A/N
Hi everyone, I'm back! I'm going to be updating all of my stories shortly so please feel free to comment which stories you want updates to first! I've been really busy with AP testing so I haven't been able to update as quickly as I'd like, thank you to everyone that has reviewed and DM'ed me about my stories, I'm so happy that you guys are enjoying them :)
Olivia's POV:
I ran through the dark murky forest, dark black smog engulfed my lungs and parched my throat.
The shadows circled around me, they all looked the same: an inhumanly shaped body with razor sharp claws with black piercing eyes.
The sky above me was a black and blue swirl, it almost looked apocalyptic. I felt very uneasy as my heart rate picked up,
I was suddenly so paranoid about the shadows that were now looking at me as if they were hungry mountain lions and I was their prey.
They moved closer to me and began circling me and looking me up and down until I made eye contact with the largest one: the leader.
The leader looked like someone I had seen before, someone I just couldn't place in my thoughts until I looked through its eyes hoping to see some
compassion but All I could see was pitch black death.
"AH", I shot straight up, sweat beaded my face and I could feel my lungs huffing and puffing keeping me from drowning in my night terrors.
I had been having terrifying nightmares since my kidnapping, they all ended the same with the those black eyes I had seen on my kidnapper, he had looked so inhuman without any trace of empathy or kindness. I had interviewed many serial killers and psychopaths during my prime SVU detective years but all of them had something in their eyes, a reason for what they did but those beady black eyes had nothing in them.
Nothing at all
Amanda's POV:
"What are you doing here?" I asked sternly at the being standing in my bathroom door. "And there is no reason for you to be in your shadow form" I said rolling my eyes.
"My apologies princess" he solely said as a puff of smoke surrounded him. His true form was a black and white ragged suit with silvery cuff links, his suit jacket was a muddy brown color that flared out behind him, his shoulders were adorned with matching skulls. The first skul was the first person I ever loved and the second skull was the first person I ever hated. His caramel complexion was was completed by crazed grey black hair and a jagged smirk.
I knew this wasn't his "true" form, nomadic dream beasts like him often take the form of something that would make the nearest being on edge and nervous.
"What are you doing here" I repeated looking straight into the death and destruction. My father had created these beings so my family was immune
to their haunting but most people are not and especially not any of organic friends.
"So quick to get to the point" Lewis added with a smirk. "Well if you must know, we have some unfinished business and you have something I need"
I felt my stomach drop, I knew exactly what he wanted and he knew too.
Nicks POV:
I hadn't heard from Amanda in several hours, she never turns her phone off and is always quick to answer her phone but recently, she seems to be a lot more social so I don't worry too much.
But when Fin told her that Olivia was missing, I was even more worried because Amanda hadn't shown up to help with the investigation, sure I knew that her and Olivia weren't the best of friends but I assumed that she would still want to see Olivia safe at home.
She and Olivia had a pretty bad argument earlier in the week, Olivia didn't trust Amanda because of her gambling addiction and Amanda was being
reckless. While I understand Olivia's anger, Amanda's methods have allowed us to catch some of the worst criminals. I also might be slightly biased
considering that Amanda and I had been sleeping together in the months prior.
"Hey" A young commanding voice knocked me out of my out of my thoughts. A young women that looked to be in her mid twenties glared at me.
She wore a black jumpsuit with knee high boots, she had a crest engraved to her chest, the same crest I recognized from Amanda's favorite necklace. She had wavy highlighted hair that was dolled up into an intricate braided bun, she had striking winged eye liner and tan skin that almost hid her disgusted scowl.
There were three other beings that stood behind her each wearing the same crest and the same scowl.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" I questioned nervously
"I go by Mia and I was sent here to find Olivia Benson" she replied while down turning her eyes and glaring at me.
Amanda's POV:
When by father had created these nomadic bests he had assumed that they would listen to him, follow his orders and obey him however that is far from what actually happened. Instead these bests were complaint for a short amount of time but then they revolted and instead of using their powers on prisoners, they used them to escape into the dark forest.
My Dad did however have a fail safe, a person in my family that would have the power to set them free from their eternal damnation and that person was me.
"I have your friend, Olivia was it?" I turned my head back toward him, "Shes locked away somewhere that you'll never find, unless you have me, I'll bring you to her on one condition."
I had no leverage over him, no choices.
"What do you need me to do?" I stifled
"I want my freedom from your reign forever and I want be set free to the human world so I can feed off their dreams for all eternity. Whats it going to be princess? Will you agree to my terms or will you let your friend suffer from my nightmares for the rest of her life?"
