Last Time

Mei smiled as she could see Naruto calming down a bit. She had to remember that while he was someone that she'd never want to face as an enemy he is still a child who was forced to kill at a young age and didn't have anyone who he could share his pain with. That changed now, she'd be the one who will help him through the trauma. After all without him she'd most likely be dead.

That night as Mei hugged Naruto while they slept this was the first time in a long time where Naruto had a dream but it wasn't a nightmare.

Now

We find Naruto and Mei at the gates of Konoha. After the incident with the dust assassin they made sure to rush towards Konoha as Naruto didn't feel like dealing with his enemy's today.

After they were both signed in they headed towards the Hokage tower. When they arrived Naruto saw the 2 other elder's.

" Mission report"

So Naruto told Hiruzen as well as the elders what happened. (If you want a recap reread the previous chapters.)

When Naruto finished his report the 2 elder's were smiling and he knew that they didn't like him so why were they smiling? After the report was done and the money was paid out both himself and Mei had left. After they left the elder's began to speak and Hiruzen knew that this was going to become a headache.

"You heard it, the boy lost control over the 9 tailed fox so he should be executed."

"Better yet we have Naruto teach the Uchiha everything he knows."

Hiruzen was getting tired of their constant talking and he was about to step in but someone beat him to it.

"Both of you stop disrespecting my soldier or else." Said that of Danzo

Meanwhile with Naruto.

We find Naruto walking through the village wearing his normal outfit as he didn't want the civilians to know that he's the winter soldier. As he walked by training ground 10 he heard the sound of a Kunai flying in the directions towards someone and his instincts took over. He appeared and deflected the kunai that Asuma had sent towards Ino.

Ino looked shocked. Why would Naruto do that for her?

"Hello Asuma-Sensei my apologies but my instincts took over."

"No apology necessary, we were just finishing up our training anyway."

"Naruto why did you do that?!"

"Instinct that's why. By the way Ino I had found a few scrolls from my last mission that I think that you'd be able to use."

"Why would you give me these scrolls. I was mean to you at the academy."

"Well these scrolls are from a now extinct clan known as the dust clan and their blood lines are very similar to yours. I can tell that you've taken your career as a shinobi very seriously. After all your hair is messy you have lots of bruises, and you look worse for the wear yet you're not complaining. So I'm going to trust my instincts on this one and trust that you'll make good on those scrolls."

Ino looked at the scrolls and smiled. She was glad that her father had taken her to the T&I department as that had broken her out of her ever since that day she started to Train with Asuma-Sensei like crazy and pushing herself to her limits. She'd make Naruto proud. Besides thinking about it these scrolls would be able to give herself the edge that she needed.

Meanwhile Hokage Tower

"You're supposed to be dead Danzo."

"Your right I would be dead if it weren't for Izanagi."

"So Hiruzen we have two options that we can down. The first option is where you execute me then Izanagi will trigger and it will become a repeated cycle. The other option is that you allow me to run ROOT besides you should be thanking me."

"Why would I thank you?"

"Because if it weren't for me Naruto wouldn't have been reawakened."

"Fine Danzo you can run ROOT but the moment you try to lay a finger on Naruto is the moment when you die again understand?"

"Crystal."

With that Danzo disappeared. Now he had to wonder if Danzo would actually lay a finger on him now? Probably not considering he just allowed him to keep ROOT. Unfortunately for Hiruzen he seemed to forget that the two village elders were still there as they left to make their plans.

A few days later

Hiruzen like always sent out letters to all of the village's asking them if they'd like to participate in the chunin exams and he only expected a response from Suna but it came to a surprise to him when Iwa, Kumo, Suna,Oto,Ame,Kusa and Taki had all accepted his invitation. So he thought about doing it the regular way but there will be all of these villages that are coming, some of whom are either neutral like Kumo or dislike Konoha Iwa or their Konoha's allies Suna. So it just wouldn't be allied shinobi's this time so he had to change it up.

Now the question is who to choose for the chunin exams? Naruto is an obvious choice after all being the Winter-Soldier and all would guarantee that at least one konoha shinobi will make it to the finals. He thought about team 8 they had potential after all from reports Hinata's confidence had gone up, while Kiba had grown less cocky,and as for Shino he'd grown more attached to his bugs. So team 8 is in.

For team 7 he wondered if he should make them wait a year then again if Sasuke wasn't placed in the chunin exams all he would hear is complaining from the two village elders. The team's saving grace in his opinion would have to be Sai being one of the people who Danzo trained to ROOT a strong candidate.

While the Uchiha is cocky from a mission report from Kakashi he'd awakened his sharingan so theirs that. As for the Sakura girl well she doesn't really have much potential unlike Ino who after graduation was broken from her fangirlism thanks to her father and is now taking her training seriously, Sakura is still on in that stage but maybe by having team 7 participate in the chunin exams it could snap her out of it.

For team 9 Gai had held back his team a year and each one of them had potential. Lee according to Gai has been able to open up to 3 gates without feeling side effects. TenTen didn't have much going for her but she was considered the Kunochi of the year last year so that had to mean something. As for Neji he's considered the Hyuuga prodigy. So Team 9 in while TenTen might hold the team back at least Lee and Neji could help them push through.

Now for his own son's team. Team 10 had the next generation of the Ino,Shika,Cho formation. According to his son, Ino after being broken from her fangirlism was able to get along with Shikumaru and Choji.

Also all 3 of them have been training just in different ways. Shikumaru started to actually train his body, not just his mind. After all, a smart Nara was common but a Nara with stamina was unheard of.

Choji had been eating more and while that might sound like a bad thing since he comes from the akimichi clan which relies on you to eat a lot in order to use their jutsu it was a good thing. Besides not only that all 3 of them are learning how to hunt in the wild and all 3 of them are learning different clan techniques.

So Team 10 in. Now the only thing he has left to do is to decide whether or not he should keep the chunin exams in Konoha? After all, this wouldn't be a problem if only Suna and Oto or the Waterfall village accepted his invitation since their allies with Suna and Oto is a relatively new village and Taki is a pretty small village in the grand scheme of things. But since Kumo and Iwa were thrown into the mix they could accuse Konoha of favoritism.

Depending on how bad said favoritism is could potentially lead to war and he didn't want war. If he moved the chunin exams to any of villages that are already participating then he or the elders would declare favoritism.

So it had to be a country that was neutral but also was strong enough where they could defend themselves so he thought about and the answer was clear to him.

Kiri was the best place to hold the chunin exams. After all they are a part of the big 5 and no one dared to mess with Kiri especially after the War they had just been. With Zabuza being the 4th Mizukage and an S-Class shinobi in the bingo-book no one he could think of would want to cause trouble in Kiri.

So he sent out a letter to all of the villages asking if they would be willing to go to Kiri for the exams instead. Lucky for him not only did all of the villages responded saying that they were fine with this. But Zabuza approved and he said that no Kiri shinobi will participate in order for Kiri to remain neutral. So with that he called Kakashi, Kurenai, Gai,Asuma, and Naruto to let them know about the chunin exams.

Ok Chapter 7 done. Now since Naruto doesn't have a sensei while the others do that's why he's being called in. Now I want to know from you guys on what the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd chuin exams should be. Please review and have a great day/night.
