Dark Ocean-Lighthouse

Devimon stood alone contemplating the horrors he would unless to the duo that killed him so long ago. The man or at least he appeared to be a man known as Gennai had left awhile ago. Gennai has proved instrumental upon his reawakening to educate the demon on the outside world since he's been gone. He was FURIOUS he's been dead for nearly uncountable years in the Digital World. However, despite the time-frame, the boy was only a little over 10 years older. Despite what would have been an unattainable power gap since the two last battled; he felt stronger than ever before. Gennai had promised that he gave him some "upgrades". What those upgrades were, however; Devimon did not know.

His first plan was to use this new power and start conquering some land then raising an army with the soul purpose of ending that brat and his angle Digimon. However, when Gennai explained that he didn't have enough time as the brat's partner would be gone soon, he felt defeated. HE was supposed to be the one to end the angel NOT some timer. However, his new "friend" has thought of a unique solution, he would travel to the real world and bring the brat, his Digimon partner, and his lover to the dark ocean. That way not only would he have his revenge, but he would also be able to kill that brat's lover AND Digimon partner right in front of him. That way the kid will suffer worse than he has suffered. Yes, it won't be long now, Devimon thought to himself. He imagined the shear panic in the boy's face and relished the thought. Soon he thought to himself while smiling in the darkness.

The Real World-Kari's College

Kari shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Today was almost impossible to pay attention to any of her classes. Her mind kept wandering back to Gatomon. While she did feel better after her meltdown with T.K. (which she was now 100% sure Gatomon heard); she still felt like skipping class to be with her friend. However, Gatomon (who was able to evolve last night from Salamon) forbid that as she REFUSED to have Kari get farther behind in her studies for her sake.

Well at least it's not too much longer till the day ends she thought to herself. Well, another plus is that T.K. promised to meet her after her classes were done. She was sure that he and Patamon were waiting outside with Gatomon now.

Finally, the professor dismissed the class and Kari headed to the student lounge where T.K. told her that he would wait for her to finish class. He felt it easier to blend into the crowed there and avoid any extra attention he might get for not being a student at the college.

It didn't take long for her to find her boyfriend….no not boyfriend, just friend. Even though those two did share a touching moment together, neither one of them has asked the other out…yet. She was getting a little upset at that. Weren't guys supposed to be the ones who asked girls out? She thought to herself confusingly. She wasn't particularly good at romance after all.

She waved at T.K. and T.K. started walking over and greeted her with a hug causing her to blush slightly. "Patamon and Gatomon are already outside waiting for us" he said. "Shall we go Milady?" he asked jokingly. "We shall" she answered back in the same tone T.K. used. "Man, today was such a bore" she continued.

T.K. and Kari were able to quickly find Patamon and Gatomon lurking nearby. "Well, any ideas what we should do today you 3?" T.K. asked.

"How about fishing?" Gatomon answered with a twinkle in her eye.

"But I want coffeeeeee" Patamon wined, "lets go to the café."

"Bleh" Gatomon replied back.

"Now-now you two" Kari said slipping briefly into her kindergarten teacher mode, "I'm sure they'll be enough time to do both."

"Yeah, we can get Patamon some coffee to drink while Gatomon fishes" T.K. replied with a smile.

"I guess" Gatomon said looking somewhat satisfied.

"Besides, I can get you some mil…" T.K. cut off mid-sentence. WHAT THE HELL? T.K. almost tripped in surprise. There right in front of the group was a man who looked like Gennai, and he knew that it wasn't the good one.

Kari saw the same thing and froze like a statue. Patamon and Gatomon both adopted a serious look forgetting the previous conversation. What in the name of the Digimon Sovereigns was he doing here, in Kari's college of all places? He heard Gatomon give off a slight growl under her breath.

Kari whispered to T.K. "what do you think we should do?" He could only imagine how Kari was feeling right now with this monster invading such a personal place to her.

"Well, there's no time to alert anyone else" T.K. said thinking aloud, "we should follow at a safe distance and see what he's up to."

The other 3 nodded and followed T.K.'s lead. T.K. wasn't dumb enough to believe that "Gennai" hadn't seen them. However, he also felt certain that there wasn't any other Digimon in this area. He would be able to tell if there was a wild Digimon out and about. That would mean that even at this trying time, Patamon and Gatomon should hold the advantage if the situation would take a turn for the worst.

"Gennai" entered a building and the others followed him into it. Even if the only thing in this particular building was just a small computer lab; the building seemed oddly empty. There didn't seem to be anyone else inside it for whatever reason and the whole thing screamed TRAP.

"Be ready for anything" T.K. said while grabbing his Digivice. Kari nodded and did the same. There was no doubt that "Gennai" would be in the small computer lab doing who knows what. He signed 3…2…1…and the pair rushed forward into the room with Gatomon at the lead.

As predicted "Gennai" saw the group and let out a disturbing smile. He opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted. "LIGHTING PAW" Gatomon screamed hitting "Gennai" right in the chest then jumped back to put some distance between the two.

"Oof" "Gennai" lit out a surprised burst of pain. "BOOM BUBBLE…POW" Patamon followed hitting the man square in the head causing him to take another step back in pain but did not fall over.

"Interesting" "Gennai" stated, "I guess you all don't like me very much to just attack me like this."

"SHUT UP YOU MONSTER!" Kari yelled. "I'm not sure how you got here, but I know how you're getting out."

"M…Monster…Kari that's just plain cruel" "Gennai faked wined.

"Gatomon" Kari shouted back as Gatomon was readying up another Lighting Paw. T.K. was feeling relieved. He was beginning to realize that "Gennai" was weaker in this world and at this rate they could actually win.

Patamon was charging up another attack and everyone closed in and that's when the tables turned.

Before Gatomon and Patamon could connect with their attacks everyone froze and weird symbols popped up from all the computers and the room started to glow dark blue around the pair.

"Phew" "Gennai" wined "I cut it a little close there, you all almost had me there. However, now it's too late. I got you all a one way trip to the Dark Ocean."

T.K. heard Kari gasp in horror as she struggled to move. He knew that Kari has had nightmares about that place even to this day despite the fact it's been a long time since they were last there. No, I WON'T let that place take her again T.K. said to himself riling himself with never-before-seen determination. Not again, it won't take her.

"Things…things will be okay Kari" T.K. struggled to say. T.K. was beginning to glow yellow "I…I won't let him take you." For the briefest of moments "Gennai's" eyes lit up in horror. "Patamon, you ready?" Just as he was able to look at Patamon there was a flash and T.K. and "Gennai" were gone.

"What….?" Kari stood there in disbelief.

"T.K…? Kari called his name weakly.

Patamon fell to the ground but was caught by Gatomon.

"T.K." Patamon said trying to look brave in front of Kari and Gatomon and not doing a particularly good job at it.

"It'll be alright, we'll get him back" Gatomon said. "Kari, Kari, Kari?"

Kari wasn't listening, she was having flash backs of the time she thought her brother Tai had died. Her knees were trembling and then gave out as she collapsed on the floor tears flowing freely from her face that she couldn't control. She was alone again.

AN: So to give everyone an idea of how long this story will be I believe there will be about 2 to 3 more chapters. As this is my first ever story ever I believe it's a good goal for me to set for my first story. Anyways I hope you all enjoy this newest chapter :).
