to the bed. She went to get in, and saw him go to sit up to be able to remove his shirt, but fell back onto the bed. Mary quickly got into bed, and placed her hands on his chest.
"Peter you alright?" She asked him. In a weak voice he told her.
"Yeah, my head is hurting so bad that I don't think that I can sit up on my own." He told her the truth, but then smiled wide as Mary told him.
"Here I will help you."
Mary placed her left hand under his back, and slowly helped him sit up. Once he was sitting up on his own; with her other free hand she helped him take his shirt off. Newkirk smiled to himself as he felt his love help him to lay back down onto the bed. They both smiled wide as Mary laid herself against her loves bare upper body. When their skins touched each other, they felt the warmth coming off of each other's flesh. Mary moved closer to him making him hum while still smiling. He placed his arm around her still half clothed back and bare arm. Under his hand that was resting on her arm, he felt what seemed to be scars. 'I will ask her about it in the morning.' He told himself not wanting his love to move from his bare side.
"Goodnight my gold heart." She told him as she laid her head onto his bare chest. Newkirk smiled, and in a low half sleep voice he spoke.
"Goodnight my diamond heart." They both smiled wide, then both smiles fell slowly as they soon fell into a deep sleep.
