Chapter 7 Grand Ball of Fashion and Music Part 2
After the two performances, Sun, her friends, and everyone else decide to have an intermission before the next part of the concert. They have some food and drinks and have some time to relax after the performance and the cheering.
"You were amazing, Yuni!" Hikaru happily says.
"You did a great job with your performance," Rainbow says.
"It's amazing that you were able to change your shape. It's like you became a different person," Twilight ways.
Yuni chuckles and says, "Thank you. I've became an expert of disguise."
"I'm impressed. You sure did a good job," Applejack says.
Sunset says, "I really like the concert so far."
"Thank you," Ruru says.
"We really had a fun time," Emiru says.
"That was amazing," Falling Star says.
"I really love your outfits especially Emiru and Ruru's. Are all your Precure outfits like this?" Rarity asks.
"Well, the Precure transformation and the outfits' appearance are like that depending on the person and even depending on the Precures," Elena says.
Madoka says, "Like our outfits, they're decorated with stars and those that represent outer space and imagination."
"The outfits we transformed represent the Royal Princess transformation that we turn into," Haruka says.
"Sounds interesting. I guess since my friends and I are involved with the magic of friendship, our outfits reflect who we are, along with our interest and appearances. It feels like the transformation reflects what is in our hearts and the talents we have," Sun says.
"I think I understand, but I'm not sure if I do," Haruka says.
"It's mostly a possible theory," Sun says.
"I think it's a good explanation as well," Towa says.
Sun turns to Towa, "So Towa, do you and your friends like to perform for the concert?"
"Yes. My brother and I are actually going to play a duet on our violins," Towa says.
"You play violin. How elegant," Rarity says.
Kanata says, "Yes. We both used to play the violin a long time ago."
"I see. I'm sure you both will do a great job," Sunset says.
Sun turns to Sunset, "Hey Sunset, are you interested in performing."
"Oh, um, I don't know. I have never been on a stage before. I mean, I do sing, but I'm not sure about being on stage," Sunset says.
"I think you'll do fine," Pinkie says.
"You never know unless you try. I know you can do it. Hooray Hooray Sunset! Go!" Hana happily cheers.
Sunset thinks about it and says, "Um sure. I think I can do one. But I don't know what song to sing?"
"Well, Fluttershy and I remember a few songs for you to play. While Towa and Kanata play their violin duet, we can go over some of the song. There are a few solo songs for you to sing," Suns says.
"Okay," Sunset replies.
A little time later, Towa and Kanata are playing their violins on the stage.
As the siblings play their instruments, Sun and Fluttershy are able to come up with a few ideas for Sunset to play. Sunset looks at the list of songs and listens to some of the music that is played. Sunset is interested in them, but isn't sure which one to listen to.
Towa and Kanata continue to play the violin one of the songs they play, the magic from them continues to be drained even more with them noticing. Kumonosu watches the performance while he awaits for his true plan to take place. Just then, Sunset has her attention on a certain song and listens to it.
Sunset then says, "I'll choose this one."
Sun then listens to the song herself, and nods her head. Even Fluttershy nods her head.
Back in the ballroom, Towa and Kanata finish their violin performance and evolve claps for them. That's when Sun, Fluttershy, and Sunset return and with the song in mind.
"Hey guys, we're back," Sun says.
"Hey girls, you're just in time. We're about to go on," Rainbow says.
"Okay. And Rainbow, we decided the song Sunset wants to sing. You guys want to play it with her?" Sun asks.
"Of course silly. We'll play whatever song there is," Pinkie says.
Adagio says, "Sure. So, what song do you choose?"
Sun and Sunset show them the song.
Adagio says, "Hmm, that's a good one."
"Well then, so which song are we doing?" Falling Star asks.
"You guys remember the song I wrote when it was just us girls in the Rainbooms?" Sun asks.
The girls of the Rainbooms nod their heads.
"We're going to play that one," Sun says.
"Sounds good. We haven't played that one in a while," Aria says.
"Then let's rock," Rainbow says.
Soon enough, the Rainbooms are already on stage. Wire Wolf is watching Regana with Nina sitting on his shoulder as Spike stays close to Sombra. The Rainbooms are on the stage. Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity have their instruments. While the Dazzlings, Twilight, and Falling Star stand in front one side of the stage with microphones while Sun stands on the other side with another microphone.
Pinkie taps her drum sticks together, "One two three four!"
With that, the group begins to play their instruments.

Soon, Sun and her friends begin to transform, gaining their pony ears, extended hair, and some gain wings.

Everyone is amazed to see the transformation as they perform. Kumonosu evilly smiles to see Equestria Magic being exposed from them.

Soon, everyone claps and cheers in excitement.
In the secret room, the bottles containing the gang's magic continue to ride, and it's almost full for each of the bottles.
Sun holds out the microphone, "Okay everyone, now we have one more song for tonight. Sunset Shimmer comes on up."
A little nervous, Sunset walks on the stage and takes the microphone. Sun then walks off the stage and meets up with Wire Wolf and the others. Sunset takes a deep breath as the Rainbow Dash starts off with the guitar strumming. And soon, Sunset begins to sing the music of her choice.
Sunset Shimmer:
Don't get me wrong
I love who I am
I don't wanna be ungrateful
It probably sounds strange
I really love the role I play
The songs I sing
But with all the fame
The things that seem so simple
Are suddenly so far out of reach

That's when the Rainbooms begin to start playing the other instruments.

Sunset Shimmer feels happy as she sings the music, and is able to perform on a stage.

Strike a pose for the front cover of a magazine
Everywhere I arrive I get high-fives

Everyone in the audience enjoys the music as they watch Sunset Shimmer and the Rainbooms play.

As the concert continues, the magical essence from everyone continues to be siphon. Shocking, the magical essence is being pulled into the crystals of the chandelier above the ballroom, and continues to travel through them and into the bottles as they are close to being filled.
Sunset Shimmer:

The band stops playing for a little while for Rainbow to play a calm solo. Then the band plays again.
Kumonosu then teleports himself away and sees that the bottles are just about full.

After the concert, everyone claps and cheers with excitement for the performance. Sunset blushes and smiles to be able to sing on stage and be with great friends.
In the secret room, Kumonosu looks around to see that all the bottles are now full of the Precures along with Sun and her friends' magic.
He evilly grins and says, "Now that I have all the magic I require. It's time to mix them all together."
Kumonosu holds the bottle up in the air, and all the magic from the five bottles glows and are being levitated from the bottles. The bottles' magical essence mix together and is poured into Kumonosu's bottle.
"And now, to obtain his magical essence," Kumonosu says.
In the ballroom, everyone continues to talk among themselves, or dancing, or even having some of the refreshments. Sun and Sunset look around to notice Kumonosu isn't around.
"Where is Kumonosu?" Sunset asks.
"I'm not sure. I'm getting a bad feeling about this," Sun says to herself.
Mágico looks around as well and heads towards the girls, "Yes. I'm getting a bad vibe as well."
Suddenly, the lights go out causing everyone to look up in surprise and shock.
"What's going on?" Twilight asks.
Towa says, "Everyone, be on your guard."
"Remember, to be alert," Sun says.
Everyone stays with their group and remains close to protect the animal fairies and the babies. Mágico also has Sunset close to her and hopes to protect her from whatever is going to happen. Unknown to them, someone is standing behind them and is holding the same bottle Kumonosu had and aims it towards Mágico. Suddenly, Mágico's magical essence begins to glow, and the magic is being transferred into the bottle without him noticing. Soon, he closes the bottle and disappears before Mágico notices.
Suddenly, Mágico begins to feel strange and touches his chest.
Noticing it, Sunset asks, "Mágico, what's wrong?"
"I… I don't know… I feel a bit strange all of the sudden," Mágico says.
Suddenly, they hear Kumonosu's voice, "Hello everyone, thank you for helping me gather everything I need."
Suddenly, a light turns on to reveal Kumonosu is in the middle of the ballroom and is holding the bottle with all the magic mixed inside.
"Kumonosu?" Haruka asks, confused.
"Where did you come from?" Rainbow asks.
"I just came here. I thought, I should thank you all for allowing me to syphon your magical essence, and part of your magic. And I also like to thank you Mágico, for allowing me to take yours," Kumonosu says.
"What?" Mágico says, shocked.
Sunset worriedly asks, "Kumonosu, I don't understand. What's going on?"
Kumonous' evilly grins and says, "Sunset Shimmer, I'll be frank with you. The magic I gathered from these people and from Mágico isn't for the cure of your illness. I have much better plans for the magic I've collected."
Towa sternly says,"So you've revealed your true self?"
"True self?" Kumonosu questions and begins to laugh maniacally making everyone confused.
He then says, "This form I've taken is the result of me being banished here centuries ago. And now that I've gathered all of Equestria Magic and all the Precure's magic, I can finally release the magic that Princess Celestia and Princess Luna have locked away before they banished me to this place."
This shocked everyone in the room, especially for Sun and Sunset Shimmer.
Sun exclaims, "Princess Celestia and Princess Luna?!"
Kumonosu levitates the bottle in the air and it begins to glow a dark and frightening aura. Everyone is shocked to see this and the ground begins to shake.
Then Kumonosu says, "You should know the true identity of your future ruler. My real name was Arachnis Spun Web, a powerful Spider creature known as an Arachnie. Long Ago, I was known to be a powerful and magical creature who led my spider army to take over a place called Equestria. All the ponies who live there ended up being captured and tied within by beautiful threats. They were at my mercy. But then, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, the rulers of the land dare to challenge me, and use these things called the Elements of Harmony to seal away my magic and banish me to this place. When I witnessed all the Precures magic and the Equestrian Magic, I knew that I could gather enough of their magic to break the seal the princesses placed on me and I can have my magic once more."
Yuni glares at Kumonosu, "So all this time, you were using Sunset as a pawn for your plan. Mágico was right not to trust you."
"What you did was horrible. All Sunset wanted to do is get better so she can be with her family and friends," Nodoka says.
"How dare you take advantage of that?! Sunset trusted you, and you trampled it like it was nothing!" Towa angrily says.
"Do not fret, I was never going to hurt Sunset. In fact, I actually like Sunset. She's a very sweet and kind girl. Of course, hearing her desire to get better, it's too much to pass up," Kumonosu says.
Sunset Shimmer is stunned to hear this. Mágico holds Sunset with worry as the poor girl is on the verge of tears.
"But enough of that, it's time to break the seal and release my true magic," Kumonosu says.
Kumonosu then uses his magic to send a magical aura around him, and the bottle tips over and the magical essence is being poured on him. Everyone is shocked to see this as Kumonosu begins to grow and he feels his magic is being returned with the addition of magic he has collected. Sun and her friends wonder how they are going to get out of this one.
