Some more sweetness for our favorite couple. I can't promise it will last ;) But as I always say, they will find their way back to each other. E/O is endgame! At least in my mind...I haven't watched last night's episodes. But I will soon!
Lying on a blanket in the warm sun, Olivia sighed and stretched out. Her feet touched the sand at the edge of the blanket. They had only been in Hawaii for two days but it felt like a lifetime ago that they were in the park getting married. Olivia had practically had to drag Elliot out of their cabana today. He had pouted the entire way to the beach but as he realized she had set him up for a surfing lesson, he was off. Not that she wanted to be away from him, but it felt good to lay back and relax. He had more than fulfilled his promise to make it hard for her to walk. They had been all over each other since the moment they stepped foot in their cabana. A hand slid over her belly and she sighed, a slow smile spreading on her lips.
She felt a drip of water fall to her ankle and she jumped, "Elliot!"
He smirked and reached over her to grab a towel, causing more water to fall down on her, "You looked hot. Just trying to cool you down."
She slapped his leg as he lay down beside her, "I looked hot?"
"You always look hot." He said moving towards her to kiss her lips.
Tasting the salt on his lips she smiled, "Did you have fun?"
"I did." He answered, resting his head on his hands behind him, "Thanks for setting it up. You should have come with me though."
She shook her head and turned to look at him, "I was good right here. Needed to rest. Someone's been keeping me up all night…"
Elliot chuckled and reached out to touch her arm, "I didn't hear you complaining...in fact you sounded like you were quite enjoying it."
She laughed again and rested her head on his shoulder, "Definitely enjoyed it. But...I did need a little break."
He was quiet for a moment then asked, "Did I hurt you?"
Her head snapped up and she looked at him quickly, "No! No. I didn't mean it like that. You didn't hurt me."
He frowned, "Are you sure? I know I've been a little...unhinged."
She shook her head and smiled, "El...I would let you know if it was too much."
"Okay." He whispered back to her, "I never want to-"
"I know." She rolled over and rested her head on his chest, "I know El. It's okay." Reaching up she traced his jaw with her finger, "Trust me...I'm having a great time. I just thought since we paid for the trip we should see a bit of the island."
"I could see the Island perfectly well from the window while I was on the bed." He heard her laughing, "And the couch...even the window from the shower and the kitchen counter."
"You are insufferable." She said rolling onto her back again with a huff, "At this rate Richie may just get his wish...although we can't guarantee it's a brother."
Elliot smiled and looked at her, remembering she had been caressing her belly when he walked up to her, "You think you're pregnant?"
Shielding her eyes from the sun she squinted over at him, "I don't know El. I was kidding...I mean there's no way to know for sure. I just stopped taking the pill so I would be shocked if it happened that fast."
His large hand spread over her exposed stomach, "Pregnant Olivia...I can't wait for that."
She smiled and shook her head, "Pregnant Olivia...I somehow can't imagine it. I won't be able to run after perps."
Elliot frowned, "Yeah no…" He saw her fidgeted nervously, "Liv, you know you're going to have to stop working or at least go on desk duty while you're pregnant, right?"
He saw her stiffen and for a moment he was worried but she sighed, "Yeah...I know."
"I know you love your work." He said softly, "And there is no one better at it than you. But it would be too dangerous for you and the baby. It's not a matter of not trusting you."
"I get it…" She said with a sigh as she looked up at the sky again, "Just feels...weird."
Elliot watched her for a moment, "Liv?"
She heard the hesitance in his voice, the confusion, "El...there is nothing I want more than to have a baby with you. For a woman it's just that age old story about people telling you that you can't have a career and a family. I've spent so many years building that career, making people see past the fact that I'm a woman in a career that is mostly inhabited by men. I would sacrifice everything for our kids...the four we have and the ones I want to have. But it does...bring all that up. I'm sorry."
He shook his head, "Liv you don't have to apologize. I get it. But I would never ask you to walk away forever. I know how much your career means to you. You can have it all...you can have whatever you want."
"I already do have it all." She said with a smile, "But a new baby...that would be pretty damn amazing too."
"Yeah. It would." He said holding his arm out, "Come here."
Moving towards him, she pressed a kiss to his chest and wrapped an arm around his midsection. His hand wrapped in her hair and he began to play with her hair. They lay quietly for a few minutes before she spoke again.
"Do you remember when I was dating that guy from Homicide?" She asked softly.
Elliot froze for a moment and then peeked down at her, "That jackass Scotty?" He huffed, "Why the hell are we talking about him?"
"Calm down." She said laughing at his jealousy, "I'm wearing your ring El."
He smirked and reached for her left hand, running his finger over the rings, "Damn right you are. You're mine. But I repeat, why the hell are we talking about him?"
She smiled and then traced patterns on his chest, "I was thinking about how...I was upset when we broke up. Not because I cared that much about him but because I didn't want to be alone. He treated me like shit. I knew that. But I let myself believe that was all I deserved."
Elliot held her close, even after all this time it broke his heart to know how little she thought of herself, "Liv…"
Ignoring him, she kept talking, "You dragged me out of the Precinct because I was in the worst mood. I was snapping at everyone. You made me walk with you and I wouldn't talk. But do you remember what you said to me?"
Elliot contemplated for a moment, "Not really…"
Tilting her head up she smiled, "I hadn't told you what he did. But somehow you knew. And you said...that I deserved so much better. That I shouldn't settle for someone who didn't realize what they had. That you would make sure I found the right person. That you would make sure I found love and happiness."
Elliot stared at her and then sighed, "You're right. I did." He paused then smiled, "That was right around the time I realized I cared about you more than just a friend. Deep down...I wanted to be the guy."
"You are that guy." She whispered to him, "I remember totally breaking down after you said that. I cried harder than I ever had in front of you and I was so embarrassed. But you just held me and told me it was going to be okay. And I wanted so desperately for you to be the guy...but I couldn't have you."
Sighing, he stroked her cheek, "You have me now. And truth be told...you had me then Liv. I told you, it's always been you."
Scooting herself up, she hovered over him and kissed him softly, "It's always been you too El. Always."
That night, Olivia was lying on her stomach on their King Size bed watching the waves crash on the shore. They had spent most of their evening wrapped up in each other after dinner. She was still completely naked, only the sheet rested low on her hips. The slow rhythm of the waves had lulled her to sleep for a short time, but she felt the bed dip again and smiled when his lips touched her spine.
"Hi." She whispered as his kisses trailed up her back, "Sorry I fell asleep."
Elliot smiled and sat up, stadking her hips he began to massage her back, "We're on our honeymoon Liv. There is no timeline here."
She took a deep breath and sighed when his hands dug into her aching muscles, "That feels so good."
Pressing his thumbs into the base of her spine he smiled, "Good."
She gripped the side of the mattress and gasped when he hit a particular sore spot, "Who knew Detective Stabler's hands were good for more than just punching out perps?"
He chuckled and ran his thumbs along her spine, "I can be gentle when I need to be." Leaning forward he pressed his lips to her back just above his hands, "Too hard?"
"No." She mumbled into the mattress, "Don't stop."
He smiled and kissed her neck again, his hands applying more pressure along the curve of her back. He continued this massage for a good ten minutes before he switched tactics. His fingers lightly caressed the side of her breast and he felt her tense but only for a second. His fingers and his lips continued on with their mission and she focussed on nothing but the feelings he was stirring up inside of her. As usual, one touch from him sent her into overdrive and she felt the ache between her legs. When she started squirming beneath him he smiled and tugged on the sheet, the only barrier between them. She gasped again when she felt him pressed against her and then she smiled, "How do I keep finding myself in this very position?"
"Because you are the sexiest fucking woman on the planet." He growled as he rubbed his length against her.
Laughing, she shifted and he fell to his side. She beamed up at him, "Oh really?"
Elliot reached for her again, "Really."
Pulling away from him, she stood up and backed away. Elliot watched her with curiosity, she just smiled and motioned for him to follow her. Elliot crawled towards her and hopped off the bed. They had a private cabana far away from any other members of the resort. When he saw her walking towards the beach, he smirked and quickly ran after her. She squealed when his strong arms encircled her waist, and carried her the rest of the way towards the ocean. They both took a deep breath before he plunged them under the water. When they broke through the surface again, instantly she reached for him and wrapped her arms around his neck.
Smiling, he kissed her and pulled her against his chest, "Skinny dipping, huh?"
She smiled and began to press kisses along his face and neck, "Not much chance for skinny dipping in the city. Figured we might as well take the opportunity."
He was standing on the sand below him and lifted her hips, making her wrap her legs around him. The waves moved around them and she was illuminated by the full moon. His heart clenched in his chest as he watched her. She tilted her head back, eyes closed, listening intently to the waves and the breeze.
Elliot kissed the hollow of her throat and sighed, "I've never seen you so relaxed."
"Hmmm…" He spun them slowly and she smiled, "How could I not be? I'm on an island alone with my very naked and sexy husband."
He chuckled and the vibrations coursed through her body making her shiver, "So now I'm the sexy one?"
"Mhm." She looked at him and traced her finger along his jaw.
"I can't give you the alone on an island everyday but I can give you me naked everyday if thats what you want." He said with a smirk.
"Let's just ship the kids out here and stay." She said with a breathy laugh, "They'd love it."
"They probably would." He agreed, then paused, "Is that what you want?"
She smiled and shook her head knowing that if it was, he'd move mountains to make it happen, "It's beautiful here. But New York is home."
He smiled and nodded in agreement, "It is." He paused again, "I have been thinking though…" He saw her watching him intently, waiting for him to continue, "If we are going to have these babies we've been practicing for…"
She smiled knowing what he was thinking, "We'll need more room."
He nodded in agreement, "Yes. The twins can't share a room forever...and we will need extra space for more kids. Maybe we should talk to a realtor when we get back."
"You sure?" She asked playing with his short stubly hair, "Your kids grew up there. I understand the attachment."
"They did. But...we also had some pretty rough times there too. I understand what you were feeling when we first got together. I bought that home with Kathy. And while it is ours now...it still holds that shadow of pain for them. I want a fresh start. For all of us. I love you for staying there...but it's time Liv."
She stared at him for a moment then smiled, "El...it did bother me. But now home to me is wherever you and the kids are."
"I know. And I love you for that." He kissed her again, "But we need more rooms to house these babies of ours."
She laughed when his hand tickled her stomach, "How many times do you plan on knocking me up Stabler?"
He laughed and nuzzled her close, "I'd settle for one or two. As long as I get to experience it with you."
"You want another son? Like Richie?" She asked curiously.
"I don't care either way. As long as it's happy and healthy." He replied honestly. "Although a mini Olivia might actually be the thing that kills me if we're being honest."
"Oh I know it will be." She said with a laugh, "But I don't care either." She kissed him softly, "You're totally sure though right?"
"About moving or having a baby with you?" He asked with a smile.
Shrugging, he saw the vulnerability in her eyes, "Both…"
Elliot paused for a moment, he had been joking about the baby part but saw something behind her eyes, "Yes I'm serious about both." He frowned and then asked, "Why? You aren't?"
"No! No...I want that. I want to." She bit her lip, "I just...I wasn't sure if…"
When she stopped talking he got more confused, "Liv…"
Pulling back, she ducked under the water and he saw her swimming towards the shore again. Elliot quickly swam after her and grasped her hips, "El don't-"
He turned her and saw tears in her eyes, the ocean couldn't hide them, "Talk to me. What just happened? I mean we've talked about kids before. More kids. I thought we were on the same page about this."
Gnawing on her lower lip she sighed and looked past him, "I want that…"
He could barely hear her but he pushed her, desperate to understand, "Then what's the problem?"
Dipping herself under the water again, she came up and pushed the wet hair from her face, "I just...worry." He still looked confused and she groaned, "El my Mother was a raging alcoholic and my Father was a rapist. Who the hell knows what I'd be passing on to our child. Maybe we're better off sticking with the four we got. They are so wonderful and I love them as if I did have them. Maybe it's smarter that way...safer."
He felt his heart crack and he reached for her again, finally understanding, "Come 'ere." She was hesitant for a moment but finally gave in and let him hold her close, "My father was emotionally unavailable and abusive at times. My Mother has bipolar disorder." She was staring at him with wide worried eyes, "It's not all about DNA Olivia. If it was...you wouldn't be the amazing woman you are today. The woman who amazes me with her kindness and compassion. The woman that despite all she has been through still loves so fiercely and completely that I feel beyond blessed just to be in her presence let alone married to her. You are not your parents. And I am not mine. We may carry trauma and pain...but our life doesn't have to be dictated by their failures. I know you will be the most amazing Mother. You already are to four kids who adore you more than you possibly could ever comprehend. I have never and will never have doubts about having our own children. This is what I want. This life with you. It's everything and more."
Her tears fell freely now and she buried her face in his neck, her body shook and he held her tight. "Elliot."
Pressing a kiss to the crown of her head he rubbed her wet back, "You are so much more than where you came from. You turned out incredible despite what you came from. Our children are so lucky to call you Mom."
"I'm sorry." She sniffled, "We're on our honeymoon and I'm losing it."
Pushing her back slightly, he tilted her chin up and shook his head, "You have nothing to apologize for. You're my wife and if you can't be vulnerable in front of me...then I'm not doing my job right. I understand what you're saying but you're wrong."
Wrapping her arms and legs around him she whispered, "Okay." He studied her face carefully, looking for signs of distress, "Besides...you're right. Despite your own childhood you turned into the most amazing man and father."
A slight blush formed in his cheeks and he shrugged, "I've made my fair share of mistakes. As much as what Kathy did was wrong...I'm sure I didn't make her life easy. I'll do better for you."
"I know you will." She replied, "You already do. Everyday. You're a better man than you give yourself credit for. Yeah...your Mom and I helped with the kids when Kathy left, but El you stepped up. You put them first. You did it all for them. They love you so much and I am so proud of the man that you are."
Clearing his throat, "Did you know that before you started at SVU I almost got fired?" He saw a frown form on her face, "The day before you came...Cragen told me it was my last chance to get my shit together. I'd blown through partners like no one else. He said if I had an issue with you I should keep my mouth shut or start packing. That came directly from the Chief."
She stroked his face lovingly, "Elliot…"
"I was arrogant and angry. A real son of a bitch. And I'll be totally honest when you walked in I thought…" he chuckled, "I thought well I better start packing because this isn't going to work."
She shoved his chest back, "Why because I was a girl?"
He laughed again, "No because I was instantly attracted to you. But I was pretty sure you were going to think I was an ass. But it turned out you were exactly what I needed. You pushed me Liv. Didn't let me get away with any bullshit."
"Yeah well…" She said with a shrug, "That's because I was trying to prove myself."
"You more than proved yourself. And you made me a better man Liv." He whispered.
"You made me a better woman." She said with a smile, "You made me stop running."
"Well we make quite a pair don't we?" He said adjusting her long, wet locks along her neck, "Thank God I scared off all my other partners."
"Yeah. Thank God." She said with a chuckle, before he had time to register what was happening she was pushing him under the water.
Happy with the sudden shift in her mood, and confident she had heard him he decided to play along. Under the water, he grabbed her by the hips and tossed her over his shoulder making her dive into the water with a laugh. When they both broke the surface again, she launched herself onto his back and held on tight. He laughed and swam them out a little farther. Then he flipped them both again so she was facing him.
They both laughed softly gazing at one another and he smiled, "We'll be happy Liv. I'll make sure of it."
Leaning in, she pressed her lips to his, "We already are El. I love you."
Tilting her back slightly so the moon shone bright on her bronze skin he sighed happily, "I love you too."
The following morning, they woke up and had breakfast on their balcony. After a quick call to the kids to check in, they decided to go for a hike up one of the cliffs. Slipping into comfortable clothes and packing some snacks and water they headed out. It was still early enough that the sun wasn't too hot. They walked comfortably beside each other for a few minutes. But soon a group of people passed them on a run.
Olivia smiled. She loved to run. And she knew she could beat Elliot. She often did in their partnership when they had to run. He could go fast in a sprint but she beat him every time for a long distance. She had always liked to run as exercise. Something he argued against not wanting her running alone in the city. Even before they became a couple he pushed the subject she never let him win. Running had been her stress reliever while his was hitting a punching bag.
As usual he read her mind and he groaned, "Liv we're on vacation."
Turning to face him she smirked, "Afraid to lose to your wife Stabler?"
Elliot stopped and watched her, how she infuriated him sometimes. And yet, she always made life interesting. Crouching forward slightly, "First one to the top?"
"Wins…?" She asked with a curious grin as she bounced on her toes.
"Bragging rights AND will be the one getting the brand new car we talked about. Loser has to drive my old van into the ground." He said with a smirk, thinking he may have a shot on the rugged terrain.
She was normally a flat top runner, but in his days in the Marines he had had to run all sorts of different terrains. He saw the sparkle in her eye and then again thought, maybe he was just kidding himself.
"You're on." She said turning around, "I want a black SUV with heated seats by the way. One. Two. Three."
They both took off in a flash and Elliot had a head start. The dirt crunched under their feet as they weaved through the path and trees ahead. He felt pretty good at first until he saw how far they actually had to go and knew he had gone too fast to start. Within moments, his legs were aching and he heard her hot on his heels. He cursed when she sprinted past him for the final ⅓ of the way. He heard her laughing as she gained more and more headway. And by the time she reached the top he was lagging behind with a stitch in his side. When he finally made it to her side she was laughing, hands on hips as she triumphantly said, "Black with-"
"Heated seats. Yeah, yeah." He held the stitch in his side and said, "Someday I'll learn…"
She giggled and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, "Probably not."
He snorted and smacked her ass, "Maybe I just like watching you run in shorts…"
Tossing her head back she laughed loudly, "Oh that's why I won?"
"You distract me." He growled against her neck, "It's not fair actually."
"Life's not fair. Get over it." She teased before hearing a splash behind them. She pulled back and frowned, "What was that?"
He took her hand and they walked to the edge and looked down. On a plateau below them there was a group of people jumping the cliff into the water below. "They're jumping."
Olivia stumbled back slightly, "Are they insane?"
He smiled and looked down again, "I'm sure people do it all the time."
"Yeah. Insane people." She said with wide eyes.
He tugged her hand towards the path leading to the lower level, "Come on."
She tugged back quickly, "You can't be serious."
"It looks like fun!" He said watching a few more people jump off, "Let's do it."
"Elliot no." She tugged him back away from the edge, "No."
Turning to look at her he saw genuine fear on her face, something he never often saw on the fearless woman in front of him, "Liv?"
She shook her head again, "I really don't want to do that."
Stepping up to her, he put a hand on her cheek, "Hey...it's okay." He saw her eyes dart towards the edge, "Of course we don't have to do it. I would never make you do something you don't want to do."
She bit her lip and glanced out over the water, "I just...would rather not die on our honeymoon."
He smiled and shrugged, "I think we would be just fine. But I get it. Let's just explore up here a bit more. Then we can head back."
"If you want to do it...I can meet you-" He saw the hesitation in her eyes but also knew she hated backing down from a challenge.
"Olivia." She looked at him quickly and he smiled, "Not without you." Leaning forward he kissed her forehead, "Come on."
With a little sigh, she took his hand and walked with him towards the path and away from the cliff edge. She could hear the laughter and the sounds of the splashes below her but the pit in her stomach told her today she would not be throwing herself over any edge…
That afternoon, Olivia was standing in the bedroom of their cabana while Elliot was finishing up his shower. After their hike, they had explored the Island some more and then gone swimming to cool down. She was standing by the mirror in their bedroom and was looking at herself. She still had on her bikini and smoothed her hands over the newly tanned skin on her body. She pressed her hands into her flat stomach and wondered...could she be pregnant? She knew it was impossible to know so soon but the thought was still there.
Curiously, she tugged on her beach cover up and moved her body around. Looking at the bathroom door, she heard the shower still running. Smiling, she grabbed a throw pillow from the bed and shoved it up under the black cover up. She laughed to herself as she looked at what she could look like pregnant. Her hands smoothed over the "bump" and couldn't help but wonder what a real baby would feel like. She was so focussed and wrapped up in her own little world she hadn't heard the shower stop running or him coming up behind her.
His hands rested on her hips and she jumped. "Well damn...I work fast."
She laughed and elbowed him, "Shut up."
Elliot smirked and kissed the side of her face, "What are you doing?"
"I was just...curious." She said with a shrug, "I never really pictured myself pregnant."
Elliot poked at the pillow and smirked, "Our baby is a little lumpy. Should I be concerned?"
She rolled her eyes and pulled the pillow out and smacked him with it, "Elliot! Don't make fun of me."
He caught the pillow and laughed, "I'm not making fun of you. You're adorable."
She groaned and looked down at her flat stomach, "You know as much as I want a baby...I think it's crap that just because Eve ate a damn apple women get stuck with the hard part."
"That's something you'll have to bring up to her next time you see her." He said plopping down on the bed in nothing but his towel.
Olivia tugged off her cover up and stood in front of him in her bikini, "Will you still love me when I'm fat?"
Knowing that he had to tread carefully here, he leaned up on his elbows and smiled, "Liv…"
Her cheeks blushed and she motioned towards her toned body, "Get a good look at this El...because it's all downhill from here. Keep this image in your head."
Elliot tugged her closer and nuzzled her belly, "Liv, baby. You're gorgeous."
She huffed and rested her hands on his head, "Yeah...now you think that. But what about when I have stretch marks and gain 20 pounds?"
"Olivia." Looking straight up at her he smiled, "I told you I can't wait to see you pregnant and I meant that. You're going to be stunning. Before and after. Nothing is ever going to change the way that I see you. I've always thought you were the most beautiful woman in the world and I always will."
When his lips touched her belly and then his tongue followed she leaned into him, "I'm going to hold you to that mister."
He nipped at the tender flesh of her hip and he smiled, "You taste salty."
"Because I haven't showered yet." She said with a laugh, running her hands through his short hair.
"I told you to join me." He said nuzzling her close again.
"I was on the phone with our kids. You were impatient." She said, nudging him back with her knee, "You should have waited."
Elliot watched her walking away, "I could shower again."
"We need to preserve water El…" She said with a playful pout, "Think about the fish. So sorry."
Elliot growled and ran after her, "You and the damn fish."
She squealed and ran towards the bathroom, "Just trying to make the world a better place for our kids El!"
He laughed and lifted her up and placed her down on the sink, "You do that everyday by kicking ass at work."
She felt his hands start to wander again and she arched up into him, "Elliot...what are you doing?"
"If I can't shower with you...I'll have a little fun before you jump in there." She moaned softly as he bit down on her collarbone, "Relax."
"Easy for you to say." She mumbled, squeezing her knees tight around his hips, he sunk his teeth into her neck and she shivered, "Damn El…don't leave a mark."
He chuckled and soothed the flesh with his tongue, "Liv I hate to break it to you...but we have both marked each other quite a bit these last few days."
She smirked and arched into him, "I had to make sure that girl who was eying you on the beach knew who you belonged to."
His hands slid to the waistband of her bikini bottoms and tugged them, he smiled when she lifted her hips up to help him, "Liv? She was looking at you. Not me."
She gasped when he bit her hip bone, "What?"
"When you got up to get a drink...she asked me if we were there together." She narrowed her eyes on him and frowned, "When I said yes...she asked if I was willing to share you."
She laughed and watched as he flung her bathing suit bottoms across the bathroom, "Are you kidding me?"
"Nope." He moved his lips to the apex of her thighs, "And while most guys are intrigued by that...I will never share you. With any man or a woman. You are mine and mine alone."
Gripping the sinks edge she pushed up into him, "Hm...you know I never liked it when men tried to get possessive with me." He looked up at her, his tongue just inches from where she wanted him most, "And yet...when I hear it from you it's such a fucking turn on." He gave her that infamous Stabler grin and he moved his tongue forward, "I like that you want me."
Elliot groaned and tentatively pressed his tongue to her core causing her to shudder, "I don't just want you Liv. I crave you. Every second of everyday. I spent so much time fantasizing about you. What you would look like. Smell like. Taste like."
His tongue worked against her again and she was slowly losing sense of reality, "And what's the consensus?"
He moaned against her flesh and the vibrations sent her into overdrive, "So much better than I ever could have imagined. I will not share you. I'm a greedy son of a bitch and no one will touch you like this. Only me."
When he moved one hand up and started to tease her folds, her toes curled and she had to brace herself against the sink, "Oh God...Elliot. Only you."
Slowly, he inched one finger inside of her, and then a second and looked up at her, "Look at me."
Her eyes were shut tight and she tried to compose herself, "El…"
"Look at me." He said more possessively as he continued loving her with his mouth and fingers, "Come on baby."
She arched into him and her eyes fluttered open as she stared down at her. She felt the tightening in her belly and she smirked, "Can't even get mad at the pet name when you're doing that. Damn you."
He chuckled and pushed a third finger in causing her to scream out his name, "I'll have to remember that honey."
"Fuck." She grabbed the back of the sink and pushed her head into the mirror behind, "Don't stop. Oh god don't stop."
Going back to work with his mouth and his fingers he felt her legs trembling. Determined to bring her over the edge he focussed all his attention on her. Listening to the sounds she was making to guide his movements he knew she was close. When she cried out again and her legs tensed, he felt her walls close around his fingers. He continued to press kisses against her sensitive skin making her shake harder and whimper. "El…"
He kissed his way up her inner thighs, her abdomen, chest and finally to her face, "Yes?"
The cocky grin on her face made her laugh, "Oh screw the fish. Get in the shower Stabler."
Dropping the towel from his waist he smiled widely, "I knew I'd win."
Reaching behind her, she turned the shower faucet on, "Not going to win every argument."
"I will if I just use my-" his words were caught in his throat when her hand wrapped around the base of him, "Ah shit."
She chuckled and nipped at his neck, "You were saying?"
"Get in the shower. Now." He growled.
Stepping into the shower she reached behind her and unclasped her bikini top, "You joining me...or?"
Stepping in with her, he instantly grabbed her and pulled her against his chest. The water was cascading around them and she groaned. She smiled and then pulled away, turning her back to him. He grasped her hips and pushed himself against her knowing she was ready for him.
When she leaned forward and braced her arms against the wall he surged forward. His forearms covered hers against the tile and he moved hard and fast. In the last few days they had come together hard and fast and slow and sensually. But right now he needed her fast and she seemed to agree. Covering her hands with his he spoke to her in that possesive way she had said she loved. She groaned and pushed back against him.
"Everyone wants you Liv." He whispered into her ear, "But who's the only one that gets you?"
"You." She squeezed his hands tight, "You Elliot. Only you."
Pulling out of her, she turned slowly and reached for him. Lifting one leg up, he wrapped it around his waist and crashed into her again. "That's right. You're mine."
She smirked at him and held his face firm in her hands, "Just for the record, if any woman tries to touch you like this I'll kill her."
He smiled as they moved together, "Noted. But I'm yours Olivia. You're the only one that gets me this way. Ever."
"Because you're mine." She said tugging on his lip. "Tell me."
"I'm yours baby. Only yours." He cried out as he felt her walls squeezing around him, "Fuck Liv."
His forehead rested against hers and she clung to him, needing him to keep her steady, "Elliot."
Feeling him inside her as he unraveled, another ripple of pleasure ran through her. Her leg slipped from his waist and she fell back against the wall. He gently kissed her cheeks and nose, "I changed my mind. Let's stay here."
She laughed and wrapped her arms around his waist, "You're just saying that because you're getting some every hour."
He laughed but nodded, "Exactly my point."
Breathing him in she kissed his neck, "So we just need to make time for us. Just like we always do."
He kissed her slolwy and sighed, "I don't think I've ever had this much sex."
"You complaining?" She asked with a smirk, "You're the one that keeps starting it."
"Not complaining at all." He laughed, "Just making an observation. I would always have this much sex with you if I had the time."
"We'd scar the kids for life." She said pushing him back, "Now get out."
"What?" He asked with a laugh, "You're kicking me out?"
"Yep. I got off and now I need to get clean. So...move it." She said, pinching his butt, "The water is getting cold. Plus the more water we use the poor fis-"
"The damn fish." He said with a chuckle as he stepped out, "At least I know what I'm good for."
"I love you!" She called after him with a laugh, she heard him bark a response back and she smiled to herself and turned towards the water streaming down on her.
The following morning, Olivia woke up first. They had slept in till almost 10 and she smiled knowing they both needed it. Not only had they been up late talking and once again making love, they had also spent the better part of the last decade working crazy hours and putting sleep last. Stretching, she saw that it was another sunny day with blue skies. Pressing a kiss to his shoulder, she heard him mumble something under his breath and then roll over.
Deciding to let him sleep in some more, she wanted to have a run. Scribbling a quick note, she changed into her workout clothes and slipped her phone into the little pocket of her leggings. Stepping out into the warm air, she took a deep breath and smiled. She loved going for a run and she loved New York City. But...there was something about this fresh, sea salt air. Moving towards the cliff path from yesterday, she walked to the base of the summit. Then when she got on the path, she stretched her legs out, took a deep breath and started to run.
Feeling the ground pounding beneath her feet, she hit her stride. She felt in her element despite being in a completely different place. The movement made her feel the ache in her body both from the lack of exercise and Elliot's insatiable appetite this week. The ache didn't hurt though it felt good. She ran harder and pivoted through the paths, dodging the trees and underbrush. By the time she reached the top of the cliff, her heart was pounding. Leaning forward, she rested her hands on her knees and took a few deep breaths. Her eyes scanned the horizon and she felt so small in this vast space.
New York was so busy, full of life and people. She always felt inconspicuous there. But it was different than here. As far as she could see there was only ocean and green land. She was used to skyscrapers, pavement and the hustle and bustle of people and cars. But there was something soothing about being here and yet all at the same time it was frightening. As her heart rate slowed down, she looked down below her and saw the cliff jump. There were a few people starting to gather there to take their own plunge. Her heart dropped to her stomach when she watched them throwing themselves off the edge.
For so long she had focussed on control. So much of her life had been out of her control. Growing up her life was a constant loop of chaos. Waking up each morning she never knew what to expect. She had become regimented in her life to ensure that she was in charge. Even at SVU where the cases were always changing, she felt like she knew who she was, knew how to take care of herself. And when she couldn't...there was always her partner to fall back on. Smiling, she looked down again and saw a couple taking hands and jumping off the edge. They had so much trust in each other and were taking the chance together.
Trust.
Trust had always been something that was hard for her. She trusted no one before Elliot. Sometimes, not even herself. But with Elliot, her husband, she knew he would never put her in danger. She knew that he would have her back, that he would support her through everything and anything that life threw at them. She had chosen to take the jump that night in the parking lot when he asked her what she wanted. She had chosen to take the jump when he kissed her in his kitchen. She had chosen to take the jump that first night he made love to her, when he had told her he had loved her, when she told him back. They had jumped together through so many hurdles, Kathy, the adoption, the wedding and now...she wanted to jump again.
Reaching in her pocket, she pulled the phone from her pocket and pressed it to her ear after dialing his number.
Elliot had woken up a few moments before and was disoriented when he didn't find her. When he found her note, part of him was frustrated that she had gone alone. But the other part of him knew it was just her way. She was fiercely independent. Since they got together, she had come a long way, but there were some things she still needed to do for herself.
He was sitting in the kitchen of their cabana when his phone rang. Standing up, he walked over to the bedside table and flipped the phone open, smiling when he saw her name, "Hey. Where are you?"
"Did I wake you?" She asked softly on the other end of the phone.
"No. I was awake. I saw your note. You okay?" He asked, suddenly he was nervous that something had happened.
"Can you meet me up at the top of the cliff? Where we were yesterday?" She asked.
Elliot was quiet for a moment, contemplating her question, "Sure." He paused again, "Liv? You're okay, right?"
"Yeah. I'm okay. Just...meet me up here." She replied, "Take your time."
When he hung up, he glanced around the space and wondered what she was up to. One thing for sure, he always knew his wife was full of surprises. Slipping into a pair of comfortable cargo shorts, a shirt and a pair of running shoes he left the cabana and went on his way. He didn't run, but he was moving fast. She said she was okay, and yet part of him would always worry about her when they were apart. He assumed that's what it meant to be truly in love. As he climbed higher, he felt the tension leave his body the closer he got to her.
When he found her at the very top, she was sitting close to the edge, knees pulled up to her chest, looking out at the ocean below her. Her head turned towards him when she heard the crunch of the dirt below his feet. Her head turned towards him and she smiled, "Hey."
Sitting down beside her, he nudged her with his knee, "Hey." She was quiet and he leaned back on his hands, "It really is beautiful up here."
"Yeah…" She whispered looking down again, she saw more people gathering to jump.
Elliot followed her gaze and frowned, "Liv?"
"Do you remember when we first started working together...I think it was maybe our fourth or fifth case? We got into an argument. You told me that in order for us to work together, I needed to trust you. And up until that point I didn't...not really." She whispered.
Elliot nodded, "I remember. We were both holding each other at arms length, trying to size the other up. We hadn't hit our stride just yet. But I could tell that there was something there between us. We just had to find it." He said with a shrug, "I trusted your ability as a cop. But I needed you to trust me."
Swallowing hard, she looked at him and said honestly, "El...before you, I never trusted anyone. Ever. I kept that wall up and it was sturdy as all hell."
Elliot laughed and kicked the ground below him, "Oh...I know it. Each time I thought I kicked part of it down, you built it back up before I could get in."
She smiled and rested her chin on her knees, "Because I was afraid of…" He glanced over at her and she whispered the rest of her response, "You."
Elliot sat up a little straighter and turned his body towards her, "Afraid of me?" He saw her nod once and he sighed, "Liv I would never-"
"Up until you...I knew who I was. Or at least I thought I did. I had this vision of my life. And meeting you shattered all of it. I wanted more. But I felt like if I let you in...you'd see how screwed up I was and you'd leave. Just like everyone else." Her voice cracked and she sighed, "So I pushed you away even when I wanted to hold on for dear life."
Elliot reached for her hand, "Olivia…"
"But piece by piece you pulled down that wall no matter how hard I tried to keep you away." She paused and she smiled, "I trust you. More than anyone in this world."
Elliot smiled at her and touched her back, "Do you know how much that actually means to me to hear you say that?"
She smiled and nudged him with her shoulder, "I took a jump...a leap of faith and so far you haven't let me down."
Leaning forward he kissed her softly, "I'll do my damndest to make sure I never do."
"I know you will. Which is why I asked you to meet me up here." She whispered before standing up.
Elliot stared up at her and frowned, "I don't understand…"
Brushing a strand of hair out of her face, she pointed below them, "I want to jump."
Elliot watched her carefully and smiled, "Liv, you don't have to prove anything to me."
"I know I don't." She said with a shrug, "But I want to do it. For me."
Elliot contemplated what she was saying. He recognized that look on her face. It was the look that told him there was no changing her mind about something. She was determined and she was stubborn but more than that she was fierce in her determination. Yesterday she had looked panicked at the thought of jumping off the cliff. Today she looked confident and bold. Pushing himself off the ground, he walked up to her and she smiled, "You're serious?"
"Yes." She said with a nod of her head, "I'm serious."
"Why?" He asked softly, "What changed from yesterday?"
"Nothing really. I just...was caught off guard yesterday." She looked down below them again, "I thought about it and I realized everything between us has been me taking a really big jump. Even up on the roof that night before the wedding...you told me if you jump, I jump. And I want to do this. Together."
Elliot stood in front of her, staring deep into her eyes and he shook his head, "You're incredible. You know that?"
"There are going to be a million times in this marriage where we have to just take a leap of faith. Might as well start now." She said, wrapping her arms around his waist, "So...will you do it with me?"
"Liv...I'd go anywhere with you." He said softly, "Anywhere."
"Good answer." Slipping her hand into his she tugged him towards the path again, feeling more sure by the second.
But when they got to the edge, she peered down and saw just how steep the jump was. People were jumping around them and she saw them pop up in the water, she knew it was okay. Elliot squeezed her hand, and she looked over at him. He was giving her a look that told her that if she wanted to back out, he would never judge her for it. "You jump, I jump?" She asked softly.
"You jump, I jump." He said squeezing her hand again.
Taking a deep breath, she looked down at the water below her and whispered, "One."
"Two." He replied back to her as they got even closer to the edge.
"Three." They said together and immediately launched themselves off the edge of the cliff and were free falling.
The minute they broke the surface, Olivia felt a rush of emotions wash over her. When she popped back up, she was laughing because she couldn't believe she had actually done it. She felt Elliot's arms wrap around her and she turned in his embrace. He was smiling proudly at her and she felt her heart jump in her chest. She knew that there was no one in this world she would have trusted to do that with more than him. Wrapping her arms around his shoulders, he pulled her close.
Their relationship had been one long jump for her and now...she felt settled. Ready to face whatever life had in store for them. Because he was beside her. They would jump together. Always.
