It has been a while in this cell. But it is not horrible. I have been fed like 5 times and they refill a bottle for me. I got bored and started talking to the clones. They are nice and funny. The two guarding my door are pretty cool. I talk to them through the wall. They told me about a crazy battle on a planet called Geonosis. They also have filled me in on the gaps of knowledge about the current state of the galaxy. Being a slave kind of thins your knowledge of history. Anakin came back again and played a holo game cast by his droid R2 D2. The droid is cool too. It feels so weird to be in a place where people are nice and seem genuine. Maybe being kidnapped was a good thing. Also, Anakin was telling me about his people, the Jedi. They sound so cool, warriors with lightsabers that protect people. That is exactly what I want to do. Maybe I will get to meet some more of them, so far they have been really nice and cool.

The more I talk to her the more she reminds me of me. She is strong in the force too, I can feel it, and I think Obi-Wan can too. He still thinks the council won't accept my proposal of having her join the order. Maybe I can do what Qui-Gon did for me and stand up for her. Only if she wants to join. I am afraid that if we release her, Dooku will have her captured, or turned to the dark side, or kill her. I don't think I am ready to take on a padawan. But I will do what I must. Let's hope that she is as fond of being a Jedi as she is about escaping.

Anakin enters my cell.

"Are you back for a rematch and have your dignity redeemed?"

"No, I wanted to ask you if given the opportunity, would you like to be a Jedi?"

"Of course, saving people with special abilities, count me in."

"Ok. Ok."

"You know me and my… friend, we used to talk about what we would do if we had powers and we would think of silly situations our powers would get us out of. We would say we would free all of the slaves and be the head of a rebellion against the Zygerrians."

"I used to have those thoughts when I was young. Of how my mom and I would run away to some pretty forest planet and be happy together."

"Looks like both of us got what we dreamed of."

"Yeah, but at what cost."

The vibe of the room goes from cheery to dark.

"Will I get to meet more Jedi? Are they more like you or Obi-Wan?"

"Yes, and nobody is like me."

"Suuurrre."

His wrist starts blinking.

"Anakin we are back at Coruscant."

"Thank you, Rex."

He looks at me with a grin on his face.

"Time to meet the council."

We get off the ship and I walk into a world of busyness and claustrophobia. Even though the planet is so jam-packed it is also so beautiful. So many ships and all the lights and the super tall buildings.

"Oh my. It is beautiful."

The dirt and pollution only add to its charm. I have only ever been in dirty and hot environments. This place is cool and amazing.

"If you are amazed by this, wait until you reach the temple."

A ginormous tan building with towers and gardens and just the feeling of force lay before my eyes. Our tiny ship approaches the landing pad. Men in white masks and robes protect the entrance. A small green man with a cane and a Kel dor approach me.

"A guest, you have brought."

"Yes master Yoda, this is Ahsoka, the force-sensitive we encountered during our Zygerria mission."

"And Dooku?"

"Dooku escaped but we know and have acquired what he was after."

"Interested in Ahsoka, Dooku was?"

"Yes, and she has agreed to cooperate with us."

"Well then, Ahsoka, join us and we will debrief the rest of the council."

"Sorry, what are your names again?'

"I am Master Plo Koon and this is Grandmaster Yoda."

"Nice to meet you."

After I get a change of clothing I am joined by Anakin in front of a circle of chairs. Each has a Jedi Master. I feel their stares. The only clothing they had for me was more revealing and the more skin, the more scars. I wish Numa was here. She would find a way to lighten the mood and take my mind off of that.

"Hello Ahsoka, I am Master Windu. Skywalker speaks quite highly of you."

I look at Anakin with a smirk and he shakes his head.

"Nice to meet you, Master Windu."

"You are dismissed Ahsoka, go ahead and wait outside while we talk to Skywalker."

"Thank you."

I walk out and stand in the hall waiting for something else to be told to me.

"Jedi Knight Skywalker, Obi-Wan told me you have a request from the council."

"Yes, Master. I stand before you as Qui-Gon did all those years ago. Let Ahsoka join the order. I will train her myself."

"No."

"Master Windu, you have to see that she is strong with the force. And what if she were to fall into Dooku's hands, do we need a new enemy."

"If she is as strong as she is, he won't fall to the dark side."

"Like her, I do. Unknown of her fate."

"Skywalker we will discuss amongst ourselves, but at this moment she will not be a Jedi."

I walk out as calmly as I can. I see Ahsoka outside the door and her big hopeful eyes lose hope when she sees my expression.

"It was a no wasn't it."

"It was we'll think about it, so there is still hope."

"Sure. Every time somebody has said that there's a chance for better, it always gets worse."

"Well to pass the time I want you to meet one of my oldest friends."

We get into a speeder and head off to Padme's office. I hope Obi-Wan sticks up for me in there. Yoda seemed keen on the idea too. Hopefully seeing my wife will give me some clear thoughts. Ahsoka stares at the moving speeders and the lights.

"It is cool, isn't it. Like the stars right in front of you."

"Exactly, I was starting to begin to believe that all planets were dirty and hot."

"I get that feeling. We are here, the senate building."

I see a beautiful woman turn around and smile in our direction.

"Ani. Your back. And you have a new friend."

"Padme I would like you to meet Ahsoka, Ahsoka this is Senator Padme Amidala."

"Your outfit is amazing."

"Thank you. So Ahsoka, what business do you have on Coruscant?"

"I was a prisoner and now I am trying to become a Jedi."

"You know the Jedi work with us Senators a lot so I might see you around."

"That is if I am accepted."

"Well if this dude is allowed to be a Jedi, you have to be welcomed. Nice meeting you but I have some very important business to attend to. See you later Anakin."

She walks away towards a group of what I assume are senators.

"She is very nice and pretty."

"That she is."

"Wait, are you two?"

He looks at me all big-eyed and whips his head back and forth trying to say no.

"I knew it from the moment she said Ani. You guys are not hiding a thing."

"You can't tell anyone. It is off-limits for Jedi to have attachments."

"That is dumb. How are you supposed to be compassionate and all those other things you said if you can't even love. Although I have a self vow never to love again, it should not be forced by some ancient code."

"See, this is why I like you. But if you say anything like this to the Jedi, you cut your chances to 0 for becoming a Jedi."
"Got it, celibacy is the answer."

"No, technically you're still allowed to do that."

"Huh, well it makes it a little better. But still stupid."

"Yep, let's head back and see if they reached a decision."
