*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
The alarm blared loudly above all other sounds in the house. Marco knew that the family had somewhere to be that day, and he was not someone to let a day come down to chance. He was THE rule abiding kid. Sometimes things like the loud alarms get on Star's nerves, but she knows that he was the purest of intentions. If he wasn't the way that he was, there is a really good chance that she wouldn't have become the person that she did.
Marco was the first person to wake up this morning. He reached over and slapped the alarm clock, silencing it. When he tried to pry himself out of bed, Star's iron grip on the boy disallowed it. Star, wide awake, simply muttered "Five more minutes…"
It was something that Star did almost every morning. It was such a usual occurrence that Marco actually set an alarm fifteen minutes earlier than he wanted to be awake. The typical morning routine was one of comfort. One of Star's deepest delights was listening to Marco's heartbeat. She listened to his heart to go to sleep, to get herself out of bed, to calm her nerves, and many other things.
Marco giggled at Star's request and got into prime heartbeat position. Star appreciated his actions and immediately set her head on the middle of his chest. "Those abs are really coming in huh?" Star asked.
"Well I'm turning sixteen in a month, so it makes sense that my body would be toning up." Marco responded while internally blushing profusely.
"Excited to see the Monster Village?" Star asked, unmoving from the boy's chest.
"Yeah, now that I'm thinking about it, we probably could have helped a little more." Marco added.
"They wouldn't let us….remember?" Star answered.
"Oh yeah… I guess you're right." Marco added.
Marco then tried to get up again, it had been five minutes by now. He figured that it would fail, so he wasn't surprised when Star simply grabbed harder. In a last ditch effort to get up, Marco unzipped the hoodie that the girl was holding and managed to slip out.
"I win!" Marco exclaimed.
"No, I win." Star argued, starting to zip the hoodie up, now on her body.
"I'm never getting that back…"

An hour later - 9:00 am
The couple had finally left the bed after more than an hour of struggling from Marco. It isn't like Marco didn't love being with her, but they had something important to do today. Maybe afterwards, the two could have some fun together.
Marco, now missing his signature hoodie, decided to wear a more simple outfit. The event they would attend later wasn't one that was formal by any means, even Angie and Rafael would come wearing their usual clothes. He opted to wear some shorts and some Goblin Dog merchandise. The shirt had two words on it, big enough for anyone to see 'HAWT DOG' which was accompanied by a Goblin Dog with a face on it just below.
Star, refusing to leave the hoodie, kept that on and wore her shorts from the beach day just as Marco had. After the two were changed and ready, they met downstairs. Once they got down, they noticed three people. There was Angie, Rafael, and Mariposa. They were all very much awake and in a very good mood as well.
Hopefully since Star had...prepared herself… today, the events wouldn't be the same as yesterday. The plan was to head to the Monster Village at noon and hang out for an hour or two before heading back into town. What they would do in town wasn't exactly decided by now, but no matter what, they would have their fair share of fun.
For now though, the family could relax...or that's what they thought. A loud knock was heard at the front door.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*
At the sound, Marco headed toward the door. The knock sounded familiar, but where had he heard it before?
When the boy made it to the door, he opened it casually. To his surprise, it was Eclipsa. "Eclipsa, what's up? Come in, please." Marco asked graciously.
"Nothing much dear, I just wanted to check in on my favorite knight and his family!" Eclipsa answered.
Star then took the chance to join Marco by his side and join the conversation, "We are doing very well now that nothing wants to kill us for the time being!"
"Oh isn't that...delightful?" Eclipsa nervously agreed before continuing, "Can I expect to see the two of you at the event tonight?"
"The five of us actually!" Angie hollered from the kitchen.
"Oh, hello Mrs. Diaz! I am thrilled to hear it!" Eclipsa gleefully said.
"We wouldn't miss it for the world." Marco added while grabbing Marco's hand sneakily. Eclipsa, being the crowned queen of sneaking, noticed the boy's actions and simply asked, "Glad you didn't get rid of those pesky feelings of yours are we?"
Marco blushed visibly. Star noticed and answered for the boy, "I think we are doing pretty alright if I may be so bold." As she said that last bit, she shot Marco a flirtatious glance, attempting to make him blush more. She always found it incredibly cute when Marco was flustered.
"Then I'm glad that I never gave you that spell." Eclipsa said too quietly for anyone besides the couple to hear.
"Well I must be going. I have many families to greet before noon. Good day!" Eclipsa finished before waving goodbye.
The two teens returned the favor, only shutting the door once Eclipsa made it to the sidewalk. "You're gonna have to tell me about that spell later.." Star joked.
"Hey, you were dating Tom at the time and I-" Marco was cut off by Star, who responded "Hey, we all make mistakes don't we? Otherwise we might have been together by the time that the Blood Moon ball happened!" That made Marco smile.
After everyone had settled down by now and Star and Marco sat on the couch with Mariposa. "Hey, I know it's a weird question and all, but how did you guys choose her name?" Marco was bound to have to tell her eventually, but the reasoning was so strange that Marco was afraid Star would be weirded out by it.
Marco ultimately decided to not keep secrets and told her "Well you know how we all speak spanish right?" Star nodded at the question and Marco continued, "Well my parents asked me what they thought they should name her, so I came up with the name Mariposa...which means….Butterfly." Star initially gasped at the revelation, but soon changed her expression to one of adoration.
In the same face she made in the 'night of the booth', she squealed in happiness. Marco let his awkward frown waiver once he noticed that Star wasn't concerned by it. "Marco, that is like the cutest thing ever!" Star practically screamed before yelping and tackling Marco, with Mari in hand.
On impact, Marco got the wind knocked out of him before reciprocating the hug. "Wait, when did you name her?" Star asked. "Uhhhh...it was the day that you were gonna go on your trip with Tom.." Marco, still nervous, explained.
"It really is a beautiful name, maybe I should have not taken my time so much huh?" Star joked. "You said it best yourself, we all make mistakes don't we?" Marco added. Upon hearing this, Star gripped his hand tighter and leaned on his shoulder, with one hand preparing to "boop" the baby. Marco knew what she was doing, but he wouldn't impose. Surely it couldn't cause as big of an issue as it did with the Buff Babies.
Upon contact, Mari cooed loudly and grabbed Star's finger and put it in her mouth. "Weird…" Star whispered. While Mariposa was sucking on Star's finger, Marco giggled to himself and simply laid back and sighed in happiness. For him, happiness had been an elusive target for roughly the last year. Only once Star and Tom finally broke up was Marco able to be happy again. Tad was right on the beach, he had feelings for Star for as long as he had known her, but was too immature to act on it until recently. All was perfect now and Marco couldn't hope for anything more from the world.
When Marco had plopped down and sunk further into the couch, Star took her opportunity and popped her finger out of the child's mouth, replacing it with a pacifier and cuddled up close into Marco's side.
Feeling the girl on his thoughts getting comfortable against his side only served to increase Marco's already maximized happiness. Marco couldn't help it when the hairs on his arm started to straighten and vicious goosebumps ravaged his body. Upon feeling Marco suddenly stiffen, Star spoke, "Everything alright there Diaz?"
"Yeah Star, they really are." Marco spoke through the massive smile across his face. Star wasn't completely convinced until Marco spoke again, "I don't think I've ever been this happy before Star, things are just so… perfect."
At that last bit, Star reminisced upon her memories of Marco, was it true? Has he never been this happy? He was with Jackie and he seemed pretty happy then, but now, admittedly, he seemed pretty happy. Star, having just been broken up with mere weeks ago, found it hard to believe that Marco was really that happy with her, but his body language spoke for itself. All signs pointed to yes, but Star was just not confident with herself.
"Well...I'm glad to hear it Marco." Star said, visibly feeling distraught. "What's wrong Star?" Marco asked. It was a simple question with a simple answer, but Star didn't want to ruin the mood, so she lyingly responded with "Nothing, everything's perfect!" with a fake smile on her face. Marco could tell something was up, but chose to not push her on it at the time.

Two hours later - 11:00 am
The two hadn't since left the couch. In fact, they managed to doze off. Mariposa followed suit and the only two conscious people in the house were talking to each other from across the dining table. They weren't eating, but there wasn't any room left on the couch, so they didn't mind sitting in the next room.
The TV was on and tuned into the news. Naturally, much was happening around Echo Creek around this time, what with the clashing of worlds and whatnot. Now that Echo Creek was ceded from America, there was time to discuss a great many things. There was of course the election, which would be held on New Year's Day. There was also the matter of Monsters entering society, which was happening relatively smoothly, to Humanity's credit. But more surprising to the parents in the dining room, was the current topic, Mewman-Human connections.
The theory was that Mewmans were actually Humans. There was no difference on the outside, and the lead scientists were testing to see if there was any difference on the inside. It was hard to find volunteers, but when they could, it made for some serious revelations. There was no major difference on the inside either. There were of course some different traits, like Mewman alcoholic tolerance, but there was also the confusing topic on the queens' former cheek marks.
Angie, watching the TV from behind the couch, asked Rafael "Crazy world we live in huh Raf?"
"Oh yes, very crazy. Yesterday, I lost my Frankenstein blowup thing." Rafael responded.
"Thank you, that is exactly what I meant.." Angie said flatly.
After a few minutes of relative silence, a smell began to brew from the couch. It was Mariposa. You couldn't blame her, she's just a teenage baby… After the smell became too much to bear, Star woke up. Her movement then woke up Marco as well. Both of the teens winced at the smell. They immediately ran the baby over to the parents and ran away as if the baby was a bomb.
Once they had gotten away, they went outside to the front yard and sat down on the end of the minivan.
"Close call." The two spoke in unison.
"Did we just fall asleep with a poopy baby on top of us?" Marco asked rhetorically.
"No, YOU fell asleep with a poopy baby on top of you bub." Star mocked.
"I'm definitely showering later…" Marco softly spoke.
"I'm definitely joining you…" Star cooed. Marco nearly fainted at the insinuations. Star took note and kissed him on the forehead before getting up from the car and pulling Marco up. Marco was frozen, but was following her as he was being dragged. Star brought the boy inside and told the parents that they were going into town and would meet the parents in front of Monster Village at four.
In response, Angie waved and said "Alright, don't be late!"
The two were gone. They would walk into town to do who knows what. Even Star, whose idea it was to go into town, had no idea what to do. That was until Marco, now recovered from Star's earlier actions, asked if she wanted tacos. Of course, Star could never turn down Britta's Tacos, so they would head there of course.
After a relatively short and peaceful walk, the duo arrived at the taco shop. Despite the magic being dissolved, Marco still received his royalty checks. It wasn't about sales, it was more of a life contract kind of thing.
Once the couple walked up to the store front, they began to order. Star of course ordered her signature sacrilege surggartios, causing Marco to huff. Marco, more simply ordered a few tacos to enjoy.
After about five minutes, the two received their order and made it to their table. It was the same one that they sat at when they came back to Earth before, but things were different this time. They didn't have a baby for people to make insinuations about, there was no awkward air between Marco and Jackie, and Star wasn't 'doing nothing'.
It was oddly quiet at Britta's that day, but there was a reason for that. The teens assumed that maybe people were just busy that day, what with the reopening and whatnot. Even still, it was very quiet at the shop. It was so devoid of activity that after the two had finished their meal, Sensei and Oskar joined the couple at the table, hoping to spice up their dull day.
"Hey Star, Hey Mango!" Oskar greeted the couple.
"Hi Oskar, Mango and I are very happy to see you guys!" Star responded, giggling at Marco's annoyed expression.
"The two of you deal with the baby?" Sensei asked after looking both ways to make sure the coast was clear.
"No, we didn't kill my sister Sensei…" Marco stated flatly.
The air was awkward once again as a silence fell over the group. Star was typically the one to break the silence, and that wouldn't change.
"Well at least things couldn't get more awkward…" Star stated, only after she said it did she realise that something would surely happen to make things worse now.
Just as the words were uttered, someone tapped Star on the shoulder, causing her to jump. It was someone who she could recognize from touch alone by this point, whether or not she liked it. It was Tom. As a demon, he kept his powers after the magic vanished and was able to come and go from the overworld as he pleased.
"Tom? Tom!" Marco questioned before tackling the boy into a hug. Despite Marco and Tom's obvious tension on the topic of Star, the two had grown to become great friends as time passed. Although Tom had given Marco permission to date Star, it still felt weird between the two nonetheless.
"Uh Marco.. You can get off now…" Tom spoke, currently crushed under Marco.
Star was simply a spectator to whatever was going on, but it was definitely an interesting thing, so maybe she could wait to interject.
"Oh uhh… sorry Tom, just haven't seen you since the cleave and it's just nice to see you…" Marco reasoned.
"Yeah, I guess, I have a life too you know?" Tom asked. There was a note of distaste in the way that Tom spoke, but it wasn't at the situation around them, but it was at Marco. He was mad at Marco for some reason, but nobody could know why. It was a topic for later because Star came to Marco's rescue after far too long sitting silent (Yes, one line is far too long).
"Well the two of us were going to head over to the Butterfly Castle right now, but if you guys wanna hang out a little longer?" Star said, fully showing her intentions to leave the group behind.
They did have to go to the Castle, but it wasn't very urgent. They wanted to go see Eclipsa at home before the Reopening, especially now that it meant getting away from the disgruntled demon.
The two made to dash away from the group and succeeded. Star was a freakishly fast girl due to her Johansen lineage, so she was able to go at speeds comparable to the cars surrounding the couple, even while dragging a slower Marco behind her. Not that she minded the longer walks with Marco, but she would really like to outrun these cars sometimes because Star believed that the cars only stood to challenge her.
It was admittedly stupid, but one day Star would get what she wants and she would outrun the cars and see what they say then. Probably nothing considering the fact that cars are in fact inanimate, but it still served Star's thriving ego.

Inside Butterfly Castle 1:00 pm
Admittedly, the group needed to speed up if they were to make it to their hopefully uneventful event, but their pace hadn't hurt them yet.
Now that they had made it to Eclipsa and Globgor's quarters, the two knocked before entering.
"Hey Eclipsa, what-" Star tried to greet the Queen but was interrupted by a slightly older looking Meteora who tackled her and Marco.
The baby was shockingly strong and it obviously still held a grudge toward Marco because she was still glaring at the boy, even in complete submission.
Globgor then left the royal bed, grabbed Meteora and carried her to the bed with him, propping a bottle into her mouth. Once the demimewman baby was dealt with, the teens got off of the floor and continued their stride toward the royal couple.
Eventually, the duo made it to the other duo and began their conversation.
"Everything going as smoothly as you would have hoped?" Star asked. It was as if those specific words set off the queen, because she shot an annoyed look at Star. Globgor then spoke for the Queen, "There were no Snookers in the vending machine…"
As if that was enough to justify the Queen's annoyance, Marco and Star looked at each other and shrugged.
"Sorry for bothering you guys, we were just trying to kill some time before the event later." Marco calmly spoke.
In response, the Queen's expression softened and she finally spoke in return to the kids, "I do apologise for my outburst, but you know what they say… you're not you when you're hungry."
The tension in the room seemed to vanish, but that wouldn't last long because the royal couple did have something to tell the couple.
"Unfortunately, to answer your question, things are not going very smoothly my dear children. It would seem that there is a ploy of some sorts that hopes to derail the progress that we have made." Eclipsa solemnly said.
"Yes, kids. We are afraid that we must warn you to keep you and yours safe. Of course we have taken measures to mitigate any danger that may come, but to be safe, keep each other close." Globgor added in his signature accent.
Marco and Star then glanced at each other with seriously worried expressions before, once again in unison, saying "He/She won't be hurt, I promise."
Hearing the two speak so seriously about the safety of their other half was usually enough to make Eclipsa's heart melt, and now wasn't any exception. She simply let out a small "Aww" in her english accent with a massive smile dawning on her face.
The teens didn't even blush though. They were very serious about the topic. They were about as devoted to each other's well being as anybody could imagine. After being through everything that they had, it only made sense.
Eclipsa then interrupted the teens' ogling at one another by saying, "You two should get going, long day ahead of you two."
The two nodded and walked out of the room holding each other's hands.
Their next and final destination would be what is left of the Yurt Kingdom. The wanted to see the former king and queen because it had been a while and Star likely missed her parents.
After about thirty more minutes of walking, the two arrived at the gate of the kingdom. The same man as before was manning the drawbridge, so once he saw Star, he recognized her and wordlessly opened the gate with a nod.
Star nodded in return, still holding Marco's hand. The two entered the kingdom and made for the center of the village. Once they got there, they knocked on the door to the yurt containing Moon and River. After about thirty seconds, the door creaked open.
The door was opened by River, who was wearing only a loincloth as he usually had. Upon seeing his daughter, he lunged at her and hugged her in a way that only a Johanson could. The hug was tight, but Star knew of some that were tighter and had grown accustomed to it.
After a quite lengthy hug, River peeled off and finally took note of the usual boy that was holding his daughter's hand, "Ahh! Marco my boy! Glad to see you and Star are doing alright… I was alright with Tom, but everyone knew that she would eventually find her way to you."
This comment, unlike the one Eclipsa made, made Marco and Star both blush. After embarrassing the two, River stepped aside and gestured for the two to come inside.
"What brings you two here?" River asked. He was met with no response to his question, rather he would get a question of his own to answer, "Where's Mom?" Star asked.
River then answered his daughter's question by telling her, "Oh well she is getting ready for the Monster Village thingy later of course." River never liked the royal events, so now that he wasn't royal, he vowed to himself to never go to one again.
Marco and Star nodded at the revelation and sat down on the straw furniture inside the yurt. The two had been walking all day, so taking a break before the event would certainly help the two.
"Well, it's really nice to see you River, I wish we could have met with you guys sooner, but we have been really busy lately, so we never found the chance." Marco said, hoping to break the silence that had festered in the room.
"Yes, yes my boy. It is very nice seeing you as well. You better make sure the two of you don't get BUSY any time soon." River said in response. The first half of the sentence was sincere, but the second was one of threat.
Marco gulped as he began dripping in sweat. Star took her opportunity to save Marco by scooting in between the two men and quickly spoke, "Oh don't worry dad, Marco would never do something like that!" Of course Star wasn't wrong, but she purposely glazed over the fact that she herself was a very different case. She had already made some certain promises today that she had zero intention on forgetting.
After about twelve minutes of waiting for Moon, she walked out of the bedroom and into the living room of the yurt. Upon walking out of the room, she noticed the glare that River was giving Marco and called to River, "Honey, don't tell me you're doing THAT again."
"I am doing no such thing! I am simply threatening my future son-in-law! What is so wrong with that?" River shouted in response.
"DAD?!" Star yelled.
Marco didn't do anything, for he was as frozen in place as the tent itself. He was just doing nothing in hopes that maybe River would give up. After seeing the Johanson have a staring contest with a bald eagle, he knew that that wouldn't happen, but what else could he do but hope.
"What honey? This boy has bad intentions. I can feel it!" River responded.
"Dad, he saved the kingdom twice in the last year and you still don't trust him?" Star asked.
"That was before he made you dive into the magic and leave us behind!" River yelled.
Moon had had just about enough of the argument, so she took the opportunity to stop it by changing the subject, "Whatever. Honey, what brings you here right before the reopening?"
"Moon, we just came by to visit. We just wanted to kill some time before-" Marco made to speak for the first time in a few minutes, but was interrupted by River, who practically thundered at the boy "HE WANTS TO KILL TIME? I TOLD YOU HE HAD BAD INTENTIONS!"
"DAD! IT IS JUST A METAPHOR!" Star said, defending Marco by grabbing his arm and pulling him behind her.
"Dear, you must stop berating Marco at some point." Moon said flatly.
"Yes, I will stop at some point, just not now!" River responded.
Star rolled her eyes and spoke above everyone else, "We came by to visit at first, but now we just want to warn you. Eclipsa told us that something bad might happen later, so now that you are thoroughly warned, we are leaving". At that last bit, Star scoffed. She stomped out of the tent while dragging Marco, who was waving awkwardly at the girl's parents on the way out.
Once outside, the two began walking toward the exit of the village and began talking to each other once more. "So infuriating." Star said. Marco, who had only heard her use that word once before, decided to try and help her out with the situation this time, "Yeah sorry, I probably should have helped you out a bit more back there."
Star then tightened her grip on Marco's hand and spoke again, "Obviously I'm not talking about you boo. I can't believe my dad sometimes."
Marco smiled at hearing the nickname, and reasoned "Well most dads are like that toward their daughter's boyfriends here on Earth, so I guess it is normal."
Star then added, "Most boyfriends couldn't punch a hole through a guy who killed their girlfriend though now could they?"
Marco giggled and spoke again, "Yeah, I guess you're right, but I really am okay with it. He just wants to keep you safe, just like me."
Star punched him on the arm and said, "Don't worry, I can throw him down a mountain remember? Even without magic, I can fend for myself Diaz."
"I never doubted that." Marco responded softly, earning a soft kiss on the cheek from Star.

At the ribbon before the Monster Village - 3:44 pm
There was a large crowd outside of the front gates and it was only growing as time went on. The ribbon would be cut in fifteen minutes and the new village would be open after a month of hard work.
Among the crowd was the whole Diaz family, Marco and Star included. There was Moon, Buffrog and his buff babies, and even Ludo showed up to the event. It was like everybody was there. It was definitely a good thing too. It made a good push toward binding the community as one.
As the minutes skipped by, the anticipation only grew. To most people that helped rebuild the village, it was something to be proud of, and to those who didn't, or weren't allowed to, it was something to marvel at and explore once the pesky ribbon was chopped.
"Are you two excited?" Raphael asked the two teens, who responded with an enthusiastic nod. The two were truly ecstatic to see what the new town had to offer. What could they have? Good food? Fun activities? Surely the town would be great.
After fifteen more minutes of crowding, Eclipsa had appeared. She looked worried.
"HELLO TO MY BELOVED SUBJECTS!" Eclipsa yelled so the whole crowd could hear, "IT IS TIME TO OPEN THE NEW MONSTER VILLAGE!"
Everyone in the crowd cheered loudly as Eclipsa continued, "MY HUSBAND GLOBGOR IS GOING TO DO THE HONORS!" After she said this, the tall monster walked up to the ribbon with giant scissors in one hand and a baby in the other.
As the monster made it to the ribbon, the crowd silenced for a moment so they could truly enjoy the moment. "Alright, here we go!" Globgor said as he held the scissors to the ribbon and began to close them. It was tantalisingly slow. Every inch that the scissors closed was loud and the crowd could hardly contain itself.
In the distance - at the same moment
There was someone looking through something to see the event from a far. It wasn't a pair of binoculars or a telescope though, it was the scope of a rifle.
It was a standard hunting rifle that nearly anybody could get their hands on fairly easily. In the case of the person holding it, the gun was stolen. As someone who had no money, the person would have to take anything that they wanted. They had no plans on joining this putrid society that was about to be forged.
As the person holding the rifle peeled back from the scope for a moment, the person holding the gun was revealed for a moment. It was someone with light purple hair, admittedly thinner than it would have been in years past. The person dawned two pigtails that fell outside of the dark cloak they were wearing. The person wasn't very tall, but they were clearly no child. They had a certain disposition to them that was filled with hatred that no child could hope to possess. As her face pulled back from the scope, there was a face that anyone at the event would recognize if they saw it.
The face belonged to the very same person who had destroyed the town in the first place, it was Mina Loveberry. She was in terrible shape though. She was dirty beyond belief, wore tattered black robes, and are those…. Wrinkles? Yes, yes they are. Mina was aging far more rapidly than she had hoped, but for the time being, she was still capable of carrying out her plans for the afternoon. Her plan, of course, was to hurt someone. She hadn't decided which person yet, but she was running out of time to choose, so she finally decided. 'I'll take out the person that holds this all together. Mewni will be for the humans once again if only I could take HER out'. Her thoughts were interrupted by some shuffling in the bushes behind her. She heard a stick snap and snapped her view in the direction of the noise. There was a Monster Knight charging her. It was time to take her shot before it was too late.
So she lined up her shot as quickly as possible and fired.
BANG
The sound itself was short lived, but the silence that followed was as well.
PLOP
The sound of someone hitting the ground was as loud as the noise of the scissors finally closing. The ribbon fell, but nobody rushed into the town. Eclipsa stood in shock as there was a bullet hole directly to the right of her head in the stone wall beside her. The shock wasn't at the proximity of her death however, but at the Man lying on the ground. Globgor was hit.
Mina was untrained and rushed her shot, hitting someone different in the process. Globgor lay on the ground, motionless, no longer holding his daughter. Eclipsa rushed to the body that lay on the ground and started yelling, "SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!" Immediately, Rafael picked up his phone and dialled 911.
About twenty seconds passed before a second noise could be heard.
BANG
This shot was not as close though. It came from the woods that flanked the village. Immediately, the knights that were by Eclipsa's side started to sprint into the woods toward the noise.
Sirens could be heard growing close to the scene. Eclipsa and Meteora sat next to Globgor as a human from the crowd had come to Globgor's aid, applying pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding. The blood was everywhere by now. He was shot directly through his chest, right at the center. No matter how untrained Mina was, she had hit him directly, possibly in the heart.
That was why the urgency of the ambulance couldn't have been more important. The crowd remained still around the scene, Star and Marco included. Star had simply pulled Marco into a hug and cozied up in the hoodie she was wearing.
There was nothing anybody could do to help the situation, so when the ambulance finally arrived, everyone sighed in relief. The night was not over yet though.
As Globgor was loaded into the car, he remained unconscious and motionless. Eclipsa could only hope that the man she loved was still alive.
After Globgor was in the car, the doctor in the back told Eclipsa "We're heading to the hospital. What's his name? We'll check him in so you can visit once you get there." Eclipsa nodded and answered "His name is Globgor. He doesn't have a last name." The doctor nodded at Eclipsa and slammed the door to the ambulance. The car sped off in the direction of the Monster Village. Why was it going there? There isn't a hospital in there-
Just before anyone could think that, they looked in the direction of the new village and spotted a huge hospital. With the entire community helping out to build the place, there was plenty of time in one month to get a lot of things made.
Eclipsa then made to sprint toward the village, but was grabbed on the arm by Star, who pointed to the Diaz family's minivan, which was already started with everyone inside and a door open.
She then nodded and sprinted toward the van, jumped in and shut the door.
The car then started moving, albeit at somewhat low speeds, but faster than Eclipsa could run, so it was better than nothing.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hey guys, sorry it took so long to get this chapter done. I had a lot going on in my life and I wasn't really full of inspiration. This story will be continued in part two, but before that, I have to announce another project that I will be starting. I am going to be making a second fanfic. It will be named: Soul Bound, and it will be placed at the end of season 2 of svtfoe/the beginning of season 2. It is going to be about Star and Marco falling for each other, to which Tom is furious about. I do have to mention that the chapters of that story and this one will be coming out slower indefinitely due to varsity football picking up next week. I will still be writing in that time, but practice takes a lot out of me, so it will be harder. Sorry for the longer author's note, but I needed to push that. Thanks for reading though! Please feel free to leave a review and a follow/favorite. To see my new fic, check out my profile soon. No guarantee that the new story will be up by the time you check, but it will be up soon for sure. Byeeee.
